Incredible experience, Staff was super friendly. Food was cooked to perfection. Overall 5 stars.

We was a group of 3 people and all ordered the large full English breakfast. The breakfast was barely cooked and even for Wetherspoons it was not good.

Cheap and cheerful! Everything you'd expect from a Weatherspoons. If only all the staff there were as attentive and customer focused as Amy.

My husband and I came 30th August after a hectic week at work, ordered steak, chips and salad. The salad was missing, so went up to the young assistant who was clearly new. Her reply was 'my bad' but proceeded to put it though the till, and said 'that will be £2.29! My reply 'how are you asking me to pay for your incompetence, she then fumbled around to ask another young incompetent person who reiterated exactly what she'd said. I wasn't prepared to answer anymore....furthermore we will vote with our feet and never return. Weatherspoons you've definitely earned that title. Your cheap for a reason. Disgusting and to add further you can't cook a steak to the standard the customer asked for!, Vile place. We will stick to our favourite place in future and it ain't here.

Had a fantastic meal Our only downfall was the disabled toilet is not up to scratch no handrails far to small needs looking at

Great pub, food drinks and the service was great. However as a disabled person l was very disappointed with the disabled toilet facilities. It was no more than an ordinary toilet tucked inside the normal toilets. There were no handrails and no sink and dryer in the cubicle which made it extremely difficult for me. This issue needs looking into, at least put some handrails in there.

Came here today after working a 12 hour shift and the young boy who proudly stated he’s a manager abruptly told me to take my broken ankle that I need to keep elevated off the already dirty stool or to leave the premises. I come here most days after work and never cause any trouble. Continued to make it know he is a ‘ manager’ .. I manage a salon and would never make my clients feel unwelcome .. I go out of my way to make people feel happy and welcome .. this is not what I felt here earlier today. He was rude and well above above himself. How this makes people feel good about themselves at the end of a working day is embarrassing.. should have been sorting the men outside fighting not a women trying to rest her broken ankle!

Typical Wetherdpoons venue. Food was good.

Made the mistake of having their jacket potato. There very small indeed. Before they got gready the jacket potato's were big. They started dishing out small ones a while back but I had forgotten. The atmosphere and service excellent but still hungry after meal.

Ordered a bangers and mash awful dry no gravy.

I was contacted by someone for a place to meet and we chose this venue Everything was great! A nice meal and a nice non alcoholic beer

My wife and I have been visiting this pub for a number of years. We always had good service up until today, and my wife ordered our meal with no. Warning of a wait, but alas after 45 mins we enquired were said meals were, the waiter harshly replied "there's a 30 min wait!!". When our dinners were served to us, they were boiling hot and overcooked as if they had been on a hot plate for ages!!. When we asked for our money back, the manager was very short with us. All in all, a disappointing visit to a once favourite pub.

Food was tasty but only just warm. Only seemed to be one person doing everything.

Busy compared to most of the other pubs on mapperley plains. Prices far cheaper than competitors.

The service was terrible the reasons behind this comment are: 1. When we came in, there was sauce on the chair. 2. We switched the chair to find mashed potatoes on it 3. We finally got a clean chair and then put our elbows on the table and got stuck to it 4. When our food was delivered it was delivered to the wrong table 5. When we got our food it was the wrong order 6. They finally fixed my order but then my burger was cold 7. Then the staff tried to give us someone else's food despite the table next to us saying it was theirs 8. We ordered food on the app and I went up to the bar to say I don't want Belgian chocolate sauce and they ignored me serving 4 people ahead of me who were their after me and the pub was practically empty. By the time they acknowledged me they had already served the desert to my table so they had to redo it.

Good food and drinks. Modern pub with good atmosphere. Good value drinks and food. It is a Wetherspoons so you know exactly what to expect. Has clean toilets. Some outdoor seating at front of the building for seating outside in good weather. Limited street parking nearby but free for 2 hours. Does not have a car park for the venue. Visited recently and still good value for drinks but food quality is not as good as it once was.

Fabulous building with plenty of seating. We had Katsu curry with a side salad. Very tasty.

0/10 hygiene! Very dirty tables and glasses. The service me and my family got when we asked the staff to clean was appalling. The first one doesn’t clean it properly and the second one who came along gave it a proper clean. Oh and this was happening after 15 minutes of sitting. If you value cleanliness and basic hygiene, do NOT come here

Just went for a drink, my favourite beer Guinness 🍺

It is pretty much the same as all Wetherspoons in the uk. It opens early at 9am , serves food which is average. It's very clean, bonus that the toilets are situated on the ground floor. There is outside seating and one side is for smoking and the other for non smokers. A double Courvoisier in a tall glass with coke to the top only cost £5.83 which is quite good especially considering it was not a house brandy.

