Food was great, but service was a bit slack (maybe too busy with all the parties there at same time). Definitely go back again sometime just as a couple.

It's not a restaurant I'd go to again in a hurry, Over priced and honestly not top quality food, staff very slow possibly because it was busy but it didn't wow me at all

I attended a friend's birthday at this venue hosting 40 people and it was awesome. The food, atmosphere, service and host was superb. Aylin was so sweet. Her smile and body language was so welcoming. She constantly updated us and even informed us when she finished her shift. She was amazing.

The service here is amazing. Our waiter was amazing and so helpful. Food and drinks were good. I really appreciate having my birthday cake delivered by our waiter and having balloons set up by our table. Big thanks for extra strawberries ❤️

Portion size wasn't great, rice was barely 2 spoonfuls on a platter. Service was okay. I would say pick shish & adana and next time that's only what I will consume.

The food was of excellent quality, the atmosphere was fantastic, and the flavors were delightful as well.

We arrived during lunch time and the waiter gave us the evening menu thinking we wouldn’t notice. When we asked for the lunch menu he didn’t apologise and told us to order drinks first. Theres room for improvement with service and they could be friendly.

We went over as a team to celebrate a gold award last night (12/4/24), prior to the visit we experienced a hick up which nearly led to the cancelation of our visit to the restaurant but a very special thanks to Hassan who intervened and made it all happen. He was amazing, understanding, very king and helpful. Another special thanks goes to Aylin who looked after us last night, she was very patient and the service was amazing, My team really enjoyed the food and they were full of praises. They get 10/10 as far as l am concerned and we will definitely be going back again. Thank you Deroka for the amazing night and experience.

Once we are at the entrance, we were greeted nicely. Food was excellent & the staff who served us great. Sadly the environment inside the restaurant wasn’t very nice, I would say it was noisy (customers). The restaurant was packed when we went in.

Burj, our server was good and attentive and patient. The food was decent and okay. I did have a fab lunch at another Mediterranean cuisine restaurant in London a few days before, so that was a high standard to compare against. Front of house lady seemed less professional - seemed exasperated when I didn't quite get her instructions to go to the back of the restaurant, which looked like a door to the kitchen. Would have expected a more welcoming response to my additional question on where I should be going. A member of staff should have seated me - I had to find my way upstairs through a nondescript side door.

Always make a point of coming here when in MK. Came in on Saturday night for cocktails. They were lovely as always, as was the service and ambience. Love it here.

We visited for my birthday yesterday was supposed to be a special treat we were served our cocktails wich were nice and well presented and then we were left for over an hour until we flagged someone down and asked why our food order was not taken. Our waiter had gone on his break and no one came to attend us. The lady who took over was really good and made sure our order got put through but then our starters were rushed my deep fried brie was cold inside. The mains were okay. It was our first time visiting so our first impressions were not very good. It looked like the bottomless brunch were having a good time and being looked after but for fully paying customers we did not have the same treatment. They even put service charge on our bill wich we payed but they did not deserve.

Me and the lads went for a bottomless brunch and I have to say it was definitely worth it. The food was top tier, with a starter and main meal. Over the course of the 2 hours we had we were able to get a fair amount of cocktails in and good ones too. The only reason I’m giving 4 instead of 5 is because we were cut off from the bar, meaning that it wasn’t bottomless for us. The manager came over and explained why, and to be fair on him, I completely understood his point of view and he was very respectful. I would 100% go back again because the food was genuinely brilliant. If you’re going for dinner or just food throughout the day, then it’s a lovely place to go. If you’re looking to do a bottomless brunch, it depends what kind of vibe you’re looking for. If you do really want to just knock them back until you are crawling, then this isn’t the place to go for one. However, if you want to go to a bottomless brunch with top tier food, service, and atmosphere, then I can only highly recommend it.

