The service is quite quick for our party ... Spag bol was tasteless ... Food overpriced & the quality does not warrant a service charge ... The server was very good & pleasant but the lady who sorted the bill needs a personality transplant

very good pizza and pasta! We enjoyed the lunch menu several times and it was always wonderful!

Food is very good but consistently delivered cold, which is bizarre, considering that the restaurant is merely 5 minutes walking away.

I enjoyed the tasty lunch here. The staff are friendly and helpful. The prices are reasonable in particular the lunch sets.

Ever since the black guy went,the place has gone downhill, with disrespectful teenagers running it, the kitchen was always dodgy, you just have to be careful what you choose! Haven't used it for ages!

Once again fantastic meal and service

Waitress appeared to think she was doing us a favour by taking our order. My wife had a Margherita Pizza that was anaemic and looked like a Dr Oetker frozen pizza. Otherwise OK (just).

My Fiancee and I came here just after Christmas time, the food was fantastic! I would recommend the calamari for a starter. Service was quick and they staff were ever so friendly and had a real nice warm presence.

+ nice decor and seating + good menu selection + clean and tidy - coooooooollllddd. Seriously, get some heating, Visited in January - food was average, too much garlic - mussels potentially uncooked, shells not open, was safer not to eat - automatic 10% service charge Tone is confusing. Decor, menu and prices is smart causal and it does a good job at this, but servicing staff are in hoodies and lounge wear.

Was supposed to be a pre Christmas special, but turned out to be two plates of undercooked vegetable and dried up , tough meat , fish...

Have been twice in December, had the Christmas menu. Really good choice and food superb. Shame about the customer service. Staff hanging round the bar just chatting. Tried to attract attention but was blatantly ingnored, just wanted another drink! Waited over 1/2 an hour for desert. If the staff don't want to give a good service then I suggest they do not add a service charge. Went in mid week and a Saturday evening and both times staff very inatentive. Shame really as food was exceptional, staff service awful.

We love dropping in for the two course lunch menu, especially the vegan lasagne and tirramasu. Great decor and atmos too!

Assuming the gentleman who sat us down was the manager as he seemed to lead the team a little. I was sat opposite the bar, the woman who was serving, clearing etc was constantly at the bar messing around with the bartender, who had great manners. They were hitting each other with towels and messing around which ruined the atmosphere. Overhearing conversations, one was the bartender had put two shots of alcohol instead of one and they laughed it off. That’s can be a serious issue. I had the same cocktail that they were discussing, not to mention stock control. I asked for my starter with no chilis and it came with chillis so my partner ate it. I have celiac disease, I did ask for the “non gluten option”. I assume the manager got his allergens confused as he said I couldn’t eat the pesto on my pizza so when it arrived with pesto and I questioned it he did say he’d made a mistake and I can eat it. Not once was I asked what I’m allergic to or cannot eat. My food was standard as expected for a chain restaurant. The toilets were filthy, disgusting toilet brushes, rusty taps, dust everywhere which carried on into the restaurant on the lampshades etc for a quiet restaurant I’d expect better. The staff had good manners but as soon as they stepped away from the table it’s as if they forgot they were at work. I’d expect the staff to be professional 100% of the time on shift. Presentation with food was good but I had two cocktails and the second ones appearance was very different. Double the size, no garnish as my first did have. Ending my review I would suggest the staff need more consistency and training to drive growth.

Gorgeous restaurant, great service and the food is just lovely. The vegan lasagna is delicious (I'm not vegan, just veggie, but it's so yummy I have it every time) and the tiramisu is to die for.

Had a lovely lunch with friends. Nothing left on the plates, it was so delicious. Will definitely be coming again.

Food was great, atmosphere really nice and service was good. Only marking 4 stars as we has some glasses and knives on our table that were not properly cleaned, but we made a note and they were swiftly replaced / taken away, so hopefully it was a one-off, but we will be going back. Great prices as well for the quality, and good discounts if you have a puregym membership

The food is delicious, especially piri piri pasta, which I highly recommend. The staff was very helpful, friendly and polite, especially Klaudia, who looked after us with a smile on her face all the time. We will definitely come back here😊

Service was shocking waited 45 mins for a starter for it to be wrong ordered dinner for it to come out wrong and not even get all we ordered for the waiter to not even care that we were missing bits just carried on behind the bar laughing wouldn’t come back with the terrible service.

