Prezzo - Newmarket in Forest Heath

I wasn't satisfied, one day they didn't clean our room, the other day they made up my children's beds but not ours. Staff at reception not welcoming, particularly one who didn't want to do his job. So we won't go to that hotel then.

Horrendous service! The room stank of cigarettes and the window seal was full of ash. Receptionist was very rude. In the morning of the check out there was no one at the reception! I had to borrow a piece of paper from the waiter and left a note behind the desk. Horrible experience, will never come back!

My wife and I have travelled around the UK for work for over 30 years. This is the first hotel room that has decent lighting. It was beautifully lit across the room. We had a pemiere room on the third floor and it was so well work the extra money. We also had both dinner and breakfast in the hotel. Dinner was on Mother's Day so a limited selection but it was delicious. Breakfast was also great and Dermot was a wonderful host. The cooked breakfast was freshly cooked to order (and we were offered more when we had finished). The only downside is car parking which is not at the hotel but at the multi story car park opposite. But even this was only a minor inconvenience. If you need to be in Newmarket this is a great place to stay.

Every good welcome and lovley staff but the food was very poor Garlic bread starter is tiny The pizzas felt half cooked it was like the base was coked then the topping added on for the price I expected better

We were a party of 11 for a 12 years old birthday meal. The service throughout was friendly and efficient. Even bringing out our supplied birthday cake with candles lit singing happy birthday, with plates and spoons. The starters and main were all presented well, and tasty, the best were the king prawn gnocchi and soup.cannot comment on the Mozzarella which several wanted, as they had none. The star mains was the beef Chianti with porcini mash. Only downside it can be very noisy in this restaurant, only a few people in but one party very noise spoilt the atmosphere lots better when they when, This problem has never been resolved.

After visiting family in Newmarket we decided to book this restaurant for a large party of people. However, I would rate the quality poor, the food was way too salty even the children in my party complained of too much salt on the food. We waited so long for our food too, I understand they may of had a lot of dishes to cook, but when you have to ask where you food is - not a good sign. The staff were nice and I don't think it is their fault on this ocassion.

We prebooked but no need to as the restaurant was very quiet. Food tasty. We paid with Tesco vouchers so all good. Not sure I would pay the prices without the vouchers. We had lasagne and chips and a tres gusto pizza. Both meals were very good. A safe bet if you have vouchers.

This was our familys number one restaurant for many years. However, the recent price increase and decrease in meal sizes, has us looking to other places. Please note the food and service were good quality. My lunch salad of £13.50 was half the size as normal. Thank you.

The food was cold my pasta was a lump with no sauce and no flavour wouldn’t feed it to my dog and the pizza looked like it had been regurgitated into the box! £40 down the drain and food in the bin! Wouldn’t eat here again if I was paid to!

This place used to be great but has gone down hill fast. The place seems empty most of time. £7 for a king prawn starter of 4 prawns and it wasn't even hot so overpriced generic chain food mostly microwaved. The short male waiter is very rude. Shall not be returning. Just go to unico in the high street..amazing staff fresh homemade food and a great atmosphere

First time in prezzo and deffo last wasn’t happy with the food I had pizza which is burnt and cold staff were friendly but u need a new chef

Had a buy a gift voucher for 2 of us and 3 people to pay normally. Service was ok, food was really good. More staff in there than they had customers! Felt they made the voucher situation a challenge and ordering was not very easy due to that. They were trying their best and clearly quite new to the company as had to check with their manager a few times. I’d return again as the food was really good.

Overall a good experience. I wanted a quick evening meal and that’s what I got, really quick service and the food came out quickly overall good service team was really nice and helpful

Normally have a great time in Prezzo but today I was disappointed as my drink which I had not finished was taken away from. I still had at least 1/3 of my drink left and my fruit that was in the drink. Apart from that the food was lovely but just that was disappointing on my visit today

We've been using this restaurant since the day it opened. Not often, but for special occasions. The service is always excellent and the food very good. Everywhere is clean. Only downside is they now serve Pepsi instead of Coke (yuck) and nolonger have Risotto????

Visited Prezzo newmarket The meal took over an hour to arrive at our table no apology or explanation was given I didn’t feel a welcoming experience have visited here in the past and the service hasn’t improved The food was okay-ish didn’t feel like staying for deserts They also like you to pay by card in order to add a sneaky service charge which got noted by the table I was sitting on Overall better training needed with customer relations and etiquette I feel improvements wouldn’t be difficult if the effort was put in

Early evening meal at 5 pm. Restaurant only had four tables in so not busy. Found the service throughout very good even down to the serving of the birthday cake, friendly and efficient. Now to the food, lots of different starters an mains ordered all were presented well in a timely order. Pizzas, pasta, meat and risotto dishes. Every one tasted great could not find fault with any of them. Would go back again especially if not busy.

