Coffee is great shame about the people serving it. Slow paced, rude, uninterested and unfriendly staff. Go to Starbucks to get better service.

My son is a keen cyclist and coffee drinker and visits Rapha every time he is in London. So during my August visit to London my wife and I were under strict orders to make a visit, which we did. Went inside and felt a bit over dressed as all the cyclist were in Lycra.... Nick who was serving that day, had a joke with us which actually made for a nice experience. So coffees ordered and I must say as a coffee lover myself the coffee was excellent. Great atmosphere, good staff, great service with a joke albeit at my expense. To prove to my son we went there we bought him a Rapha water bottle to add to his vast collection. Thanks Nick for making our visit memorable in more ways than one....... I enjoyed our banter.

Always come here on my infrequent trips to London as it gives me a chance for a free coffee on my RCC membership! Also nice to check out the latest merchandise and get touchy feely which is clearly not possible on the website. Location is cool too down a few back streets behind Piccadilly Circus amongst the clothes shops, hipster barbers and cafes. Cakes always look fab too...very tempting! Not much stock available and not much seating but that’s what makes this place even cooler.

Great little place with good produce and coffee is great!! However don’t think about nipping in there for your morning coffee on your way to work unless you have 15-20mins to wait, and that’s without a queue! Very unorganised and slow. Sort this out and get things running slick and you’ve probably got one of the best coffee shops in a highly competitive area, as it is it’s just not worth the wait - sadly.

Rapha needs to speed up their service as it is way too slow! I ordered a coffee and small tart, the coffee took nearly twenty minutes! How would they cope if they had an influx of customers all in one go? Six pounds is too steep for a coffee and a cake, The coffee is very good, the tart was too small for the price! They need to be more like the bars on the continent, three minutes maximum time to do a coffee!

I had a latte which was lovely and my partner a chai tea. She really enjoyed. We also had the blood orange cake and banana cake. The banana cake was really nice. Blood orange was a touch dry. I think it had probably been there for most of the afternoon - can't complain too much though, we ate it all. The Barrister team were super nice and helpful - lovely guys.

So, I had never dared try Rapha Cycle Club until a Sunday afternoon when my favorite little coffee spot was closed, and I was desperate... it turns out, I have been missing out! Rapha is a fab cycling destination, undoubtedly, but it is also a lovely coffee spot in it's own right. So, if this place were in Brooklyn, NY it would be a total hipster scene, but I actually found it quite pleasant and the staff exceptionally nice. I got the Batch Brew (drip coffee) for 2.60 pounds (not too bad for London) and it was quite good. A lot of places focus on the espresso based drinks, but I prefer a good drip or pour over coffee and this place delivered. I knocked off one star because the staff didn't seem to know much about the varietals or origins of the beans. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a good cup of coffee in the Piccadilly/Soho area. They also have a light food selection, but I did not partake.

I have been to Rapha a few times now for their coffee, one of the best in the area. However, the food is extremely overpriced at £6+ for a basic sandwich when so many excellent food venues are located nearby During my last trip there was a large group of cyclists who smelt so bad it was impossible to eat or drink, I had to transfer my coffee into a takeaway cup and leave! This is not the first time the cafe space has been filled with the smell of sweaty cyclists. Whilst I appreciate this store sells cycling gear I think cafe staff should be aware of the non-cycling customers who want to enjoy a coffee without the pungent aroma of sweaty cyclists clogging their sinuses!

It's worth visiting as a cyclist, with memorabilia and bikes everywhere, and of course Rapha's expensive cycling clothing. the shop is excellently laid out, and professionally put together with an eye for detail as would be expected of this label. The coffee was good, expensive? Well everything is in London. Worth visiting if you are interested in cycling, but if not then don't bother - London is awash with all kinds of coffee shops, and somewhere else will suit you better.

Soulless and overpriced. A metaphor for declining Soho. Soho used to have a real edge and an underlying sense of community. This is unfortunately disappearing. Cycling enthusiasts used to go to watch cycling in the Italian coffee bars along with expat Italians and Continental tourists. Great coffee and wonderful mix of language. Now you have a trendy, overpriced venue such as Rapha, which is just a nouveau hipsters paradise. I suppose it's pricey to pay the over inflated rents these days. Progress sometimes isn't.

The food here is generally good and has a hipsteresque twist to it. Coffee too is ok. The surrounding is great as it is housed in the Rapha cycle shop.Only complaint is that when it is busy the device falters. Needs to be better managed in my view.

Have a few minutes to spare and fancy a nice coffee? This place takes you out of the hustle and bustle of the London day and provides a great place to relax with a coffee and a snack or cake. You don't have to be a cyclists to appreciate the calm, but you'll love it if you are.

Everything is plainly of very good quality, and cycling reading material as well as cycling TV is available, and of course the chance to look at (surely not buy) all the wonderful clothing. Seating is a little hard and the cake range is limited, coffee and atmosphere is great though.

We stopped by to look at the stylish bikewear and took the time to have a coffee and pain aux chocolate. No complaints, it was a refreshing snack. Also tried some stuff on but can't bring myself to spend the cash

I have become a regular at Rapha´s since I started working nearby 2 months ago.I was introduced to them by a work colleague after I asked where could I get a "nice" coffee. I was a bit sceptical at first due to Rapha´s being a mix of a bicycle store and a café... but once inside, the attention to detail that the guys at Rapha´s have with their coffee was well worth the try. They weight their coffee to the exact meassure each time and this translates into a great consistency in every visit. The Cappuccino´s at Rapha´s are one of the best I have ever had, the coffee is smooth, the foam is spot on and the temperature is very nice (something that is sometimes overlooked). The best way of describing it is "velvety".So if you are around Regent St/Piccadilly Circus/Soho and fancy a lovely coffee in a relaxed atmosphear, Rapha´s is the place.

I love this place, and it is still going strong. Very good coffee and cakes, and cycling races on the TVs. I always park my bike in the shop and am a regular customer and only downside I see is the temptation to buy too much cycling gear....

Nice food and the coffee is great, but like other reviewers, I found the service a little too slow. Otherwise, a good place for a lunch or mid morning snack and coffee.

We finally got to this place on a trip to London for opera at the ENO. The flat white coffee was perfection itself - great roast, perfect temperature and great finish. I did not notice that they were especially slow, but who cares anyway - perfection is worth the wait as far as I am concerned!

Was really disappointing, thought it lacked atmosphere and was over priced. They actually ran out of Breakfast Tea... It's a cafe for goodness sake! And to top it off I didn't think much to the Women's clothing range on display either.

This is a great cafe. Been several times. Coffee done superbly, even weighed the amount with mini scales before service. Try the chocolate and raspberry brownie. But,service incredibly slow. Almost pedestrian. Come on Rapha!

Turned up to watch the final climb of one of the Dauphine Libere mountain stages, only to find they don't serve during the final 10km of live racing. This is a joke if (1) it is a mountain top finish (2) there are 2-3 races on Eurosport that day, as is often the case. When I complained, the guy behind the counter said I obviously wasn't a cycling fan. The girl also acknowledged that they were recording it anyway, and would play it back on loop throughout the day, so why did the customer have to suffer just so the staff could have some time off! Most of the staff didn't even watch the cycling anywayI like the cafe, but the staff and brand are uber-pretentious!
