Mamma Mi in Eastbourne

Whenever we go to Eastbourne we always go here. The staff are so friendly and the food is lovely. We have been to Italy a few times ,the food here is just as good Really do recommend Mamma Mia

Si lo hay, obtienen una taza de café gratis que ha sido pagada por adelantado por un extraño anónimo.Esta es una hermosa idea que se originó en Nápoles. La gente aquí viene de Nápoles y la hospitalidad es insuperable.Está abierto todo el día y por la noche y también tiene licencia.Está limpio y preparado para el distanciamiento social y se siente totalmente seguro.Me gusta aquí. ?Muchas gracias.

Muy buena comida, variedad limitada de platos, pero todos los platos son muy agradables, personal muy servicial. Las pizzas tienen un buen precio y la base de masa / pizza es muy buena. Ambiente relajado de cafetería, más que ambiente de restaurante, aunque el servicio era bueno. Le recomendamos que elija sus propios ingredientes para la pizza, ya que algunos no son del agrado de todos.

Mis langostinos estaban crudos, lo envié al plato, regresó con langostinos descascarados y seguro que todo estaba en el microondas, ya que la pasta era terrible. No recomendaría este lugar, ya que no estaba seguro cuando lo caminaba tan sucio y solo hacen un menú italiano, seguramente harían su propia pasta y ñoquis, pero justo al pasar la cocina había algunas bolsas ABIERTAS justo afuera del tiolet. ?

Muy impresionado con la comida y el servicio, Gianpaolo fue muy amable y servicial, cocina italiana muy auténtica, todo está recién cocinado, el chef Davide es increíble, nunca desapareció, todo viene caliente y muy bien presentado.Bien hecho

Este restaurante ni siquiera merece una estrella. Desafortunadamente, este fue el segundo restaurante italiano que visité anoche que me rechazó por estar solo. We stumbled across Mamma Mi around 5 years ago. It's certainly a hidden gem in Eastbourne and our firm favourite Italian. We are never disappointed by the wonderful authentic dishes and the variety on offer. The relaxed atmosphere amd decor gives you a real sense of being in Italy and the friendly welcoming staff make you feel at home. We wouldn't go to any other italian in Eastbourne now, just beautiful food.

GianPaulo was amazing, truly enjoyed, especially bruschetta, very authentic place!!! Highly recommend!

Deliciosa pizza (allí con lo mejor que hemos probado, incluso en Italia) y el camarero más amable para quien nada era demasiado problema. ¡Y a un precio muy razonable! Just a very short walk for me is my favourite little Italian restaurant in Eastbourne. Good food, very reasonably priced with a friendly owner and staff.

Le panini (véritable recette napolitaine avec pâte à pizza) est excellent, tout comme les pizzas ! La "simple" margarita est délicieuse ! Très bonne adresse et service sympathique.

I visited this restaurant with my partner. Its' location is close to the Eastbourne train station. The food tasted great, the portions were fair and the cost about £8-10 per main dish. This restaurant has also some good lunch deals including a main course and a fizzy drink for £7 or a main course and an alcohol drink (wine or beer) for £8. The staff is polite and very friendly Italians. Definitely recommend it.

We have been here a couple of times and will be back as soon as we can. The service is friendly, knowledgeable and efficient, the food is excellent with a good choice especially of delicious deserts. Very reasonably priced and can’t wait to return!

We had looked forward to the buffet as customers on TripAdvisor had rated it well. It was weird it being a buffet yet we were not allowed to serve ourselves. It was like a supermarket salad bar where you were handed out your small portion of 6 choices dished out with what looked like a teaspoon. The resulting plate was then put in a microwave which resulted in different degrees of 'hotness'. In addition, some of my cauliflower was inedible. So, overall disappointing.

Whilst there are several Italian Restaurants in Eastbourne of which we have tried them all this one is by far the best . Traditional Italian cafe with amazing homemade food and so reasonable. This time we had the delicious croquettes followed by Calzone . So tasty . Service friendly and good . Can't wait to go back again .