Cheap and cheerful, had breakfast ,asked for sausage and bacon to be well done . Great food for the price

First time here for a Sunday breakfast and wasn't disappointed. Very quick table service and value for money, good portion size. Perhaps the bacon could have been cooked more but on the whole a very good effort. I opted for large breakfast and partner had pancakes, bacon and syrup. Coffee also to high standard and free refills. Will return, I see why people do, on Sundays

For the first hour I was having a very good laugh with the 2 female bar staff , very postcard humour and we all seem to be enjoying it, I was 20p short and I had my hands full so I said to her you'll have to get it out of my pocket for me , laughing as was I she looked in my pocket still laughing that was the end of that until the very young manager came marching over and loud enough for everyone to hear accused me of sexual assault, when I threatened to complain she laughed and said SO WHAT ! I complained a few times and have had no response, I've had 3 or 4 people ask me about what she accused me of so my next step is to get legal help ! 100% unforgivable behaviour

Stopped in for a coffee on our way to QMC in Nottingham. It was adequate for what we were there for and did the job. It's a Wetherspoons and you get what you expect and nothing more. One that fits firmly into the 'Spoons portfolio marked 'Average'. It's Ok, says it all really. Unmemorable.

Food is to be expected for a Weatherspoons, it's a consistent quality, always served promptly and the staff are always friendly. Drinks always seem to come in a reasonable time even when ordered through the app, prices are fair enough to have a good time without feeling guilty of overspending.

Great place for a Drink,very reasonable prices. But had a meal,large mixed Grill that wasn't good at all the chicken was so thin as was the Gammon ,and the steak was just a piece of fat and had about 5 chips .when asked if my meal was ok I said no to the tall lady with Glasses and she just walked off.Table wasn't clean and Meal was terrible,but as I said Drink price very good.would only visit for Drinks if I went to a weatherspoons again.

Warm cosy place during quiet times. But prefer Samuel Hall due to there being more tables, better mobile phone reception to get one time code for ordering on their app and more power points next to tables.

Ordered chicken and it said half a chicken!!!! I've seen more meat on a sparrows kneecap. It was a plate of bones and re fried chips

I like a good pint of doombar but the one I had here wasn't up to scratch. However the food was nice.

We arrived about 5.45 and the place was packed. We ordered food and drinks which arrived fairly quickly. However my steak was more gristle than meat. When the waitress cleared the table she was very apologetic and gave us a free J20. The staff were great, the food was OK (desserts were nice) but you don't go to Wetherspoons for atmosphere.

The atmosphere was lovely. However, the management need training on customer service. Completely unprofessional.

Wanted a quick inexpensive meal for my Wife Granddaughter Great Granddaughter and myself without having to book a table after going to a pantomime no carpark at this branch but was lucky there was a disabled bay empty only 2 ordered on line was very pleased with quick service food was hot and very nice 👍

Went here last night (December 16th) with family following a Christmas meal to have some drinks. We’d been there for around 1.5-2 hours. My cousin accidentally picked up someone else’s drink from the bar mistakenly thinking it was hers. The manager then comes over to our table to say we need to leave and accuses my cousin of trying to steal drinks. We offered to pay for the drink and apologised (as it was an honest mistake) but he was extremely rude and then got security to walk us out which was very embarrassing. We aren’t rowdy people, we were there with our parents and it completely ruined the night for us all. The situation was handled extremely poorly by the manager, there was no empathy and no attempt to reach a resolution. He immediately decided we were thieves and made us leave. He even tried to tell my cousin to leave on her own (bearing in mind she doesn’t live local and travelled a long time with her mum to be there for the occasion). Will definitely not be going back and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. Next year when we have our annual Christmas meal on Mapperley top we’ll be going elsewhere for drinks.

We have an annual tradition as a family to meet at the local restaurant and have a few drinks afterwards here. This year however we had a lovely evening up until a simple misunderstanding was blown out of proportion by the manager, Jack Spears. He was irrational. A bartender put a drink in front of one of our family members in a big round and they presumed the drink was one of ours, Jack then jumped to say she was a thief. He swiftly ran over to say “get out” in a belligerent manner. Even after a measured statement to say we’d simply pay for it, he stubbornly stuck to his guns and called the bouncers to kick out our family. After this, our elders asked his name and to speak to him reasonably but he instead ran away to the kitchen to hide after realising his mistake. If this is what weatherspoons has resorted to in management, I worry about their longevity.

Went here to meet two friends. Managed to get parked outside as a disabled customer. Just your general spoons. Food and service was great

The service was speedy. So, why only one star for the service? Because the table was dirty. We sat at an empty table, it had been cleared of dirty plates and glasses, but the table was covered in wet wine stains and bits of food and a used napkin. No effort was made to clean it, and when the drinks and later the food were served, the glasses and the plates were put down on the dirty table. Rather disgusting really.

