If I could give this place zero stars, I would. The service we received was utterly shocking. The assistant rudely marched my party and I off a free table - despite it being empty. We asked for a takeaway, and we were told the wait wouldn’t be worth it - this was from a member of staff?! They clearly don’t care about making any money, and their products are sub-par. You’re better off heading to Pret to avoid their horrendous service.

I have been twice sitting outside at Said. First time I had ice cream, it was very nice and intense flavour, second time I ordered medium dark chocolate and it was just ok.. I was actually expecting more for £5. I waited for too long for that cup of chocolate (they were not busy) and the staff were not friendly.

Considering I paid almost 8 quid for a cappuccino, an espresso and a mint tea I was expexting the quality to be top notch. Far from it! The espresso was quite bland and the capp extremely watery. Could have had the same at McDonalds for a third of the cost. Shame cause the place is actually quite homey and welcoming. Will not return.

During a lockdown walk, I sought out this spot for a coffee and brownie. Both were served promptly with friendly chat and I am sure the server was smilingly behind his mask! Outside, I tried the coffee, it was as good as ever. The brownie tasted fresh, soft and was yummy. A fab spot!

The Said in Broadwick is tiny ... I don't think the main picture is a true representation of this branch. I was a little disappointed when I arrived. I expected the decor to be rustic but it was a little tired! We were seated immediately which was great as we had made a booking. The lentil soup was really tasty - more of a broth than a soup.As expected the hot chocolate was amazing but the chocolate cake was very disappointing... it seemed to be from the fridge, the cake itself was not soft - definitely not what we were expecting. The crepe on the other hand, was absolutely divine... The worst thing though was the service ... we had our food and then waited about 30-40 mins for the coffee and desserts. Three other groups came in, were served and left. We were not even offered an apology or a discount.If you are hoping to go home with some chocolate, there is a good selection, but it is very pricey! Although the menu items are reasonably priced.

SAID has the best thick hot chocolate that I have been longing for sice the close down Apostrophe in 2013.I truly love the Hazelnut Hot Chocolate with Tricolor Chocolate toppings. Drinking this gooey indulgence amidst the chilly December is a very soothing experience. The Staff Members working at SAID are very friendly and attentive to all customers, making every visit to satisfy my sweet tooth here very delightful. I am looking forward to trying their Gelato with Tricolor Chocolate toppings, as well as SAID's bakeries and Italian dishes, soon.

This is my second time here and it's just as fantastic. This place has rustic wood fires which add an inviting ambience that can sometimes be missing from a London cafe (that are usually frozen cold). We didn't make a reservation, but the waiter very kindly accommodated us and was patient and laid-back. The chocolate itself is truly the best I have experienced and I am quite a connoisseur, I highly recommend the dripping hot chocolate with the 3 varieties on the side, you won't be disappointed!

Omg, the hot chocolate was completely amazing, I had the regular and this was more than enough. My daughter had the chocolate cake which was very rich and massive, my daughter said it would be better if it was warmed (definitely one to share). My husband had a lovely carrot cake and I went for the Crepe which was Devine. I’m a huge chocolate fan and would highly recommend this cute little cafe. In these current tines as a family we felt very safe. It was not crowded and looked very clean. The staff member was very friendly and wore a mask and kept his distance.

Said has easily passed as one of my favorite cafes in London. It has a perfect atmosphere and it’s hot chocolate is as divine as can be.

Fui a este lugar con mi esposa y un amigo que vino a visitarnos. Nos sirvieron para comprar a un tipo de pelo naranja. Fue horrible. El tipo era grosero y muy inculto. Mientras estuvimos allí, vimos a 3 clientes salir del lugar debido a la mala educación de este tipo y porque no fueron atendidos en un tiempo razonable. Teníamos un pastel duro como una piedra. Todo muy caro para un servicio verdaderamente horrible. Nunca más. Con suerte, el virus C 19 cerrará este lugar

Tuve el chocolate caliente giandula cubierto con las 3 diferentes salsas de chocolate. Decadente y rico y vale la pena. El tamaño normal fue suficiente para mí. También tuve la tarta de queso de chocolate blanco que no era demasiado chocolate.Si eres un amante del chocolate caliente y las tortas de chocolate, te recomiendo este lugar.

Necesitábamos un pastel de cumpleaños para el día siguiente y el chef de repostería Daniele acordó hacer algo especial para nosotros. Al día siguiente, llegamos y Oriana sacó un pastel increíblemente hermoso que inmediatamente llevamos a un almuerzo de cumpleaños. El pastel era rico en chocolate negro, como lo había pedido la cumpleañera, y estaba acompañado de tres tipos de salsa de chocolate y crema batida fresca. Fue una obra maestra y todos nuestros invitados disfrutaron, y nos sorprendió haber tenido tanta suerte de encontrar este lugar para hacer un pastel tan especial. Fue una muy buena relación calidad-precio para un pastel tan especial. Lugar encantador y postres increíbles.

