The best restaurants serving Italian food in South East

On the off chance we popped on on a busy Saturday on bank holiday weekend . We’re lucky to get a table as the weather had been bad and it was quieter than expected. Owner was chatty and friendly, as were the staff. Food all delicious. Loved that I had a jug of lime to pour in my soda!

Beautiful food, fantastic staff, great menu for all tastes. We cannot recommend more highly,it's absolutely a must to go to . Price range for all budgets. Perfect little touches with complimentary warm potatoes cakes and a lemoncello after dinner 👌 The salmon with a pistachio cream and kale with garlic and chilli was superb. We will definitely be going back to try more of their menu

As a regular customer to Rays Italian, both my wife and myself would like to thank Stacey for another wonderful meal last night. We love all things Italian and this restaurant certainly presses all the right buttons for us... What do we like about Rays Italian? Lovely restaurant and staff doing a great job. This traditional Italian is always reliable - taken over by new people and just as before has reliable tasty Italian food and great service. Good pizzas, pasta and lots more Italian favourites. I had a tasty salmon in tomato sauce and tasty veg. The tiramisu is also unmissable ! Well done to all. X

We’ve been to this restaurant so many times and it’s always 5/5! Ambience and service is always fantastic Food is always delicious and fresh with lots of variety Drinks are really reasonably priced All in all love it and we’ll continue to come here!

Excellent food, faultless service. Specials Board was very special. Nice House red wine. If you’re in Newhaven early and waiting for your Ferry I doubt there is anywhere you’ll enjoy more.
