Had a lovely light meal (sandwiches and wine) - excellent value in an interesting and pleasant environment. We particularly appreciated our server, Johnny, who was very efficient - but more importantly, made us laugh and ensured that it a really good experience for us.

Always great food whenever we go, great service by Johnny today. It's nice in the lunch hour period as it's quite quiet.

Bit quiet in here but always live sitting in the garden. Friendly staff and good menu when you want to eat.

The food was amazing and the drinks were incredible the atmosphere was very relaxing and I enjoyed my visit would go again

Came in for a Sunday evening pint with a mate, had the best steak I’ve had in a while! Johnny provided fantastic service throughout and really took care of our food. Good selection of alcohol - something for everyone! Central location in town makes it a great pitstop on the way back from work.

I can’t recommend this place enough! The staff are amazing and more importantly they really look after guests. I’ve recently had to use the “ask for Angela” service after a very bad date.Ask for Angela is a fantastic way to help people experiencing worrying dates. If you feel in danger, ask staff to “call angela” The bar staff were spot on and made sure I was safe and got me a cab and home safe. Denise is a brilliant manager that really cares for her guests safety.

I have visited this establishment on several occasions and have always found the staff friendly, inviting, and helpful, especially Denise.

Myself and my daughter visited the old Bank Saturday 10.8.24 for some lunch, met with bearded barman, who had an outstanding personality, also very officiant new his job really went out of his way to look after us, really liked him, enjoyed our stay, will definitely return.x

Big place. Can feel dead in the late afternoon. Possibly better atmospheric over the weekend. Decent steak and ale pie.

Very odd day to visit Northampton, actually thought it was half day closing!! But nope just the result of bored youth and miss information. However the welcome and the service was top notch and the food was excellent. Would def recommend this pub if you are visiting Northampton. Went in for some grub, left with a smile! Fish and Chips are FANTASTIC! Added some curry sauce to my dinner and had to stick around for some desert too! ! Tried a cocktail called a Bumbu Storm and I HAD to treat myself to another! Highly recommend for some grub and a tipple!!!!!!!!!!

Went for a night out and then came for lunch the next day the way that the pub changes in just a night is insane. I appreciate all bartenders and give them the respect that they give me. The old bank is the way to go whether its for food or a night out i highly recommend old bank. The food is spectacular I was not expecting such fantastic food. Thank you to the amazing staff who never fail to give a perfect serve.

Could do with a lift to go up stairs so when you have a wedding party there you can get a wheelchair up there

Drove all the way from Birmingham to meet friends and the bar neglected to tell us food stopped at 7. Mid week what kind of place stops serving food at 7. Sadly, a quick mention of this would've helped given wed travelled over an hour for food. Not thrilled at all

The Old Bank Northampton is a pub that really meets expectations, this review is about all the staff and how well i think they are in my opinion as i notice that they are all very close with each other, there are new staff that i did not recognise but they are so lovely and still get on with the regular staff. Johnny is a funny lad to talk to he always brings a smile on customers faces, there is one woman that i do not know the name of but she is a really lovely woman, she also likes to joke around with customers i believe i heard another bar staff call her Beckie, Emma is one of the quiet bar staff but she still is a lovely woman to talk to, I believe one of the new staffs name is Callum, he is a little like Johnny he is funny to talk to and he seems to care about the customers when serving them, Maisey (i think her name is) is a lovely girl who is sweet to everyone, Chloe is a lovely girl and she helped another customer out along with Callum when they were asked if they know where any other clubs are. If you want a good night out with great customer service then The Old Bank Northampton is 100% the place to go, the food is great, the staff are great, and the pub is very clean, i have noticed that the staff make sure that tables are wiped after every use.

I ordered their steak rare with a red wine gravy. I was heavily disappointed when the steak arrived chopped into little pieces, and was burnt and over cooked. The “red wine gravy” was just bisto and the tomatoes were raw. No grill whatsoever. My boyfriend enjoyed his katsu burger and Japanese chicken so that’s good. But definitely wouldn’t recommend the steak. Atmosphere was cosy and service was good though so that’s my only fault.

We came for the theatre to see sister act, the bar staff were very attentive and lovely, We bought our drinks and ordered our food, the staff were very helpful when we told them we had an allergy, they got the correct menus and an allergy tablet so we could look for ourselves :) The food came nice and quick, portions were good and the food was piping hot, it left us enough time to have a dessert too! We will definitely be returning!

It used to be a great place. People told me it wasn't, I just wanted to play darts. After tonight, with Mark who supposedly runs it, trust me, go somewhere else. As the landlord will be after what he did to me. And if you want to know the rest, email me or ask anyone in Kingsley park.it has lost so many customers since the change over, and its loosing more. And I will deter anyone I speak to from going there now. Even aftethe £££sss I spent in there. And i will post bad reviews weekly

The old bank is a great place to hangout with people staff are fantastic, its a great place to go on a night out and all together i just love going to the old bank northampton. The vegan nuggies are mwah fantastic.

