Very nice atmosphere and tasty food

Walked by and tried to see if we could fit in for a impromptu lunch, the staff were very welcoming and the atmosphere was lovely, can't wait to come back as the food was amazing 😍

Love the food it’s the best pasta I have ever had I have been here a couple of times now and it is amazing the people working and lovely and allways helpful and the atmosphere is always nice I never feel rushed eating here, my only thing is the music could be a little bit quieter apart from that such a nice place I would definitely suggest coming here

Beautiful service by Nilli ,food was amazing.

The service was very friendly and quick. The drinks were lovely and it was overall a nice evening. The food was noticeably not fresh, my tagliatelle had lots of clumps that showed it had been left out for quite a while before being served.

Friendly staff, food taste amazing

Some of the best Italian food we’ve ever eaten! Delicious sausage and calamari to start with. The calves liver was amazing as was the chicken and chorizo pasta. Finished off with coffee and the most wonderful tiramisu. Service was excellent. Definitely recommend.

Nice food at a reasonable price

I like it here. The staff is ALWAYS extremely kind and quick. Food is good, simple italian done very well. Its nice that they are starting to introduce some specials now. Note: If you are planning on having wine turn your glass right side up as soon as you sit down to let the dishwasher smell dissipate fully or you'll be smelling dirty doggy 🐶 breath with your wine. That's a small gripe and doesn't takeaway the enjoyment of dining at Mangiare.

Ate here last Saturday with my wife and daughter... quite simply, the best Italian restaurant we've ever been to.. staff were amazing, restaurant was full yet food and drinks served in great time. The food itself was wonderful, could not fault it in any way and even the price was more than reasonable. Very impressed, they even provided a takeaway box as we ordered far to much food.

One of the best Italian meals I’ve had in the UK! The carbonara pasta is amazing and the service is superb. I strongly recommend it.

We were looking for a place to have a quick lunch and discovered the one we would like to come back again. All food absolutely delicious, service is fast and prices are reasonable. Desserts are totally worth tasting as well!

Big portions [way too many tomato's on bruhetta] but delicious. Thin pizza, delicious rissoto, all dishes were warm and tasty. Lemon alcoholic drink on point. Nice staff especially the young chap. Stunning decor to my liking. Will be back in a month or so. Cleam toilets, baby changing. Great!!!

First visit last night and was really impressed, first impression friendly staff greeting at door, nice decor and clean. Food was amazing, we had the Gnocchi and the Calzone pizza, would say price on average with similar restaurants in area. Will definitely be returning soon!

The best Italian restaurant in not just Newmarket but possibly in many surrounding towns as well! Been here a few times and once was on a date and she couldn’t believe how proper everything was. Definitely one of my favourite places to go and eat

We waited a bit for our meals but this was due to my special request. I wanted the mixed seafood with spaghetti and a white wine, garlic sauce, not the tomato sauce on the menu. The only request would have been one more shrimp, instead of the two presented. The rest of the mixed seafood (mussels, clams and anchovies) was generous. My partner had the chicken with salsiccia in a cheese sauce with chopped tomato. I used to live near Siena in Italy so was expecting that level of food quality. Both served piping hot and were outstanding (and I’m a picky food-obsessed American!) Staff friendly and asked after your food was delivered and if you’re happy with your meal. Very concerned about customer satisfaction. Also portion size was generous and I left a bit (but not the seafood!)

Went there with my partner for a Saturday evening dinner. We had made an enquiry for a reservation for 6pm, but as we didn't get a confirmation within 1 hour, we decided to just show up. We were very warmly greeted by the host, who then showed us to a table. The waiter then came and took our drink order, but as I was driving, we didn't get any alcoholic drinks, just tap water. We proceeded to order our dishes: one pizza Di carne for myself and a portion of fusilli pasta carbonara. The dishes were brought to us within 10 minutes. The base of the pizza was nice and fluffy with a good amount of fresh toppings on top. The pasta was also very good and filling, with some extra cheese on top. Overall a very lovely and warming experience, great food and amazing hosts. An easy 5 ⭐

We occasionally meet chums in Newmarket and this Italian was the place we agreed to meet for lunch. First time for us and overall a pretty good effort. Requested a better table but they couldn't accomodate the request, when obviously they could but no biggy . The food was good but not what I would call spectacular but would gladly go back and eat there again, so I would urge you to do the same. I think the trouble is we holiday in Tuscany, and frequent several high end Italian restaurants here in the Midlands. We may have been spoiled but seriously, this is a place I would gladly eat at again when next in Newmarket and as I said would urge you to have a run at it too. Booked to end a great days racing at one of our favourite restaurants in Newmarket and, as always, we we not disappointed. The staff are incredibly welcoming and polite and take time to engage and deliver a great eating experience. The food is served promptly and is always full of flavour and delicious. The staff were welcoming, fast and attentive despite the restaurant being busy. I don’t know who the chef was but they were producing some next level food. We had a sharing pizza bread starter, which was the size of a full pizza. For a main I had chicken with potatoes, mushrooms and asparagus which was creamy and delicious; the chicken had a nice charred taste and was very tender. I went for a panna cotta for desert as I was quite full up. This wouldn’t be my usual choice but I was very happy with it. The cream was a delicate, indulgent vanilla flavour. It was offset by a few drizzles of very tart raspberry coulis, culminating in a culinary firework display on the pallet. Overall very pleasantly surprised. I eat out regularly, and rarely come across somewhere good/bad enough to feel like I ought to leave a review. I would recommend this restaurant.