My wife and I celebrated our 10th wedding anniversary at Deroka Milton Keynes, and I must say, it was a memorable experience. From the moment we stepped foot into the restaurant, we were greeted with warm hospitality and excellent service. Communication played a vital role in making our celebration extra special, and Jay, the general manager, truly went above and beyond to ensure our needs were met. He took the time to personally speak with us, making us feel like valued guests. Jay's attention to detail and genuine care for his customers truly stood out. We were taken to our table on the balcony, overlooking the entire restaurant. This added an extra touch of elegance and allowed us to enjoy the vibrant atmosphere while still maintaining a sense of privacy. The attention to detail in seating us at the perfect table truly showed the restaurant's commitment to providing an exceptional dining experience. To kick off our celebration, we were pleasantly surprised with an arrangement of flowers and Prosecco at the table. The flowers added a nice touch to our dining experience, and the Prosecco was the perfect way to toast to our milestone. The food was delightful, with a wide range of options on the menu, we opted for the mixed grill platter to share which was more than enough for 2 people and great value for money. The service throughout the evening was impeccable. Our waiter was attentive, ensuring that our glasses were never empty and that we had everything we needed to make our anniversary truly memorable. Overall, our experience was nothing short of exceptional. From the communication with Jay, the flowers and Prosecco, to the delicious food and impeccable service, every aspect of our needs was taken care of. We highly recommend Deroka Milton Keynes for any occasion. We will definitely be returning in the future.

Bottomless brunch: We were told after 1hour 15 minutes that we had drank 7 drinks each too fast and our 8th would be our last. They brought over the bill after our complaint to prove a point totalling our drinks at £146 for 4 of us. This felt crude and invasive last time we had brunch here we totalled 9 drinks by the end of our session. If you are coming here for one or two great but if you would like a actual bottomless this isn’t the place. Would not recommend.

We have been here many times before and always had really nice food! On this occasion, the food was nice but the service was very poor. We were sat upstairs with only one member of staff attending to roughly 15 tables. To begin with, we were in the process of ordering our drinks and it was almost like the waiter couldn't wait to get away, we had barely finished asking for our order of 4 drinks before he had started walking away. We then had the same issue when ordering our food. We ordered four mains and wanted to order some sides but he has already started walking away from our table before we had finished ordering. We ordered the Tatziki for our starter, once this was served we then waited around 10 minutes for the bread to be brought over to the table so we could actually start eating. The food tasted lovely, although it said on the menu the chicken shish was served with stir fry vegetables and it was actually served with half a tomato and a pepper. When it came to receiving our bill, this took around 20 minutes to get the waiters attention, he then acknowledged our request but proceeded to serve a number of other tables before fulfilling our request. When you pay 10% service charge you should receive a higher level of service than this.

An excellent restaurant with great tasting food packed with flavour. Starters were fantastic. Adana kebab with rice and veg stir fry and the sea bass was superb and full of flavour even the vegetables. Crème brûlée at the end was good but don’t think they put any burnt sugar on top. Service attentive - an enjoyable evening and would recommend to all. 10/10.

Big shout out to Dillon (Dillan) who was the server for our table for the whole of our brunch experience on Sunday. She was absolutely amazing!! She went above and beyond, nothing was too much. Took our order, brought out drinks, kept them constantly topped up, brought out the food, took pics for us, got my friend a hair band, checked in on us, cleared away our table and all with a big smile. 💯% Customer Service, Give that girl a raise! 🙌🏻 Thank you so much for making our visit a pleasant one.

We had a large booking of at least 30 people or more and 1 waiter to take all orders , ridiculous. Waiter never once smiled looked fed up as hell, food is ridiculously expensive for wat you get. I really dont mind paying watever as long as the food is good and portions are decent. 3 tiny pieces of tough lamb chops and a bit of mash with some sauted peppers on the side which I dont like for £25.50, terrible service totally chaotic and uncomfortable bench seating. Not my idea of a great night. I think the management need to go and see how they serve in Antwerp kitchen and olive tree and gokyuzu to see efficient service with a smile of massive bookings and how wonderful their food is presented and tastes. The only thing I will say the mocktails and cocktails were nice and boujie in de roka. That's it . Also I overpaid as my £20 deposit I paid for myself and my friend didn't get taken off my bill. As we opted to pay individually as so.e of us dont drink alcohol. The waiter should have reminded each person and taken it off. I think with large bookings the need to take pre orders and payment system. Management need to find a solution to chaotic confusion of who ordered wat. Take a pre order with the person name . Job done.

