The Gleaners Inn in Gedling

Absolutely delicious. The quest was food and we weren't disappointed. After having not booked, just hoping to eat, we found a gem. The food was excellent, and the YORSHIRE PUDDINGS were puddings to be proud of. The quality of service was very good, nothing was overlooked, and the atmosphere was very relaxed and friendly. My mum finished her plate, which is amazing coz she's 84. And that's no joke. We will definitely be returning and highly recommend The Gleaners Inn.

Came in tonight for curry night as was sold out last week, I got to say it was really nice and tasty definitely will be coming again great price also! Thank you again for great food and amazing atmosphere x

Went in around 10-15 minutes after opening time at12 wasn't very hungry decided on small fish and chips &mushy Peas the fish was very tasty chips freshly done would highly recommend

Had a great night, staff are lovely no problem getting served. Was quite busy as there was a band on. Not much seating when there's entertainment but OK if you're having a dance

I went yesterday and had sausage and mash. Sausages were cremated and brick hard and mash was tasteless and well the gravy was like water with no granules.Told them and they were not interested and still paid for it. All in all my meal was disgusting will never go back.!!!!!

This place is amazing. Everyone welcomes you in. Everyone talks to everyone. The food is to die for and decently priced. The chef really wants to please you with home made food with a menu that you don't know what to have because it all sounds nice. Two diverse outdoor spaces, one like a large gazebo in the shade and the other out the front in the sun, to suit various tastes and weather conditions. This is one of the best bar/gastro pubs about. I'll return with Erin the Hedgehog. Thank you for your hospitality. Animal friendly. X

First visit in many years, only stayed for a couple of drinks with hubby and brother in law. Will visit again in the future.

We've had food here a number of times and it's always been excellent. Whenever we pop in, we've been met with friendly, attentive service and delicious, home cooked style food. The portions are generous and you can tell it's all freshly made. We've had Sunday roasts here before a few times, definitely the best within miles for taste, freshness and value for money. Would definitely recommend.

Nipped here after work for some dinner and it was really nice would recommend to everyone to come here for some food and drinks

Fantastic, friendly staff and customers, very good real ales changed on a regular basis. Dog friendly with a great garden for them to have a sniff around.

Very friendly pub and I mean both the staff and the regulars, We've been in a few times now for sunday lunch and never had a bad meal, All cooked fresh to order nothing is too much trouble. So 10/10 for food and atmosphere!

Significant improvement compared to my last visit a two or three years ago. A much more welcoming place. Will be using more often.

The beer wasnt great, the pub was took over by kids,the table was filthy and the atmosphere wasnt very pleasent as the pub was full of regulars and they took priority of being served at the bar.

Good food, brilliant Sunday lunches, available to eat in or takeaway. Lawned garden area with seating suitable for children and families. Is fenced off from the car park. Also another outside area with seating and parasols. Dogs also welcome too.

Popped in ad hoc whilst in the area for a Sunday lunch, we hadn't booked but was made very welcome by the landlady in this local village pub, the atmosphere was extremely relaxed and the food was excellent, will most certainly be visiting again.

Always friendly, good food and reasonable prices.

Shocking wait for lunch. Was told half hour ended up waiting for 55 minutes. Not a 3 course meal but fish and chips and bangers and mash. Told it was because “food has to be properly cooked through”. Seriously???

We stopped off here for lunch today and thoroughly enjoyed our meals ☺️

Warm friendly place, reasonably priced, we had a meeting upstairs, it was a little cramped as the room was being used as storage, but we managed OK. There was someone doing wood fired pizza outside which seemed very popular. Would go again, no problem.

First visit went for lunch really nice. Friendly staff

Nice decor and atmosphere. However we went for a steak meal that I had won on a Facebook competition. I am afraid that the meal really didn't come up to scratch. The steak was not the best quality. It did not appear to have been tenderised. The chips were not as good as the local chippy. Sorry to say that we will not be eating there again. It is a good job it was a free meal.

Been for a Sunday dinner before was lovely...Went the other Sunday was not very good May have changed hands.

