Sachi in City of London, Westminster

The waiter spilled drinks on my friend’s coat ruining it completely, after emailing the restaurant they simply stopped replying and accused us of lying as they couldn’t ‘prove’ that this was the case.. Ignorant management

My friend hosted a large private dinner which was all going fine until the waiter spilled 2 espresso martinis on my coat and jacket, which were completely destroyed. I was frustrated but didn’t want to ruin the party so just went home and brought the garments to the dry cleaners. December coincided with the Christmas period, so I only found out abut the damage this caused and the price for the clean in January when I reached out to the restaurant who was completely ignorant of my problem and denied any responsibility, confirming that none of the waiters who worked on the evening remember the accident and that CCTV footage has been already deleted. Awful experience, now I have to pay more than the price of the whole dining experience to get my coat and jacket fixed and I didn’t even get a proper apology or compensation from the restaurant.

Pricey but lovely food, staff and music! The interior is pretty and gives off chill vibes. Nice place!

Excellent nigiri and maki, poor tempura and monkfish. Nice atmosphere. Overpriced for what you get, in line with most ‘upmarket’ japanese places in London.

Although I enjoyed my dinner here, it is very expensive. It was half empty and I cannot not see why it’s so empty. Too expensive for what it is.

A restaurant where you can eat delicious Japanese food and sushi in the heart of London. I used it with a few friends at night. The building has a white exterior. Stands out with club-like lighting As you go down to the basement, you will find a spacious and nice store. There is a counter, table and bar. Looks like there's a hidden safe as well. Sashimi, sushi, grilled fish, meat and I ordered a lot of things and shared them. They are all delicious The miso soup is also comforting and delicious. Since I came overseas, I continued to eat non-Japanese food. I felt relieved Looks beautiful too Each item comes out elegantly. One of the hostesses is rude, disrespectful and could not deal in a professional way with me while I was discussing why I got declined entering to from a certain gate (cafe and restaurant issues). She could have dealt with it in a professional way and deescalated. However she choose to escalate it and then raised her voice telling to get out? On what bases? This is very discriminatory and disrespectful. I did not raise my voice but still she choose to escalate the situation. Very discriminative and unprofessional way to deal with costumers. The hostess name is Elenora she even offered to spell her name for me. Very impolite.

Great place for a celebratory dinner! Sushi was superb quality (we got the chef's selection) and dishes were overall excellent, however it feels a tad overpriced for what it is. Dessert of apricot brioche with creme brulee rice pudding was stunning though. Not sure if I would return for dinner but perhaps their lunch set may be better value for money.

Sensational food Impeccable service

We had dinner here and we’re very pleased to have a fantastic service. The food is ok, nothing special to be honest and not worth the high prices. We ordered the rib eye robata for example and that looked / tasted like a normal pan fried steak. Wagyu croquettes- not much taste and quite expensive. The sashimi was outstanding however. £200+ and we didn’t even drink alcohol (2 people).

The service was very slow, the dishes we were recommended ended up being very smelly fish that we were unable to eat.

I am a big foodie and have travelled all around the world to hunt for the best eateries. I can safely say Sachi is on my top 10 best eats. The specific dish that made me shortlist Sachi is the dessert. The dessert in question was the brioche with rice pudding and jasmine tea ice cream. I literally saw god when I ate this. It’s the most delectable, pleasurable and innovative dish ever. The mains I got that also were 10/10 was the sliced ribeye, sushi rolls and poldren peppers. All to die for, all cooked to perfection and served with love. The chefs of course deserve my kudos and gratitude for making our meal. A sincere thank you from me and my partner. We had a tough week due to personal reasons and this made it bearable. There is some serious talent in the Sachi kitchen. My final comment is how awesome the staff are. They are very attentive, passionate and indeed interesting people! I enjoyed their personalities immensely! They were not the bog standard boring servers, they had charisma and charm. Our waiter (I regret not asking his name but he was a handsome Blondie gentleman with a foreign accent) was knowledgeable about the menu and made sure we were happy with everything. He was top class. As was the other very blonde waitress and dark haired manager. Brilliant experience here, I will shut up now.. will most definitely be back. Thanks again! Xx

Came for the lunch menu which is quite good value but think that they don’t do it anymore. Food quite good quality. Restaurant is quiet on a Sunday lunchtime.