Always really busy, friendly staff and really good food considering the price! Can be very noisy, and difficult to get a table but would recommend.

The food was good and the service was quick and friendly. We had a vegetarian Fiesta Burger and a Fish and Chips, both were lovely.

Just popped in for a hot drink...unlimited refills for a bargain £1.50...ended up having a few Nanchos later on..

Went for breakfast the veggie breakfast was alright as always and staff friendly enough and the place clean and tidy but the lighting in there is always so dim and dark it's off putting or we would go more often. My Autistic son won't go in at all he point blank refuses because of how dark it is in there. Could really do with investing in some brighter lighting because it's always moody atmospheric twilight but without the decor to match the boudoir lighting levels.

Went for breakfast. Food arrived quickly. Food wasn’t overly hot. But that seems to be the norm in all Wetherspoons. Overall a decent breakfast. Was quite a few tables with empty plates that needed clearing. All in all it was a pleasant experience

Had to go for an impromptu breakfast when heating engineers arrived early. Excellent service,great food and varied menu. We all enjoyed a relaxed and leisurely breakfast. Staff friendly and and helpful.

I was quite disappointed with my recent visit to The Woodthorpe Top - JD Wetherspoon. I encountered multiple issues during my breakfast, including the presence of eggshells and even a piece of spall in my meal. This combination of problems left me with a less than satisfactory dining experience. Finding eggshells in my breakfast and discovering a piece of spall in the dish were certainly not what I had expected. These issues raised concerns about the overall cleanliness and food quality control in the establishment. It's essential for a restaurant to uphold high standards of hygiene and food quality, and my experience fell short of those expectations. I hope The Woodthorpe Top takes this feedback seriously and works on improving their food preparation and safety measures to ensure a more enjoyable and worry-free dining experience for all customers.

Took hubby, daughter and friend for a meal at lunch, meals came out at different times, albeit lovely to eat, barman very friendly, waitress did not look happy though, hope she was ok.

Not bad for a Spoons pub. Slow service, thanks to Tim Martin for overworking and underdtaffing, which makes the beer & food so cheap! But the ale is good and the staff & punters are patient. You'll get a better experience next door, but you'll pay more & you'll be tripping over dogs!

The staff often disappear so no ones behind the bar and when they are there they don't know who to serve next because they don't seem interested

Where to start ! The manager JOSH ! And staff had the worst attitudes ! The food was stone cold (which I will be reporting to food and hygiene) the steak was so tough ! The chicken burger was extremely dry and the chicken breast had to be cut in half to try and be eaten! The garlic bread was burn ! The whole of our family meal was a waste of money! They didn’t even ask if our food was alright! The place is dirty ! Plates and glasses left out ! And the toilets were disgusting! I really don’t think they ever clean them ! That was the last time we will ever be visiting!

Came to this spoons as our usual one was out of vegan sausages. Extremely shocked to see it cost us over £4 more for the exact same food (only just over a mile away from our usual too)! Half the tables were filthy, even if the plates had been cleared away no one was wiping the tables. A floor staff member was wearing a crop top and cargo pants which considering everyone else was wearing proper uniform seems scruffy and unfair to other staff. It’s only spoons but if they have the nerve to make it more expensive than others nearby then you expect it to feel worth the extra money but actually it was much dirtier than our usual.

We live locally, I can only rate this Wetherspoons as chaos ,dirty tables ,no staff to be bothered to clear them ,generally full of crying children, workmen ,noisy atmosphere, avoid at all cost. Wetherspoons head office need to get involved

I visited here for a well awaited catch up and a bite to eat with friends . When our food arrived our eggs Benedict were Luke warm , I informed a member of staff who said he was sorry and took them . When they returned the cold ham was very hot and shrivelled up and the eggs a little warmer . They must of microwaved the whole lot before returning to us . I won’t be returning.

I met up with a couple of my ex work friends got a drink from the bar very friendly staff member ordered food on the app coz we were sat outside food came very quickly and was delicious thankyou so much we will definitely go again

Had a American double cheeseburger today, wasn’t very good at all, had about 3 little squares of red onion on it, and also got around ten chips to go with it, not really good value for money tbh

Standard Wetherspoon's pub, cheap and cheerful pub, has a small beer garden at the entrance of the pub which is a bonus for a spoons.

Don’t expect much from Wetherspoons but do at least expect your drinks to arrive before your food and for them not too forget one of the meals!

Bit slow on breakfast foods , bacon was missing on both our freedom breakfasts , asked the waiter he said OK. No result or money off voucher for nxt time , I don't think going back .overpriced for 2 coffees, £1:40 each, my local spoons 99p.
