Staff was lovely and very welcoming gave use plenty of time toe pick what we wanted before we ordered and food was amazing definitely would recommend to anyone and would definitely go again in the future.

£15 for this pork roast (I'd just moved the pork to my partners plate before this photo). Hardly any gravy, so was the driest roast ever. The food wasn't hot, just luke warm. The portions REALLY need to be reviewed. We've both left absolutely starving, not full up after you'd expect having a Sunday roast! Not enough bookable seating in the 'dog area' in the bar. We were told they were fully booked up but there were empty seats all around us in the bar, so I'm not sure why these weren't offered to us and were just told the really small circular table was the only one they had? Im heavily pregnant so leaning over a low tiny table to eat was going to be so uncomfortable. I heard other people mention they were unhappy with the seats they were put in. Again, there were empty seats they could have been moved to! In the end, I asked the lady behind the bar if we could move to another, unreserved, table and she let us, so our seating was sorted and then imagine our disappointment when our tiny portion of roast came out 🤣 I wish we would have left. Going out to eat in the current climate should feel like a treat, and you should leave feeling happy and full up, not having to nip to the shop on the way home for more food!

The food and service was spot on. The food came out piping hot, the steak was cooked to perfection and the salmon on the special board was delicious. Thank you we will be coming back as regulars.

Been going to the hutt with friends and family for years. Todays experience was sadly disappointing. Started with the soup which seemed very watered down lacked flavour. Not much bread with it. I had the gammon massive plate for not much food. My husband had pie which seemed all pastry The apple pie was so sloppy it wasn't very tasty at all. Not much choice from the menu like there use to be. It use to be simple pub classics but it seems it's getting a bit out there now. Sadly won't be visiting again.

Lunch at the Hutt , Saturday routine. Has smothered chicken and chips. Was fantastic. Chicken tasty and the sauce makes it really exceptional. You can have bacon, I prefer not. As usual staff polite , new Manager Jo very nice.

Sunday lunch , roast pork. Mine arrives at best, warm ish. Dads was same but he was happy to eat. A waitress did take mine and being a fresh meal. A hot one… so it can be delivered to your table hot?? Two pieces of pork… tiny bit of crackling.. watery veg… at £14.99 per head this is NOT good value for money . And others were £17 +… where do you get these prices from? Won’t return ever. Best part?? The building itself …

Lovely food but very slow service as large groups seemed to be prioritised . The special chocolate salted caramel tart was delicious but a slither at £7.99 with no ice cream / cream very expensive .

Popped in for breakfast on Sunday morning after our walk & met the new manager, Joanne. It's a lovely old building, the service was spot on & Joanne kept the coffee flowing (always a winner) the full English was lovey & piping hot. We will definitely be back the next time that we are in the area.

The staff were so nice and friendly , it was busy which made a great atmosphere, my fishcake followed by salted caramel sundea was delish !!! Would definatly recommend 😊

Lovely food would have given 5 stars but couldn't have my dessert because they were running low on cream! What restaurant runs out of cream! Brilliant otherwise would recommend just dont expect desert .

Poor service from the onset. After waiting at the door to be seated for a good while. We were asked if we would like a table in the restaurant or the bar area. Deciding on the restaurant, we were shown to a table in the entrance way right next to the toilets after the cutlery was moved from a used table to ours. The steak and ale pie pastry was like concrete. This was offered to be recooked or microwaved, not sure which, but after the wait we'd had already meant we would be eating our meals separately and didn't really have time left. The meal was removed from the bill. Busy thoroughfare through the entrance hall and to the toilets wasn't conducive of a great experience.

Really nice place, good food, gluten free options, generally pretty epic, just could be more gluten free options.

Three cask ales. Black sheep was nice. Also had a summer ale and abbot. Busy. There are two separate car parks, south one is quieter.

Had a quick lunch here today, welcome was friendly, seated straight away. Food came quickly. Thoroughly enjoyed it

I came here for a birthday dinner with family and loved everything about it! We had a reservation booked in advance, and we were quickly seen to by Anders who took our drinks order. The decor is charming without being offensive, and the atmosphere is bright, open, and inviting. Tash brought us our drinks and dutifully took our food order, whilst accommodating the small child we had in our company. There was a wide selection of varied dishes to choose from, including pub classics and gastro recipes, to quaint dishes, with an impressive selection of vegetarian and vegan options available throughout the starters, mains, and desserts. As well as an intriguing collection of sharing platters for parties. I ordered garlic mushroom served on a slice of sourdough toast for my starter, and a mushroom and ale pie for the main: both were delicious, the portion sizes perfectly suited to the price. As I am a vegetarian, I couldn't sample the meat dishes, however the rest of my party enjoyed starters of chicken strips with BBQ sauce, and calamari with tartare sauce, followed by mains of admittedly delicious-looking lamb shank pie and good 'ol sausage and mash! Without a doubt we will be coming here again!