The food here is absolutely incredible. The dishes not only taste heavenly but are also beautifully presented. The staff are top-notch too. The service was attentive, but not stuffy or formal.

The 5 star rating goes to the 2 champions of the house. First, I was taken care of by Yava. She role-models the service delivery you expect to have in such a nice restaurant, catering to every need with attention to details and big smiles everytime! The second champion was the dessert I had, vanilla rice pudding with warm apple brioche and caramel sauce. After 5 dishes I ate, it still got the eye widening effect after the first bite! Every element tastes so delish so you can have it separately. The brioche was done so well, crispy and caramelized on the outer layers, and soft inside layered with apple pieces, caramel sauce was divine!!! The rice pudding was perfectly mild-sweet. The nuance flavour and cold element was so addictive! Best dessert I had in a long long time. Thank you for a wonderful experience!

Superb and serene. Great service. We came in on a Monday for lunch. Had our pick of tables. Sushi with a twist but with great technical undertones. They also gave us an anniversary surprise. Super classy spot.

Gorgeous place. The food was hit and miss. Had to send the octopus back due to it being tough and chewy. The wagyu on the other hand was great. The service is passable. Busy, spinning staff. Wouldn't return.

I am so disappointed that I won’t give 1 star because the of the building… Hostess was ok although he almost passed people in front of me for absolutely no reason. Me and my friends went to Sachi first; The waitress kept pushing water even though we were ordering bottles of wine, at some point bringing and opening a bottle of water we didn’t even want to but whatever we decided to go with it… she took a long time to come back to take our food order after we said we were ready and on our 2nd bottle of wine. Food came fast. Wagyu tataki was good but trout tartare came with crisps that was impossible to eat. I’d kindly recommend to the head chef review this as it’s a very difficult dish to eat all together but the flavours are spectacular! All sushi was great, eel, tuna, yellow tail.. shout out to mushroom one! Amazing! Sadly my 2 stars go all to service. First we were informed that we had some options of dessert for my friends bday… and when ordered they have simply ran out… I guess for a restaurant charging so much, you’d should be better prepared? 13.5% service charge and the waiter at the roof top after dinner, dropped half of a bottle of wine on my dress while was serving the first glass… the I asked to have a new bottle, he was distressed and had to speak to his manager about it and we were waiting for about 30-40 minutes to be served after spending almost £300 at the restaurant and £60 in a bottle of wine dropped on my dress. Food is good but service was HORRIBLE.

Had lunch on the Terrace. Food was very good. Had the chefs selection sushi, duck and Skate. All extremely fresh, tasty and seasoned perfectly. We had Reisling for wine which was amazing. The restaurant itself is stunning, very chilled and Terrace is very comfortable. Service was good when we were attended to but waiters were not very attentive today and not just our table. Many around us I noticed were looking for a while before the caught the waiters attention. I would give the place another try given the food was good but if the service was the same again, that would be the last.

Excellent selection of sashimi , amazing fresh wasabi!

Fabulous experience. Nigiri was fresh and simply delicious (especially the fatty tuna). Staff were very tactful and not annoying, approaching our table exactly when needed. The restaurant is aesthetically pleasing and as a person who pays attention to the lighting (I can’t stand strong lights which make me wanna leave ASAP) I must say I felt really comfortable there and had a great time.

The decorations are fantastic! And it’s good to enjoy the sunshine at the terrace in summertime. Although there are not too many choices of the food, what we ordered were tasty. Drinks are a bit pricy.

Sachi is the restaurant on the bottom floor of Pantechnicon. It’s a lovely ambient Japanese restaurant. Service was a little slower than I would have liked, but the food was (mostly) excellent. We ordered the beef/steak which was average. Wouldn’t order that again. The sashimi was delicious and I particularly enjoyed the miso aubergine.

I had dinner on Father's Day and everything I have had for dinner has been spectacular. The unbeatable service and the beautiful atmosphere.

Location and service is good, however, the food was very disappointing. very limited sushi choices and didn’t taste great. have had MUCH better sushi in other places in London.