Had a fantastic night here on Friday. Hadn't got a table booked until 8.30pm, however we got there 45 minutes early to have a drink and they found us a table next to the kitchen so we didn't have to wait. Service was impeccable, drinks constantly topped up and food was quick and lovely. Had a great laugh with the staff. Was unsure at going here at first but will definitely return. Gave a 20% tip as it was well worth it!

Gorgeous food and quick service for a decent price

Fantastic meal - excellent calamari starter followed by delicious linguine vongole. Such a treat to find clams! Loved the Pinot Grigio. So happy this restaurant has reopened. It’s like going on a mini holiday to the Med without the hassle of flights. Friendly and attentive staff. An oasis in Didcot.

I came for a work lunch. No waiting was seated straight away and served. Food was lovely. I had lasengne and the service was great.

Also a great spaghetti bolognaise here. My daughter loves it

Mixed review for a reason. I love coming here, the staff are usually lovely and the atmosphere is cozy with great food. I really want to bring my friend here but as he is blind he has a guide dog to help him maintain his independence. The other day I walked in and asked if guide dogs were allowed into the restaurant. The man I asked very quickly said no, only outdoors like other dogs. Guide dogs are not pets, they are trained working dogs who sit quietly at their owners feet. They do not run around or jump on furniture. It is against the law to refuse access to a blind person with a guide dog. Check out The Equality Act 2010. Very disappointed and I hope you do some research and be more welcoming of people with disabilities. Edit: Thank you so much for the lengths you have gone to rectify this. I appreciate it massively and I look forward to going back to you with my friend and his guide dog :)

The food that was served was 100% tasty. The restaurant was clean and tidy. The staff looked like they needed happy pills though 😆. Overall, great value for money. We will return!

Decent pizza salad Experience… will come again

Great that this restaurant is open again after being closed for a good while. Food was great, the menu hasn't changed too much. The staff were very friendly and helpful and obviously some were still learning which was great. It always had a nice atmosphere at this restaurant, with nice surroundings. There is a good children's menu. Will be coming back.

It's good to see this restaurant open again as it seemed to take much longer than others to open after the Covid pandemic. It's spacious and pleasantly decorated with good lighting. Saw the waiter who also seemed to be the bar man drinking inside the bar cubicle a few times whilst "on the job". I'm not in favour of work places where the staff can eat and drink whilst working. It wasn't particularly busy and yet it seemed to take a long time for the food to come. The pizza was well prepared although it lacked seasoning. The dessert was good although I would have preferred the custard which was served with the sticky toffee pudding to be warmer than it was. It's moderately priced but not cheap and cheerful. I would go again and also recommend this restaurant.

Really enjoy visiting this restaurant, the decor is classy, there's a good atmosphere and the food is delicious. They serve pizzas, pastas, salads, risottos and burgers and the option to make some of the dishes vegan if preferred. Children eat for £1 during the week, and the children's portions are generous and cooked with the same attention and care as the adult mains. Staff are very friendly and nothing is too much trouble. This branch of Wildwood and it's staff are a credit to Didcot.

Had a lovely evening here with a friend. The Rigatoni Speck was delicious and the blue cheese sauce was very good. A very good portion size for the money. Service was quick and the staff were polite

We had lunch, Mum chose the tomato pasta with salad and dressing off the lighter menu. She said it was the best she'd ever had, the pasta is made in house. I loved the lasagne and the service was delightful. Lovely

Upon entering the atmosphere was warm and inviting (even with the heavy door). Modern decor and relaxed vibe. A Great place for a dinner for two. Service was excellent, with friendly but not in your face servers. Food was simple yet tasty. Overall, I would recommend this restaurant.

Went in today with a friend after their reopening and unfortunately it wasn’t all that. Food was served promptly but wasn’t very flavourful. Ordered the Philly cheesesteak pizza but it had barely any steak on it. Staff were friendly but seemed overworked and tired and didn’t check back on the food or if everything was okay. Card system didn’t allow for a split bill either which is so bizarre. Wasn’t told about the 2/3-course lunch offer either so paid more than I had to. Probably won’t be returning again.

Love this restaurant. Service was great. Couldn't fault my meal, except for the lack of bread with my soup. A fun evening in place with a lovely ambience.

Booked a large table for a birthday meal, will say disappointed really. Pre ordered meal but took some time coming out, no-one came by to check if everything was OK with the meal, my partners steak was over cooked . Plus side, staff friendly

Lovely interior and service was warm and efficient. Food was a big let down. Barely warm gnocchi and no flavour of blue cheese, £4 for garlic and rosemary bread, hardly any butter/garlic on there. I was not happy to pay £50 for lunch when I could make massively better food at home.

