We got a takeaway for dinner and it was amazing. The sushi was really nice and fresh with amazing flavours. We also loved the katsu chicken curry. The yaki soba noodles were so delicious and fresh, and not greasy at all. Very good portion sizes, well worth the money. And the lady working there was really friendly. Would highly recommend.

The food is so disappointing..There's nothing Japanese about the vegetable ramen. No spring onion, sea weed.. just bland :(

Temaki contained mayonnaise which wasn’t mentioned in the product description or menu. Sushi was warm on arrival and small portions for the price.

Overpriced, warm and no chopsticks

Literally the best sushi ever! I’ve ordered from here so many times from my old address and I ordered again now I’ve moved. It’s so fresh and every time ! 1000% recommend!

Ordered from here a couple of times, unbelievable quality! Delivery takes a while but due to it being freshly made and the quality it is to be expected. Would highly recommend, the spicy prawn temaki and the katsu onigiri are next level!

But I haven't received anything yet. I'm still waiting for delivery.

Once I ordered the smoked salmon i had to edit my review. Delicious seaweed salad and prawn tempura roll. You get what you expect for a pretty inexpensive price I would say it’s worth it

Pro's - delivery bang on estimated time, very reasonably priced, great selection of excellently made, delicious tasting sushi (the tempura prawn handrolls are next level) along with generous amounts of condiments - really enjoyed absolutely all of the selection; 10/10 Con's - I have zero self control, so now I know this is a thing I'm going to be spending way too much on it

Would really suggest trying the Prawn tempura nigiri.

Really delicious food. As I’m vegan I got the tofu katsu curry and also tofu teriyaki, would recommend. Friendly service!

Perfect food every time, the lady we have met was extremely kind. We are regular customers and for good reason; a must try!

We tried this place on a visit to Hull, it was outstanding, there’s lots of options that we had to Google to see what they were and it’s all freshly made as it was still warm when delivered, there was a wait of an hour and a half for delivery so maybe order in advance, but it’s worth it. The delivery man was also very friendly and polite, although it’s a bit pricy it’s nice for a treat as a one off. Would definitely recommend.

First time trying this restaurant. The food was cold, the delivery driver practically chucked it through the door after over an hour and a half wait. The restaurant is only 12 minutes away so it’s a shame that this happened. Wouldn’t order again as there are better places to order.

Not the bed I ordered miso soup was bland had one taste and threw it in the bin.. also only had a tiny piece of tofu in which was way over done. Ordered chicken yakisoba not the best either. Bland in taste and not the best meal I’ve had

Ridiculously small portions. The sushi pieces are tiny and disgustingly warm. More than half of the plate that it came in was empty not worth the money at all they used to be bigger.

Really fresh, love that the balance between fish and rice is done right too. What a treat. One day I would love it if the owners would set up an eat-in Japanese restaurant. I'd live there.

Food is always absolutely incredible. we moved away for a while and couldn’t get decent sushi, as soon as we moved back to the area we were so happy to be back near Heiseiya thanks guys you did not disappointed.

On time, but very disappointed with the food. Also I ordered ginger which I didn’t get. Won’t be using again I’m afraid.

Rally good and fresh sushi. I had mixed seafood which comes with octopus, squid, shrimp and fish eggs. Also had salmon Maki and vegetable Maki which were really good! Whish there were more descriptions on the menu , so we ordered things we didn't know . But they turned out delicious

Tasty as always, unfortunately the restaurant didn’t get my order exactly right. Got two sets of tempura prawn maki instead of one of tempura prawn and one California rainbow set which was slightly annoying but not exactly unhappy about it since it’s all really nice and the same price. Additionally chopsticks were completely missed.

For past two months maki sushi starter to taste strange, aftertaste is like you ate not fresh food. Very sad, this is my favourite take away in Hull, but it’s getting bad each and every time I’m ordering from them

Warm sushi, I'm not an expert on sushi though I do really enjoy it. The selection of dishes seem well thought out with seemingly quality ingredients such as fish eggs, and I will give credit for the use of what appears to be real wasabi and generous sauce portions. So... I'm not quite sure what went wrong with our sushi order, but I have some ideas. To start, as much as this could be down to the Uber eats driver, the sushi arrived room temperature, or some parts warm. This made eating it so much more difficult, it's just hard to convince yourself to swallow raw seafood that is room temperature, and it doesn't help the taste. I'll report back if we start feeling unwell. Then, there's was the Nori, which was so chewy and tough - like leather - that the tamaki was barely edible. The texture of the fish and rice was lost to the green wrapping. I would also say all of the dishes we ordered suffered from dryness, the fish felt rubbery and dry along with the rest of the food. If this is purely because of the Ingredients, perhaps more needs to be done with sauces to make the menu work (dragon roll, and other sauce topped sushi comes to mind). In general the food just didn't seem right, I'm not sure if they used enough vinegar on the rice, perhaps we had a bad rice batch or some emergency non sashimi fish. Or maybe the sheer fact the food was warm is what killed it. As I write this, I'm also not so sure the fish eggs should be so common on the menu, as they could easily overpower the nuanced flavours in sushi. I'd be happy to try this place again, but would like some kind of explanation from the kitchen as to why this arrived so far below our expectations. Clearly a lot of people in Hull like this place.

Good but arrived late, it usually takes 1hr 30mins to come… so late is almost 2hrs and a shame that not all menu options were available but it was very tasty!

A bit late but I’m not even mad, on a bank holiday wasn’t expecting anything else. Additionally when I rang to enquire a lovely lady on the phone was really apologetic and extremely polite and helpful. Great quality food, everything tasty as always, cannot recommend enough!

Iv been dying to try this place for a while and I'm so glad I finally did! You guys dod not disappoint! The food was absolutely amazing, tasty, fresh and well presented... The delivery was a little late but the delivery time was shorter than I'd anticipated and given the road works on the route I received my order in an hour which is more than reasonable! The driver was courteous and polite couldn't fault the service or the food... I will definetly be back and recommending to friends and family 😊