Yava was attentive, always had a warm welcoming smile, made sure we were familiar with the menu and made customs recommendations. It was all fantastic.

We had a great lunch at Sachi with tasty food and friendly, attentive service. We especially loved the miso soup, the duck—which was perfectly cooked—and the seasonal vegetable tempura, which included some delicious enoki tempura. We definitely recommend visiting if you’re in the area.

I’ve came here for the third time and I can say the service is absolutely impeccable every time. The food is a bit pricey, but quality is great, so worth it!

Came for lunch for my partners birthday, and was served by the wonderful Yava. The atmosphere is lovely, the music is great, the decor is lovely and it feels so private and cosy while still being extremely elegant. The food was absolutely delicious - we had the pb and regular lunch omakase which was a great mix of flavours and dishes. Could not have asked for a better meal experience, thank you so much to Yava and team, we had an amazing time!!

Great food, we loved all our dishes. We took 2 of our own wine bottles for our special gathering and called them in advance to confirm their corkage fee, we waited on hold for awhile so the receptionist could check it with the manager and we were told it was £35 per bottle. We turned up and the female sommelier insisted it’s £45 per bottle and completely ignored our earlier confirmation. Kept on saying “£45 ok? Ok?”. Why would you not go and check with the manager who said a different price to us instead of the take it or leave it attitude. We had no choice but to accept but after her opening the first bottle nobody came back to change our wine glasses or pour after the first pour. They should honour what they tell their customers and better manners from sommelier would have helped also.

Amazing Japanese- great place to take out of towners

I ended up in this beautiful place by chance... in fact the starred restaurant where I had booked didn't have a menu for peanut intolerants like me! 😳 The place is very nice, the food is very fresh and excellent, the service is perfect and excellent cocktails prepared with entertaining skill by a very good barman.

Very good overall. Interesting flavours. I think we over ordered but hay has that never happened before. We left happy.

By far the best Japanese in London! The presentation and quality of food was amazing. Service was impeccable with the right ambiance.

Had the set menu. It was my birthday dinner. Every dish was tasty especially the misu aubergine for me. Cocktails amazing. Staff recommended the matcha cocktail for me after dessert. I really liked it but if matcha is not your favourite there are other drinks to choose from.

The sushi is okay, the grilled chicken meatballs, chicken breast, and pork are not good, but the grilled miso salmon is okay.

Went for NY dinner, having been to Sachi a few times in the past and having enjoyed it previously. Sadly, last night was disappointing. We got seated at our table 20 mins later than our booking time. Given that tables are yours for 2hrs, this led to all our dishes being rushed out to us to the point where we had a mix of dishes on the table more akin to a tapas place...having been here in the past, this is not the typical speed at which food is brought out. We also got charged £7 for what was clearly tap water, which we found a bit hilarious. Food was good overall, albeit a bit expensive for the dishes on the set menu (which had to be shared at the table). One would assume that NY is a big enough occasion to plan ahead for it and they certainly did not do that. They could not manage the influx of guests and one of the two people at the front desk was literally on their first day and had no idea how to find guests' coats or how to navigate the booking system. Overall, it felt like a rush to get people out so they can bring people in and, given the price, it leaves you feeling unwelcome. Not at all what we expected.

Superb service in a trendy building and environment. However, the food is average at best, and for the price, below average. Classic case of trying too hard and there are better choices. Overall disappointing experience. The roof bar and Nordic restaurant seem to be a better choice if going here.

Good food , amazing presentation. The Tempura is on a league of its own. The service is impeccable and very attentive. The desserts were out of this world. The Jasmine Tea ice-cream was so authentic and on point, full of flavour. The apple brioche was simply superb. Have to go back for more .. Well done chef Collin!

Firstly, the decor is outstanding. Really loved the vibe - some would argue its a little too dark but it was fine with me. On to the food, it was all very good, wagyu beef was great, the vegetarian sushi roll was probably the best veg sushi roll I have personally had. The pork was also delicious. The only thing that slightly stopped me from giving it a 5/5 is the other sushi rolls we had were good but not amazing. Overall, had a good time and would visit again.