The staff could have been more attentive and accommodating to dietary restrictions or special requests. Additionally, better communication and a friendly demeanor can greatly enhance the dining experience and make customers feel valued. It is important for restaurants to prioritize customer satisfaction and create a welcoming atmosphere for all. The portions wasn’t big enough for the money that people are spending on which was horrendous.

The food was too salty and disgusting, the staff were so rude when i tried calling them three time without hearing me i stood up to call them and they started being rude me. I would not recommend this restaurant to any one, furthermore the toilet is always dirty

Nice independent venue that has taken over the old Loch Fyne unit in the Milton Keynes Hub. Good menu variety with vegetarian and pasta dishes. Staff were friendly and welcoming and catered well for the young child with us.

Celebrating my Daughters 14th birthday and was welcomed upon arrival. Cengiz attended to our every need and ensured we were looked after and had more than exceptional service throughout our meal. My mum was very pleased to see the disabled access accommodated her and there was no need for any stair use. Food is impeccable and definitely recommend this place all day long

Typically,we would never have any sort of issue with this resturant as we have been before. But today, we visited for mother’s day and our reservation was booked for 8pm, we booked it this late as we were sure we would be able to sit and dine until 9:30 earliest and the restaurant closed at 10:30. Our food arrived, we started to eat and the waiter asked if we wanted a second round of drinks as the restaurant was supposed to close soon ,it was not even 9pm yet. The tables around us started getting cleaned up early and this made us uncomfortable the music was even switched off. So I feel as though we were very much rushed.I ended up packing my kids food up that wasn’t even half way finished. I spoke to the manager and he basically told me that they were closing early on this specific day? Could he not have put a notice up on facebook? Or told me i only had an hour to eat before entering the restaurant? If he did, it would’ve been appreciated and I would’ve gone to another restaurant instead of wasting my time. This really ruined my mother’s day i am disappointed and even disgusted. Ruined a night that could’ve been great.

We were looking really forward to having this birthday meal for my son as we'd heard a lot of good things about this place. The service was second to none, as the waiter was lovely. The drinks were great. The ambience and decor, nice. However, the food was actually very disappointing. We waited 20mins just to order. One of the starters was one and a half tablespoon of oily mush. The second starter was ONE mushroom with a bit of cheese and a few leaves. The mains were drier than dry and pretty flavourless, served with more dry rice and a strip of a tortilla wrap. To make it worse, the mains were delayed for at least 30 mins for which the waiter politely apologised. Truly disappointed, don't think we'd be going back in a hurry.

The best Turkish restaurant in MK. As a blind traveller, I have had a range of experiences when it comes to service. But the service received tonight was exceptionally fantastic. When food was brought out, the waitress noticed my sight loss and described what she was doing and where she was putting things. This was done with care and genuinely wanting me to have the best experience. The service stood out and I will be returning. On top of the fantastic service, the food was fantastic and served quickly and efficiently.

Fantastic food with exceptional service. As a blind traveller, I have experienced a range of service levels. But today I had the best experience I have ever had. The waitress noticed my sight loss and then described what she was doing and where she was putting things. I have never had this superb level of service before. I will be returning.

Went today for their bottomless brunch. The lamb tagine was wonderful as was the taziki starter. I would recommend this restaurant and will definitely visit again.