Regularly visit Newmarket for the races and have eaten here on several previous occasions so expectations were high. Maybe with Covid-19 but the menu seemed somewhat reduced and although the food was okay it was not as we’ve had previously. Hope this is just a temporary blip and normal service will be in place for our next visit.

Prezzo Newmarket is a great place to eat . All of the staff are friendly and helpful, The food is fantastic and we are already looking forward to our next visit. Thanks guys, see you soon.

We come to Prezzo a lot glad to be back after the closure. Cannot ever fault the place nice atmosphere and the food is always a good standard. The staff are superb so keep up the good work will be back this weekend

Great to see Prezzo up and running again.We've missed you! Great to see somewhere taking COVID precautions seriously. Really added to our enjoyment that they were seating people sensibly and not coralling them into one corner. Staff were excellent as usual.

Had a great meal. Food was quick and very hot. Our server was pleasant and helpful. Had a lovely bottle of prosecco, although felt a bit delicate the next day!

Came here last night for a meal, blonde lady who served us did great however another brown haired lady was not so cheery and bothered about us being there at all. We ordered our mains and they came out in decent time however 1 person was left without food for around 5-10 mins after everyone else had received there’s, it seems it was forgotten to be made. No apology when bringing the food out. When we asked to pay we were told to go to the bar where the brown haired lady chucked a reciept at us and told us to tell her what she had and then tell her how much the item was because she needed to add it up in her calculator? So we might as well have put it through the till ourselves! My friend paid her bill and tore the reciept off the card reader and gave the card reader back to the brown haired lady and my friend was told to give her the receipt because she didn’t know if she actually paid her share of the bill or not... Paid for our food and left, credit to the blonde haired lady for managing such a large group of people, however the complete opposite for the other lady we were served by - rude & abrupt. Food was nice, decent sized portion for what you pay.

Had a great meal this evening. The staff always look after us and today was no different. Kids finished their meals and Daddy and Mummy enjoyed theirs too!

Took my family to Prezzo, Newmarket for a post Christmas meal on 29.12.19 to celebrate my son’s girlfriends birthday and my wedding anniversary. Unfortunately not a great meal, service not great either - long wait between stArter and main course. Calamari stArter was sent back as cold and virtually inedible. Replacement was at least hot but still not brilliant. Main course - I had to send my dish back as Luke warm At best. Pasta in 3 dishes were oversalted. Decided not wait for dessert as we had already been in the restaurant for 2 hours. Such a shame! The restaurant was busy for a Sunday night so maybe the reason for the long wait between courses!.

Very unhappy with the service tonight. I am normally accommodating but the starter took forever to arrive. Then my margarita pizza came and lacked colour, no fresh basil. The waiter almost adopted the opinion that by getting me some basil he was doing me a favour but after much arguing I showed him the menu that the pizza contains fresh basil. He returned with a small saucer with three leaves of basil. Arguments followed with the Italian waitress who argued with me. What they should have done is remade the pizza, apologised and there would be no issue. Instead I just left the meal, paid and walked away. If the menu says the pizza comprises tomato mozzarella and fresh basil, I don’t expect the basil to be a garnish on a tiny saucer. It’s like buying a car and the wheels being in the boot. I must add that eventually they removed the pizza off my bill, but I only had three bites so I wasn’t going to pay anyway. All in all they could have dealt with the situation much differently. I am very upset and disappointed tonight, and looking at my previous reviews I am usually a very fair and forgiving person. I will never set foot in another Prezzo again.

Stopped by here when visiting Newmarket for a night in July 2018. The service was fantastic and everything was cooked perfectly.

We have stopped today with our little one for lunch. We been acknowledge by very friendly manageress,our order was taken promptly, food and drinks was tasty, staff friendly and attentive. Our waitress made our visit extra special as she had a chat with our son and nothing was to much for her.Prezzo Newmarket is our favourite one and can not wait to return :)

