I won’t order sushi from anywhere else! I anlways get meal A. Always fresh tasty & just everything you’d expect. I’ve ordered a few other things from here too like hot food & mochi all lovely and fresh too!

Soooo good! Ordered to the hosptial for a sushi night with my mum whos in recovery and we eaten every last bit of it. Tasted very fresh, there was lots of fish in the combo sushi box, and the salt and pepper chips were amazing! Wish I lived in the centre now. Thank you.

Quality very poorly looks like 10y old child made sushi. Why you need to put that dry onions on all sushi? All sauces wasabi and ginger packed like in Asda which is for free. Never again :)

Vinimos para nuestra comida de aniversario anual ya que habíamos descubierto este lugar cuando buscamos Takoyaki en la ciudad (Este es el único lugar que lo hace en el casco) Esto no es necesariamente relevante para una revisión del lugar, pero las imágenes interiores son aparentemente de una dirección más antigua, ya que el edificio está más arriba en la calle y mucho más pequeño e íntimo. De hecho, me gustó bastante que fuera de esta manera, ya que se puede ver una sección de la cocina en el mostrador y desde donde estaba sentado, incluso podía ver en la cocina. También le dio un encanto pintoresco y pudimos hablar con la encantadora señora mayor que había preparado algunos de los platos para nosotros. Era encantadora. En fin, a la comida. Como era de esperar, ordené el Takoyaki, fue por supuesto, la razón por la que descubrí Sashimi en primer lugar. El Takoyaki aquí no solo es más barato que cuando lo he tenido en otro lugar (Fuera de la ciudad), sino que está allí con lo mejor que he tenido. También van por todas partes en las coberturas con un montón de salsa y copos bonitos que son una necesidad. También opté por los Chessy (Cheesy) rollitos de primavera de arroz que eran algo diferente. Estaban bien, nada de lo que escribir a casa pero tampoco estaba mal. Creo que un queso más fuerte o más tupido puede funcionar mejor. Luego terminé mi comida con los fideos especiales crujientes (menos el cerdo) y encontré una montaña de comida frente a mí. Los fideos crujientes eran divertidos, el pollo estaba tierno y las gambas eran muy sabrosas. Las verduras estaban perfectamente cocidas, suaves pero todavía con un ligero bocado. El tamaño de la porción principal también fue una porción muy generosa y abundante. Mi compañero pidió los rollos de salmón y queso Uramaki. Obtienes un número decente y son de un tamaño decente. Aunque no los probé yo mismo, le gustaron mucho (también nos ha llevado a pedirlos una semana después, más sobre eso al final de la reseña) Luego optó por el plato de arroz de anguila Unagi. Había probado Eel fuera de Hull it y se compara bien con un restaurante de bastante alta calidad en el que hemos estado. Lo mismo con la mayoría de los platos. El condimento fue bueno, la anguila se cocinó bien (Los trozos ahumados crujientes de la parrilla eran agradables) y como mi comida, era una gran porción con algunas verduras añadidas con el arroz. Un extra positivo es que mi pareja no tiene un apetito tan grande como yo, pero fue muy fácil pedir un medio de llevar la comida de repuesto con nosotros en lugar de dejar que se desperdicie. En cuanto a las bebidas, desearía que hubiera más opciones, ya que las opciones eran algo cortas. Sin embargo, tienen bebidas Ramune que son divertidas (Empujas en la parte superior y es algo en tendencia) con la sandía siendo la mejor de ellas. Sólo para volver a la orden una semana después. Mi pareja tenía antojos de Sushi y me encanta Takoyaki. Habíamos visto por comentarios en aquí y google que la entrega de pedidos ha tenido problemas. Pedí a través de la página web de los negocios (no aparece en aquí) y no tenía ningún problema. Estoy a más de un par de millas de distancia y llegó en poco más de 30 minutos, razonablemente cálido a caliente (especialmente dado el clima helado) y preparado, así como los platos que nos sirvieron en la mesa. Me sorprendió que llegara tan rápido como lo hizo honestamente. Supongo que han trabajado duro y han aceptado los comentarios y mejorado lo que les han dicho. En general, si fuera un poco más cerca, sin duda visitaría en persona más PERO pedir está perfectamente bien

