One of my favourite spots in Worthing, the ramen is amazing

Menu can be a bit intimidating if you're not familiar with this cuisine but staff are helpful. We didn't book but were lucky, so probably best to. Food was beautifully presented and served quickly. Very tasty, so nice for something different. Worth a visit 👌

The quality of the food more than makes up for the lack of atmosphere

The sushi is too complicated, loaded with sauces. Did not like the chef at all. The rice is mushy. It's not worth the money.

Always great food at Issa sushi whether it's dining in or take away. Such fresh ingredients and so delicious. I love all of the menu!! Can't get enough. Feel really lucky to have such a restaurant in Worthing. I think my favourite is the Worthing rolls and crispy duck rolls 😋 and the gyozas were yummy! Honestly can't praise them enough 💗

Great food we had the Kyoto set,Pad Thai, tempura and gyozas. I totally recommend.

I've honestly been looking for a massaman curry to compete with the one I had in New York over 2 years ago. At last, I've found one! It was insanely good. We tried the sashimi and a mix of other things, all were perfect. We'll definitely be back.

yea it's ok, sushis is mid, cuirries are nice, ashai on tap, service is OK, nothing terrible, just mnot amazing either. caters well for large parties

Ordered a takeaway...30 minutes after eating, I was taken very ill. Luckily I had only eaten a 3rd of what was delivered. I continued to be ill for the rest of the evening. I tried ringing the restaurant but the telephone number advertised came up as invalid so I emailed the restaurant. They did not respond. I emailed their sister restaurant they also did not reply. I had no expectations as I am a very reasonable person. However, I am disgusted that they could not be bothered to respond to me. I continued to have had a bad stomach for a week. Luckily, I am fit and healthy!

Least authentic ramen ive ever had. Egg was hardboiled and grey, chicken was tough and unusual selection of veg. Side orders were good however. Avoid the ramen as you will be let down if you have had decent ramen before.

Didn't even get to eat the food due to foul customer treatment, we booked for 7 they made us wait and tried to tell us we arrived early when we had not, they persisted to argue about what time we booked so we left and they slammed the door on our way out, totally disgusting attitude right from the beginning to end, places like this deserve no business and have no place in worthing, totally shameful. We proceeded to have a wonderful meal out round the corner with no waiting times.

Excellent authentic food. A proper restaurant, not just a pop-up in a shopping centre.

Fantastic evening meal. First time visiting for me following a recommendation. I enjoyed their Kyoto set (sushi selection) which was presented on a wooden boat! My wife also enjoyed a Vegetarian Bento box. 4 star atmosphere rating only because it wasn't particularly busy for a Saturday evening. Definitely going to visit again - keen to try their noodle dishes.

Lovely curry and kimchi, not entirely sure why we couldn't order Prosecco when the table nearby got some 30 mins later ... but the wine was good!

We ordered Sushi through deliveroo today and due to a technical error, part of the order was wrong. Mark at the Worthing branch, to whom I spoke to was very helpful and delivered the correct order himself. Customer care and the food was excellent. Thank you.

Came for lunch, having just moved to the area. We ordered two bento boxes, which contained an assortment of Thai mains/starters, and a sushi tapas. Everything was well-presented, tasty and good value for lunch. Service was a little slow because they were a bit stretched, but they apologised for this. Place had a nice, busy atmosphere on a Saturday afternoon. Will definitely be back.

My favourite Kyoto set. Yummm! Happy with the food however one of new waiter very rude and lound and no maner. She was thinking we are Filipino. I don't know if I was and then what🤷‍♀️. Are you treated people differently. I was shocked with her behaviour!

Ordered via Uber and restaurant called me to say they couldn’t fulfill our order and told me I needed to cancel via the app. I cancelled via the app and was still charged and Uber won’t refund me. I called the restaurant and they refused to give me a refund despite not being able to fulfill my order. Disgusting service and robbery.

Absolutely delicious food. Had Bento #2 (Thai red curry chicken, spring roll, white rice) which was filling and very tasty.

Absolutely ridiculous how amazing this place is, an absolute hidden gem! My partner and I went there for our anniversary and the place exceeded our expectations. This is hands down the best sushi I’ve had in the UK and the portions were huge! On top of that, it is such an amazing value for money, our waitress was so attentive, sweet and helpful (I think her name was Sandy) and the atmosphere was perfect. We plan to become regulars.