Decided that we’d go out for something to eat as my wife I felt deserved a treat. We went with our 2 sons (8 & 2) and decided that our local Prezzo would be ideal. Upon arrival we were met by a lovely lady who sorted us a table near the window so my sons could traffic watch. That was the good, if not fantastic bit. We waited what seemed like an age before another pleasant waiter came over and asked ‘Where are up to?’I explained we hadn’t yet ordered anything and he took our drinks and meal order. Drinks then took a further 15 minutes with the starter approximately 30 minutes. 3 out of the 4 starters were right however my wife’s starter was completely wrong, though we’d waited so long we couldn’t be bothered to complain. It then took a further 30 minutes for the mains to come out. Sadly they were stone cold so they took my wife’s and mine and ‘pinged’ it in the microwave. When it came back in truth it had lost its appeal. The side of chips turned up pretty much as we finished (though the waitress did remove the charge). There was a party in of 37 people and in truth not enough staff. The young man and young lady were rushing around clearly not supported with the right amount of staff. There was another lady who I’m assuming was a manager and had allocated herself to the party. Issue being the other waiting staff still had to help her but she didn’t support them at all. Maybe at the start when we went in if we were told the likelihood of a wait was possible then maybe we could have made a decision what we wanted to do. In truth there were multiple issues and in truth and it managed to ruin one of the few occasions my wife and I actually manage to go out.

Cannot understand previous reviews. We had a good meal well presented and served by a friendly staff member. We had reserved a table which was good as the restaurant soon filled up after 6.30. There was no rush when we had finished our meal. Overall good value, we will return soon.

My husband and I went here on 15 September for an early evening meal having chosen this branch based on previous great service and good food. We were sadly disappointed - service was slow - almost 1.5 hours for two courses and it was not busy. When our roast salmon mains arrived - whilst the salmon was hot the sauce and vegetables were cold and starting to congeal. We told the waiter when he came to collect the plates - no one had been to check if we were happy with the food. We decided against dessert since we could not face a further wait. I have tried to give the restaurant a chance to respond by contacting them directly by the captcha system will not let me submit it despite having tried numerous times. We came home very disappointed.

This restaurant has gone downhill since my last visit which wasn’t great before but I wanted to give it another try. The waitress serving wasn’t very friendly, maybe it was down to her injured foot, but didn’t look like she wasnt happy to be there. We waited for at least 15 mins for our drinks, and then given no menus. When we did eventually choose, we had to wait a long time as another table of 15 walked in and were served first! We then were given another waitress but waited so long we asked someone else for a dessert menu. Food was nothing special, so obviously a chain and nothing original. It was an ok evening but we won’t go there again unfortunately.

The girl serving us was nice and did everything she could, but food was tasteless and bland. I won't be coming again.

A discount voucher helped, reducing the bill to £34 for two adults and a child, who had the £6.99 childrens' three course offer.

Absolutely amazing and friendly staff - very helpful, specially when coming with children/prams. Drinks arrived really quickly and the food 10min later. It was busy, but staff managed to be with us whenever we needed them!

I normally use the Ely prezzo as it’s closer to me.

Called in on my return form Muckleburgh back to Cambridge. A nice clean tidy restaurant. Staff were friendly and helpful with menu suggestions. Opted for the pizza bread to start and then the Posh Pizza both of which were really nice. Would certainly call again when passing by.

Waited 10 mins to be seated, when the girl finally come over it took her another 15 mins to get our drinks ordered, the restaurant wasn’t not busy there was ourselves a table of 3 and a table of 5 who where eating, when I got the attention of the girl who told me “oh I’m busy I will be back in a moment” I asked if I can pay for my drinks and we left. NOT IMPRESSED

Got a table for 2 on a Friday evening without having to reserve. Nice decor, pleasant atmosphere, polite staff, varied menu. The only thing I didn't like was at the point when we had just sat down, had briefly been given the menu and were asked to order our drinks. The waitress then asked if we would like some olives whilst we looked at the menu. The impression given was that the olives were complimentary whereas, having then looked more closely, very closely, at the menu you see in the top left corner, written quite separately from the Starters, the mention of Olives at £3.20 ''whist you read the menu''. I felt the waitress should have mentioned that the olives were chargeable as she must have realised from my reaction that I thought they were complimentary. I presume this is a deliberate tactic used by Prezzo to up their bills. Not impressed.

We used Tesco vouchers. The food was quite nice but I’m always surprised at how little you get for the money. The starters are particularly mean. I had calamari and my husband the mushrooms. Tasty but tiny.

We dined on a Sunday night and had a great time with excellent food and service. Easy to recommend this restaurant.

Low key place for families. Good menu for children. Pasta was overcooked and the sauce luke warm. Had this just come from the microwave? Replacement pasta well cooked but sauce non-descript. The standout dish was the goats cheese al forno.

Late decision to visit with a free bottle code. Used to go to Prezzo a lot, but not so much recently. It's a good location and a spacious, well-presented restaurant. There was a reasonable crowd in for early evening with plenty of families and children. The staff were friendly and efficient, and service was spot on, quick enough but not too quick.