Excellent service, not over chatty (they, I was) they gladly take "hold this and add that" on my pizza for the foodie drama queens. And rushed us in gladly to be able to get to the theatre. Only failed to ask for my mom existent food allergies

We were going to a play at Cornerstone Art Centre and this is directly opposite, so I chose more on location than menu. Menu was good. Had goats cheese salad without mushrooms. Good size portions. Service a bit slow, given that we were the only people in the restaurant (Tuesday night and coronavirus). Pleasant and friendly staff. Decor good. Would come back again.

The one star is for the nice decor and seemingly nice menu. And the one member of staff (nice blond lady) who was repeatedly mortified by the whole experience we had. For starters there was a burst water pipe, not their fault but we braved the moat outside and headed in. Seated. Ordered. Several things weren’t available and we weren’t told before deciding. The pasta special was an orecchiette pasta. The ‘chef’ sent the waitress back to ask what pasta we’d like with the orecchiette. Orecchiette IS the pasta shape. Great start. Children’s food arrived scalding hot and was placed in front of them. Thank goodness that didn’t reach straight for it - we had to move it quickly and keep it to one side for some time. We’d ordered a garlic bread to start. Told them not to hold up the mains but to bring the garlic bread ASAP. It arrived moments after the mains and so was entirely superfluous. Husband’s chicken burger (first choice not available) came with entirely hard raw sweet potato fries and missing some items on the burger. The cheese was cremated on the burnt surface. By the time it was replaced we’d all finished our food. My replacement pasta was a meatball dish and they were far and away the worst meatballs I’d ever tasted. Hard hard rocks of dense meat. Unidentifiable as meat. Just appalling. Ate the rest of the pasta which was as tasty as a jar of supermarket ragu. Having finished no one came to our table for at least thirty minutes so we ran out of time to even consider dessert and we had to get up and find a member of staff to ask for the bill. Then we were told we had to go to the till as the computer wouldn’t print. We stood around the till for at least five minutes while a manager typed codes in. Eventually he lost the order and had to start over. 15 minutes at least to pay the bill. Thankfully he wiped the drinks off so we had a discount - only because he couldn’t find them on the system. The whole experience was kind of galling. Would have been forgiven for thinking we’d been punked. Don’t go. Save yourself. And your money.

Good food nice service beautiful decor

We had an enjoyable lunch on a Sunday. The place was quiet and peaceful and the food was good. Service was cheerful, friendly and attentive but not intrusive.

Arrived for meal and was shown to a seat. Seated and left with menu that was already on the table. 15 minutes later had not been approached by a member of staff nor could I see any. All I could hear were customers around us complaining, these chips are nearly raw from one table, my burger is still alive and stone cold from another. Whilst sat at our table and still waiting for a member of staff I checked hygiene and trip advisor scores for another near by restaurant, phoned the restaurant from my table and booked a table. We then got up and left and at no point during that did we see a member of staff. In 20 minutes never got to even order a drink.

Wild wood always have interesting choices on menu, and more specials at some times. One of only places we have been who issue vegan and gluten free menu as standard. Food was cooked and presented well, and excellent flavours from all the ingredients. Staff were friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful.

Lovely place to eat, food excellent, the staff were very attentive and the surroundings were lovely. We had a very relaxing meal.

Quiet as might be expected for a Monday but clean and good food. Service was just right - there when you needed them but not overly fussing. The voucher helped make it good value for money too

We have been twice to Wildwood. Firstly with my husband and then with friends recently.For both visits the food was lovely and the staff were friendly and welcoming. Loved the ambience of the restaurant and had a cosy feel about it.

Valentine's 2019 was good, so we booked again but the menu was not as good. However we ordered off the main menu and the meatballs are great. Apparently a delivery had not arrived and the had run out of the steak by 8pm which is not good for a "special" evening.

The main courses are good but desserts are a bit lacking for the prices on the menu.

The wild boar and chorizo burger is worth going back for again and again! The service was brilliant and, with discounts available, the value was exceptional. I recommend!

