The best restaurants serving Mediterranean food in South East

Recently my husband and I met friends who booked a table at The Lighthouse for Sunday lunch. The restaurant is a part of Barry Yacht Club and is located near to Jackson Bay (wonderful quiet beach). We arrived 45 minutes early, so we sat outside in the beer garden and enjoyed some quality time together admiring the seaview. Our table was ready at the allocated time and we moved inside. The restaurant was immaculate with tasteful decor. There was a great family friendly atmosphere and the restaurant was very busy. Our orders were taken by a friendly, professional member of staff. For the mains myself and my husband both ordered the lamb, my friend selected the vegetarian wellington and her husband had beef. The food was nicely presented and was served with a tremendous variety of vegetables including baby carrots, broccoli, mashed vegetables, peas, green beans and leek. The roast potatoes were absolutely delicious and I was cheeky enough to ask for an extra one. The Yorkshire pudding was perfect and the meal was nicely finished with a fantastic homemade gravy. The quality of the meat really stood out, it was beautifully cooked, nicely flavoured, perfectly carved and tasted fantastic. Once we finished the main course washed down with a bottle of wine we browsed the dessert menu. Ample time was left in between courses and I ordered the cheesecake, my husband had ice-cream and our friends both had chocolate fudge cake. The desserts were the perfect size and tasted exquisite. Throughout our meal we received excellent customer service and our meals were very good value for money. We really can't wait to visit again especially as there was a fantastic menu covering all.meals including breakfast, lunch and evening meals. There were also a childrens menu available.

This cafe tucked away in West Molesey, boasts the best freshly cooked most reasonably priced breakfast I’ve eaten in the area. Clean and simple and friendly, helpful staff, always ready for a chat. I took my 84 year old mother for egg and chips which she loved as they were not greasy and she is a very fussy lady. I always go wth my husband for a treat. Its the best kept secret in town! Easy to park near by in a car, accessible by bus 411. A bit of a walk from the Walton Road, but worth working up an appetite for on any walk in this area offering the Thames Path and the River Mole and it’s surroundings. Looking forward to my next breakfast there soon!

I ordered the pork souvlaki wrap and the meatball souvlaki wrap, and I give it a 3.9. The main issue being that the wraps were dry and could have done with more taziki. Meatballs were juicy, and pork was good but not the best I’ve had. Bread was good and chips were good. Wouldn’t be my first choice of Greek restaurant.

A fantastic time. We had a family meeting for 20 people. Everything was organized efficiently. The waitresses were very helpful and smiling. Food great. Lots of flavor. Huge portions. I recommend it for celebrations in a larger group.

Charlotte was prompt and friendly. Food was tasty. Service was good Staff were very helpful and polite. We had a meal deal as this was Wednesday, to be fair they have a good deal most day's except Sundays. All good 👍. I will return.

As big fans of Spanish food we were left feeling amazed by just how good it was! The croquetas are the best we’ve had! All of the dishes were full of flavour and fresh! Staff were friendly, helpful and went those little extra steps to provide a great service. Simple things like helping my wife down small steps with our pram…go a long way these days. The only reason I couldn’t 5 star the atmosphere was simply as we had lunch and it had just opened. But we plan to return for an evening to see it again! I don’t feel you’d be disappointed with the prices either. Lovely little place to eat.

Rare 5* from me but we had a blast ! Absolute meat grill perfection , good starters , drinks and all the rest ! Proper Turkish this ! Love it !

I went for lunch with my daughter who is four years old. We had the most delicious lunch and she really enjoyed the children's chicken shish. The fresh bread with the hummus was really good as well. Great service and we will definitely be returning with the rest of the family.

Food is not that bad but 3 pieces of Waraa 3enab (Grape Leaves) for £6??? Ridiculous and the menu doesn’t specify how many pieces to expect.

Ordered today via deliveroo great food, complimentary flapjack and extra sausages and a nice message thank you will definitely be ordering from here again

Murat was our server and the service was immaculate couldn’t ask for anything better was always making sure we’re happy with our food and drinks kept flowing. Give him a pay rise as soon as possible
