Costa Coffee - Mapperley in Gedling

Love the new location of Costa,it's much bigger,much better now. The staff are just as good as they always have been, even when they are busy they still find time to talk to you. Great work 👏👏

Bland, overpriced coffee-like drinks in bland surroundings. Apparently this is the “Costa of the future”. The only futuristic thing I can identify here is the pricing, as I assume they are charging 2034 prices and not 2024 ones.

I'm a big fun of costa coffee but I wouldn't choose to visit this one again. A bit dirty, flies flying on top of your order, I'd prefer to visit one of the local coffee shops next time.

Ordered a large Cappuccino “wet” but when I got home & the froth was settled it was only a medium. Very disappointed for the price of a large Cappuccino!

2nd ordered a mocha and chicken pharmacy but no shwarma on order. why do they not say it is not in stock!

I'm not a coffee drinker or ever really visit a coffee shop. However meeting friends so I didn't have a choice. Sat outside in the glorious sun, luckily there is also some shade from both friends and the awning 😀 . I enjoyed the cake and tea, although it was only cake and tea. Friends seemed to enjoy the coffee. Did not go inside. Went again and the cake was gorgeous. Now winter the place is always busy at lunch time but always seem to get a seat. Recently visited, staff were brilliant, very chatty and great service.

It’s the most expensive Costa shop but on the top of that all table outside the filing it’s like the pissa the awing not work ,the front door it’s broken, the air conditioner blowing cold,and they raise the price Up every single month,greedy owner by my opinion!!!

Staff were friendly and helpful.Clean and tidy surroundings but a few chairs looked a bit well used.Good coffee as always.

Delivery very quick, but food prep took a very long time.

Store is amazing 🙇‍♂️🙇‍♂️ this delivery driver is amazing 🙇‍♂️🙇‍♂️. Only issue if any would be site not updated enough, starting to think we don’t have semi skimmed milk anymore :)

My friend and I popped in today for 2 takeaway coffees , greeted by 2 lovely staff members, very friendly , the lady who made our coffees was so friendly, it made our day. Thank you

Ordered on deliveroo, so can’t comment on service. My sandwich was literally mouldy, with today’s date on it. First of all, it should’ve been reduced if it goes out of date today, surely? But to eat half of it and then realise there’s white fluffy mould growing on it was truly spectacular. Let’s hope I don’t get sick! Unacceptable.

The ladies on service today went above and beyond for me. I had a wisdom tooth out and wanted a coffee. I asked for a straw as I was still numb - they obliged without hesitation and even made my coffee a little cooler so I wouldn't burn myself. Made my day after feeling weird asking for a straw for a hot coffee!

Really missing the guys at Costa Mapperley. Its really disappointing going passed the empty shop. Can't wait to see the boys and girls again, such a pleasant bunch of people. Hope everyone is well and safe. Since writing this review the guys have reopened, it was great to see Kiely, Jasmine and Drew ( I think) again. Customer care was excellent, coffee was excellent as was the Service I received. Welcome back Costa Mapperley

Missed food off order didn't even call to offer alternative

Service was good. Coffee was hot. Unfortunately the tray our drinks were put on was wet through and dirty. This wasn't noticed by either of us until I placed the tray on the table. We needed the code for the toilet which was on the receipt. That was wet though and unreadable. A couple on the next table kindly told us it. Please check your trays before giving them to people to use.

Not a regular visitor to this particular shop. Mainly the shop is far too small for the amount of customers they serve. Always busy....but I personally feel it's far too cramped, very noisy.. personally not a place I can relax in.

Coffee barely had any milk it was just a big espresso , sadly didn’t taste good either hence poor review. Food was ok.

Just a thank you and appreciation for the good service! Two ladies working had high energy and smiles which is needed on a busy morning, queue was building but everything was well under control, tidy and took only a few minutes to be served, my hot choc and the look of others was spot on. Thanks!

Lovely Costa always a good welcome

This is one of my favourite Costa locations, and I've visited a fair few. They have really lovely staff here, and it's always a warm welcome. Nice open-plan layout and well located in Mapperley Plains. The usual selection of food and drink that you would expect, and you never have to wait long to be served.

Lovely hot chocolate with cream on top 🍦☕Hubby had his usual cappuccino with an extra shot of ☕ coffee 💖

The drink’s I ordered arrived empty not very happy at all

Something about the cups/ lids at this branch that make them always spill. Poor selection of food available compared to city centre

Typical Costa Coffee experience. Wait in line while they faff about just making an over priced coffee. £3.15 for a flat white is not cheap. When you finally get your order, you have to search for somewhere to sit. Most tables taken up as usual by push chairs or someone sat there on their lap top for two hours. Only came here as there wasn't much choice in the area but needs must.

My panini was still hot and my tea was carefully wrap and hot absolutely love it will be ordering here in future

Restaurant called me advising they ran out of stock for the bacon buttys offered a replacement I advised them I’d like the drink still but would request a refund for the bacon buttys Good service

Disappointed with the standard! Toastie was warm and not toasted at all. The sausages in the bap were dry and a bit weird. No condiments, napkins or straws for the two lemonades. At £4 a pop for them lemonades I’d expect to get some lemonade! It was mostly ice!

The cortado leaked out through the bag as well as onto the 2 paper straws for the iced drinks. Couldn't find the brown sugar?

I ordered caramel iced late when it arrived it had mo caramel in it very disappointing

The first order we placed was badly packed, spilled in the bag and fell through, spilling everything as the delivery guy was handing it over. We had the order cancelled and refunded, but when we re-ordered the same thing, the caramel latte (w/ cream, sweetener etc…) was replaced by a standard white coffee. No sweetener, no cream, no caramel sauce.

Costa coffee in mapperly top was lovely. Treated the family to coffee and hot chocolate drink. First class service.

We ordered 5 items and got 4. This isn’t the first time and it was one of the reasons we went here. Should have learned our lesson the first time I guess. Great food & drink, but whoever packs the food is incompetent

The table was dirty the seats were dirty the floor had food everywhere , they had no cups for tea or coffee .THIS IS NOT WHAT YOU EXPECT FROM A COSTA COFFEE SHOP😥

Dirty. Dirty seats, Dirty floors, had to drink from a paper cup, the tea was very weak. Won't be going again. Disappointed.

One of the best Costa shops around Nottingham, always great service and drinks made properly. We always endeavour to get to this store, even if we're miles away!

This is literally the worst Costa ever, first the staff is rude as hell. No manners. And we ordered drink that were supposed to be iced. But All I got was luke warm dirty water tasting mess, that obviously I didn't dare to drink. And drink making station was mess and dirty. Would not recommend.

For me, a franchise generally serves the same food. And I only mark usually on service. This Costa for my wife and I, was horrible. The staff were so rude and our iced drinks were warm. If I am ever in the area, I will visit one of the many independent cafés.