I booked this wonderful venue in MK for my works staff Party of over 75 people. I have to say without a doubt the staff, Jay the manager/owner went over and above in terms of the service they provided to my company staff that evening The food was delicious, hot, plentiful and all thoroughly enjoyed their food. With so many people to cater for in one event they handled it flawlessly and with care and respect. I would go back again and would Highly recommend this venue to anyone thinking of having a party big or small at this restaurant in Milton Keynes

I booked for 10 people for this restaurant and paid for £100 deposit. Unfortunately 2 people can’t make it due to unforeseen reasons but when I made the payment, I have been told that only £80 of my deposit could be used for the bill. This is unheard of and totally unfair to the customer as we only sat at an 8 seater with 2 extra chairs added at the end plus we have not been told of this at the start of the meal. Service is horrible as we have been rushed through all the time!!!!!!

Very like this place been multiple times amaizing customer service from Cenghizan amaizing waiter and always caring for our needs. Really attentive with all our requests...5 star service. Definitely will come back...

We came here for new year's Eve, what to say, the service was immaculate, (thanks to our waiter Chenghizan) i loved the food and everything was clean! I am a vegeterian and the vegan/vegeterian options were really good! When i'll visit Milton again i'm Sure i Will came to this Place tò enjoy a MEAL!

A large capacity, nicely done out restaurant serving Turkish food, loads of seating downstairs with additional upstairs seating. We booked and ate a late lunch here and appreciate it wasn't busy but it was freezing cold, we kept our coats and scarves on so we weren't terribly comfortable. Unfortunately, this spoiled the rest of the experience. Hence the low score. I'm sure it's a buzzing place to eat when it's busy.

Absolutely amazing 5* all the way from the service to the food to the cocktails. Lovely attentive staff who make you feel so welcome, the service is upper class all the way & the chefs who make the delicious food do an amazing job. Would highly recommend it and will definitely come back. The price is well worth it. Also 241 on selected cocktails all day every day. I had the lamb tagine, and my husband had the mixed shish.

I didn't have food but I did ask the table next to us how it is & it looked great. Literally only popped in there for a cocktail while waiting for friends. Drinks were nice & my partner got 2for1. I felt the prices were good, some may say over priced but I think they're worth it. The small 20 minutes I was there, made me wanna come back and do the bottomless brunch.

Cramped into chairs and staff miserable just all round a bad vibe! I would not choose to eat here again family members that were visiting also agreed they would not wish to come back to Deroka. Very disappointed as the pictures when booking looked fabulous what you see & what you get are both entirely different thing! Despite DeRoka being a busy restaurant, the staff is managing it really well. We were seated without delays and our food arrived quickly. I liked that they brought it for everyone at once, so nobody had to wait and look at how others eat. Service is atte Good things about the food- every main comes with some vegetables, portions are big enough and everything we tried was tasty. From the downsides (for me) - I would prefer dressings and spices served separately, not all over the food. Also they don't have tissues, toothpicks or sauces/oils on the tables. Be aware they are charging £6 for service too.

Strange policy on their 2 for 1 cocktails. Ordered two of the same for the deal and 4 arrived. Told its per person. Very confusing as I’m paying for them anyway. Would have been nice to know when ordering as well so I could have at least ordered different drinks. Sneaking way to squeeze an extra tenner I guess.

Went for my birthday, when we arrived the woman that greeted us had bad attitude, I told her my friend and her husband couldn’t make it as she was very poorly, she told me I’d loose £20 of the £40 deposit I paid because they saved our table, even though they was taking walk ins, I said I wasn’t aware of that she was abrupt, didn’t care, then proceeded to sit us on a two seater table, we then waited 25 minutes to even have a drinks order, waiter was nice and food was nice, chips were cold, music was so loud I couldn’t hear my partner talk, prob not the best place to go for a chat, Think the nicest person there was the lady door bouncer

I Went there to celebrate my 20th birthday yesterday, food was amazing but service was not good at all. My booking was at 8pm and although there were a few issues that were of my control, I felt very rushed and uneasy the whole evening by the waiters. I understand that it was busy, but the attitude wasnt the best Such a shame because the food was lovely along with the atmosphere.

