Incredible food, perfect casual stop. The salmon avocado roll was divine, and the tako yaki was super yummy. The pair running the restaurant was lovely. Highly recommend!

Great little sushi place quite close to the beach. It’s small, so there’s only space for about 6 or 8 people to eat in, but they do take away as well. We’re two adults and two kids, and we went in for lunch.We’re not sushi experts, but it was all prepared fresh to order, looked great, and tasted great too. Would recommend if you’re looking for a change from fish and chips, pizza and the other usual stuff.

Seating was cramped for 5 of us (wife + 3 kids) at the bench (there are only 2 benches in the place, so total capacity of about 8). Also - they don't serve booze. BUT. Food was exceptional. Easy the best sushi rolls I have had in this country, and I eat a lot of sushi. Sashimi fresh and other items (like Tempura) were crazy good. I see what all the fuss is about food wise for sure. Kids loved it (9,10,12) - they ordered and ate more than I thought possible for small humans.

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Sushi & Roll. The sushi was delicious, such interesting dishes well presented and friendly service. We eat lots of Sushi and this is the best sushi we have had for a long time. Can’t wait to go back next time we are in Bournemouth

I have come here for sushi for years and it's always good. There's only a few seats available but the staff are friendly and the food is always fresh.

Amazing food, all freshly prepared, full Of flavor and super fresh. We took our boys (5 and 7) who loved all the dishes they tried! Would 100% recommend, and we can’t wait to return

I came across this restaurant doing a search and glad I did. The food was divine and the proprietors were friendly and attentive. You can see the food being prepared, and comes fresh to your table. Am planning another visit soon.

This is a real Bournemouth hidden gem. It's a tiny little shop with some sit-in stools, but they also do take-out. The sushi is amazing. I would highly recommend the black tiger sushi which has an amazing prawn crunch in it. Also, the chicken kara-age is fab. They are lovely people. Super food. We love going to this place, and will keep coming back.

Visited the restaurant and ordered some sushi. The sushi was order-to-make and they were very nice and reasonably priced, and the restaurant was very clean. However, the restaurant / bar was very small and there were only 8 seats, so it can get very packed quickly. It does not accept cash (and they didn't put up any warning as far as I can see), and there was a couple who didn't have enough cash and was told to go to Asda/Tesco to get some cash! I also felt like I was pushed to order a certain sushi dish on the menu; in fact, 10 mins later, there was another couple who tried to order something else and was told by the male owner "Actually we would recommend customers to order the other dish [the same item as I've been "suggested" to order] instead".

The sushi was amazing and to people there are the nicest people I’ve met. Easily 10/10. The homemade sauce there is exceptionably The Best.

Came here with my partner, very friendly staff and good service but most importantly the beautiful and tasty sushi, making this one of the best places in Bournemouth to visit for sushi.

This really is a tiny restaurant which can only sit about 6 people, that said we were lucky enough to get the last two bar stools to enjoy our food. Not the cheapest sushi but it was fresh and tasty, friendly staff and quick service

We dropped in here in the evening to pick up a quick bite to eat. The three members of staff where very friendly and accommodating. Everything was prepared freshly. The bulgogi was very tasty and so were the inari rolls.

La selección de sushi mixto del chef consistió en ingredientes baratos de 2 langostinos dulces, 2 inari, 1 nigiris de tortilla de huevo y 4 trozos pequeños de rollo de maki de salmón. Casi ningún marisco de buena calidad o generoso esperaría de un supuestamente el mejor lugar de sushi de la ciudad. La ausencia de wasabi en el nigiri fue una historia reveladora de que este lugar no era lo que parece. Sin embargo, el servicio fue amable y eficiente. No recomendado.

Nos topamos con este lugar por accidente cuando un restaurante frente a la playa nos rechazó. Es más una comida para llevar que una comida, pero por suerte logramos comer en 2 adultos y 2 niños. Tuvimos una de nuestras comidas más memorables en familia. No me preguntes qué somos, los dos chefs recomiendan algunos platos. Teníamos rollos de California, albóndigas crujientes y al vapor, algas, nigiri, pollo y platos de fideos. Cada uno preparado con excelencia y cariño. Maravillosa recepción. El propietario fue muy amable y servicial, ya que esta la primera vez que habíamos estado. Really lovely fresh sushi, all made to order. We had mixed sushi platter, battleships, grilled eel, veggie tempura and spring rolls, plus miso soup-all delicious! Tiny but amazing, we sat in the window watching whilst eating. Will definitely be going back for more!

