Warm reception and service. Food was excellent. Only downside was the arrival of the mains shortly after finishing our starter despite asking for time in between. Would definitely return here if in the area

Went here in May 2024 with my boyfriend for our anniversary and wow. It was absolutely amazing. The interior was so cool, staff were extremely friendly and helped with recommending things for us, and the food and drinks were UNREAL. My favorite was the dragon roll, it was the best I’ve ever had in my life and I can’t stop thinking about it. Every single food and drink we ordered just blew me away and I can’t wait to come back here. Staff, food, vibes 100/10

Excellent from start to finish.

Great sushi and other food. Friendly staff. Highly recommended. Fish is super fresh and dishes are well balanced. Not the biggest place, so booking recommended. Decor is a little dates and simple, but don’t let that fool you. Food is worth it.

Tried again, as we love Asian food, cocktails were so slow, but assume because of orders and lack of bar staff. Food was ok, although my noodles wasn’t warm, let alone hot. The menu is very very small, we feel the other restaurant on west street offers more choice, Rhangtang.

Had a really nice meal here. service was warm and welcoming. Food was great, had a selection of starters and salad with a bit of sushi, all was good and very tasty. Need to go back and try some more dishes.

Really friendly service at family run restaurant. Sushi and tempura was really authentic and tasted very fresh. I would suggest asking for good recommendations as they have lots of specials on the menu. Overall a great experience and certainly would go again.

Standards are dropping sadly. When we first started coming it was beautiful, the sushi was served on dry ice and a stunning board, all tiered and presentation was 10/10. Last time their sushi came with roses as decoration then last night it was just sushi on a plate, really boring. Still tasty but we used to come cos it was something special but last night it was just average sushi to be honest. I know they do weekend offers now but we never go for these so we paid full price each time we have been but it really has taken the shine off it for us sadly.

We were booked into a different restaurant, but our need for Thai styler food was greater, we searched for Thai style and happened to come across Bombos. We did our checking of previous reviews and were impressed. We booked and went there Friday night (7th Feb 2025). The greeting from Spike was genuine, warm, friendly, and with a grace to make you feel appreciated. Spike was helpful with the menu and genuinely engaged in a general chatter with enthusiasm, a nice touch as some places don't engage. The menu was a delight to read, mouthwatering stories of each dish. The delight was that the menu was not vast, which in my opinion is a great thing, as you get quality from the dishes they do and do well, rather than a myriad of dishes that could do better. So, a top score from us. We ordered, my wife and I, starters of Chicken Tatsutaage and I had Octopus Balls. All I can say here is...... OMG. My wife doesn't go overboard for a fish dish, but she absolutely loved the Octopus Balls. We both loved the two starters. They arrived, well presented, with clearly both love and attention, with an almost painted finish, they looked that nice. What a fabulous start to our experience of Bombos. The mains we ordered were Chicken Katsu Curry together with Bibimbap (Chicken) . We were NOT disappointed. The presentation was sublime, careful, delicate, with panache from someone who loves their job and takes pride. The flavours were an abudance of sensor hitting delights, there was nothing to fault. We will be back to enjoy the rest of the menu, we cannot wait to get there again. Thank you, Bombos.

Just tried to visit but you're closed!!! Please tell me you're going to reopen...this has ruined my day. Sad noot.

Fuimos como una comida especial de cumpleaños para nuestro hijo. El personal de espera era atento, acogedor y amable. La comida era deliciosa con porciones de gran tamaño. Sin duda volveremos si estamos en la zona.

Comida increíble, servicio rápido y muy amable, por esta razón este restaurante siempre está lleno, recomiendo llamar para reservar una mesa antes de ir.

La gente que lo dirige era súper encantadora. Cuando entré con mi hijo a comer sushi para llevar para nuestro almuerzo. Muy útil para tomar decisiones y recomendaciones. 5 ⭐️

Delicious tapas, nice wine et great atmosphere. For sure, that's not fine food but the products are good and the cooker is talented. Whatever, I love thise place!
