Se lo planteé al barman pero todo lo que podía decir era que el pollo estaba cocinado anoche insinuando que todo debería estar bien así que lo dejé marcharse. No estaba feliz pagando por el pollo así que al salir me acerqué a él en el bar y tuve que preguntarle si me acreditarían por el pollo que apenas había comido y con el que no estaba feliz. Dijo que lo reembolsaría y le expliqué cuidadosamente que las papas fritas y los aros de cebolla estaban bien, así que no esperaba un reembolso completo. Para un buen servicio no debería haber tenido que pedir el reembolso, sino que me lo ofrecieron automáticamente y aunque toqué mi tarjeta en mi máquina sin ver la cantidad que aún tengo que ver esto en mi estado de cuenta. Espero más viajes de trabajo a esta área y por desgracia parece que tendré que ir a otro lugar.

We were staying at The Brookmill after a charity walk. On arriving the was some confusion between the staff about checking us in. We were asked if we wanted to buy a drink whilst we waited. The rooms were clean and comfy with tea and coffee facilities. Due ti it being located above a pub it was noisy in the evening a through the night due to the main road. It was expensive for room only in comparison to the hotel we’d stayed at the previous night …sadly for that reason we wouldn’t stay again 😔

I sometimes like a late evening drink with a friend and it's annoying when a pub closes early at ten, presumably because they have few customers - and in contradiction of advertised opening hours on their website. It's a risky strategy, perhaps the first sign of closing down altogether.

Attended a private evening birthday party in the function room- it was such a pretty venue and the staff were really friendly and helpful. We stayed the night and the room was spotlessly clean, nicely decorated and had everything we needed- especially a good nights sleep! Highly recommend.

Congratulations to all who work at the Brookmill. our large family party (24) were greeted with smiles and made to feel very welcome. Service was excellent, nothing was too much trouble including providing special dietary requests. (Gluten free, and plant based burgers.) We all enjoyed our various meals + drinks. and will definitely recommend and visit again. I would particularly commend the easily 'accessible' toilet, which is the 1st I have come across with plenty of room for a wheelchair or baby pushchair, grab bars, and an emergency bell pull.

Spent a sunny Sunday afternoon in the Brookmill on 12th June. Reaaalllly good food my partner opted for ‘pale’ food as he thinks anything red is going to be spicy!?! He just missed the last portion of mac and cheese so opted for cauliflower cheese and soup of the day, cream of celeriac! I went for the Halloumi with sweet chilli sauce, mushroom arancini in tomato sauce and a side salad. I tossed that halloumi into the salad and absolutely devoured it, the mushroom arancini were perfect and having sampled the cauliflower cheese himself ordered I was a teeny bit jealous I wasn’t having that too! He said he didn’t know what celeriac was but said the cream of celeriac soup was 10/10 We’ve never had a bad meal there, highly recommend and the beer garden is brilliant this time of year! 🪴🍃🌿🌻

Crammed in with our seats literally touching the tables behind us. Roasts took over an hour to arrive with no apology on the delay. Asked for the ‘discretionary’ 12.5% to be removed and the cheeky waitress added it on to the unsuspecting last bill payer! Food was good but won’t be returning.

Outstanding food. We were here today 19/03 for Sunday lunch as a group of 10. Fantastic friendly staff great atmosphere and layout sat upstairs. As for the Sunday Roast it was tremendous, I don’t often praise Sunday Roast but this was in my opinion the best I’ve had and everybody else also agreed. Full of amazing taste and flavours plus a good portion size. We don’t live in London but I will my friends who do that this is a must for Sunday lunch. Thank to the entire staff. Our son and his wife had their wedding celebration here last Saturday and it was fantastic. The food was top quality and ALL the staff went that extra yard to make it a perfect day. We had booked a table for 10 of us for a Christmas party. Shout out to Paul who was so helpful the entire time when it came to planning everything (even though I made so many mistakes when trying to organise) everything ran very smoothly! The service was fab, very attentive on such a busy night. Everyone agreed that the food was fantastic , absolutely delicious. Thank you so much for providing such a great night!

My first visit was for sunny afternoon pints and a small plate of padron peppers (brilliant portion for the price) so having family visiting from Cambridge one Sunday afternoon we decided to go back for a roast. We had 2x veggie roasts and 1x fish n chips and it was all delicious, special mention for the individual gravy boats brimming with delicious hot gravy, the yorkie could have been hotter but once full of gravy it was just fine! Portions were big, service was prompt and friendly and the beers were delicious. The Brookmill has a lovely decor and atmosphere and I really ought to visit more often, really looking forward to doing so when the weather returns!

My wife stayed overnight recently. The members of staff are very welcoming and very attentive indeed. Our room was very nicely done and the decor of new with rustic wood features (echoed throughout the whole premises) works really well. Our room was spotlessly clean and well equipped with a very nice shower room, big bottle of water, tea coffee and some nice touches of muffins and instant porridge in pots. Heated towel rail in the shower room and big fluffy towels. A large wall mounted TV and a good bed with quality mattress and pillows made the £110 price tag quite acceptable. However there was only four tiny plastic sleeves of milk which was barely enough to make two hot drinks as the milk sachets are tiny with very watery milk. We decided to dine in the bar area which has tables in front of the bar and several other tables in the adjoining restaurant style area near to the kitchen. The meal we had was very nicely cooked and the pudding was quite large with lots of custard on demand. We could not fault the food. However we made the mistake of not asking for a wine list and only asked for two large glasses. The attentive waiter suggested a bottle as it is cheaper than two glasses. A run of the mill sharaz was nice but nothing special. However it was changed on our bill as £34 which is not what we were expecting to be less than the cost of two large glasses of a mediocre Sharaz. Then an unexpected service charge was also on our bill of £9.36 which we considered to be quite unreasonable and should have been clearly declared on the menu. To sum up our experience “ A very nice establishment marred by not enough milk to make more than one hot drink in our room (despite a request for some more) Unreasonably priced bottle of wine and a hidden service charge which rather inflated the bill. Sadly we will not return again.