Have been here many times before. Food is always nice and staff always polite. The restaurant is clean and I get 25% NHS staff discount which means great value for money

My friend and I stopped here for a quick lunch with my toddler. We were seated straight away. We ordered of the set menu for £10 which was incredibly reasonable. Portion sizes were bigger than expected for this price too. My avocado, chicken and bacon salad was very good except the avocado was brown and looked really unappetising. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. I will visit again.

Have visited many times and have always found the staff friendly delivering an efficient service. The food is lovely and I’ve always enjoyed my meals here.

We visited on Sunday and enjoyed two very delicious courses from the Winter Set Menu. This is excellent value for money and a good choice of dishes are available. The staff were friendly and helpful. Service was prompt and the food well presented. Highly recommend this restaurant.

Had a meal, 12 of us. Must admit havnt eaten here for a very long while as wasn’t impressed.

Lovely food, but we had to wait an hour to get our mains. We were on a very tight time scale and this delay ruined our time with our daughter as she had to get back to the college.

We had a pre-Christmas catch up meal here with a friend and I can't point at any errors or anything I desliked. All was good, including a cosy atmosphere & great food and drinks.

We couldnt belive some of our family members hadnt been to prezzo so we decided to treat them .

We booked a big table , pre-ordered all the food , but why bother to pre order , we got to the restaurant at 7.30 we ordered drinks an hour later still no starters are starters came out at 8.40 then a long wait for main meal which was not hot when it came out , so much so what instead of waiting to make sure everyone had food , people all started eating. I have to say there was one girl who served the drinks she was good but all other staff even the manger looking guy didn’t make you feel welcome and it actually felt we were just to much of an effort and they didn’t care if we were there or not. This is now the last time I will ever step foot in a prezzo in Newmarket it has a bad name anyway and now we can see why . It really spoilt are Christmas meal and everyone was on a downer. The bill took a nightmare to sort out because again they wouldn’t let us buy our drinks separately, we refused to pay the £42 service charge we would of happily all paid a tip if it was worth it but it really wasn’t . I will never return and would of got better service in mc Donald’s .

Popped for Christmas Catch up with a friend we chose Prezzos as it offered good options for vegetarians and vegans - Staff were very friendly. Quick and polite service Will absolutely go back - cant fault it this evening best visit to a prezzos yet

We had a fantastic experience during our visit to Prezzo. We did booked a table of 11 to celebrate the End of Year with our fit clubers! The service was exceptional and we felt that the staff went the extra mile to serve us well! We will definitely go back soon!

Dinner for two. Wonderful food we had the Gorgonzola chicken, really really good. The service was great no waiting at all. Will definitely call in again.

Dined here on a Wednesday night. Really enjoyed the salmon ravioli and the honeycomb smash cheesecake. Loved the additions to the festive menu, and found the set menu good value.

I had a 40% off food voucher which made this great value for money. I guess they make their money on the drinks. I enjoyed the squid for starter and the goats cheese pasta for my main. There was quite a bit left which was ok as I got to have it for lunch the next day too!

Met a friend for an ad hoc evening meal and found Prezzo to be surprisingly good. Don't usually go for chain restaurants, but did on this occasion and was glad I did. Service and food were both very good and reasonably priced.

Nice family meal, had prawns with tomato and chilli, and as my dad likes prawns but nothing spicy they made it for him without chilli.i had the crab and lobster ravioli which was lovely. We all love desserts, but was full up, but they did a smaller portion with a hot drink, which is an excellent idea. The staff were friendly and attentive, the only down side, there is no parking so had to park in shopping centre.

Enjoyed lunch here a Monday early September. Staff were attentive (wasn't busy anyway) and it's a lovely bright place with parking not hard to find, as visitors to the area. Even when my pizza was slightly wrong they corrected it perfectly and we enjoyed a really good meal (on Tesco Clubcard Vouchers). Staff were good with the children.

Came down for the Cambridgeshire meeting and ate in Prezzo on Friday and Saturday night, bother meals were really tasty and freshly prepapared. The staff are excellent and very attentive and helpful.

On a busy Friday night we were accommodated easily . Great pizza - gluten free options are available. Service efficient and friendly. Enjoyed our meal.

Very disappointed for a Italian restaurant the food should look and taste good but it didn’t my husband had to ad salt and black pepper in his pasta so it could have some flavor my friend’s husband sent his food back me and my friend we were so hungry so we didn’t send it back. The only good thing was the drinks, the garlic bread and the service.

