Stopped in for a drink before a work function. Clean, reasonably priced and everyone was really friendly.

Run out of lager as manager has been off for a month, no one else can place an order, vodka seemed to be watered down. Will be a while before we go back. Used to be a great bar, not anymore. I’ve now been in here a few times. Staff are great, I was told about only manager could do beer order from the staff. If someone else could do orders why didn’t they??? No you didn’t have all the beers as you say because I asked for a certain beer/larger didn’t have it. The staff on duty at time of visit told me about the manager being off sick!!! So you really need to check before you have a go at customers. At the end of the day, we as customers are at their heart of your business just remember that before you have a go at us 😡

3 staff on, empty bar, yet no one could be bothered to serve us because they were too busy chatting.

Very friendly and nice atmosphere restaurant, I had a very tast starter and calzone for main, calzone was enormous.and my wife's salmon spaghetti she thought was very tasty on two down sides were my wife was cold and was forced to wear her jacket, and I found my calzone quite bland all calzone's I have had in the past have had an element of spice, I. Sure this was just my selection though as they had more than five choices, I would recommend this restaurant as overall was a tasty enjoyable and good value for money evening.

I absolutely love this place. The owner is lovely and makes you feel really welcome. Food is beautiful, reasonable prices and the portions are huge

nice venue, female staff are great. Not sure the men know what they are doing at all. The food is disappointing. With the Cheapest burger being £10 and the pattie being the size of a small meatball, it's really not worth the money they charge.

Had our wedding reception here small family event about 20 of us, fantastic food was fabulous hot and cold buffet, credit to the chef it was perfect. All the food served together layer out lovely. Staff fantastic, polite and nothing was too much trouble. The manager Matthew was fabulous and accommodated all that we asked for and more. I would highly recommend this for venues and food alike so we glad we came here for our wedding reception, we and family had a fabulous time thank you so much Matthew and team. From Sue and Terry

Completely ruined it in my opinion. Food is slow and often cold. And place is over run with Eastern Europeans who do nothing but shout and yell at each other, they've no respect for others in the venue, seems another place they've overtaken in Northampton town centre.

Beware when you’re drinking in here. We ordered baileys and they gave us 25ml measures; we challenged that they should be 50ml; the guy then said he’d double us up and wouldn’t charge us extra. 50ml is the standard size of a baileys, this place will rip you off if you let them.

It's a bar in the town centre it's going to struggle with the local wildlife

Ignore previous reviews - this restaurant/pub in the heart of Northampton had only been open a week under this management.My friend and I went in for lunch and they could not have been more accommodating !They fixed us a lunch just as we wanted. Drinks were splendid and staff so friendly.I certainly will be going back again and in such a handy location !

Ordered our food was told they there was a 15min wait after a hour had passed we asked what had happened when our food came it was cold complained and got a refund will not be going back there again!!

Have visited here a few times. It is at the quiet end of town on Abington Street. That works to its advantage and disadvantage. It means big crowds do not flood the place so you can chat - sit - relax and enjoy. The down side it can be a little too quiet and lack atmosphere.It is clean. Well presented and friendly enough staff. It is nice. Check out the heals on food.

Good food and decent choice of beer! Close to the Irchester Country Park.

Visited the pub for a work leaving do. There was approximately 15 people and all meals had been pre-ordered as we only had a certain time there. We arrived and sat in an area all sectioned off. Service was very poor. Food came at out in dribs and drabs. One person waited up to 40 minutes their meal had clearly been forgotten. I had a panini which to be honest was basically a baguette (warmed) with folded ham and melted cheese. It clearly hadn’t been placed in panini toaster as it was a baguette! Expressed our concerns to the manager afterwards and there was no interest in our feedback whatsoever. It’s a real pity as this is an opportunity where people will come back and unfortunately it’s a fail for the Wedgwood. Well I for one will not be visiting in the future.

Food was cold chicken dry toilets not great would not go back

Amazing atmosphere and comfortable surroundings. Very relaxed feeling whether it’s for one after work or a couple before a night out. Wide range of draughts on offer and excellent service.

Bit disappointed this time. Got there on a Sunday afternoon at 3pm place my food order then seconds after we heard the chef shouting "no more food order please". Luckily the bartender convinced him to cook one last time for us. That was good, however the serving was disappointing. First, the dish was not looking nice at all, then no cutlery at the table, then no tissues. I'll add a pic from last year which was really great. This is NOT what you will receive now. No salat, no coleslaw, no other sauces.