I can't recommend this cafe highly enough. Service friendly, helpful and fun. The coffee with triple chocolate was an amazing taste experience that I didn't want to end. Had a chocolate custard croissant to go with. Heaven. Will find excuses to keep returning. Thanks said.

This place is honestly my fave spot in the whole of London. The managers and bakers are passionate, kind and super friendly. The food – no words (10/10 amazing).

I had a nice chocolatey break at Said café, a Roma shop. Ylenia from Italy selected the Dolce Ricco Cake for me and I ordered the Dark and white Chocolate melted shot. The slice of cake was deliciously bitter and the melted shot was great. Ylenia was awesome. SEE photos.

A cosy place where everything is gorgeous and delicious beyond your expectations: from the rich, creamy, dark hot chocolate to the millefeuille with Chantilly cream and berries - the best I have ever had - just to mention a couple. The cheese cake is very good, and you will definetly fall in love with their chocolate cake. And it is hard to find real chocolate in London! What else can I say? Just go, and a very nice, kind waiting staff will welcome you!

We were looking for a place to enjoy a dessert and stumbled across this place. We saw a queue outside and decided to put our name on the waiting list. 20 minutes later were taken into this cramped area, where every time someone pulls the chair out you are bumped into. Anyway cake, coffee nothing special. We ordered one soft drink and the waitress brought two, we requested to take one away. The final bill was on a tablet, with no itemised breakdown. When we asked for a breakdown, suddenly the lady tapped on the tablet and the final bill total was reduced. Something cagey there! Service was poor, had to keep waving to get the waiters attention.Don't Bother Nothing Special to stand out in the cold for!

Popped in here on a whim for an afternoon treat. Had to wait half an hour but it was worth it. Amazingly indulgent chocolate cake, hot chocolate and donut (drizzled with 3 types of melted chocolate!). Cute, cosy cafe

Visited here on a Monday in half term for my daughters 15th birthday. Six of us and they accommodated with a table for four and two. Kids had waffles and strawberries. Both amazing , we had hot chocolates. Rich but delicious. Found the service to be good and quick and the staff were very nice. Really recommend.

Terminamos nuestros pasteles y chocolates y este camarero nos preguntó si íbamos a pedir algo más, de lo contrario tuvimos que abandonar el lugar porque había más gente esperando. No contento con eso, cuando salíamos del lugar nos dijo "vai a fanculo". Que tipo de profesional. . . También mientras hacíamos cola, se metió en dos amigos de él que ni siquiera estaban en la cola.

Really average food and hot chocolate. I’ve tasted better in London. The tables are squashed next to each other as if we’re in a train journey. Wouldn’t do it again

Went here recently with some friends, and the hot chocolate certainly lives up to its reputation as one of the best in London! However, the service isn't great - some of the staff were quite rude, while others were friendly. They don't tell you how to order, don't give you menus etc - you pretty much need to work it all out yourself. Overall, great hot chocolate but the service is pretty disappointing to say the least.

Atrocious service - don’t bother queuing for a cramped table. Chocolate looks good and it’s busy from the outside but badly understaffed, we waited for 10minutes and were forgotten about so ended up leaving.

If you are a chocolate lover then “said” is for you. Probably the best hot chocolate I ever had. We had 2 hot chocolates -hazelnut and dark. Both were amazing.

My girlfriend and I went there twice during our visit to London. Most of all due to the wonderful chocolate, but the service is strange, to put it mildly.

Queued to get in, understandable, it’s London after all! Didn’t have to wait too long so were quite happy with that. Tried to order the milk hot chocolate, but they’d run out of milk chocolate. Ordered hazelnut hot chocolate, mocha, carrot cake and salted caramel cake and some tap water. The hot choc came out first, 5 minutes went by and we were still waiting for the rest. Saw the mochas and salted caramel come out (we’d asked if the salted caramel was a cake and told yes. It was not, it was a tart) and they were left on the side for more than five minutes before being brought over. Coffee was cold. Still no carrot cake. After another 5 minutes we asked for the carrot cake which had been forgotten. Finally came over after another 5 minutes. Never received the tap water. Tried to get the staffs attention over and over again and were ignored. Although all the food and drinks were truly delicious, the service was beyond terrible. Wouldn’t return.

Queue was not controlled so anyone could enter the cafe. Staff was terrible, they missed orders, they got a milk alergen wrong twice, generally they were very poor. Chocolate was tasty but thats all.

