Salinas 2 in South Oxfordshire

Me and my friend Karen popped in today for a cuppa and just loved it. So much so that we went back in for the second time, a couple of hours later. We were served by 2 lovely sisters, who were so nice and chatty. The atmosphere was that of a friendly, and relaxing place to be. We promised we will be back for some food next time. We highly recommend this cafe.

Undrinkable cappuccino. Bitter nasty metallic taste. Please check your coffee and machine.Wanted to try an independant coffee shop but not again after this experience.

Both baguettes are very stale and did not come with salad like it says on the app.

Popped in for a morning coffee, Michael and Vendula were so welcoming and the coffee was divine! Will definitely be coming back again soon xx

The baguette was nasty. The sausages was undercooked the bread was stale.

Won't be buying from this place again. Firstly the delivery guy just rang the door bell and left the food on the ground. Didn't bother to wait a minute. By the time my wife open the door, the guy already drove off. My wife got a wrap which was wet and didn't taste fresh. You don't put wet salad in a wrap I ordered a banana milk shake, it came 3/4 filled. My lamb shawarma was really hard, wasn't sure if there was a bone or if it was over cooked. Only English breakfast was the only decent dish that tasted alright. Definitely should've ordered food from elsewhere.

Order arrived after an hour after it originally said. My baguette was burn. We ordered a cheese and ham baguette and a ham salad one was provided. The coronation chicken didn't really have much taste. Very disappointed after waiting so long for it. Delivery time changed twice.

Love this place in person so we were excited to see it on just eat but wow first impressions are not good. Ordered two chicken schwarma platters - one was an incorrect platter entirely, and both were missing the bread it was meant to come with. Tried contacting them to see if this could be replaced but no response so we’ve requested a refund through just eat instead. Sorely disappointed.

Warm and sincere welcome, great food and friendly, bustling atmosphere. I especially appreciate that, when I pop in for an espresso, the cup is always heated, which means the coffee is perfect. (Yes, everywhere should do that. No, most places get it wrong, especially at busy times. Our first visit was for the tasty Lebanese breakfast. My go-to for a quick daytime treat is an espresso with a small plate of baklawa pastries to share. Highly recommended!

There's nowhere quite like Salinas, in large part due to Michael, whose welcome is just about the warmest you could hope for, but while the personalities here are wonderful, the food is arguably even better. You might not expect to find Lebanese mezzeh served in this unassuming café on Didcot Broadway, but served it is, adding a welcome extra dimension to the town for many years. Mezzehs is by no means the only thing on the menu, Salinas is a safe and comfortable place for many and varied customers and happily caters to their tastes, whether you want simply a baked potato, panini, hot chocolate or half a dozen small plates filled with beautifully presented Lebanese delights, Michael and co. will be only too happy to help.

Had a great lunch today. Tried Salinas chicken and jacket potato and was best meal I have had for ages. Also very friendly staff and good price. Will definitely recommend.

Aggressive service and overpriced food. You could get the same amount of Lebanese food in central London for like half the price.

This place is a hidden gem in Didcot ☺️ I love to take my friends here for the coffee. If you ask nicely, they'll make you a Lebanese coffee with ginger in it. Pairs perfectly with their baklava. It's always really clean and relaxed. I can't wait for my next visit ☺️

Good selection on the menu, my first time here so I tried the "exotic mezze". Great to share between two people, getting a taste of 7 Lebanese dishes - lamb, chicken, hummus, falafel, vine leaves, salad and bread. Delicious. Great coffees. The baklava looked good too!

What can I say about salinas? Other than it’s amazing service and amazing food, I’ve never seen a business care for their customers so individually! The blonde haired woman who works there appears to go all the way to make everyone happy, and as a new customer we really appreciated that for not only ourselves but those in the cafe. They food was amazing! I’ve had Lebanese food a few times and I honestly can’t stress how authentic and well presented their food appears! Salinas must be a Jewell in disguise and all I wish it to get is more and more business! Would highly recommend to friends, family and more. If you want to do some work, have a chat, meet new people, have a lovely coffee. Ticks all the boxes. Thank you for the experience! Would definitely come again! X

Lovely food great portion sizes shame the lamb was a bit fatty but still tasty thank you for the food

We ordered the "Exotic Mixed Mezzeh" for sharing. It was only £12 to be fair but the portions and selection were quite poor. I'd only really ate a few bits and pieces when I realised all we had left was a few bits of iceburg lettuce. Even at £12, it wasn't a fair price to pay. Quality wasn't bad but had far better at other Lebanese restaurants. Staff were nice.

Popped in for a coffee with a friend - the staff were very friendly and attentive. The coffee was really good - hot, not over-roasted, and the milk to espresso ratio was perfect. The menu has a broad selection of food, especially Lebanese food.