A well designed pub with a decent atmosphere but the prices are unmatchable around Northampton which is why the pub gets such a high score. Food is also nice with plenty to choose from.

We came in for a pre show meal and waited 40 minutes before asking when food would be ready. Wasn't worth the wait. The panini was two slices of toast with processed chicken cubes and cold chips ! No cutlery or sauces were offered and we didn't have time to stop to complain. Sent an email mail and surprisingly there was no reply. Don't eat here !!!

Worked here for 2 month they have refused to pay me my second lot of wages! Chris tearne the "boss" refused to deal with acas but I will never give up demanding my money!!!

Review edited: last few times we've been in there has been NO beer available on tap at all ! Pool table and cues broken and several light bulbs continuously flickering ....... what's happened ? Not impressed ! Always nice during the weekday evening for a good selection of drinks and a few games of pool.

Had a refund and left as we had no food by 50mins. Poor service with no explanation from manager. Staff dressed like students so could not tell who worked there apart from when they stood behind the bar!! Shame the wedgewood wasn't run like it was in the mid 90s when it was the place to go. Avoid now.

Visited The Wedgwood today and had a thoroughly enjoyable meal experience. A sharing Nachos with bbq chicken and two different burgers. A real step up in food quality from the Wetherspoons/Yates’s style restaurants. The burgers were just delicious - 100% beef on very tasty rolls with appropriate garnishes and dips. And the nachos were out of this world. The venue is fascinating - walls adorned by street-art style murals themed around Alice (of Wonderland fame) and an upstairs smoking terrace. There’s a great pool table on the first floor too. Toilets are nicely fitted out and clean. The seating is interesting and comfortable and the gentleman who served at the bar and took my food order couldn’t have been more helpful. We ended up staying for 3.5 hours as the environment was so relaxing and the pool table was not in use by anyone else!

Do not ever have a party here it's shocking service The manager cris took 4 months to respond to my partner after paying a deposit he then ruined all her birthday she set the hole thing up he only put out champagne glasses. Didn't deliver none of food she paid for he ripped her off 850 she paid for sandwiches scones and cream 1 fruit small platter. Didn't give her anything she paid for. Then also stole her birthday cake I could go on for ever don't know how this guy still has his job we gonna take legal action against him pls this guy is a bad apple don't fall for his charm pls do not have a function at wedgewood thank.

We had our staff Christmas Party here, the food was amazing - and the service was out of this world from start to finish.

I had a drink and catch up, there was no table service and short staffed.

Sadly, lack of stock to make any cocktails. No chef to make food when we ordered. No desperado only one bottle left. Disappointed but the barman was a nice guy.

OK but nothing more. Great food offer on 2 for 1 burgers which worked out cheaper than a single glass of wine!

Visited on a Saturday afternoon with friends. Sticky tables, slow service and stale bread. Save yourself the bother and go elsewhere.

A very relaxed enjoyable visit, can only be described at a gentlemen's club atmosphere, with excellent attentive staff. Both food & drinks very keenly priced. If it's Fast Food you want go to McDonald's, if it's fresh good food, come here! Highly recommended for a relaxing chat & drink with friends in a welcoming atmosphere.😁

Went for a roast today was a good price and lovely food. The only negative was the price of the sides with the roast, £3 each which is almost half the price of the actual dinner! Apart from that really good. Also a lovely barman very chatty and friendly.

The burger was cooked to perfection. Seasoned to perfection and the chips were crisp to perfection. Food was a 11/10 and the prices are so reasonable! It cost me £17 for mine and my Fiancé’s mains and drinks. With such high quality food for such low prices, cannot go wrong!

Yes as improved since becoming back to the Wedgewood I go in to it most days great atmosphere and well worth a visit

Went for wine. First choice was out of stock. Second one the staff couldn’t uncork the bottle. While one of them was trying to lever it out with a knife l had the chance to study the glasses they had got ready. They were filthy. I left.

Very nice setup though the Menu isn't great and found the staff aren't very responsive to solving problems.

Only problem is the menu is not up to scratch & they need total rethink ASAP

We rang ahead of time to see if they had vegan food, they said they had a whole vegan menu. We got there, they didn't have a vegan menu and were extremely ambiguous as to what vegan food they did have

Lovely place to sit but service isn't great. waiter needs a lot of prompting. Also veggie breakfast way more expensive than the non veg version although includes the same as the non veg version.
