Galu is brilliant for entertaining family as well as friends out on a big one. The team there are outstanding. You always feel so looked after.

Food was tasty, service was friendly and attentive. However I won’t go back as there were two birthdays going on and so on two separate occasions, very loud and long Happy Birthday songs were blasted out on speakers. Each time, the whole noise level of the restaurant was raised so much, I couldn’t then hear the other two people I was sitting with. It never returned back down to the pre-music ambience which was a real shame and spoiled our evening.

I always enjoy eating at Gali . It has a nice atmosphere, and good food.We will definitely revisit soon.

Enjoyable food, a little slow on service but friendly. Busy atmosphere. Not a bad restaurant just a little dated for my taste and perhaps a little over priced. A very 90s vibe... home printed drinks menus, steak Diane, loud intermittent bursts of birthday announcements over the speakers followed by 4 song mix including 50cent "party like it's your birthday." Take a mate, take several...but not a date.

Had a great night with friends. The service was excellent, food came at the time it was needed. A shared starter was enough for the three of us. I had my favourite belly of pork. We were able to relax between meals and enjoy the buzzing atmosphere around us. Music was fab and we even had a jiggle. We ate and chatted well into the night. So thank you all at Galu

I’ve dined here numerous times before and it’s been great. At the weekend this time it was a mediocre experience, the mushroom risotto I hate to say it was swimming in mushrooms which killed the dish really. Prawn starters not the same as I remember having before. All in all a little pricey for what was given.

Galu never fails to disappoint. Celebratory birthday meal. Restaurant was quiet, but it was a Thursday night. The food was fresh and they were happy to offer an alternate to one of the main courses for one of my guests. There were three birthdays being celebrated on the same evening. All were treated to the birthday song, which was lovely as everyone joined in. This restaurant is always in my top choices for a local meal and I always recommend it.

I arrived first in our group and ordered a beer, I was given change from a £15 note, not a good start. As I sat in the bar area , every one of the bar chairs had holes in the fabric on the arms of the chair giving a shabby look. I enjoyed my meal but the lighting can be a bit too dim that you struggle to read the menu. I don't think I shall be returning.

We had a fantastic evening. the service was excellent and the waiter ensured we were looked after. we weren't rushed at all and the food was delicious. highly recommended

First time visiting Galu, at short notice had to increase the table size, the staff were brilliant in accommodating our extra guests. Decor and vibe of the restaurant were first class, food was incredible and staff were friendly and attentive. Overall a great experience, would highly recommend.

We dined mid-week and therefore the restaurant was fairly quiet. This suited us. The service was impeccable and the staff couldn’t do more for us. The food and cocktails were lovely too! We will be back for a weekend evening where we can enjoy the music and dancing too!

Been 4 times each time is better than the last. Tuesday half-price steak night tonight and was fabulous. The portion sizes were perfect and we both felt happily full at the end. A perfect night out once again.

My husband and l decided it would be nice to go out for a spontaneous Sunday lunch. We had heard about Galu from a friend so we thought we’d give it a go. We sat outside on the terrace in the front of the restaurant as the weather was so nice. The service and the food was really good and we enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere and had a lovely time together. Just perfect on a sunny Sunday afternoon. We intend on visiting this restaurant again and would recommend.

We live locally to Galu and have been visiting regularly since the restaurant opened ten years ago. We decided to book for an early supper last night to celebrate my partner’s birthday a few days. Vas and the team looked after us well as always and the food was tasty. We must remember to book a table for half price steak night on a Tuesday night soon. Highly recommended.

My partner and I went for a meal here last night and it was absolutely outstanding, the duck salad is delicious and the trio of dips are yummy. We shared a tomahawk steak which was cooked to perfection and on a Tuesday is also half price!! The staff are really friendly and there is a nice atmosphere, would 100% reccomend this restaurant

Well another lovely visit to a fantastic restaurant. Fathers Day was the occasion and we made a good choice to celebrate at Galu once again. The food and staff are top notch. Can't wait to go back!

Always good food, good service and yesterday was good value for money, great Father’s Day menu.

Birthday treat for my sister, first time for us. Starters were tasty. My main, tagliatelle, was just OK but the other diners liked theirs, chicken and lambs liver. We waited a while to be served and others after us were served before but that was OK as we weren’t in a rush. Although it was told to the restaurant that it was for a birthday, no staff mentioned this or wished her a happy day which was a shame. I can’t fault the dolmades, nor the taramasalata. I will return for the Dolmades! Certainly that dish was the star of the night.

We love Galu, we just need to go there more often!

Father’s Day occasion, a lovely dinner. A main course that wasn’t on the menu was offered to dad which topped the night. Attentive service with simple yet elegant food. Definitely get what you pay for in a positive way. Would return again with friends or family. A restaurant fit for all purposes.

Food was great and the celebrations for peoples birthdays were energetic combined with good music , definitely a unique dining experience.

We had a wonderful experience at Galu, we went for the ‘half price steak night’ and were thrilled with the whole evening. The staff were absolutely lovely, attentive and fun, the food was outstanding, my husband said the 1k tomahawk steak was the best steak he’d ever had (high praise!!) and we felt it was fantastic value for money. The staff even made a fuss of my husband as it was his birthday! Would highly recommend and have already decided to return next month for my birthday!

This is a great place for good atmosphere and lovely staff, it us noisy but just because everyone is having a good time, will definitely be back.

This is by far our favourite resturant! The food is authentic and absolutely beautiful I can’t rate it enough. The staff are lovely and place looks great. Since finding this place we find it hard to go anywhere else nothing seems to live up to the food and service here and the price is very reasonable. I can’t wait for my next visit!

Very popular Mediterranean restaurant on the Nork side of Banstead. Modern interior and many traditional Greek and Italian dishes. Very friendly staff. We always enjoy ourselves when we go to Galu.

Lovely restaurant , came a few years back post covid and had a good time. Place is a bit tired looking- needs updating a bit. Nice staff Lively atmosphere. Food was tasty

Went on Tuesday for half-price steak night. Fillet was excellent and each one cooked as ordered. Only downside was the delay between starters and mains. Would definitely return as the menu offers a lot of choices.

Went for Sunday lunch. We hadn’t been for a while but they were, as always, very welcoming and friendly. The Sunday menu is great value and the food was very tasty. We will go again in the near future.

I would say this is probably one of the best meals out I have had for a very long time. Food was fantastic, freshly prepare and came out piping hot which I don’t think I have ever had when eating out. Staff were very friendly and attentive. The restaurant was very clean and I love the open kitchen so you can see your food being cooked. I would definitely recommend and will be revisiting many times. This was the perfect meal to end a perfect birthday.

Good food and service but just be aware this is a busy, and very noisy restaurant where comfortable conversation can be difficult at times, certainly on a Saturday night.