Tasty food. The lady with dark hair and glasses is lovely, very helpful and is always very happy to weigh up if your taste card is the better option or prezzo vouchers to get you the best deal. The small guy (not sure what nationality he is) seems to be very rude, we have had a couple of encounters with him which we've not been happy with.

Not a huge fan of chain restaurants but this one came up trumps. Great food, great service and all for a reasonable price.

after a girls day out we decided to go back to Prezzo's. This used to be one of our favourite places to eat. Menu is much the same as always and still has our favourites on it. Staff were friendly and efficient. Can't really fault it. We used the email voucher to save on our bill too.

My family and I went on a Monday evening.

Supper with a friend to make use of a voucher for a big discount on main courses - we caused some confusion regarding other offers which couldn't be used at the same time and resulted in our changing our orders. We enjoyed a super meal and when it came to pay the bill it appeared that the voucher we had expired. The manager took it all in his stride and came back with an alternative offer that made the whole evening very good value. So often when things go wrong they don't get sorted - this was the exception - Well done to the team at Prezzo.

Using a 30 GBP special offer code, we dined at Prezzo - Newmarket ordering some calamari, a light pizza and the sea bass main, all of which were tasty and swiftly prepared for us. Service was good, nothing untoward during our time here, the restaurant was well-ventilated during the warm evening and nice inside. Would probably revisit if we were ever in the area again.

Well, it was good. No complaints whatsoever, but nothing extraordinary. I find the servers a bit too chatty, but that's okay. It's not fine dining and the choices are quite limited. Not that many healthy choices. I also ordered the pizza fries - was not impressed by those at all. A bunch of frozen supermarket fries with a few pepperoni slices and some mozzarella, a bit disappointing to be honest. Pizzas are okay-ish, but cannot compare to Italian pizzas by a millimeter. Overall, good place to take a bite, but don't expect too much.

Went on a Friday pm and although busy service and food exactly as expected from Prezzo. Not 5 star simply because the food is not a la carte. Would return.

We shared starters of garlic bread with cheese and breaded mozerella...no additional plates offered for ease of splitting so muddled through.

We had a brilliant Sunday lunch, the staff are very friendly and the service is extremely quick. The food is prepared and served to a high standard and the cost does not break the bank. This was not the first time we have been to Prezzo Newmarket and most certainly will not be the last.

Newmarket Prezzo is excellent. Food and service is always great. The meatball starter is real good. Our waitress Janine was really helpful and attentive. First class.

Lovely meal with my other half yesterday, very nice food I was widely impressed. The staff was so lovely especially our waiter Alex. He was very helpful.

I had the joys of going to the races yesterday and we stopped at prezzos for tea afterwards. We had a lovely waiter Alex he took care of all of our needs and was very impressed with him. The food was lovely as was the drinks. I would highly recommend!

Thoroughly enjoyed our evening, from the moment we arrived to the end of the meal , the staff were very attentive, polite and knowledgable. Our waiter Alex advised us to order a carafe of wine instead of the glass of wine we had each ordered as this was the more economical option. The bruschetta was delicious, and after much deliberation on the main course I choose the light goat cheese and aubergine pizza, which was amazing. Having small children we don’t get out the often but the amosplhere, service and delicious food we will definitely be back.

Visited here on many occasions. Recently we have been served by a waiter called Alex, he is very professional and friendly. All the staff are great, food is also excellent! Would definitely recommend Newmarket Prezzos!

This place is honestly one of my favourites. The staff are so friendly, the service is great and the food is amazing. One of my favourite places to come for gluten free options. The last two times I’ve been with friends I was served by a lovely lady called Janine. She did a superb job on both occasions, always full of smiles and punctuality and I feel she’s a real asset to your team as she made us feel so at home and welcome. Keep up the good work guys! I love visiting.

After a lovely day out last Sunday me and my boyfriend stopped at Prezzo's for dinner. For starter we had the garlic cheese bread with caramelised onion to share, it was delicious. I was unsure what to have for main but my waiter was very helpful asking what I like and dislike before suggesting a couple options. In the end my waiter, Alex, changed the cheese on the steak and gorgonzola pizza to goat cheese specially for me. The pizza was fantastic, I will definitely be visiting again soon!

I visited here for my mums birthday with my family, Alex was our waiter, he was very professional explained the menu to my family, always friendly. All the staff at Prezzos are friendly aswell ☺️ The food is always great! Been here many times, would definitely come back!☺️

After a long day at the races with the wife and children, we stopped off for a meal at Prezzo in the centre of Newmarket. Perfectly placed in front of the clock tower - very picturesque.

The food was very good, Janine served us and was very helpful with explaining the menu we had some vouchers and there was no problem with using them as in some other places . we defiantly coming back
