Prezzo - Thame in South Oxfordshire

I took my daughter and grandchildren for a treat of a pudding and a drink on Tuesday, it brightened up a miserable rainy day. The Manager in the Thame branch was extremely accommodating and pleasant.

Prezzo never disappoints me whether I am going out with my friends, work colleagues or family. But Mariana makes it all the more special! I cannot sing her praise enough. She’s always happy, cracks a joke, puts you in a good mood and nothing is too much of an ask. Mariana always goes over and above and makes your visit at Prezzo truly special. You don’t have to believe me, find it for yourself ☺️

Service was brilliant......as usual. Pizza very good . I personally would prefer less topping and thiner crisper base.

The staff were very accommodating in our wish to not sit near children so we could hear each other (not that we have anything against children you understand, we have our own!) We were seated in a quiet area and couldn’t fault the service or food.

Would have loved to eat in there tonight but the waiter had no idea how to seat me I love the food but not tonight

Whilst the food and service were good for a busy restaurant I was disappointed that the new menu did not sufficiently describe the change in the Caesar Salad. Breaded chicken instead of grilled chicken, just described as crispy chicken. It was like having a chicken nugget salad. I won’t be ordering that again. Such a shame as it was a much loved dish.

Excellent service Manager extremely helpful remembered we like hot plates for the food. We are regular customers because if ghd service we got.

Used offer where you get second meal for £1 which is excellent in my opinion! We had goats cheese pizza and spaghetti with prawns, which were both yummy. We had another family member joining us who was on a tight timescalle, so asked for a couple of starters speedily, and they couldn't have been more accommodating. Overall, the setting was good, food was really good, but above all, the service was excellent! The guy serving was lovely...efficient yet friendly. Based on todays visit will happily return.

We were having real problems trying to book through’Buy a Gift’ so we rang the restaurant direct who couldn’t have been more helpful. Booking confirmed we arrived and were served by Mariana (who had helped us earlier on the phone). The welcome, food and service was friendly and efficient and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend.

The whole experience from booking to paying the bill was effortless. Our hostess was efficient and attentive. The food was really good, my husband hasn’t stopped talking about the pizza he had and how tasty it was. Would recommend Thame Prezzo every time.

We both had pasta's and the food was tasty and fresh. The service was good. We did come in early 7pm and it was very noisy with all the families with small children - Perhaps you can seat couples away from families with small children.

staff seemed a bit thin on the ground, one guy doing most everything but doing it very well, all in all a good experience.

Had a great time in Prezzo Thame today. Lovely staff and atmosphere. Our waitresses Maddy and Georgia were very helpful and attentive. Food was amazing. Would definitely recommend a visit!

We visited here Friday 28th March! Evening before my wedding me my bridesmaids and some family members wanted to go out for a meal to celebrate that I was getting married the next day! Can honestly say we were made to feel like complete crap and awkward! We had some Tesco vouchers and some 2 for 1 vouchers to use! We were aware wouldn’t be able to use them together so we asked if we could split the bill so we could use the Tesco vouchers on one and then the 2 for 1 on another bill as we were all paying separately! We were made to feel like we were being completely unreasonable and the manager was so rude; from the minute we got there she didn’t crack a smile and then continued to stand behind the bar and slag us all off to different waitresses which was so obvious, not setting a great example to her staff! I couldn’t wait to get out of there, would never return!

We had an amazing Valentine’s day meal with our server Mariana, she made sure we were okay throughout the entire meal and also brought us a free glass of prosecco as she felt bad she couldn’t offer us the free bottle of wine we were emailed as it was Valentine’s day. Thank you!

A great deal for Blue Monday came out of the "blue" and was an offer I couldn't miss. Expected a small bowl of food, but we got normal plates with plenty of pasta etc on them. Thanks Prezzo.

Have not been at Prezzo for a very long time as one is Oxford is closed, but again food was delicious, staff very nice and helpful, will definitely go back there again. Thank you

Good honest food, good honest prices

Great evening with my sons, partners, grand daughter and my partner. Food was really good, all came out on time. Service was excellent. Would recommend.

Never really liked Prezzo, overpriced fast food restaurant effectively pretending to be upmarket. Food is ok just overpriced for what it is. Annoying when they hover over you for a tip, basic service would include at the very least asking us half way through is everything ok! I’m more than happy to tip someone for doing their job if warranted! Proper Italian food over the road.

