Not really my kind of place, but somewhere my mum likes to go

this starbucks has the worst customer service, been in here multiple times and the staff are downright rude and judgemental

Drinks quality is really poor and inconsistent. Often lacking flavour or ingredients. Tables are not cleared after guests meaning you have to sit amongst the previous customers cups and plates.

In recent months I've noticed it's not 24 hours any more.... not sure when it changed however now closes at 22pm ..... I enjoy the drive thru very convenient good coffees options

How does it take 20 minutes to make 2 drinks

Both drinks spilt and leaking out of the bottom of the bag upon arrival.

Great drinks and food, service could have been a little quicker, but staff very pleasant and apologetic.

Drinks are standard Starbucks drinks; good variety but expensive. Service is slow and staff are generally not approachable or friendly, customers seem to be an inconvenience to them. No atmosphere in store.

Terrible service sat for 10 minutes after ordering with no cars moving. When I tried to get out and find out what was going on lady was very rude. In the end of drive away without our drinks

Great place. Classic Starbucks. Clean and efficient. Staff were friendly too, especially Naomi who was super helpful when I asked if they coffee grounds available but there was none immediately to hand, but she quickly sorted out a large bag for me with no fuss. Going the extra mile. Many thanks Naomi. 👍

ive been here many times and not had a problem, i waited 20 minutes for my drink, they were spilling drinks everywhere, and my drink is extremely bitter . Highly disappointed. do better!

The rudest staff I have ever met in my life. I have been many times and not once staff with smiles on their faces. I work in hospitality and in my workplace this would never be acceptable!

Ordered food in drive through to be given the wrong order by the lesser value of £15 .upset the family when we tried to return it and explain was told it was our fault and no refunds... 🥵 never use them again

Drink was forgotten about and then when asked for it they said someone had taken it. It had not been called out so I don’t believe it had been taken, it just wasn’t made. Then hazelnut syrup wasn’t added so asked for it and she was rude. Then laughing with another colleague about it. Then gave me the drink for the second time after waiting for ages and having customers before me receiving their drinks without saying anything and was rude. Won’t be returning- need to improve their customer service. Bev especially

Delivery was perfect. However due to poor sesaling of the drink almost a quarter of it was lost in the bag.

Had an Americano and a pain au chocolat Only the 2nd time I visited and the 1st time I used the app A very helpful barista and a relaxing atmosphere 😀

Waited 22 minutes for a literal cup of tea and one cold drink. Had to prompt them as they'd obviously lost the receipt or something. No apology. Bit poor really

Absolutely mortified with this delivery man’s service, how he phones me that he is out side the fence and I must come fetch my order, not even outside my door. I even gave a good gesture tip on the app to be spoken to like that. Absolutely disgusting customer service from the delivery driver.

Went to drive through was fast and efficient

Come here most weeks before work sometimes after. Some of the staff are lovely and super polite whereas there have been more times than not they’re miserable and/or rude. When using the drive through they can be that miserable I can hardly hear them through the speaker and their attitude towards customers stinks

I have been here many times for drive through service and always I get the coffee either too sweet, either to bitter. The staff is not friendly at all and they seem bored to work there. Last time when I ordered coffee the lid was not pushed properly and I spilled the drink on myself.

Used to be one of my favourite places to get coffee before work. Sadly, they have changed opening hours and now only work from 6am

Visited this site today hoping for a quick take away coffee. I was waiting over 15 mins and realised that customers who were behind me are being served first. I told the staff that I'm waiting so long just for a coffee so she asked me what I ordered. Then she realised that my coffee was already prepared but nobody was there to kindly pass it to me. She didn't even say sorry or anything. That was soooo rude. Avoid this place if you can! No respect for customers at all!

Just bloody awful , even their food smells of bloody coffee

Nothing majorly bad to say about this establishment! Visit quite frequently however every time we get food via the drive thru it’s always squashed and we have to almost put it back together. Would be nice if the staff took care in packing the food so it’s not a “build your own breakfast” Update 2024 - staff need to be more alert. Staff rarely speak to you at the drive thru and just present the card reader to you instead of any interaction, look on their faces indicates they don’t wanna be there. Not friendly

Used drive thru for first time usually always use McDonald's for a quick coffee. Thought I'd give Starbucks a go. Paid £3.45 for a medium white americano. After driving away for a mile or so was annoyed to find no milk in my coffee. Not a great first time experience. Will be sticking to mcds for better value, taste and service!

This Starbucks is killing the planet. Despite the climate CRISIS they choose to give out takeaway cups to customers drinking in the 3 HOURS before they close, because they cannot be bothered to wash up the mugs! Staff were incredibly rude and showed zero care for the environment.

Lovely coffee, friendly staff and clean environment. Great place to visit and sit in and if you're passing through an easy convenient to pop in.

Dreadful service today - absolutely pitiful - 4 cars in front of me in the drive through -took over 30 mins to be served and then she didn’t apologise or even get the order correct!!! I told them I’d leave it and drive off. Ridiculously slow and very poor customer service, which isn’t unusual here!

I used the drive through pretty regularly here and always greeted with some sub par customer service but today I was served by Liv, exceptional customer service very attentive, welcoming and my order tasted great! Kudos to you Liv an asset to the St James branch!

Staff are happy and polite. I get frustrated at the amount of time it takes to get through the drive through.

As if it's not bad enough that they charge £2.75 for some hot water with a tea bag in it, the flavour from the tea bag was absolutely non-existent, I had to ask for a second tea bag. The service by the staff on shift that day was beyond woeful; mumbling to customers, generally looking miserable and making it quite an unpleasant experience all in all. Won't be doing that again in a hurry !