Bought a burger that Salinas have started doing. They are a very good size and tastes absolutely fantastic. Definitely recommend to anyone who loves a burger

It was my birthday so decided to get a take away from there to celebrate. The poor lady working there was alone and looking bored. She was polite, courteous and prepared all the food alone. It was well cooked and presented. My daughter loved hers and it is ridiculously cheap! Well worth a visit

Good staff but the cheese cake was no taste to it and the milkshakes was banana 🍌 really?? No taste to it just taste like fluffy milk

Food and drinks here were good. However, I found a small piece of bacon in my vegetarian breakfast, luckily I’m not the strictest vegetarian so this didn’t bother me too much, but I still thought I should inform the cook, who was very rude to me and told me it was impossible, basically saying I was lying. Would have happily gone back there to eat again but the fact the cook was so rude means I will no longer go back there.

Not quite the lebanese feel...This is a coffee shop serving hot food and plenty of tables..the lebanese food are 2/3 items and are served with mayonaise, not traditional but very english

Fantastic food and a very friendly environment. We always eat here when we are in Didcot. Much better than anything in the orchard center and well worth the little walk.

SALINAS 2 is a friendly lovely cafè with good food and very kind helpful staff.

My friend and I went for lunch. Nothing was too much trouble. We had a warm welcome and the menu was bought to the table. My friend had a Baguette and I had a lovely cheese salad sandwich plus tea for two. We will definitely be returning

Having lived in Didcot for over 14 years, I had never visited Salinas so thought it was well overdue. We were welcomed on entry and the man who served us was very friendly. As it was earlier in the day, we decided to have lunch and tried the jacket potatoes. The jacket potatoes with cheese and beans was lovely and, the side of chips were probably the best chips in Didcot. Will be returning here soon as I'd like to try their coffee.

Always a great friendly place that serves good coffee. I like to just get my paper and sit in there reading it over a large latte.

We have dined here twice now and each time have been so pleased with the food, along with the relaxing setting and friendly service. It is absolutely perfect if you want to grab something satisfying for breakfast/lunch. On our first visit we took advantage of the "wrap special" having a lamb and falafel wrap respectively. This was tasty and really great value, filling our tummies for just a few quid! This morning we enjoyed a grilled cheese panini and lamb platter respectively. All dishes came with crisp fresh salads and hummus which is a great touch, and the food is always plated beautifully even though it is just a small cafe. The choice on the menu is great and could cater for most diets. We looked forward to going back and trying their breakfast items next! This is our new favourite local for great quality casual eats.

Alternative to the mainstream, chain cafes. The friendly staff here are always ready with a welcome and one or two menu items you don't find everywhere - the Turkish coffee is certainly worth a try.

Very very dismissive, rude staff..lacking in simple customer service skills. New to didcot and was highly recommended the cafe. I can see alot of regulars go there, maybe you need to be well known to be welcomed into the cafe. We ordered three lunches, big breakfast, tuna panini (with filling only in one part) and a lamb wrap, did not get offered any sauces.. and were made to feel very uncomfortable by the tall waiter who stood staring at us for half the lunch.

This is my family's favourite place to eat in Didcot. We tend to eat the Lebanese food as it is tasty, healthy and interesting. The staff are always wonderfully enthusiastic. It is a sister restaurant of Mezze House in Abingdon that I would also recommend.

I've walked past so many times and assumed it would be a crappy little cafe, but I was lured in by the promise of a halloumi panini (I LOVE halloumi!).I'm really impressed for Didcot - it's definitely somewhere I'd take friends if they visited.The menu was slightly more interesting that your average cafe, the salad that came with the panini was nice and fresh, with some houmous to dip into. The staff were really friendly and helpful and the food came out quickly.I'd love to see some more people in there. I'd love to see them add more fresh and adventurous things on the menu as I'd trust them to do it well. We could finally have a decent place to go for a lunch date in Didcot!

Have tried Salinas twice. The staff were unfriendly on both occasions. Prices are too high for the quality of what you get! Would not go again or recommend!

We were very Hungary and it was in the afternoon , we just passed the place. It looked just like a cafe . We went in and ordered 7 Meze for 2 . We were very surprised as the food was great , very tasty . Service excellent too.I do not believe they are marketing the place that well

We popped in for lunch, ordering one meat and one vegetarian mixed Lebanese meze. the homous and mouttabel were delicious and there was a nice variety of other small dishes served with them. Staff were friendly and food was reasonably priced, will definitely return.

Salina's is a fantastic little café in the town centre. They also do lovely Lebanese food and this is excellent. The service is very friendly.

Not the cheapest Panini I've ever had, but it was good and tasty. They have quite a large menu for a small cafe, I would have been liked to be left alone to peruse it, but the girl there kept asking me for my choice and whilst I was looking kept interrupting me with suggestions. I will be back, but I'd like to be left alone to choose my food.

We popped in for a shawarma..the owner was lovely and welcoming. The shawarma wasn't as "Lebanese " as I expected. Nothing to write home about. The meat was already cut up in a container and he just added some sauce to it and stuck it in the microwave before putting it in the wrap. Haven't tried the other food there though.

My favourite place to lunch in Didcot. I normally opt for the falafel platter, which consists of falafel, houmous, spicy potatoes, pitta bread and salad. Delicious, and the service is fast and friendly.
