The best restaurants serving Japanese food in England

They had fantastic customer survive and were bubbly and enthusiastic the entire time despite it being late in the day. Good so so good (but a little spicy for me)😮‍💨

Staff were so helpful and welcoming, and helped us choosing which sushi to order. The food was outstanding.....I think it's the best sushi I've eaten. Amazing presentation too....

Very nice foods here, particularly the bento and my son loves the bento too on the kids menu. Also my son loves the bubble tea and he made it with the staff help.😊 Very friendly staffs.

Unfortunately the restaurant did not honour their own lunch menu as stated on their website on our visit today. Despite me checking that they were serving lunch, and showing the waitress the lunch menu on their website. When the bill came, we were charged evening menu prices. The waitress was not keen to resolve the issue, doubled down and insisted the website was only for takeaway orders. It clearly says dine in. Poor service and misleading for customers. Such a shame.

Had a lovely meal here as always. Bill did not contain the expected £14.95 offer but the waitress honoured this on our request. Much appreciated - Thank You!

Such a lovely meal as always! Food is consistently delicious, we sat outside for given blankets and the heaters were fab! Staff are wonderful here so polite and smiley, daisy was absolutely amazing so friendly and made our visit!

We are eat here for the first time for my husband’s birthday meal, the price good, the food wasn’t too bad but the service were not impressed at all. Never been asked by staff if everything ok and we have to always looking for someone to asked for extra while staff pulled unhappy face at the table. The seafood ramen look terrible with no taste and with carrots and courgette which I never experienced that before. However my husband didn’t mind as he can’t be bothered to wait or speak to someone.

This is my favourite restaurant in Oxford. I go all the time and I love to bring our friends when they come to visit and they always enjoy it as well. The food is wonderfully homely and leaves you feeling great after a meal here. It's delicious and affordable and it's my go to after-work food delivery (I go for the beef bento box). When we go in person, we go for sushi and it is divine. There is such good quality and variety. Honestly, I just love this restaurant and I would recommend it to anyone.

The food was delicious, varied and a good selection of vegetarian options for the vegetarian in our group. Good value for money and a big size portion.

Sadly it has changed since we went here last. We ordered the chefs special- which a year ago was very ‘special’ but now was only just ok. The wait staff was kind but felt a bit like they just weren’t really too bothered - The server didn’t know what all the pieces on the board were and tried to blag it a bit- but when asked a bit further he said ‘I don’t know, did my best’ considering it’s a ‘chef’s special’, we don’t know what’s on there, so you’d expect to be informed. It’s totally ok to forget or not know but go ask chef and let us know. We had to ask twice for soy sauce, wasabi and ginger after the sushi arrived. Once we were told there wasn’t any ginger, but then there was. Sadly, I don’t think I’d go back as primarily the sushi just wasn’t that exciting or tasty and the tuna tekka maki tasted old. Plus pictures from last time showed we got half as much miso soup as before. The veggie tempura was great though! However, overall don’t think we’d go back.

A ridiculously long wait for a small order with no apology from the restaurant or delivery driver (almost 2 hours). Will not be ordering from here again.

I always walked by this place without looking in, but one day I tried it and it's now my favourite sushi place. The staff are always very polite and food arrives super quickly. It's reasonably priced and has never disappointed me yet!

Terrible waiting time, almost waited for 90 minutes for a prawn tempura roll!! It is terrible. Wasted my weekend on waiting a tempura roll. And the tempura roll is not good, the tempura is cold, the rice is loose, I don't know what I am waiting for. Terrible experience, never visit again.