There was a sign on the door stating to wait to be seated. We waited for approximately 15 minutes with no acknowledgement from any staff member. Half the store emptied and still no acknowledgement. My partner and I continued inside only to be told to wait outside. No please or thank you. The store was less than half full at this point. After a further 5 minutes of waiting outside in the freezing cold, a staff member came out and told us to pick a table. One of the tables had a dirty mop next to it. After being seated for another 5 minutes, no member of staff came to take our order so we went to order at the counter. No interaction from any staff member only when we paid. Only reason why this place isn’t marked as terrible is due to the incredible chocolate, however it did not make up for the terrible service received. MASSIVE ROOM FOR IMPROVEMENT.

Help very friendly but takes 30 minutes and three efforts to produce a cup of tea. Not recommended at all or maybe only for coffee.

The quality is good but the shop is small. There is also only three employees working. Finally the toilets are not looked after. In conclusion really good quality little things need to be worked on. The hot chocolate is amazing. Love it and i would recommend

I visited the Soho outlet. The staff was very nice and polite.

What a poor service! We were waiting for the hot chocolate for 35 minutes and although we had ordered some chocolate cups we were informed 35 minutes later that they were run of them. Let's put aside everything,though, mentioning something really surprising and annoying. They don't know how to speak English! And I'm saying that because when I asked for the bill, I started talking to the waiter, saying about the poor service. He impolitely stopped me saying "no English". This is inconceivable. Firstly, how is it possible to work in a customer-based role without speaking some basic English? And secondly, even if you don't understand what I'm saying, just put some effort on that, suggesting to speak to a manager or something. That's a joke.

We went after work to have some chocolate with some friends. We heard great things about the place, and to be fairly honest, the hot drinks and food did not dissapointed us.

The service was ok. Staff friendly. It is a tight space but quite cozy. The hot chocolate is amazing in taste and variety of selection. The hot chocolate is a lush experience perfect for this cold weather top up with a triple shot of chocolate.

We arranged a group of 4 people to visit the place. I came first and I asked for a table for 4 people. The host allowed me in and when a table opened he told me where are your friends? I told him they are coming in 10 minutes why? He said I have to give your table to other people who are waiting at the queue!!!! I was shocked, I asked what is this kind of ridiculous policy and the guy told me he can’t do anything and he opened the door showing the way out of the shop. A silly little shop that tries to make as much money as possible and in a way that offends the customers. If you want to be treated as a wallet in a cheap way then that’s the place for you

This is totally worth it and the highlight of my recent trip to London. There’s a lot of over hyped rubbish but this treasure deserves all the hype it gets.

I came with a friend for a dessert. The service was horrible and the desserts average. It's too experience for what they give you.

It was a really nice discovery to see that Said was open quite late on a Sunday evening so were able to call in for a hot chocolate. Excellent hot chocolate and desserts. Very busy and it took ages to get a "take-away" as you couldn't ask the staff behind the bar to just make the drinks you had to speak to a waitress which seems an inefficient system. Worth the wait though.

The place is really nice inside and the staff is cheerful and welcoming. Their chocolate is absolutely a must try and their cake is just fantastic! If you’re looking for something sweet, this is definitely the right place!

We arrived on a cold Sunday afternoon and the queue (outside) to be seated was fairly long.

The place is good for those who love chocolate as they serve almost everything with good quality triple chocolates. Their presentation is attractive and that’s the reason it has become famous. The place is small and has very few tables so it’s better to book a table in advance if u are going on weekends. The service was not great as they were late to take orders n bring food. Overall worth a visit.

As well as Dark Sugars, Said Dal is another good place in Central London for chocolate.

Heard this place was fantastic so decided to try for after dinner dessert. We ordered the waffles that come with three types of chocolate sauce. Not bad, but nothing special. Quite expensive too- 8:50 for 1 waffle. Not worth the hype. Service was also poor and not the cleanest tables. But if you love overly chocolate-y things you might like this more than me!

The chocolate covered strawberries were really good. We ordered a dish that came with 9 strawberries and had 2 milk chocolate, 2 dark chocolate and 2 white chocolate. We really enjoyed it although the strawberries were really small and the dish was £9 - slightly overpriced. We also ordered the chocolate fondant cake which was amazing and I would recommend getting that! The restaurant is cute and small so be prepared to wait if you go during busy hour!

Piccola cioccolateria molto caratteristica. Tutto di ottima qualità prodotto nel loro laboratorio. Personale molto gentile che ci ha offerto anche fragole ricoperte con cioccolato milk, dark e gianduia. Abbiamo preso un buon tea, un ottimo caffè, una ciambella ed un bignè buonissimo ripieno di delicata crema pasticciera ricoperto con tre cioccolati fusi. Tappa obbligatoria!

It took me 13 years to find a good hot chocolate place in London, and I have finally found it - Said it s amazing, make sure you get the hot chocolate with the dripping chocolate around the cup, you won’t regret it - pure heaven !

