Very disappointed with afternoon tea. Sandwiches very bland, egg mayo, cheese and pickle and salmon. Scones looked lovely but so dry I was unable to swallow it without a drink. Jam served in a jar and the tea was cold. Lovely tea room though and staff were nice. Just a shame about the tea,

Well we headed here as it was dog friendly. This place excepts dogs but not dog friendly! The lady was friendly when we walked in.we sat looking to see what we were going to eat. It is small inside so difficult if you want to avoid people. As we sat a child wasn't happy as couldn't have ice cream. There was a child being noisy, flinging thereselves around. We sta the other end. The woman working told us sit in the bk corner or dogs under the table. Yes I understand dogs being in the way but the wasn't. Quite dogs, noisy kids! We moved to cafe woody. Great food x

Called in on a Saturday for a quick bite before heading on to Gourock. My wife had pie, chips and beans. The pie was very ordinary and the chips had burnt ends. My Sweet Chilli wrap was nothing special - the chicken felt like it was pre-digested and the sweet Chilli sauce insipid.

Un pub tradicional excelentemente dirigido. Excelentes asados de domingo y fantástica selección de ginebras y cervezas. Muy buen servicio de un equipo feliz y motivado. Este es un lugar ideal para familias para almuerzos de domingo.

This review only relates to the bar in this establishment. We were actually looking for somewhere to have lunch, but unfortunately food was not available. There were few other customers but we did stay and have some drinks. There does not appear to be any recent reviews, but we felt that the lack of atmosphere in the bar during our visit and comparatively dark decor would not encourage us to return.

My friend and I called in today. It was a cold, wet bleak day and we just wanted to get away from the weather and have something to eat. The young lady who greeted us was polite and friendly. We ordered two vegetarian breakfasts and drinks. The food arrived very promptly, was piping hot and very tasty. Nothing was too much trouble. Shout out to Kate and Andy for amazing service. Just before posting a review I checked out other reviews, we had a totally different experience than some of the reviews, trust me we are fussy! Only didnt give 5 because it was a little chilly . BUT We will be back.

This is a great place for a coffee or something to eat when waiting for a train or shopping in the area. I meet friends here once a month and have never been disappointed. The full vegetarian breakfast is excellent. Don’t go to Costa, come here instead!

Le breakfast était parfait et la gérante était très gentille et bienveillante. Un très bon moment. Je conseille cet endroit si vous devez vous arrêter dans cette belle petite ville

Nice Sunday lunch,pleasant staff,good location, good atmosphere, small carpark,good for wheelchairs, children friendly.

Visited twice during my recent visit to the area - both times were excellent. Cake portions are huge, pot of tea with at least 3 or 4 cups worth in - really good value. Second visit I had the small breakfast which was perfect, someone had the fruit scone cream tea which looked delicious & was excellent value for under £5. Kids afternoon tea looked fabulous and well worth a go. Loved that theres a little library in there as well. Plenty of parking, easy to find. We'll definitely be back!

Our order came out incorrect with things missing, that arrived 5 minutes after. Someone came in threatening to burn the place down…..rather than apologising they then stood and gossiped about it. So unprofessional. Won’t be returning.

Cafe is ok, food and drinks are ok too, but young women who work here need to get it together. We came in a few days ago, it was very quiet and no one was waiting. So imagine our surprise when the three staff just continued chatting and ignored us !! You think that’s bad ? After they eventually took our coffee order, they had the cheek to ask for a tip !!! Unbelievable! ( and don’t say you don’t ask, you push the pay screen at people and say ‘ there’s a question ‘, you look down and it’s asking for a tip, so yeah, you definitely do ) Want a tip ? Then don’t leave customers standing around whilst you s(@g off the boss !!!!

Amazing food, wonderful service, great atmosphere, a real wonderful experience. 5 tapas dishes for £30 and the portions are huge! Will definitely return and recommend a visit to anyone.

Coffee is great shame about the people serving it. Slow paced, rude, uninterested and unfriendly staff. Go to Starbucks to get better service.
