The best restaurants serving Italian food in England

Absolutely amazing, we were spoilt rotten by our waiter Ruben, he was so attentive and made our experience! I had the king prawns to start along side some dough ball's and they were both absolutely perfect. The menu offers many gluten free options which is perfect. The pasta was brilliant and there are no complaints from me or my family. We had an amazing time and definitely will be returning!

Elegimos este restaurante ya que nos apetecía una comida italiana aunque otros restaurantes de la zona parecían más populares. La comida no decepcionó, tuvimos una pasta con pesto pistacho que estaba delicioso, y una pizza crujiente de setas encantadora. Tuvimos un Pinot Grigio que era agradable.

Ordered for first time yesterday. Mixed grill with chips and a Chicken/Donar kebab. Very nice & tasty! Food was hot large portions & a free Garlic bread! Could not fault and they were dead on time! Highly recommended! This place will be my weekly regular now.

We arrived at 6.30 and had a table booked for 6 adults and 5 children. Staff were friendly but the service was slow and they were not attentive. When we needed drinks I had to walk to the bar as we were not being asked and then I had to ask again as they still did not arrive. After an hour the manager asked if we had eaten and we said we had only had starters. She said she would get the kitchen to make the food. The food was poor quality (the garlic bread with cheese was mostly without cheese) and two of the pasta dishes didn’t have the extra chillies asked for. When I went to the bar, staff were standing there on their phones whilst people were complaining all over the restaurant. We were not kept up to date with what was happening or informed of any delay. When asked we were told they were short staffed and had a lot of walk in customer. The whole experience was poor. Food was not great. Communication was nonexistent. Staff were friendly but not doing their job or providing a good service. I won’t be going back.

Lumi was wonderful and very careful with the way she took care of us!! The food was very good and we enjoyed the atmosphere.

Brilliant restaurant and inspired meals served with gusto great hospitality, genuine kindness, and admirable efficiency. The Cornwall crab pasta was incredible and the goat cheese tasted like no other, but in all fairness, everything was amazing.

Hice un pedido por teléfono, la persona que tomó mi pedido me pidió que lo repitiera tres veces debido a tener una conversación con otra persona al mismo tiempo. Llamaron y me dijeron las mujeres clientelares que no paraban de referirse a mí como “cariño” esto es lo que ordené cuando en mi opinión era el orden equivocado que obviamente se disputaba. La comida era muy pobre, evita.

After dining at Scalini in London last Friday, I can confidently say that the experience exceeded all our expectations. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, the staff were friendly and attentive, and the Italian food was absolutely delicious. It was one of the best Italian meals I’ve had worldwide. We will definitely be back, visit at your other locations on our travels. Thank you Team Scalini

Love this place, the people that work here are ace, they always read the comments/requests. Food is always hot and delivered promptly. I can say that donner wrap, donner kebab, cheese burger, chicken fillet burger, chips/cheesy chips, chicken tikka, pizzas, milkshakes and side orders are beautiful. Brilliant local take away! Thank you from the kirkdales :)

Food is always nice & usually hot but this time was luke warm to near cold & considering the delivery was early, it spoiled the food.

Mother's Day offers sent via email despite the place being closed and up for rental. Takes orders and payment on its website while permanently closed. No return of money taken fraudulently.

Food: Oysters were fine but 3 were of smaller size than the others. Fried Artichokes risotto was bland-would not recommend. Linguine with crab meat was rich and savoury and would recommend. Pan-fried monk fish was okay- could be more moist. Tiramisu was above average. Sardinian cheese with honey was nice with a citrus note. Service: Attentive waiter, however took a while to get their attention for the bill. Atmosphere: Dim, modern, suitable for dates. Bit costly for the portion.

So, this used to be my favourite pub in Oxfordshire. But over the last two years it’s just deteriorated and I have stopped going. The service became really poor and we had some subpar food on our most recent visit too. It’s table service, but the two boys waiting on us spend their whole time playing in their phones and we had to go to the bar three times for service. There they were, deep in TikTok or Candy Crush, ignoring their hungry customers. I will try again because it used to be SO GOOD. I will update if things have got better.