I discovered SAID (founded in Rome in 1923) last time I was in London so I visited the Broadwick street branch near soho to sample yet again a little slice of Italian choc heaven and was rewarded with a sleugh of warm chocolate ganache ! And a feast for sore chocolaty eyes ..... the staff produce the desserts and coffees and got chocolates in pure theatre and I spent my time people watching on Broadwick street and looking at all the chocolate moulds - amazing ! I bought round me at the counter all sorts of SAID chocolate bars and treats mmmmmm!!!! Ps if you are chocolate fan walk on a little further in soho to Paul Young’s chocolate shop - enjoy!

Absent minded staff(we waited forever to be approached on a quiet day). Really bad cappuccinos and over priced and not very nice chocolates. Give this cafe a miss with so many really good cafes in the area!

Very friendly waiters. Delicious 3 layer chocolate cake with warm chocolate sauce - one slice is big enough to share! The coffees with cups coated with hot chocolate sauce were popular .

We stopped in for a quick dessert one evening.. or so we intended. Waited at the counter for about 10 minutes before anyone took our order and after ordering, waited over 20 minutes to get what my husband ordered.. another 15 minutes and had to go ask for my order that we had already paid for. Quite a while later, they told me they didn’t have what I ordered, and asked if I would like something else. I changed my order and after over an hour, we were able to finish our desserts and leave.

Umm I would say this is not my place. The desserts and chocolate is just toooo much that you can’t even finish one bite. Very small place

This shop looks AMAZING and the queues outside may have you think it is. But i’m sorry to say the chocolate in here is not good. It is the same type of chocolate you’d find inside m&ms; (weird aftertaste), and even the dark is overly sweet. Hot chocolate and baked goods are the same. Also find their service to be not great (classic italian), and very disorganised. The shop looks super from the window, but I’d say don’t go further than window shopping.

If you are in the mood for a quick and fast dessert this is a good option. I wish they had more ice cream options but overall good selection of pastries

3 personas manejaban el lugar. Era como una pocilga de cerdo. Mesas sucias y todo. Primero Margarita se nos acerca y nos pregunta si necesitamos la factura. Dijimos que tenemos que hacer nuestro pedido. Ella ignoró y se alejó. Atendió a todas las otras mesas excepto la nuestra Cuando la llamaron, dijo que había un problema con las órdenes. Continuó tomando otras órdenes. Salimos y ella estaba bien con eso.

I stumbled upon this shop/cafe specializing in crafted chocolates and some italian pastries. The chocolate bar I purchased was delicious. It is a small shop but worth a visit.

It was a little early for such a rich hot chocolate drink, but it was our only time to go. We got the medium hot chocolate triple dipped cup. Literally melted chocolate in a cup. So amazing and fun.

I had a nice afternoon break at Said Café. The interior is very artistic which has an entire wall decorated with “metal chocolate moulds”. It was a full house on that day. I had dark hot chocolate shot (Small cup) with Salted caramel tart. The chocolate was thick and creamy. The tart was a great size for one person, but it was slightly sweet.

Faccio colazione al bar da vent’anni e non ho mai mangiato una brioche cosí buona. Veramente deliziosa, sia per la consistenza che per la farcitura, messa al momento. Se non fosse che vivo molto distante ci tornerei assai volentieri.

Buonissima la cioccolata calda e squisite le torte! E carinissimo il locale, coni tanti utensili da cioccolateria che lo arredano con gusto e calore. E poi il simpatico il titolare, un egiziano che è stato a lungo nella fabbrica di cioccolato di Roma, per poi trasferirsi a gestire la Said londinese.

Found this cafe/chocolatier by chance whilst wandering around Soho. I had heard of it from a friend. Their coffee cups are dipped in melted dark, milk and white chocolate and when you drink the coffee with all this melted chocolate...its just heaven! Together with a cake or pastry..Nothing could be better! Enjoyed it immensely!

We had THE WORST DINNER SERVICE IN MY LIFE at Sea Containers. We basically got ignored all night. But SAID made our night much better. Awesome desserts! Awesome drinks. AWESOME CUSTOMER SERVICE! The turned out night around!

Dropped in here while wandering around Soho and Carnaby Street. Coffee was really nice ( cappuccino ) and lots of chocolate and cake to choose from. No sign of some of the poor service comments on here - we were very well served and very friendly. Would say £3 for a cappuccino in central London was very reasonable and nice to have it in an authentic Italian cafe.

A quick stop here is mandatory! A super delight chocolate drink and a crispy croissant is a perfect match. I went for plain croissant since the cocholate drink is so nice on flavour.

We are going to Said regulary and we always enjoy our visits. Maybe a bit more organising will help rotating tables faster and people having to wait less outside but overall a very sweet experience. Chocolate is amazing, coffee is very flavours and the staff even if they do not speak english 100% they do try their best to make us feel good so a huge well done :)