The guy that answered the phone seemed completely unbothered and said it was still being prepared and blamed traffic! He said it could be more like 21:00 for delivery, i asked for 2 more auto updates from the restaurant which they ignored and the food was delivered at 21:20! Almost 3 hours after i ordered. The food was overcooked and the portion sizes seemed to be smaller than usual. Unacceptable waiting time and poor customer service and to be honest over priced!

Read the reviews and thought I'd try. Crispy beef was a bit soggy. Expensive. with a large menu I'm guessing some things could be than others better and I ordered wrong. the pho might be great. the egg noodles were good 👍

ordered beef Udon noodles, was hoping for a refreshing Japanese style but was more like fried Chinese mash up. delivery was delayed 3 times and an hour late. for the price not worth it but maybe I just had a bad experience.

My bad day was made much worse by ordering this takeaway. The ramen was abysmal and was very in keeping with a disappointing day.

My move to hull was disappointing because there was no Wagamamas. 3 years later and finding Sashimi I can’t actually decide which is the better restaurant! But for now I will continue to order because the food is perfect 🤩

The food was amazing but it took over 2 hours to arrive. We ended up calling the restaurant for an update after 90 and they gave us an estimate that they also missed by ~30 mins. The driver was extremely apologetic but, honestly, the food is so good (and was hot!) that I'd order again. Just please please please manage expectations a little better with delivery estimates in future!! 😁 Best wishes.

I ordered on the 6th which, after looking at other reviews, it looks like was a very expectedly busy day for these guys. Don't get me wrong, I understand places get busy but orders being minimum 45 minutes late (I think it could've been longer but I know for sure it was at least 45mins so don't want to just guess) then say the food had been delivered (not sure if this could be JE's fault) and finally call me to sat that one the dishes I ordered available... at least 40 minutes after I put the order in. To be honest, I probably won't be ordering again in a hurry. The food we did recieve was 'okay' at best. I really hope this was kind of a one off situation for the resturant, I can only imagine the chaos that must've ensued in the kitchen!

Took a chance on this takeaway, after reading reviews. Food arrived hot & on time, it had nice flavours & wasn’t greasy. We also got sushi, kimchi & edamame- sushi was just basic wouldn’t buy again, kimchi had great flavours but was a very small portion, edamame arrived already shelled, fresh but lacked seasoning. Expensive for portion size, so wouldn’t make it a regular choice.

The food was ok, but for the price it should have been excellent. Won't quibble about it being late, given the distance, but the fact you have to pay extra for soy and wasabi when the base dishes cost an extortionate amount to begin with is dreadful. There is a much better option available in Hull with respect to value for money, and I won't order from here again.

Best Japanese food we have had delivered, not cheap but the quality is good and very tasty. Will be our go too in the future xx

Really delicious meal, was at a loose end what to get for tea. Came here and ordered a Sushi set meal. It was amazing, delicious, massive pieces of sushi, good value for money. Will definitely come again!

Wow, what an experience! Amazing food. Simply stands out. Must try. Had ordered simple food like miso soup, gyoza and noodles. Everything was perfect.

Delicious and creative Japanese food. We ate at the restaurant with miso soup, clam and mushroom soup and sea salt Edamame (like broad beans not salty), then we ate from the Chef Special menu selection, Salmon Crunch Almond roll and Fuji Mountain roll which were both very tasty. The restaurant allows customers to bring wine, but we enjoyed the imported fizzy drinks. We will certainly visit again and recommend to anyone looking for a unique experience at great value.

Id wanted to go since it first opened in the original location a couple of doors up. Hate to say I was quite disappointed. Food was all very brown, missing a bit of the vibrancy I would of expected after reading all the glowing reviews. I did enjoy it, but wont be rushing back.