We were travelling back through Milton Keynes and decided on this place randomly for dinner as we were in the mood for Turkish food. WOW. What a find! Portions are huge and great quality, our waiter was extremely friendly and genuine and the place is absolutely beautiful. I found a great deal of choice as a vegetarian too, which is always good :) I had the veggie skewer, falafel and hummus and we got stacks of bread / hummus on the house too. Their mocktails are also some of the best around. We eat out a lot so know when it's good. This place deserves credit!

I recently visited Deroka for a work Christmas Party. When we sat down to order a couple of us wanted to swap our rice for chips on our Mixed Shish. The waiter that served us said that it was okay for the woman on our table to do this but the two men on the table who wanted to swap too were not allowed - the waiter told us that apparently if he let more than one person on the table swap rice for chips his manager would “give him a red card” whatever that means. Once we had ordered, I was halfway through my (overpriced) cocktail when I popped to the toilet but when I returned to the table my glass had been taken. The glass was half full and clearly not finished so I don’t know why it was taken. When the food came out it tasted quite bland and under-seasoned. Neither of the waiters came to check on us to see if our food was okay during our meals. When it was time to pay, the waiter had added a mandatory 15% tip to the bill which we didn’t request and definitely wasn’t deserved. I will not be returning.

Me and my work colleagues went for a meal here this evening for our christmas party. Granted everyone else’s food was lovely and the lady that served us was too. However when it came to my food due to my nut allergies i couldn’t have the original pesto pasta i ordered so the waitress told me she could make me a different sauce to have along with it, prior to finding out i couldn’t have the pesto i asked to have the pasta without mushrooms, when the pasta was given to me all i could describe the sauce as is a pure mushroom sauce therefore after much embarrassment i gave it back to the waitress saying that i was really sorry but i just did not like it due to it tasting like pure mushroom and me not asking for the original mushrooms to be with it. i thought it was a given that i didn’t like mushrooms and as she had suggested a sauce herself i trusted her. she was very kind about it and took it back. Bare in mind i only had one tube of this pasta, i then assumed i wouldn’t have to pay for it. Once the bill came out i saw i was being charged for the pasta, i had only eaten one tube, if i had eaten half the bowel i would understand but no way was i paying for something that i only took one bite of. After much back and forth the waitress told me that because she couldn’t give it to someone else, she didn’t put anything but cream in the sauce and there was no valid reason i had to pay so therefore i did which is ridiculous. i suggest changing your policy and listening to your costumers needs and wants to prevent this happening once again. Hate to be a karen

I was shocked i came in for my friends birthday meal and the staff were so so rude! Service was slow we were completely ignored while other tables were being waited on frequently. I have came here before with my family and it was completely fine. However with a younger presence at the table we all felt like we were being ignored.

honestly awful experience, 1 star is too high to be honest, it was my friends birthday, a lovely lady welcomed us and sat us down, that was the only good part of this experience, our server jargus was rude, ignored us for most of the time we were there, stared and pointed at us whilst we ate and had a disgusting attitude and the way he spoke to us was not okay. i didn’t like the food, i barely even had a mouthful, i told the server i didn’t like it and got shouted at? like i was getting told off, then the manager came over and still charged me for half of it as ‘they’ve lost out’ very overpriced for disgusting food. will not be coming back and i do not recommend it to anyone.

I was given a voucher for quite a large sum to enjoy a meal here. On arriving we were greeted rudely, being told they didn’t recognise the voucher and it was no good. No customer service or friendliness. We were told to go to the neighbouring restaurant to ask the manager there, who right away said of course it was fine and took us back to De Roka. My little daughter was very upset about this. The food was pleasant but not enough to make me go back again given the rude manner in which we were treated sadly.

Lovely food - superb host, decor and service is all great. Highly recommend. We are all in the area for work and came out for dinner together. The maitre d couldn’t be more friendly and kind! Wear stretchy pants, the portions are HUGE!!