We visited wed,4/9/24 for evening meal i booked wrong times and was 1 hr too early,despite it being pretty busy the female waitress Mia found us a table within 5 minutes,she was lovely friendly and very professional we thought she was the manager as she was very attentive and clearly has the customers interests at heart.food was really nice both had steak and ale pies which were tremendous and very filling. Mia made our experience the best ever and is a credit to the Hut

Booked for a Monday evening with my daughter to take advantage of the 1 main meal free offer. I thought the portions may be smaller due to the offer but they were really good. We had 1 lamb shank shepherds pie which my daughter really enjoyed and a very tasty mixed grill for myself. We shared a delicious chocolate bomb dessert which was really lovely. The restaurant was fairly busy with a nice atmosphere and the staff were friendly and attentive. A great meal with a really good deal. Would highly recommend!

The hut is absolutely beautiful.

The Hutt came highly recommended by some friends so we thought we’d check it out. Well worth the hour drive. The food was lush, great price, great portion sizes and tasted so good. I highly recommend the cottage pie croquettes. We were served by Karen and Mia who were lovely. Super friendly and very attentive. Gave great recommendations and looked after us really well. The venue itself is really cute and was absolutely spotless. 10/10 will definitely be back

This place is beautiful, full of character and should be a perfect place for lunch. Unfortunately food was ok nothing special. But the prices of drinks wow! £6.55 for a pint of beer. Really? Spoilt it for us and Unfortunately won't be back as there are just as good places to eat in the area and prices are cheaper!

Had an amazing 70th birthday celebration here last Sunday with family, Karen and her team ensured we had the privacy to enjoy it without encroaching on other diners etc.The food was excellent, all served at the same time which is brilliant considering the numbers, Karen and her team were very attentive, accommodating and friendly with any requests we had, which made it an excellent experience for us all Thank you

Such a lovely pub with great staff and food. A nice catch up with my cousin, we both chose from the light lunch menu. The Salmon Fishcake with Salad was delicious. Great atmosphere in there, very relaxing and it was very busy for a Wednesday lunchtime. Not surprised! Definitely going back.

We stopped by The Hutt for lunch after a visit to Clumber Park (National Trust) and couldn’t have been happier with our choice. The food was delicious, and each of us (party of 3) thoroughly enjoyed our meals. A special mention goes to our waitress, Cyan, who was exceptionally attentive and went above and beyond to ensure our visit was memorable. We’ll definitely be back!

Been to The Hutt a few times now with my partner and loved it every time; today was the first time taking our daughter with us (2.5y/o) - all the staff engaged with her and made us feel right at home! Our server was a lovely young woman named Cyan and she was fantastic, even drawing a little cartoon character on the "thank you" card after we'd paid which made our daughters day; its the small things! Parking is ample, the food is unbelievably good -pub classics done to a superbly high standard- and once again the staff are brilliant. Its our favourite place to go for food and will be for some time to come, we cant recommend it enough!

Went to the restaurant and sat outside deciding what to eat for 20 minutes, I then went to order at the bar and was told we couldn’t order because they were understaffed and we were never told this! Bear in mind 2 mins before a table of 4 just got their food who was sitting outside! Terrible!

Great little pub, went there to try the pies and was not disappointed.

We called in at 5pm on a Wednesday. We had not booked, we waited patiently at the entrance, i then went to the bar to ask about a table. Quite expectant as the restaurant was empty. We were then told no room? Bar only. We were looking at the screen which showed tables available until seven? We went elsewhere.

Went here for a bite to eat. The kids meals were awful. The kids had burgers and crispy chicken strips. Burgers were the smallest thing I’ve ever seen, the crispy chicken strips were like chicken feet. Just awful.

Came today for Sunday lunch, absolutely delicious food! That good we even had 3 puddings as we didn't know which one to order! lovely pub, friendly staff, will definitely be returning

Went for a Sunday roast and food was lovely, service was slightly slow, but it was busy. Highly recommend

Ate here because there are four 75kwh chargers in the car park. My car pulled in 74.7kw whlst we ate. Lots of people for a friday afternoon and as we still have another 3hours of driving it was a welcome stop. Despite beeing very busy food arrived very prompt and the sea bass was lovely. So much enjoyed the experience now planing on stopping next friday on the way back down south.

We went for friends 50th for lunch and it was wonderful. The food was great and was outstanding and the staff were helpful and polite. Anders took such great care of us all. Highly recommend.