Disappointing menu changed not so good and food average pizza with not much topping, chicken over cooked and dry, pasta not cooked enough so really not good and service very slow and then have the cheek to add a service charge. Very disappointed

Fabulous food, fabulous service. Greeting was welcoming, made us feel like old friends coming to dinner. Food was fresh and my partner raved about his burger, I quote " best burger I have ever had". I eat here often with work colleagues, the staff are always lovely and accommodating, the food is good but tonight I would give more than 5 stars if I could. Impromptu dinner plans, fantastic evening.

Food was alright. Prices are inflated because of their deals for 25% off every day with certain companies. £18 for lasagna that's just as good as a ready meal... Service was great and the staff were very lovely. It was very loud inside as it was school holidays when we went so probably would visit later in the evening to avoid this.

Food was bland and underwhelming! The only thing I enjoyed was the garlic, cheese and balsamic onion bread and the wine. Expensive for bland food. Disappointing

Fantastic staff, especially the manager - you are always made to feel really welcome here. The food is incredible (highly recommend the saltimbocca, the best I’ve had outside of Italy!). Our kids are always treated really well and their food comes really quickly. They make a mean Aperol Spritz and the truffle fries are a must! Highly recommend and we’ll be back (again) really soon!

Nothing special…we can cook better at home and pay less for much better ingredients from local Farm Shops.

Maddie let us in at 9.02pm. We'd been travelling down from Wales and were hungry and tired. She welcomed us in even though it was late. Her service was wonderful and the food was sublime. Thank you so much.

We went with two of our grandchildren, aged 9 and 7. We all enjoyed the food and the service was excellent. Our waitress was efficient & fun and nothing was too much trouble.

After being seriously let down by La Caravella, my husband went to Prezzo on the off chance that they may have a table, as it was Easter Bank holiday Monday, so didn't hold out much hope, as Prezzo was busy. The lovely Manager saved the day and found us a table, saving what could have been a disastrous day into a very pleasant one. The waitress was lovely, sorry didn't get her name, as was the Manager who also served us. Many thanks to you all

2nd take away, they have reduced the pizza topping so you have to buy additions (£1.5-£3 per topping) which we got 1/4 of a mushroom (pic below). This is the 2nd time, we will not get a takeaway from this restaurant again, £15 for small pizza that you have to pickup is not worth it, they must be trying to cut costs. Real shame.

10 of us out for dinner including small children but we had a lovely table just out the way to accommodate us, the food was delicious and the service was lovely we even got a couple of free glasses as my partner liked them so much and the staff was kind enough to give him some. We will definitely be back.

My visit to Prezzo Thame was a really lovely experience. The staff were helpful and kind throughout the meal, and provided good insights into the menu. The pricing was fantastic, with the option of two courses and a drink from a set menu for £20. We decided to split the deal over a starter, two mains and a dessert. The garlic bread starter lived up to its name, being very garlicky, without overpowering the dishes to follow. Thr size was enough to share, roughly the size of a side plate. The carbonara which we both had, was filling and enjoyable, whilst the sauce could have been a bit thicker it was still an enjoyable main. The tiramisu was on the sweeter side, and a bit sticky in the middle. It was a little too sweet for me but my partner with a sweet tooth enjoyed it, the generous portion was enough to share too! Swift payment concluded a positive dining experience. Overall I will definitely be returning, as it was a pleasant evening with good food.

Went there for a pre-theatre meal before travelling to Aylesbury. Food was delicious, service was excellent and all at a good price. One of the really key things is that they listened to what we needed and delivered! Thank you guys! 🙂👍

I think it was nice time in this restaurant. The food and design they were very good. I want too say thank you for ( gentlemen ), The waiter from Greece was nice and helpful, I forgot his name again.. 💡I have a note!!!! The spaghetti with cream sauce was warm and I prefer it hot.

Food was good. The down side with this restaurant is that as it starts to fill, it gets a bit cramped down stairs in the main part. There is an upstairs, but not always available.

Great staff, foods amazing. Goats cheese and roasted peppers pizza was the bomb. Kate and Abbey, are the best in the whole of prezzo. They're great fun super happy and made the night so much more enjoyable