Probably, I say ... probably one of the most authentic and best Japanese food takeaways in the country. It's in an unexpected location next to Hull University. The service is quiet, polite and caring. We always order online and the food has never once, not been ready for collection at the selected time. It's not the cheapest takeaway, but sushi never is ... but it is one of the very best. 5* Food, created by a 5* chef for a 5* takeaway experience. If you have never tried sushi before, this would be THE place for your first expereince, you'll never look back. Order online, collect on time, eat ... simple and joyous.

Order arrived after 95 minutes, no apology was provided. The delivery person simply handed it to us and ran away. Didn’t answer phone when we tried to contact them regarding the order. Will NEVER use this place again.

I was disappointed that it was closed when we went there Saturday 22nd Jan, no clear indication as to why, but we ordered just eat from the car instead and picked up. The sushi is beautifully presented, and tasty. Orders the meal options.

The food is amazing. You cant sit in yet so it's worth ordering through the site or Just Eat but it's definitely worth ordering. The portion size is generous and well worth the money. This has just become one of my favourite places to eat

Second experience of this great eatery. As expected great food, although due to covid19 we could only do take out. Hopefully a sit down meal next time.

Got takeaway from here the other day. Everything was amazing apart from the ramen. The broth was too lite for my taste.

Regrettably, the food was not good and arrived late and with no apology. Small changes like using Japanese short grain style rice instead of a longer grain rice that resembles basmati would help and the Panko chicken arrived over cooked and very dry in parts to the point where the meat was indistinguishable as chicken but instead could have been very dry and dark thin beef/pork. We ordered the teriyaki special but the sauce was far from dark and sticky as you would expect a good teriyaki dish to have; instead sauce opaque and watery, obviously thickened with cornflour. I am not opposed to this but when you are paying just under £10 for one dish I would expect the quality too. Sadly, disappointed. Won’t be ordering again 😕

Been meaning to try for a year. miss sush,i was unsure if Hull could finally deliver. oh my word I was not disappointed. Collected platter f, even as a feast it could have fed 3 or 4. That's about £10 each. Magic exciting. Cant wait to order another platter service exemplary thank you delivered some much needed magic xxx

A fantastic Japanese restaurant.

We ordered sushi to be delivered on Saturday 13 Feb at 7.30pm, it hadn’t arrived by 8.10pm so we called to chase, and were told “the delivery driver is setting off in 10 mins “. We waited another half an hour until 20.40, we then called to chase again and were told exactly the same thing. “Setting off in 10 minutes.” The sushi finally arrived at 9.20pm, nearly 2 hours late!! There was also no chop sticks, only 1 wasabi for two sets, we ordered tuna dynamite set and received something else with crab sticks inside and no tuna. We were thinking maybe something would be sent complimentary in form of an apology but nothing! If it wasn’t for the fact that we had already paid for the food, we would have cancelled it much earlier, instead we were sat hungry waiting for nearly 2 hours with no apology. The overall experience was very disappointing, especially after we were given a recommendation to order from them.

The food is good but do not rely on delivery. Would recommend if you can pick up. Otherwise avoid. Over an hour late delivering on several occasions.

ordered a takeaway for collection. it was ready just after i arrived and was lookinn forward to it but the first thing i noticed was how light and small the containers were. my gyoza was over done and a but burnt and three very small dumplings in a container full of lettuce. the sushi was nice but very small portion for the price. in all i found it a nice meal but a little overpriced and needing a little more execution

I enjoy the food from Hull Sashimi, its always gorgeous however the service last night was shocking. I pre ordered for delivery at 8pm, it arrived closer to 10pm, don't take pre orders if you won't deliver them on time, or maybe turn off other orders until you're caught up, that's what we have always done in restaurants I've worked in. Numerous customers received food over 1.5 to 2 hours late last night despite preordering. I know it was a busy night but its just not good enough order management.