Not my type of place . Dirty wine glass . Cigarette ends all over the outside space . Looked unkempt

Visited for Sunday lunch with family. Excellent food and great value, there was a wide variety of vegetables and a generous amounts of good quality meat . The landlady was lovely and the service was great , it also felt very Covid safe following all procedures. Cannot fault it in anyway, and we hope to be back soon .

We decided to order some food here on Saturday and really enjoyed it. I had the Tuna and Cheese melt with chips and salad, my partner had the Double Breakfast and my kids both had the children's chicken nuggets with chips and peas. The food came out quickly and was hot and fresh. Really good sized portions for a good price. The sausages on the breakfast were beautiful, and the chips are the best chips ever. Even my 11 year old who is very picky when it comes to chicken nuggets ate the lot! We will definitely order food here again. Staff were friendly and helpful too.

We visited the Gleaners for the first time since lockdown for the Tapas night. We went to try and support our local mostly but the food was excellent. Varied dishes, very well cooked and presented and good portion sizes. We were very pleased to see the COVID-19 arrangements in place and that they were being enforced. Overall we felt very safe with the arrangements and the ongoing cleaning of tables between customers. The overall decor inside was bright and clean as well.

popped in on the off chance for a bite to eat and the staff couldn't have been more helpful . we will be returning !!!!

Great pub whens sticky 13 back ?

We’ve been having regular takeaway roasts during the lockdown with cheesecake for pudding and every one has been brilliant and really well organised. A godsend after cooking all week for everyone! Good sized portions. Excellent value for money. The lamb is beautiful and the huge homemade Yorkshire puddings are a hit with the children. Cheesecakes are amazing too. Highly recommended.

I would recommend the Sunday Lunch. A choice of several roast meats to choose from with a large real Yorkshire pudding and it arrives with separate dish of fresh assorted vegetables.

Had a fantastic 2 course meal for the fantastic price of £5. (Meat and Potato pie with chips and fruit crumble with custard). Excellent service with a very warm welcome

Excellent service, great food warm friendly atmosphere

This pub has been done up and is a delightful village pub. We popped in for lunch and were pleasantly surprised at how good it was. Freshly cooked, excellent ingredients and very tasty food for both of us. The prices were also excellent for pub food. Two meals cost us about £12. The landlady is fabulous - friendly and helpful. I hope this pub stays as it is as village pubs are few and far between these days with so many becoming gastro pubs! Great choice of beers too

Together with a party of friends I visited the Gleaners Inn for a Christmas meal today and was very impressed. The food was delicious, with everything piping hot and served on warm plates. Portions were generous and where-ever possible everything was homemade. It was also excellent value for money. As the landlady is relatively new I would recommend people supporting her in her efforts to make a success of this pub, it is well deserved.

Had a lovely Sunday meal, lots of fresh vegetables served by friendly staff and good value price wise. Would definitely recommend

Bad bar staff; beer was off!! no atmosphere in the place and has gone down hill since change over two weeks ago bad pub not going again!

Empty no one in . No staff.grumpy old bird behine bar. To expensive for what it is. No crisps or snaks for the children. Waste a time. Bring back mick n donna . No stars. Hade to do a star as cant go any further. Reluctant result

New owners taken over not impressed German shepherd jumping on seats and being accosted by a drunk when I'm out with a friend isn't my idea of a good night out It used to be a lovely place when Donna had it hope it's not going to go down hill

This is a real treat. It has a bar and a lounge and a restaurant area. They do food in both the bar and lounge as well. Very friendly staff and landlord and landlady. Very helpful. Reasonably priced too. Will be calling again.

A quiet place during the day when I went with a front and back room .nice freindly people behind the bar and willing to make a lovely cup of coffee too .There's a garden area at the rear and the car park is very large .The bus stops right out side .

Sunday lunch...Super large roast lamb with lots of lovely vegetables. Staff were really nice and happy to have a chat with me. Quiz night in the evening was fun a little noisy but everyone seemed to enjoy themselves. Plenty of parking

First visit to The Gleaners Inn, I would definitely recommend and return. I had a 3 course meal on the Christmas Fayre menu. All courses we're delicious, staff were helpful and friendly.

Fantastic refurb and overall feel, well worth revisiting if you haven’t been for a while, possibly one of the last traditional pubs left in the area.

Nice old pub, could be famous with an update, it's the only thing letting it down.