Este pequeño y humilde bar de sushi tiene un sushi increíble, recién preparado y muy bien presentado. Es principalmente para llevar, pero puede sentarse en los taburetes de las ventanas o en los taburetes de la barra, y ver pasar el mundo. Mucho mejor que el supermercado prepacked sushi, y mucha variedad.Hubiera tenido 5 estrellas, pero nos hemos decepcionado un par de veces, al encontrarlo cerrado. Entendemos que el chef es el genio creativo y trabajador detrás de la barra de sushi, por lo que si está enfermo / necesita un día libre, etc., no hay nadie para reemplazarlo. Es una pena, pero se enorgullece de lo que hace, y merece su gran reputación.

It's a really good place to go to for fresh, original and delicious sushis. Tiny place but its on purpose.and who cares about the size when the proper taste is in the mouth. From far the best sushis that i had to eat in England. Well done guys. Great service too.

I popped into sushi and roll by chance on Sat. I was pursuaded to try the owner to try the black tiger roll which was outstanding. The other negiri was great too but the tiger roll was another level. When i next visit Bournemouth i will be back.

This is best sushi place we have visited so far. After initial visit on Wednesday night for takeaways we visited again the next day for a family meal, kids loved it. My wife wanted another take away on our way back to London, unfortunately place did not open until 12:00 so we had to give it a mis.

Had a great lunch here today, with a scenic sight of the sea edging into our view as we watched half term crowds scurry past. It was our first visit to this restaurant and it did not disappoint. The sushi was fresh, the tempura sensational and the staff friendly.

Been going there for 3 years and still going back! Fresh and fantastic food at reasonnable price.( Go to Yo Sushi and see if you have the same quantity / quality for the same price)

Excellent food, but service sub par. Refused my debt card and had to take a 10 min walk to get cash while leaving my family to choose. Only then to see cards being accepted by other patrons. Guess I must of looked shifty, for that reason unlikely to be back.

A very small sushi bar-style restaurant, with a few stools and take-away options. The rolls here were good. The Lion King roll was a nice spin on a California, with extra salmon on top. The tiger roll was also good, with fried prawn. Both rolls were nicely presented, and well-filled. I also appreciated that the chef gave some of his own recommendations when I first tried to order the regular California roll, advising on alternatives that were a bit more exciting.

Small, family-run sushi joint with fresh ingredients. We had a tiger roll and vegetarian roll each made in a timely manner with friendly service.

Se puede decir por la gente que viene y comer y tomar distancia, es un lugar popular. Si visita Bournemouth este lugar es imprescindible. La comida es preparada en frente de usted y bien presentada. No puedo esperar a volver allí de nuevo.

Past this place so many times, this time we stopped and went in! Glad we did, great food and friendly chef who chatted with us. Things made to order and you can ask the chef for advice and he can make things off menu. Seating for 8 people, so be prepared for take out if no room. Enjoy!

I discovered this place about 2 years ago and has been a regular since. Compared to other sushi takeaway this one gives a quality sushi. Menu limited but they roll up lovely fresh sushi so that’s enough for me

This is amazing sushi. I just wish they had a bigger restaurant or delivery to Poole. We had s selection between us and every piece was fresh, tasty and amazing.

Forget any other sushi restaurant. This is the best. If you ever thought that sushi can be only a snack, Sushi & Roll will prove you wrong. You just keep ordering until you are so full you cannot move. Fantastic!

This is a tiny restaurant and only has 8 bar seats but they also do take away. The staff are very friendly and the food from a fairly comprehensive menu is excellent. Fabulously fresh and wonderfully tasty. Take cash, there is a charge for use of cards.

It's a small place, but the food is excellent, made fresh in front of you. Staff are always lovely; food's very authentic too (although not sure about the cress?!). Would recommend if you're visiting Bournemouth. Good to support local businesses and small enterprises when they do a good job and this was the first sushi place in Bournemouth before Yo! moved in!

This is a takeaway not a restaurant really. There are about 4 stalls to sit on at a bar but that's it. Lovely food and I would happily recommend.

This place is little more than a small kiosk for takeaways, but is is big on flavour.Just space for 6 or 7 people to sit at a counter and enjoy delicious fresh sushi.Their popular black tiger roll was very nice but the vegetable tempura had the edge for me. So crisp and light!

So fresh and perfect every time, friendly service. We return time and time again. We order over the phone and collect. You can sit in there are seats and can watch your sushi been made. We are so lucky in Bournemouth to have such a wonderful Sushi Bar. Try and you will not be disappointed. Love it love it.