Came to the Hutt for Sunday lunch. Turkey was lovely, beef was not very good however Henry was super helpful and refunded it from the bill for us along with a complementary wine. He was so friendly and lovely.

Average/Good experience - Service started well even though a prearranged certain table to be reserved was not done (for a child that struggles with mental health issues the location was better) the waitress started well but drink orders were forgotten about and empty glasses were not taken away. - The main course food was nice, good quality better than your average pub meal but the dessert was clearly a badly microwaved sticky toffee sponge so disappointing without much sauce. Overall the meal was good value for money (£140 for 6 people) but left a little disappointed.

£7.10 for a single gin and half-dash of lemonade (!) I've been coming to the Hutt on and off for over 20 years and it's a beautiful building and place. The last couple of years though the prices have rocketed. Yesterday I popped in and paid £13.70 for a beer and a single gin (with half dash of lemonade from the soda gun. There's plenty of beautiful pubs near here that dont charge anywhere near as much.

Had Sunday Lunch it was poor 2 small pieces of pork Loin a tea spoon of gravey the best part of the meal was the Yorkshire pudding vegatable was cold so overall very poor indeed afraid I won't be going back

Our first time back to The Hutt since relocating to Anglesey some years ago. This place goes from strength to strength. We were greeted at the door by Anders, who spent the next two hours ensuring that all of our needs were met, and even dealing with my sarcasm with good humour. The food was exceptional, with my wife an I unable to decide who had the more enjoyable meal. The deserts were an excellent way to finish off the evening. Chef and Brewers flagship diner, The Victoria, is but a stones throw from our new home, such a shame it cannot hold a candle to our old favourite, The Hutt.

I lovely place to be to have food and drink ,as family of 6 adults and one young child we came here for a meal each and drinks ,we all agreed that the food was very nice ,and that we would come back again to try something different on the menu next time ,they even had a specials menu also which sounded great ,ive not got any pictures unfortunately as we all enjoyed the food and finished it 😊 make sure you book a table if you are going as the pub was very busy when we arrived 👍

Lovely dinner with friends in a country-style pub. Great atmosphere with a varied menu. Was looking forward to the homemade rice pudding for dessert but sadly they sold out.

Very spacious place, food OK. Mix up with our birthday party booking. Manager was very helpful to make up for the issue, evan though it was not her making. She went above and beyond to try and make amends.

After my last 3 visits I have to change my previous 5 star review. Food quality has become terrible, overcooked starters and poor quality overcooked steak full of gristle. I used to be of the opinion that I could always get a great sirloin steak cooked to perfection here, but there is no longer any understanding of any difference between medium rare and well done. 3 visits of disappointing meals for myself and my guests and such a shame as I won't be returning to what used to be my favourite restaurant in the area. I can get better Steak in my local pub. You really need to return to your former high quality.

Me and my partner had lunch the other day and both decided on the steak sandwich which came with skin on fries rocket salad and dressing and a beef dripping gravy all of which was absolutely amazing aswell as the staff and atmosphere..everything perfect would strongly recommend the visit..my only blight and the reason everythings not 5 star was the glasses of coke zero were 4.20 each...now when you've just ate something so amazing for 10.99 an the drinks are that much it ruins the feel abit..

Usually like the Hutt, had a fair few meals there over the years, no complaints, but the last one slipped below a bit. Only simple fare ordered, a couple of Burgers and some Pasta, but the whole thing looked a bit rushed and unappetising..the Burgers arrived with some lukewarm chips on a plate with no salad garnish, and let's be honest food has to be appearing to the eye...to be fair it's usually really good. The young lady serving us was cheerful and efficient, no complaints there, a good selection of drinks, but the food was frankly a bit ordinary, my wife sent the chips back as they were just about warm, they did come back hot tbf. Don't like to be critical too much and I don't think I am, but on this occasion it wasn't up to the mark for our hard earned....

We weren't able to eat outside despite several tables being free, we were told we could only sit in the bar area. So we spent a sunny day with our 7 year old and baby inside in the bar area listening to a couple arguing and swearing at eachother lol. It took a long time to get the food and my side dish which was cauliflower cheese was literally one large piece of cauliflower. The mayonnaise was sour cream but we were so tired and hungry we couldn't really be bothered to complain. Finally the cherry on the top is that blue light discount was down so we payed full price. However the staff seemed nice and friendly so it probably wasnt their fault.

Anders was a lovely host, made sure we had all we needed and made it available if we didn't, all four of us throughly enjoyed our starters,mains and desserts..we loved the menu...we will definitely go again.