Ease of ordering from there website was OK however there is no option to pay via your bank card. Only PayPal or cash. If you don't have a paypal account it's a trip to the nearest cash machine which for most people nowadays can be a drive out, something you don't really want to do when ordering in. The whole point of delivery is for convenience and so you don't have to leave home. No stars for payment method. Food arrived 1.5hrs late but was still at an edible temperature. I'm willing to let the lateness go as its a Saturday evening and operating under the recent covid restrictions, meaning they will have been extremely busy on the delivery side of things. One star for warm food. The Delivery driver was nice and polite. He offered an apology for the lateness of the food. Couldn't fault him. One star given for delivery man. FOOD........ 😭😭😭 Massively over priced! The quality does not match the price tag. The portion size is beyond small. All the foil trays where filled less than half way. I'm not a big eater but had to do myself some toast after finishing my meal as there wasn't much at all. All the dishes where swimming in oil. It wasn't pleasent to eat and left a horrible slick in your mouth after eating. Use your go to Chinese takeaway better value for money and better portion size. Won't be going again.

I can't review the food as I never received it. Unfortunately, despite being given a google pin to the location and clear, multi-step instructions the driver was unable to locate us. The restaurant didn't let us know our order was cancelled, despite multiple attempts at contact until over 2 hours from delivery. We'd love to try again in the future as we love sashimi, but they may need to train their delivery drivers how to use Google maps or delivery instructions.

The sushi is amazing so tasty and fresh. Loved it. The ramen was ok. It was presented really well, big portion, plenty of toppings and the prawn tempura on the top was delicious but the ramen really lacked flavour and the soup was bland. Would return for the sushi and tempura but would not have the ramen again. Friendly and fast service too. Overall would recommended.

Very authentic Japanese restaurant, with attentive staff and friendly staff

The food here is amazing, probably some of the best Japanese food I've ever had in the whole of the UK. The food is consistently great and the wait is never long. There's a huge variety on the menu and the staff are always incredibly friendly and helpful. Although it's slightly expensive, I think it's definitely worth the money and I've never had a bad experience here, I'd definitely recommend coming here.

The service is brilliant - we always go straight from work for tea at 6ish, so never many in (maybe 6-8 people). Its very informal, the service is great and the food is the best sushi I've tried. It is a little pricey, but the food is so tasty and fresh its worth it. I look forward to eating here and trying different dishes.

Sashimi is one of those little gems, move too fast and you will miss it. But if you take some time to find it and if you are a true lover of sushi this is the place for you. The food is brilliant and the staff are so polite. They have their own sushi train and a large menu that has something for everyone. Everytime my friends and I go we over order, just because everything is so tasty and we have never left dissapointed. So give this place a go you won't regret it.

Me and my wife have had a take away from here a few times and it's always been nice. We decided to pop and sit in for a change and the food was even nicer than usual, a nice quick service but really tasty. The staff were friendly and the price was reasonable too. Based on our experience I would recommend people to go try this place out.

We went here for the first time tonight and the food, atmosphere and service was fantastic! Our bill came to just over £50. We got two of the sushi meals, prawn crispy noodles, katsu curry with rice, and 2 alcoholic drinks as well as Sake. It was all delicious and fresh! Would highly recommend. It was also our first time trying sushi, deeeelicious.

Arguably the best sushi you can find in Hull. Very extensive menu. I’m obsessed. I went from never having eaten sushi, to sushi becoming one of my favourite foods. Would highly recommended visiting, you won’t regret it.

Me and boyfriend love coming here for sushi, the food is lovely we have been twice Only thing I can fault is it’s quite expensive compared to your normal date night meal however it’s hard to find sushi cheap anywhere anyway Usual price around £50 for two drinks and a good platter If you like sushi this place is defiantly a go to!

Accueil vraiment sympa pourtant il était un peu tard. Service rapide et souriant. Les sushi étaient excellents et le poisson ultra frais. Très bonne soupe à base de légumes et soupe de ramen noodles chicken très bonne aussi. Si vous êtes à coté de l'University of Hull retenez cette adresse !!