Absolutely loved this spot! Really high quality food, nice original cocktails and the setting and ambience is perfect. It felt cozy, private and relaxed. We had a few nigiris, with a mushroom roll maki and some other bits. Both the tuna and hamachi options are amazing choices. The service was really nice also, the lady that look after us was really kind and caring. Worth visiting on a special night out. (Hard to take good pictures because it was dark, that’s on us)

15-10-2022 Japanese cuisine has to be one of my favourites. Sachi tries its best to add flair to simple dishes (e.g., their aubergine dish comes to mind). My experience was poor due to the service - food would come out as and when they were ready, so don't expect any organisation. We waited nearly 30 mins for vegetable tempura. Service was good, except for one of the managers. A young Frenchman who has no right to be in the service industry with his awful attitude. The night was saved when the floor manager gave us a full refund and apologised for his attitude. Lovely decor, a perfect mix of Japanese and Scandinavian design. Prices were reasonable considering location and quality of food. Value - 3.7/5 Service - 2.5/5 Decor - 4.8/5 Recommend - 1/5

It is somewhat discouraging when you see the lack of actual knowledge from most of the people reviewing in Google. Maybe they care about the bill more than about the food. Because Sachi is at best an average Japanese. Greasy Tempura, very average service, indecently bad tuna tataki , average wagyu and decent (but not fantastic) sashimi (with a basic need of improvement in the Toro). The best thing by far is the Sake selection….

Food was good but unfortunately experience was not great. We were suggested a number of dishes and despite dietary requirements almost none of the dishes were suitable. We were given too much service at the beginning which was overwhelming but despite this many asked (ie special occasion, drinks orders) were forgotten. Service was not worth the 13.5%.

We had a great experience! We sat in one of the booths which was very comfy. The sashimi is very fresh and great quality. Staff were great and the cocktails were delicious. Definitely recommend!

Absolutely top quality sashimi, sushi and other variations hot dishes. Definitely one of the best sushi experiences I’ve had in London. Everything was absolutely fresh, there was some real innovative flavours and ways to cook the food as well as staple traditional options too. Staff were amazing from start to finish and we were guided helpfully on both, food, sake & cocktail options. The venue is also really nice and aesthetically pleasing.

Stunning place. One if the best Japanese in London . Not cheap but worth every penny. Maki and Tempura are amazing. Great wine and sake choice. They have great orange wines for those , who understands.... Highly recommended!!!

This restaurant has become one of our absolute favourite spots to visit. Especially delicious meal tonight, and incredible service as always. All the waiting team seem to get on very well and it creates a five star atmosphere. Special thanks to Adrienne for the introduction to the Yuzu Sake.

Basement floor Japanese Restaurant. A must try! Food is fabulous and you can’t get enough of it! You should have a coctail at the Roof and head straight to the basement!

Some of the best sushi I had in London. Fish was the freshest and most succulent. We ordered chef's selection nigiri as well as some extra fatty tuna from the main and from specials menu. Additionally we went for scallops, crispy monkfish, aubergine and miso soup. Everything was delicious - my highlights were scallops, aubergine and sushi of course. Miso soup was okay, that's the only thing I wouldn't go for again. We finished it off with desserts, which I expected to be tiny. They were amazing and actually pretty decent in size, so that made us completely full. The staff were lovely, polite and helpful. It ended up being quite pricy, but absolutely worth it. A perfect place for a special occasion or a date.

Honestly best Japanese food I’ve had so far in London. 100% recommend.

The restaurant is located at the based of Pantechnicon in a very nice pedestrian zone. There is a waiting lounge with the cocktail bar, the main hall will the sushi table as well as semi-private rooms carved in the walls. The interior is nicely designed, has a Japanese flair and is welcoming. The menu is just right, having options that would keep everyone happy and with a clear focus on sushi universe. We liked everything we tried and absolutely loved the trout makis and the asparagus rolls. There is a list of signature cocktails as well as a comprehensive wine and sake list. The staff was professional, knowledgeable and lovely. The sommelier was extremely knowledgeable and we loved the interaction with her and her tips. The restaurant offers a nice experience but on the downside is extra pricey. Recommended.
