The best restaurants serving Italian food in England

I absolutely love dining at The Rising Sun and have quite a few times. I have always had amazing service (big reason I am a returning customer) and obviously the food is fantastic. I am from Canada and the one thing that drives me crazy about the UK is the slow service. That is not an issue at the Rising Sun, I feel right at home and it is a breath of fresh air. Recently, I have had the absolute pleasure of having Beth as a server (twice now) and I only want to be served by her moving forward. Every single staff member there is BEYOND lovely and would be delighted to be served by them, but Beth definitely stands out for me. I have worked in the hospitality industry for 12 years now and it’s people like Beth who make people’s dining experience 10/10. She goes the extra mile to make sure her guests are comfortable and have the best experience possible. Being served by Beth feels like being hosted by a friend not just another server. I hope everyone gets to experience the amazing service she offers. Very happy the Rising Sun hired her she is definitely an asset to their team :)

Had lovely meal for my mam's 80th more special when staff sang happy birthday to her. Definitely be going back

Went for a meal, menu changed from our last visit, vegetarian choice not good and run out of lots of things on menu, so we left

Waitress was brilliant as we had my young 17 month old with us, very kind and helpful! Food was excellent too especially the Pizza Romano. Would definitely recommend especially if you’ve got children. 5 stars

Smallest size Cornflake tart! not worth my hard earned money at all !

A party of 20 for a special birthday family celebration. Booked in advance. Sent orders in advance. What a shambles. Service was slow and poor, food came out with long periods between each diners meal resulting in some sitting for ages waiting for their food whilst others finished theirs. . Food was awful except pizzas and garlic breads and salad. Manager was uncooperative when discussing issues. When food was sent back it was recooked not replaced. Atmosphere was flat. Not recommended.

Went in to get a travel mug, priced at 13.50 on the shelf and the till wanted to charge me 14. Not a big deal but staff said they can’t adjust. 1 star just to get them to notice this and check their pricing and make sure that their on floor pricing matches the till pricing.

Really fabulous proper Italian pizzas. Thin, crispy, tasty! I’m not a huge pizza fan as they’ve got to be like Italian ones. These are the real deal

Visited on a rather busy Sunday. We were very impressed with service and food. One vegan, one meat Eater and we were both throughly satisfied. Food was hot, full of flavour and served quicker than expected, considering how busy it was. Our server was prompt and attentive. Really can not fault them. Only thing to let the atmosphere down a bit was a big table of obnoxious people talking so loudly to each other my partner and I couldn't hear each other.

I ordered my takeaway from here and I'm not happy as I paid £40.44 I had a pizza but my other items were wrong and I asked for a Ben's & jerry ice cream and I ended up with 4 small doughnuts and they were frozen and I asked for a pepsi max and instead they gave me pepsi and on the website on just eat it didn't say my items were not available.

I took my daughter and grandchildren for a treat of a pudding and a drink on Tuesday, it brightened up a miserable rainy day. The Manager in the Thame branch was extremely accommodating and pleasant.

Nous avons eu l'audace d'aller dans cet endroit afin de prendre un "tea time" avec un cheesecake. Nous avons demandé les prix pour un thé sur place car cela différe du "take away". Le serveur nous a clairement éconduit de manière incorrecte en nous disant qu'il ne connaissait pas exactement les prix mais que de toutes façons, c'était plus cher. Ok. Ensuite, ma compagne lui a dit que nous allons prendre une part de gâteau à emporter, il est parti en plein milieu de la phrase et nous a ignoré. Nous sommes donc partis. Traiter les gens de cette façons esy inadmissible et ne reflète en rien l'accueil britannique je tiens à le préciser. Cet établissement est une véritable honte pour la ville, sincèrement.

If you are staying at the Holiday Inn or anywhere close, you have to try Marco’s, great value, excellent food piping hot and fresh and extremely friendly hosts. Special thanks to Bow, Bedana, Mandy, Lala and Peach.

This location is my go to pizza spot. They make the best afghan style pizza. Definitely worth. Clean and tasty. I personally have not gotten it delivered always collected it so it’s always been hot.