We have always had good service, but tonight the driver turned up with cold Miso Soup etc. It appears he'd been parked up in Carnforth RD for an hour. No dinner and my husband won't get a refund for 3 weeks! Was going to order from you on Thursday, but after this evenings experience, can't guarantee the delivery!

We popped in ad hoc and recorded a warm welcome, prompt service, and amazing food that was really good value. Kids and adults reach loved their dishes - a rare feat. Perfect!

Excellent food, very kind staff, and filled to the brim with ambience. From sushi to gyoza to yaki udon to terriaki chicken bento, it is all top notch!

A fantastic restaurant, we have just discovered this little gem. The food is fresh tasty and wonderfully presented. The value is phenomenal for such quality. We highly recommend it here. My mum bought the kids here in half term, they loved it, as do I. Also great friendly service.

Just went here for the 1st time for lunch and absolutely hands down best sushi experience we have had for ages, reasonable price with good quality and quantity of food, we had sashimi boat and another recomended share plate which was brilliant with all sorts of stuff going on. Will definitely be going back.. Thankyou

We had booked a table for a group of us from work as we had been here before and had a great time. Today was exactly the same. Great service, great food and a great atmosphere. There were so many clean plates and happy diners in our group. We left feeling full, and very satisfied.

First visit my son loves sushi and had the Raman and dragon rolls which was super tasty I had the chow mein and chicken rolls we way over ordered so took the rest home for lunch yum we will return

We have gone there a few times and food is always nice, service is good too. I had the aubergine and eel last night, amazing flavour.

Evening meal. Didn’t book but we were out and about early so it wasn’t busy. We ordered the squid, gyozas, Worthing rolls and the spider rolls all to share. They were delicious. Nothing not to like. Highly recommend visiting here.

We often go there. Food is nice, staff are nice. Not only Japanese dishes, there are lots of Thai dishes as well :)

I ordered a takeaway from Deliveroo, whilst eating my Pad Thai I bit down on something hard thinking i'd chipped my tooth, as I spat it out I realized it was a staple in my food. The staple was open, if if were to have swallowed it it could have been a very dangerous situation. When calling the restaurant to complain, I got a quick sorry and then was told to complain on Deliveroo and then they hung up. They use staples to attach not delivery notes and to close the bags on takeaways - there is clearly not enough care happening to make sure this doesn't get into the food. I'm a regular customer here in the restaurant and takeaway but will not be returning

We have never eaten in, only got take aways. I can safely say they create some of the best Sushi and Sashimi I have ever eaten! (anywhere in the world - I've never been to Japan but have been to other parts of the far east and elsewhere). We live a bit out in the sticks, so we save driving to Worthing for a take away as an extra special treat, and get all excited about their food for ages beforehand. it's just SO delicious! Their fish is so fresh and I love how they add different garnishes to their Dom bowls every time.. and so many at once. And the way they so carefully prepare all.. it's mind blowing. I had never tried (or heard of, embarrassingly) Shiso leaves until they were in front of me and so I looked them up and was so thrilled to discover all. (and they were lush!).. and, as I say, every time the garnish is different and so so varied and numerous. This evening they garnished with pickled mushrooms and avocado and parsley and much more... every time it is a surprise and so inspiring. I can't comment on service because I've never eaten in, but it can sometimes be hard to get through on the phone - I think that's just because everyone is busy though! I really love the food Issa create. Also they add miso soups to their take away orders which never ceases to amaze me! They are delicious and very much appreciated. Thank you Issa <3

My partner and I have only had take aways (many! over the years) and we are always completely bowled over by Issa's beautiful food. It is not only utterly delicious and very fresh, but so well presented. I love how they always add a variety of vegetables to the Dom bowls.. always something different, and always so many different things together. Embarrassingly, I had never tried (or heard of) shiso leaves until they were in front of me... they were a revelation. Also the way Issa so carefully and precisely cut vegetables to go into some of their rolls.. the way they present all and go over and above.... we are always left feeling that we have not only had the chance to eat fabulous food but food into which much care has been given. I have never been to Japan, but I have been lucky enough to travel to a lot of the world and I can safely say that they make the best sushi my partner and I have ever eaten anywhere,. Including 'posh' restaurants in London etc. My only criticism (although it isn't one really) is that they could do with not using any mayo type sauces in some of their rolls, but I think they probably do that to suit our dodgy british taste! And the antithesis to this is how they always add miso soups to any take away order (I dont know about dining in) - this is such an exceptional addition and so lovely. Thank you Issa for enlivening our lives! We really look forward to eating your food and plan doing so for ages in advance ;-)

i ordered chicken Katsu it’s was good not bad but not perfect there is better places who served better one . the restaurant in general is good even the decoration you will feel like you are in Asia . the waitress need courses for customer service The portion is small and not enough for one person the price for my portion and Coca-Cola cost 16,25£ .