Had perused their menu on-line and thought the Pizza di Mare seemed good. I was correct, it was VERY good. The staff are great which helps. Topped it off with some lime cheesecake which was not like key lime pie but was very nice.

We ate here on a Saturday night, the place was nearly full and we were warmly welcomed and shown to our table. Everywhere was nice and clean and airy. We were soon given the extensive menus and ordered drinks that arrived quickly. The food was ordered and when it arrived it was all hot, nicely presented and tasted superb. The staff were all efficient but friendly. All in all this is a great restaurant that serves lovely food, we will return!

This was our 1st visit and had heard that it was good and it did not disappoint! Food was delicious, service was excellent. Our waitress was brilliant, we were a table of 9 and she got everything spot on and was friendly and polite. She was also the main waitress. Definitely book if your going as it was super busy on a sunday evening. Parking is just across the road which is handy too.

Having read the reviews we went here for a meal after Newmarket races as a family of 4. All I can say it is amazing! The initial welcome is spot on, the staff all look happy and genuinely look like they want to be there. The staff communicate well and you have a real mixture of people serving, that shows great team work and communication. The food is fresh, extremely tasty, timely to come out and just spot on! We will 100% be back and this is now a go to for our family meal out if we want Italian. We done to all the team there and the leaders as clearly they are talented individuals. THANK YOU!

Great Italian resturant. Second time eating here and again didn't disapoint, focaccia starter was crunchy and salty as it should be and all pastas/gnocchi were ver good. The carbonara here was always a favorite! For desert we had vanilla pana cotta with the perfect bounce and texture and a great berry sauce. Good italian and not badly priced either! Recomended.

Was expecting better based on the reviews but found the food really bland might as well have eaten cardboard it would taste about the same. Service was friendly but took a long time for the food to arrive took about 1.5 hours for starter and main should be less than an hour

Really tasty food, but unfortunately on our most recent visit the service wasn't great. We had to remind them of drinks we had ordered and after we received our mains I felt like the staff forgot about our table, we didn't get offered a dessert menu/drinks/bill. I would go again though and hope the service is better as the food was great.

What an absolutely fabulous restaurant. The service was outstanding, the food fantastic and the ambiance was wonderful. We will be back!

We stopped off here on our travels and enjoyed a really tasty Italian meal. Lasagna was tasty and the pizza was really delicious with a beautiful crust on the dough. They were very accommodating for our little boy who has a diary and egg allergy. They swapped out his pasta for red vegan tagliatelle, which he loved! The lemon sorbet was really nice and had almost a creamy texture to it. And (not always common in England) the espresso here was really smooth and a perfect end to the meal. Staff very friendly, would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone!!

Probably the 4th time we have been here and to date have not had a bad experience. The staff are very friendly and helpful, the food is top notch and the prices are reasonable. Win bonus was the location as we stayed in the Premier Inn and it was pouring down so another plus point!

My favourite Italian which is on the way to/from Santa Pod for me. The cappuccino is good and strong. Garlic bread with cheese is to die for. The pizza is amazing. Definitely will keep going here.

The food was great, looked good and tasted great. Price is very reasonable but the service was awful.... Second time I've been here and had to constantly wave down the staff. Had to literally wave like a lunatic to get their attention for about few minutes. Took so long that I just got up to the counter to order and request for menus. People around us got checked back loads of times and tables were cleared. But our table had to wave to get attention and no one took our tables so we had to put the empty plates on an empty table. Will probably just get takeaway if I ever come back here

I visited the restaurant at the weekend with my family. We were welcomed by lovely staff followed by a delicious meal. Would definitely recommend having the carbonara and Tiramisu. Overall, fantastic meal!

Myself and my daughter have been to this restaurant on many occasions and when compared to the more main stream chain restaurants, Mangiare is a cut above those. The food is always freshly prepared with good ingredients and the service is always very attentive and...

Very relaxing anesthetic and the waiter was friendly and very patient. Food was really good and it came out within 10 minutes (it was not a lot of customers in there and I went around dinner time). The pasta was fresh and not frozen or precooked. You also get to choose what type of pasta you want (spaghetti, tagliatelle or rigatoni. Those were the only 3 options I believe). However, if you don't eat pork, most of the dishes are made with pork. For example, I wanted the gnocchi but the meat was mixed with pork and beef. The chef couldn't separate it. They can also do cocktails without the alcohol. I recommend the pink colada. I had the pasta arrabiata and my friend had the cabonara.

Sunday night few weeks ago, we were a group of 11 coming from a powerlifting competition. Rang at 5pm and had no problem accommodating us at 5.30pm. From start to finish the staff and management were so pleasant. The food was unreal from starter breads to pasta and chicken dishes. If we are ever back again to Newmarket we will be returning here.
