I was working there for one night and therefore can't comment on food or service. It was a pleasure working there though and both the staff, management and customers were really nice.

We had drinks only but very pleasant staff and reasonable prices.

Had a lovely afternoon for my granddaughters baby shower , 22nd July 2023 , a big thank you to Jake the manager and his staff ,who went over and above , to ensure a memorable time xx

Massive improvement with the new management team, who are trying hard to improve things. Thumbs up.

Had a birthday party here and the manager and staff went above and beyond to make our experience lovely. They could not help enough and will deffo be coming here more often xx

I called in after having my car washed next door. I cannot speak too highly of the new licensee. I had a pint of Elsie Mo and found the taste, the temperature, the clarity and the head retention to be absolutely perfect. Castle Rock Brewery's head brewer would be proud of the landlord. Sadly I could only have the one pint as I was obviously driving, but I will be making further visits and on the bus in future.

Under new management. When I went it had only been 4 days since the new manager had taken over. He did a fantastic job of making us all feel welcome. Will be visiting again!

Things have declined massively since new owners have come in. Terrible smell from the toilets, beer flat and service is bad. Made to feel unwelcome in a pub with no other customers. Such a shame.

Traditional pub with excellent real ales. Friendly staff too. (Real fire not lit again??) Sadly it has completely changed, only 2 real ales on, previous visit only ONE real ale now wishing to attract the lager drinkers. Friendly staff gone.

6 of us for drinks only. My husband says his John Smith's was a better pint than the pub next door. Nice atmosphere.

Had my mothers 70th birthday party in the function room, it was a fantastic day! Jenny was more than accomadating, I will definitely use this place again and I fully recommend it. Thanks again for making my mums day special.

We popped in for a drink before going home. Sat outside with the dog. Had a pint of mild which you don't see a lot of plus a cider

In the afternoon a quiet place to enjoy a pint, seating is good and kept clean. The drinks are also well kept and staff polite. A good old fashioned warm and welcoming bar.

Stopped in for Sunday dinner. I understand it has new owners (a few weeks in) hence no menus. Strange set up trying to order drinks and dinners "can you order your food at the other end of the bar" then order the drinks back at the opposite end, then you cannot pay for both together. I don't know if it was because we was eating at 2 o'clock (could it have been cooked by 12?) but the dinner was terrible!. I chewed my way thro one of the Yorkshire puddings (one was more then enough) the lamb was also like chewing gum (which I'm amazed at being such a fatty meat its nigh on impossible to achieve) & veg was boiled within an inche of its life. Mash and the gravy was nice. Did not stay for pudding God only knows... Wouldn't recommend and won't be going back.

Only popped in for a couple of drinks (as we have done on very rare occasions when visiting in-laws over the past 40 years but probably the last time 10+ years ago) but was amazed by how much of a locals pub it was, everyone seemed to know everyone. Lively (there was a charity DJ), good beer and friendly staff. Loved it

Really nice local feel, public house. Always a good pint, just check out the picture of my pint. Has a regular switch up of real ale's if that's your tipple. Bar is a little small for those who like to prop it up. But other than that great. Nice function room, occasional live entertainment. Friendly staff 👊🏻 large seating area outside in the summer that gets the sun until it sets on the adjacent farm hills. Moving on to the colder season it has 2 open fires that just make you not wanting to leave

Great traditional pub with pleasant atmosphere and staff. Just what you need for a pint with the Mrs and maybe a nice meal or a bite to soak it up. These cultural gems are becoming harder to find but this one is still a winner

Pre booked Xmas day dinner was excellent. There were 7 of us, all our food was just as we ordered. Homemade, very generous portions. Great staff, served in a lovely, well set out function room and plenty of space.

This public house with a separate room for functions is a great friendly place to go to unwind the pub has been in business for many years and the Managers at present are very caring and professional The pub serves good (looked after real ale and good quality lagers) I have never had a bad drink or bad glass as you often get in many Pubs these days. The pub snacks are ie home made excellent cobs or other and are really great value for money and are always fresh 5 stars for this. It has a pleasant outside area with seating and seems to be a great sun trap. However if you fancy a sing they have a very professional karaoke which have been on the circuit a long time called the Undertakers, 1 day a week. It’s a really nice and great local.

Very attractive cozy pub in Redhill, a suburb of Nottingham. Friendly atmosphere and good selection of drinks. I always look forward to visiting there. Pub food is also available. Worth a visit if you are in the area.

We visited here today and the fantastic service donna gave on a sad day was excellent. This pub is a traditional pub with a function room out back. The food provided was delicious and donna helped my friend carolanne and I along with the many others who attended today.

Came here for Sunday lunch with my son. All I can say is fantastic food. I had a large dinner and it coukd seriously feed 2 people. Will definitely return.

Donna and her staff are great hosts. The service and food are of excellent quality at a reasonable price. And of course the traditional beer is kept to a high standard. If you don't go you are missing out.

Good ol' fashioned pub. A friendly welcome, great pint, wholesome food - excellent Sunday lunch! Plenty of parking and outside seating. Staff are great and there's always something going on. Private room for party/event hire. Sometimes quiet which is good when you want it, otherwise very popular Friday nights and Sunday lunchtime.

(think was landlady.) greeted me with yes? ordered a drink, was served and then totally ignored, left drink,walked out after 15 mins of being ignored and not even said goodbye to me, think she needs to get out of the people business. 15mins

Food was brilliant, proper fish & hand cut chips. All our party enjoyed their food. We ordered 2 x the veggi burgers as well and they were very good, could have done with a bit of salad in the buns but your not paying a lot for them. We could take the dog, so he sat under the table while we ate. Friendly service. We are all going back to try the Sunday Lunch.

Visited a week or so ago to be met my a smile on the bar, I was served quickly by a young girl maybe early 20s who poured the perfect pint, assumed she was relevantly new. Never the less she was marvellous and I will definitely be returning soon! Thanks! Didn't get the girls name. Next time, have a pint on me! Dec.

Quick service and pleasant staff

This is a lovely pub with honest home cooking gotta be the best food in the area by far. The service was 5 stars polite,friendly and fast I will definitely be going back for more.

My family and I dropped into the Wagon & Horses on spec for Sunday lunch. First impressions of the pub are mixed and the service was a little slow. However, the food is clearly home cooked and reasonably priced. We enjoyed the food and would return if in need of food and in the area. Wouldn't make a special trip though.

This is a lovely local pub on the main road into Nottingham, from the north. Good selections of beer and friendly staff. Dog friendly so can't fault! Simple meals but value for money, especially the Sunday lunch.

The pubs a lovely place on the main road foods average Sunday lunch decent pint of real ale, efficient friendly staff, prices are good for food but u get what u pay for. We will be back I'm sure, it's got a real local feel about it.