Situated in the center of Bournemouth this establishment is quite small. It doesnt have the seating of a resteraunt, but has a nice window bench to eat your sushi at. It is comfortable enough tho.The food itself is very good standard - i had noodles and my wife "dragon" rolls which were really well presented and looked delicious.The Miso soup is really good here.The price for the meals was really good given the quality. Under 10 pounds a head.Overall, i can recommend the food and have taken a menu home with me for take-aways in the future, its just as easy to pop in and get some sushi and eat at home, rather than heading into town alone, but if you are out with friends, its a great place to go for sushi in Bournemouth.

Fabulous Sushi Bar and must be the best place to eat freshly-made sushi. Sit at the bar and watch your food being prepared. I opted for the Black Tiger Roll which is very popular so you might have to wait five minutes for it to be prepared. Also had two spring rolls....delicious. Very courteous chef and assistant. Definitely worth a visit and will be visiting again when next in Bournemouth.

I ordered the tempura vegatable sushi and I can not get enough of it. I thought that there were no good sushi places in Bournemouth and Oh my I was wrong. Please expect to wait for you food and you may not be able to always eat in as it is only a small shop but you will not be diappointed with your wait. The prices are very reasonable for the amount that you get, £7 - £8 for a whole roll of sushi. I will always recommend this place to anyone!

Tiny, quirky shop on Westover road. Does a good trade in take out but if you can get one of the bar stools looking out the window towards Westover road it is a no=ice way to eat your sushi. The food is well made and freshly prepared in front of you. Only reason for not 5 stars is that the building itself is so small as you can only just call it a restaurant!

The sushi here was brilliant, we had a selection of the rolls and nigiri and it was all delicious. The restaurant is more of a take away with a few seats if you wanted to eat in. Prices are fairly standard for sushi, however there are not a lot of options for good sushi in Bournemouth and the food here is probably the best.

The sushi is very good, well prepared with attention and cleanliness, the place is not like a true restaurant is a mix between a take away and a fast food but is not a flaw, the real flaw in my opinion is the price with 10£ seems to eat just a starter.

Visited here quite often with friends or take away. Good service and quality of hand roll sushi ! The only problem is that the restaurant itself it's too small. My favourite dish is Fried beef noodle and California rolls !

Lovely little place with exceptional Sushi. I recommend the lion king rolls which are delicious. The food is prepared right in front of you so you can see how fresh everything is. You can also take out. Will come her again if I'm in Bournemouth.

Tiny cubby-hole of an eatery (more a takeaway than a restaurant - there are some stools and a shelf to eat in for about 8 people but no customer toilet).Enjoyed a delicious sushi meal here on a busy Saturday evening. Sushi is made freshly while you wait and food is served with typical Japanese courtesy.The spicy tuna roll was excellent and most food was great value (although portion sizes for edamame and seaweed were miserly).Definitely worth picking up a takeaway or squeezing in for a an authentic Japanese bite here.

Went here today for lunch with my girlfriend and really enjoyed it. Very cosy, friendly service and amazing sushi. Personally I think this is one of only a couple of good places to get sushi in Bournemouth. Will be visiting again!

We've been coming here for months. Don't waste your money in Yo Sushi. Come here. It's cheaper and 10 times better with personal service. The two staff members are lovely and the chef produces fantastic sushi. It takes a little longer to be served because everything is hand made in front of you. I can't recommend this place enough.

I think the title says enough to be fair, it's crackin'. Extremely nice sushi, great staff, relaxed and clean environment and the presentation of the food is excellent. If you like sushi or have never tried it and want a good first time experience come here! You wont leave disappointed!

Walking passed shop I wouldn't necessarily have eaten there but trip advisor reviews suggested otherwise & what a good tip. I would suggest ringing takeaway order through as 20-30 min waits seem usual (not surprised as made-to-order and not a dish to throw together!) & remember to take cash. Service friendly, sushi lovely and fresh and well packed for takeaway.

Popped in for lunch today and we were disappointed! Stunning handmade to order sushi that tasted gorgeous. We ordered number 33 (think it was the tiger mixed set). Although there was a 30 minute wait he did tell us so we popped to the beach and came back. Possibly the best sushi we have had to date! Staff were really friendly and we can't recommend Sushi & Roll enough!

Staff were polite, food was quick, quite expensive but sushi always is. Will definitely be going back again. First time I've had raw tuna and I've been missing out, loved it.