Great service and they ran out of a certain thing, then said they can do something to it is sorta the same and really happy with what they reccomended. Staff were 100%. Cannot complain <3

Got served by this lovely girl called Katie, came in on my own and she made me feel very welcome. Absolute best service I have ever received at a Starbucks, will be coming again and hopefully will be greeted with the same pleasantry as today. As I am an elderly lady, I do not leave the house as much as I used to in my prime, however Katie made me feel very happy to travel there and she was very happy to have a conversation with me. Arranged to meet a friend inside here for lunch. Three members of staff on duty to serve both the drive through and inside diners. The panini was served and then I waited 15 minutes for coffees, by which time the panini was cold! I asked for a tray to take my order to the table and was told in a very offhand manner we haven't got any! This was not a one off experience. The service here is always slow, the place isn't very clean and it's definitely not a place to go for a relaxing brunch!

This morning I been first customer at 6:00am in drive through. I ordered 1 reg americano and 2 mochas. Americano was very not nice, like from old filter and like brown water with no coffee taste. Impossible to drink. And also mochas not like usual…. Customer service rude with no manners. No good morning, no thank-you…. Not happy at all. Thank you .

Lovely place to enjoy a delicious coffee and a cheeky Brownie. There is a relaxing atmosphere and the staff are friendly & helpful.

Service was a bit slow. The ladies that attended me had "I don't care" attitude. Prices in Starbucks are really high and not very tasty. I prefer a Costa.

I don't usually give negative reviews but felt the need to. Please avoid, staff have bad attitudes.

Food was cold, coffee was cold. Took 1 and a half hours precisely to deliver a coffee.

The order was delivered squashed, there was less than than half of the drink left! I'm owed at least £50 from Just Eat from previous orders that weren't delivered. I've hear nothing!!! This is an order for my daughter who is in a hospital in northampton, this needs to be resolved asap!!!

Unreal service, more staff then customers and they still kept us waiting over 10 mins for our Panini after asking about the where a-bouts of them we had a staff member roll her eyes at us and pass a panini to another customer who had no been waiting as long as us. Staff are miserable they’re all kids who looked like that didn’t want to be there. Not a great experience at all!!!

Quick service and nice coffee. Comfy seating and felt cosy.

A bit hit and miss if you ordering ahead, if you know if you order is ready. Clean and tidy but lacking any real atmosphere.

I drink at a lot of Starbucks around the country however this branch is by far the best and I've been coming here since it opened. Staff are always helpful and friendly- any delays are addressed and the drinks are always made spot on (the only store I've found who make their PSLs perfect every time!). I've never caught her name but one of the management staff (with the short black hair) always goes out of her way to make you feel valued as a customer, recommends great complimentary food items, and her general customer service skills are exceptional. I know people may complain about the cups left around on tables, but this is a busy store in the area and having sat in the store for hours upon hours, staff do bus tables when they get a free moment. It also comes down to common courtesy and respect of customers to not leave the place a state. Can't fault this store one bit, thank you so much!

Terrible experience. I stood at the unattended till waiting to order while being ignored by the staff who were stood chatting. The staff member who eventually took my order could not have been less interested. No communication skills and an entitled, arrogant attitude. I was told that only takeaway cups were being offered despite other customers sat around with crockery mugs! Numerous tables were strewn with dirty mugs, cups food debris. There was food debri all over the floor. There was no effort to clean up in the 30 mins I was in the branch. There appeared to be no management oversight, no direction and zero effort in getting the basics right. Overall dirty, sloppy, poor customer service and staff who really dont want to be there. Go somewhere else.

Dirty place, terrible service, forgot what we ordered, waited 40min, kept saying one person is making, when our order forgot to place. After the argument we got our coffees.

I asked for frappuccino but i got a hot drink

Drinks were not bagged correctly resulting in leakage. There was a missing drink and no straws provided. Delivery was late. The driver was unable to find the house and called asking to be given directions by following his location on the map rather than follow Google maps himself. Very disappointed with the service from Starbucks and JustEat driver.

This Starbucks I have been coming here for years on and off, it’s always busy but they are fast service good coffee which is all you need

I Came in today with my children and found the staff were helpful and friendly. With a great choice of food and drink options.

Can't ever seem to get an order right here. I've just paid £6.25 for an oat dirty chai latte and i did question that, as its never that much but the guy said he was new. Anyway after standing and watching everyone after me get served their order the server realising i still had no order asked what i wanted and said the ticket got lost. And now having left they've mixed chai tea with coffee and added oat milk. Not what I normally get, tastes awful. Cheers

Quick smooth and can pay cash...used drive thru

The drive-thru experience is quick and efficient especially in the mornings before work, they move pretty quickly. I always enjoy the hot oats with honey as well.

I have been to so many Starbucks in various countries… the worst ever experience to visit is this Starbucks, Infact I visit 4 times & more in a week , the staff seems so uninterested to work, poor customer service, long wait to get the ordered drink on the contrary the staff unapologetically deals with their customers, there is no enthu for their work at all

Driver had spilt half hot chocolate in the bag so everything was soggy and dripping out of bag

I don't normally go coffee shops but went in to get a cold brew because the poster looks so enticing?! Was stood around quite a long time to get served, when I eventually did it was a very short exchange of very few words out of obligation rather than any desire to deliver any form of customer service. The drink looked NOTHING like the pictures and a bit of a let down. Think I'll stick to making my coffee at home 😂