Booked ahead and chose a booth to sit at. Staff really polite, friendly and helpful. Decor is contemporary, bright and interesting in a good way. We both had starters and main meals plus drinks. Food served in good time andcwell-presented. Very tasty and highly recommended. Hot tip is to look online before arriving / paying as Wildwood is a chain and lots of discounts and offers on regularly. You download the relevant code and show this prior to paying. We had 40% off as it was a Friday so made it excellent value for money. Highly recommended so Go!!

Had a family get together here and loved the food.

Had a meal at Wildwood last night. First time we have been in a good while. Food was lovely, a good variety offered including a decent gluten free menu. Reasonably priced too. Staff were friendly and attentive. Will definitely return.

My partner and I ate here on a whim on a Sunday evening. We were some of the only people in the restaurant, but the service was quick, the staff were polite and the food was good. We started with the Halloumi fries, which were delicious. Followed by a burger and a steak sandwich, which were both Devine. Would highly recommend.

The service was great, the staff vwey friendly and helpful. However the food was not great so won't be eating there again. I had mushroom risotto, the mushrooms were hard and chewy, not pleasant at all and the risotto rice was tasteless

We went for lunch before a cinema trip and the service was quick enough. We had a lovely waitress who made a very good pasta recommendation (spicy chicken penne). Been a few times now as can rely on food being consistently nice.

Took sister in law in party of 5 for birthday celebration. Restaurant very busy, and staff (esp chefs) somewhat overwhelmed. Waited 45 mins for starter, one sent back as not properly hot. One main course overcooked (lasagne), two dishes of courgette spaghetti with wholewheat penne very poor. Penne al dente to the point of crunchiness in places, garlic raw, sunblush tomatoes replaced with 4-5 cherry tomatoes leaving the dish watery and flavourless. No sign of the promised chili in sauce. Bit of a disaster, shame as we'd eaten it two weeks ago and it can be a very nice dish. So beware when kitchen is busy, you are really at the mercy of the chef on the night. Might be good, might not.

A haven of good food and good service which is otherwise difficult to find in didcot The staff are friendly and the food freshly prepared

Wildwood is a nice pasta pizza restaurant. Good for slimming world if the food is chosen well. The restaurant is right in the middle of Didcot Orchard center so great for pre show meals.

We have become regulars at this restaurant in Didcot either before or after visiting the Cineworld cinema nearby. The staff is always welcoming, particularly Angelica, Lily and Jessica and they seem to enjoy being rushed off their feet! We always recommend it to our friends and now form a very loyal following for an excellent evening.

Thought a cheeky Monday night meal would be in order to beat the January blues and with 50% off food you can’t complain!

Although relatively quiet when we walked in, it still felt warm and inviting. Been here before, but this was more spur of the moment. It didn't disappoint. Nice prompt service, no pressure or orders and served excellently throughout. Between all of us we sampled all the courses, including the coffees (which were particularly delicious... even for 'just coffee'). I won't say what we had specifically, but the Pasta was delicious and just right for portion sizes. The pizzas were well received by the younger members and drinks were all good. Definitely will return, even if some may think its at the wrong end of the Main 'Orchard' street. Its worth the extra few paces though.

We went there for an early evening, Saturday night, meal and ordered the Seafood Risotto and Mushroom Risotto. The food came far too quickly, which immediately rang alarm bells, and there was a very good reason for this when the food was tasted. My 'Seafood Risotto' was essentially boiled rice with some prawns and shellfish plonked on top and the Mushroom Risotto, which at least seemed to be cooked in some sort of stock, and not water, was also tasteless. We immediately complained and after seeing numerous staff, who didn't know what to do, a Manager came over who asked a few bizarre questions, offered to re-cook the dishes. We politely declined his gesture and left. I have no confidence that this restaurant could have produced a proper risotto. I hope their grilled and fried food is better? Personally, I'll never go back to see if this is true. Very disappointing.

Very nice food and the waiter's make the whole experience all the more better and fun for the kids

Can’t fault the front of house staff - they were friendly, efficient and accommodating. Sadly the meal itself was a big let down - the garlic bread did not taste of garlic, the pasta and meat balls was tepid when it arrived at the table and needed to be sent back. On the plus side our desserts were tasty and the wine was great value, but I definitely wouldn’t have a pasta dish here again.

Went here with my fiance for our 6 year anniversary meal. Food was delicious - we got the calamari, oven baked carbonara and a calzone. Also staff were super lovely and friendly and gave us our dessert on the house since it was our anniversary which really made our day! Would definitely go again and highly recommend.

Service was a bit lax. The food was good
