Il Salvatore Restaurant in Forest Heath

My first visit to this restaurant and it was lovely. Food was great hot fresh and tasty, service was fast and professional, I didn't actually try any because I was driving, but the cocktails looked amazing

Booked for a family meal , shown to table near window and realised it was a cold area but hoped it would warm up. It did not warm up , the ice in a drink did not melt after 2 hours and the staff did not respond to our concern over this . I pointed this out again when asking for bill but no real concern shown , basically it's a flashy Instagram cocktail place serving slightly overpriced average food . The focus is on the £14 cocktails and a selfie mirror , if you have a complaint keep it to yourself as they don't have the time

Il Salvatore is one of my favourite restaurants I would eat here every night if I could. The cocktails are out of this world, the food is so delicious and the people who run it are so friendly and do everything they can to make sure you have an evening to remember. I would give it 10 stars if I could

I wasn’t able to take a picture of the food because we ate it so fast. We had arancini, pizza, and four cheese gnocchi. I was able to take a photo of the scrumptious milk shake. The food was so filling so we opted to share a milkshake. The service was fantastic, we felt welcome and well taken care of. Next time we’ll have to come back for their desserts and cocktails.

Amazing food and cocktails which can be made in front of you. The staff are all very friendly and will do their best to make sure you have a great time. If I was going to criticise at all I would say the cocktails can be very expensive but so worth it you don't care. I have eaten here quite a few times and will continue to do so.

This place is certainly Instagram worthy. Many of the cocktails have the wow factor and look delicious. The decor is fun and makes you want to take pictures with friends. The menu is varied and there’s plenty to choose from. I had the king prawns to start. For me they had a little too much lemon on but the actual prawns themselves were big and delicious served with bruschetta and some mixed salad leaves. The main I had chicken in a creamy mushroom sauce with potatoes (I thought they’d be sautéed but were in fact roast potatoes?) The dish was lacking a crunch element so I ordered a side of vegetables which definitely lifted the dish but being charged £2.95 for a couple of heads of broccoli was weird. As I had such a heavy main I went for a sorbet to finish asked it was delicious! Anyway! The food was in fact good just missing an edge to it. On the whole I had a lovely dinner and I probably will return again at some point if I’m in the area. 4/5 for me on this one.

The service received was over and above expected; the food was amazing; the garlic bread with cheese was the best I have ever tasted and not too expensive. Will definitely be going again

Dined as a family of 7. Great service, food was fresh and super tasty and everybody enjoyed their choices. We will be definitely be visiting again.

We had a lovely family meal. Went early as we have two little ones and so it was quiet. Main meal was nice but the pudding was really good! There was one other table with two ladies next to us who ordered the raspberry pavlova, it came with a huge dollop of candy floss and my 7 year olds eye went huge! She asked if she could have that and I agreed. We all ordered raspberry pavlova but were a little disappointed when they came minus candy floss and my little girls face dropped. Give the team credit they came over with a little dish of candy floss for her after we asked. So while the food was really tasty I would suggest a little consistency with service and the products. I appreciate the variety and making things individual and unique but we literally ordered the same pudding within about 10 minutes. Other thing was that when the two ladies bill came it came with those little complimentary sweets. But when our bill came there were none. Again I was left to try and explain to my 7 year old why we did not get any. Both incidences left us feeling a little put out, like we were not as important or treated as specially. A little consistency would go a long way in this case. But like I said the food was good and the team friendly enough.

I cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough. The food is just mouth wateringly good. The wine went down as easily as Ribena and the service was excellent. The ambience was lovely and having visited for the first time just 2 weeks ago we have rebooked again for this Friday. If you are looking for a night out on a budget you might not truly get to enjoy yourself as much as you otherwise would. Realistically, with copious amounts of the excellent choice of wine to drink from you won't get any change from £50-60 per person. Is it vale for money- YES. You only get what you pay for and the fact that we are going back again so soon speaks volumes. The last time I tasted Italian food this good was in Italy itself. We were served and attended to by Tricia / Alex and Joe. We were very well looked after all evening. The service could not have been better! When we wanted a few things that were not on the menu like a big bowl of olives to pick from as well as some bread/ oil& vinegar to dip with, it was not a problem. We were absolutely 'stuffed' by the end of the evening that was capped off with a complimentary glass of Madeira wine. Excellent all round and I'd give this place 6 stars out of five if I could. Well done to all the staff at Il Salvatore and we look forward to seeing you soon.

The food is all home cooked, and fresh. Our food was excellent and other people's food looked very good too. Very clean, atmospheric with friendly staff. A real treat.

Visited without a reservation for lunch on a Friday and the very accomodating staff served excellent food at reasonable prices. Very pleased, going back this week en route to Norfolk from Kent.

This restaurant was a great find and it was such a fun way to spend an evening. The staff were so friendly and the decor was so fun which all helped to create a brilliant atmosphere. The food was delicious and arrived quickly and the cocktails were unlike any I had ever seen or drunk before. I can highly recommend this place for a fun night out!

We have been going to this restaurant for many years even before it move to Crown Street! We have watched it grow into the best Italian outside London! The pizza are authentic and the Strawberry Daquri is delicious!
