I’m not saying this just because of the chance of winning the vouchers but honestly we had such a lovely stay at Merlin. The food was absolutely great, couldn’t fault it. If I could attach the print screen of mine and my partners conversation the next day we text each other to say the food was amazing. The staff were lovely and friendly. We were undecided where to sit and they had so much patience with us. We ordered the drinks via the app which took some time but we understood because it was NYE. They apologised straight away. So the following drinks we just went to the bar instead. Honestly it was the best cooked food I had tasted in a while! (Fussy Eater)! Will definitely come again the next time we are in Derby.

Every item on the breakfast includes eggs, which i cannot eat. When asked if I could replace the eggs with an alternative,I was told I could have extra beans. When asked for a bacon replacement I was told that they couldn't do that. Weird how they can do it with beans but not bacon. Made to feel like a cheap punter, and even got a mouthful off the sever behind the bar about policy.

Arranged to meet friends over from Norway and booked table for 9 including 3 children. Ordered food at the bar as too difficult to do online for that number. Food arrived quickly and was normal good standard. Slight annoyance was not having Festive menu on our tables so assumed no longer available. Not rushed to vacate table which was nice.

Just been for breakfast prior to a big night out tonight, this set both of us for the day. We found the place clean and tidy with the staff very helpful and polite. We had the smallest of breakfasts on offer and added toast to both and black pudding to one. It was hot, well presented and above all good value.

Just revisited The Merlin, prior to our New Year celebrations for breakfast. We found the place clean and tidy with the staff very helpful and polite. We ordered 2 of the smallest breakfasts and added toast on both and black pudding on one, this with orange juice x2 and coffee x2 and this came to below £15. Food was cooked to our liking, they even did one with well done bacon for us.

Amazing as always, food is great, Jess is always attentive and kind. Will be returning x

Slightly disappointed with a visit recently. Party of 12….1 dish burnt, one dish missing 2 ingredients of cheese and bacon and one dish on a hot skillet was stone cold. Offer of a free drink appreciated but not the point in a party of 12. Food a bit underwhelming

Good quick service, tasty food, but what makes the merlin excellent, is the pleasant attitude of the servers. Such as a young lady called Jess always with a smile and if you need anything she goes above and beyond to help. Thankyou so much.

Got a cake for my 1 year old, only for them to bring it to the wrong table and every one was laughing, the staff has well, no one apologise and had to ask for a supervisor to tell them, only the supervisor apologise and not the woman at fault, so when we was ready for are cake, they bring the cake out only with the happy brithday and for get to put the one candle on the cake, and that same thing, no apologises for that mess up

When for Xmas meal food was very good I had parwn cocktails it was a bit basic but did not skimp on the parwns I had the steak cook well but could have a bit more Seasoning for my liking Festival crumble was nice plenty of custard. Service was good. April looked after very well one or two hiccup that was Rectified quickly in all a very good experience will be back 😀

Always made to feel welcome and enjoy the company. Staff are friendly and accommodating. Been coming here for at least 17 year's and never had a problem. Thank you for your service.

I come in the merlin every friday for a coffee and a full english, always served with a smile and the breakfast is always great! Sophie has my coffee waiting for me as soon as i get there, cant get any better service!

My car was in for a service at Lexus so popped over for some breakfast and coffee. Served by April (name not month). Great service, awesome breakfast and refillable coffee. Will do this again.

We were a party of 6 on Thursday I think we were the first of your Christmas Parties! ( booked in the name of Barbara) Our waitress was Brooke a lovely bubbly girl very helpful, didn't rush us at all. The food was lovely and the desserts were amazing. Arrived early, which wasn't a problem. Staff were very friendly and quickly showed us to our table. Sunday lunch and a drink offer for £10 was ordered by everyone. You have to place your order at the bar. It wasn't long before the meals arrived and offered good value for money. The place is large and seemed geared towards families although parking seemed limited.

Came in for breakfast, was lovely and quiet (no loud annoying music! 😂) We were greeted really warmly by April, who continued to take great care of us throughout. Breakfasts arrived promptly and were lovely, really recommend the cooked breakfast and the waffles, both fab! Didn't even realise they did breakfast before doing the usual Google search but we'll deffo be coming back

Always a great atmosphere on match days and Amanda in particular is an absolute credit, what an absolute legend she is!

Food was terrible. .my steak was so tough the fork bounced off. Portions very small. Complained but nothing was done about it. Value for money it isn't. Even the larger taste funny.

Enjoyed a nice meal here. It is a Hungry Horse so you know what you’re getting. Good value, large portions and reasonable deals. Posh nosh maybe not but decent. Staff were friendly.

Visited today with the family, we had a Family meal for 4 as it is on offer,couldn’t believe it £15 for two adult meals and 2 kids meals and drinks.Meals were of good quality and portions generous. Service was very good and attentive. This place is a gem in the middle of a business park

Took my daughter for her birthday, and the atmosphere was really nice and calm. Staff were very polite and helpful. My daughter suffers from anxiety when eating out. I requested a seat in a quiet area, and they did as we asked. Really enjoyed our meal and food was hot. Thankyou