Ash trays not emptied from the night before, had a steak sandwich had to lift the salad to find the steak. Wasn’t expecting to find a cow in there but was expecting enough to fill the bread..

Just been into The Old Bank for the first time in ages. Food was lovely and the service was excellent!! The person who served us described himself as the “blonde gay guy”. He was fantastic! Really helpful and friendly. Will definitely return.

It’s a nice pub. It has pool table which I loved. However, there’s not many drinks and it is expensive.

Nice bar but unprepared for the crowd that arrived on a knock out rugby weekend. Long, long waits for bar service and many of the staff were not familiar with drinks available, when is a glass of rosé a glass of prosecco? We'd waited so long to be served we just accepted it. Ran out of lots of food and drink options, table beside us ordered the Sunday roast and got served very dark and dry looking steaks! Toilet corridor stank really badly.

Definitely one of the best places in town. Especially the events hosted by Sequel in the garden area are magical. Amazing and unique music and atmosphere. Keep up the good work and hope to see more events like this happening soon.

The Return Of House event on Sunday was so good! The atmosphere was amazing!! All the DJs amashed it and we had such a great time!!

I recently visited again the Old Bank in Northampton, and it was truly exceptional. The food was outstanding, offering a diverse menu with exquisite flavors. Went here on a very busy saturday. They had great djs, the staff where lovely and good deals on shots and they currently have happy hour on at the moment and it’s great £4 for a peroni bargain!!!!!!!!!!😁😁

Had the Scampi with Fries and it came out lovely and cooked well, the bar staff was lovely and polite especially the girl with black hair she made sure my lunch there amazing and i felt very welcomed, will definitely be back and definitely recommend to anyone else thinking about going!!!!!😁😁

Ordering food from the bar was a painful experience. The server told me I wouldn't not have fries if I didn't accept sweet potato fries with my burger (although menu states otherwise) then asked if I would like onion rings and I said yes as it is on the for said burger, this incurred another charge I didn't want (I had stated so before paying). Had to ask for a receipt to confirm my order then found I was charged for more items than I had ordered. This had clearly annoyed my server and they had relayed this to the kitchen as the food I received was of poor quality and smaller portions. The food came out quickly, under cooked and with no offer of condiments/salt and pepper. Was supposed to be a payday treat for a cheeky late lunch after work but now I'm just disappointed!

We came for lunch before our theatre show and the staff were very helpful, we told them about our time limit and they were more than accommodating, the food was delicious and it came out quickly, will definitely be back!

Me and my family came here for a late night get together. The atmosphere was 10/10, not only lovely staff but the crowd was amazing too, seems to be so many nice people in old bank. The next day we all decided to come here the next day for food to cure a banging hangover, the burgers are a good and it’s a way to cure a bad hangover.

Abhorrent prices on bottled drinks, can see I’m not the only one complaining, they talk about being ‘competitive’ on prices which is an outright lie, I can go down the road to Wetherspoons (Cordwainer) and get 3 bottles for £6 with you 3 bottles would cost me almost £16! give me a break your definition of being competitive is so out of the realms of reality, avoid at all costs.

Not very inclusive to LGBT+ community, all the drinks that LGBT people drink cost more then pints, like previous reviewer has said now almost £6 for a VK and no offers on drinks that LGBT people drink, clearly homophobic and only give offers to straight people, clear discrimination and bigotry

I went to another pub, saw a guy I didn't want to see, turned around, had a burger and beer in Old Bank, so glad I did, friendly staf, good food, reasonable prices too, look forward to beer and burger deals!

Weekends and music is good in the evenings but they increase the prices of the drinks (in secret) I know this because when I used to visit the old bank pre covid some of the bottles of drinks (VK's etc) was 2 for £6 now they are charging £5.30 for 1 bottle, surpise surpise the 2 for £6 doesn't exist anymore in the old bank even though the Greene King website clearly states this is still the case and the offer is valid across Greene King pubs nationwide in the UK, plus upon checking in the weekday they charge £4 for the same single bottle, head office should be informed about your littlle weekend scamming scheme you got going on, you're a pub in Northampton, you aren't in London so don't try to justify charging London drink prices in a town like Northampton.

A few friends and I had our Christmas meal with the old bank and it was lovely. The food was delicious and they had set up the table with decorations crackers and Santa hats. Really was a great experience! Johnny and Emma did really well...

It is always my first choice to go to pub in town. Unfortunately it's getting me very disappointed all the time. The bar staff will never offer to repeat what I order and caused me get the wrong order and duplicate order. This is very not professional. This happens more than 2 times, I don't know who's the problem, I never have this problem when visiting to other restaurants or pub. Also, went to here on last Friday afternoon, we was told that waiting time for food to serve is 45 minutes but it wasnt full house, fish and chips was running out on 1pm. Garden peas was running out. I have no idea why the kitchen never do more preparation on food especially on this festive period. The gents and ladies at the basement are very stink, even I haven't walk down to the staircase.