What a beautiful place. My friends and I visited Issa sushi in Worthing last night and we had a delightful experience. The service was excellent, starting with a warm welcome from the lovely receptionist who sat us down in time and gave us a really nice table. Food was amazing, same as our server. It was a buzzy Saturday atmosphere on a weekday and we very much enjoyed it. Definitely will come back. Thank you for the great time.

My son loves sushi so we spent our lunch here. I love their Thai curry with coconut milk with great selections. They have massive noodles 🍜 per serving. Prompt staff but always busy. Setting is quite tight because of small space, but overall, it is a good place to dine in.

I with my wife and daughter had a great meal at Issa, really tasty food very well presented and served. We will return again and we didn't experience anything to leave a bad review.

I came here for lunch on my own on the 8/04/23. I had the Hibaebi Kakiage Don which was delicious but the service was Disgusting! I was initially seated by someone which was ok, The another waitress literally threw my knife and fork down, not even the right way up, no chopsticks, which I always eat with because I like it. It looked as if I did something to her, so rude, disrespectful and if I wasn't writing a workshop on Jai Yen (meaning cool heart in Thai) for a Muay Thai gym I train in, I would have struggled not to say what I thought loudly and made a massive scene. Literally the worst service I have had in a long time. I used to run kitchen franchises and I love Asian cuisine, hence me coming here. I wanted to try it before I brought my daughter as we are both fans of sushi, really dont know now. I gave my compliments to the chefs though as they were ace, and the food good, and they returned only smiles and good vibes. Shame that the service really lets this place down, otherwise it would be a winner.

Compared to the last time we had sushi, different establishment, this was a whole different level and would recommend. Sadly we live in London so it'll be quite a while before we will be back this way to try it again

The service at this place was so so poor! The waiter got argumentative when I asked for my receipt. He was hesitant to give me my receipt despite me asking it several times. If this is how the management train their staffs then it is absolutely shocking! Service is as important as the food! If the service is poor then the overall experience is poor. Rude waiters who simply didn't care the service that their customers were getting!!!

We'd been meaning to check out Issa for a while, and a firned coming into town was the excuse we needed. We booked in advance, via phone as unfortunately no online booking option, and I'm glad we booked as it appeared pretty busy on a Saturday night. The decor is fun, and the location very central in Worthing. To eat we had salmon nigiri (tasy and well made), the Worthing Roll (delicious), and then I had chicken red Thai curry with rice, which was great. My friend had a sushi selection which came on a boat, and my other half had the chicken katsu. The chicken katsu was a little small, but the flavours were good. My chicken curry was delicious, though not spicy at all, considering it was marked as spicy on the menu. All in all the price was very reasonable, food quality great both for Japanese and Thai dishes, and it is somewhere I would happily visit again.

They are closed way too often, which is very frustrating; However, if you are lucky enough to catch them when they’re open, you are in for a treat! The sushi is top grade, everything is incredibly fresh and tasty. The service was phenomenal!! I didn’t catch her name but the beautiful Thai girl is incredible, she represents the place as if it were her family’s. This is a 5 star restaurant!!

I am a home cook and I am very fussy about my seafood, but this place made perfect tempura, and the katsu curry was wery nice with the sticky rice the chicken was a little dry but still tasty hence the 4 start on food, but I would definitely recommend and go back again.

Disinterested service. The lady who served tday (10/3/2023) was not really interested. She was even speaking to me with her back to me! My duck springroll had a bone which I very nearly swallowed. I was looking forward to a gin and tonic with my meal. But the only spirits you had wereJack Daniels and Bacardi. The chicken was tough. But my biggest complaint was the completely disinerested service. You should only employ people who actually like their job.

Stumbled across this gem after watching a film at The Dome. Me and my daughter both said it’s the best sushi we’ve ever had. Excellent!

King crab Ramen was absolutely incredible, but I like king crab and the portion was very good indeed