We have been to this restaurant last weekend and absolutely loved it. I had the calzone and my mother in law the vegetarian pizza and it's been the best pizza we have had in a long time. The chairs are a bit uncomfortable but the atmosphere was cosy and the waiters very attentive.

We found Mamma Mi by accident, while looking for somewhere else, but it was an accident that was meant to be. We had lunch, my wife had canneloni and I had the seafood linguine. Both were as good if not better than anything we've eaten in Italy. Service was friendly and prices were not bad at all. We will be back for more and can happily recommend it.

First time I’ve visited this little gem and was amazed how the food was. I ordered carbonara and it was the best carbonara I’ve tried in Eastbourne. I highly recommend here and I look forward to coming back again very soon.

Mamma Mi is a down-to-earth restaurant with authentic Italian good food and lovely staff. When we visit family in Eastbourne, we go there regularly during the day, sometimes just for coffees, other times for pizza, buffet dishes or pasta and we will come back again and again. So, I really can recommend it.

This location has been a number of different eateries over the last few years. Now, the current incarnation of Mamma Mia is serving very good simple Italian food at reasonable priices. Open at lunchtime and late week into weekend evenings. All in all, excellent food in tidy surroundings with friendly staff.

This restaurant is a little gem with excellent, friendly service, great food and with very reasonable prices too. We will definitely be back soon. Thanks to all the staff!

We went there for my birthday with my partner and our two children. We were a bit disappointed to be put in the back room, between the stairs and the fridge.

A good place to drop in for coffee or lunch, or even breakfast or dinner. The range of A La Carte and pre-prepared cold counter are highly recommended

We like the food here and keep hoping the place will get better. We visited and my wife had the garlic bread with cheese, which was fresh and tasty. I had the dried ham and salami, which came with stale supermarket bread!

I have eaten here twice now in the past month. I could not have been more impressed with my first visit. The Aperol Spritz was like I make them at home, strong and fizzy, YUM. A fabulous welcome from the owner, from Naples, and this place does feel like a bit of Italy in Grove Road. I asked for my favourite Italian dish which wasn't on the menu, hey presto, he said no problem, the chef can do that. And my goodness it was amazing.

We found this place on a day trip to Eastbourne thanks to Trip Advisor.

First time here and we were very impressed. The starters prevented a 5 start rating as the bruschetta was a bit dry and burnt. However, the mains very much redeemed this. The linguine pescatore was incredible, amazing flavours with loads of fresh shellfish.

Very rarely write reviews but had to for this place. So nice to eat at a genuine Italian and not one of the usual dull and predictable chain restaurants. Not much to look at from the outside but the food is absolutely delicious - pasta was a hit for all of the family and the desserts were outstanding. Definitely with a visit if you're in the area.

My wife & I were looking at the menu in the window of Mamma Mi when our GP rushed out to say that it was first class and we really should try it. We didn't have the time that day but the following week we went in for brunch and have subsequently taken friends there for dinner. Our GP was not wrong!

For the price of a MacDonald's value meal I sampled some of the best of Naples' culinary heritage. I sampled four dishes for only 5 pounds. I heartily recommend.

The restaurant fells proper italian, EXELENT service, and the best Lingiuni Pescadore i ever tasted - big portion also (my husband couldn't finish his) And the owner even gave us a discount on a italian wine he recomended us.

Very good food, giving that truly "Home Cooked" authentic taste. All the food is cooked fresh to order and while not fancy is very tasty and excellent value for money. Whilst my wife was having regular hospital visits this was our go to restaurant before she went in and (don't tell the hospital) but we had takeaways to help make her stay more bearable - Thank-you very much for that.

We drove from Hailsham to have something substantial to eat. We left at 16.15. Arrived before 16.45, their opening hours 8am - 18.00. Sat down, asked for menu was told kitchen closes an hour before ie 17.00..husband not amused to be told that at 16.45. So now in Morgan's and will not return to Mamma Mia.

With really lovely food served with a smile. Mamma Mia is our favourite italian restsurant. Also a great place to have coffee and pastries, it's our go to cafe/restaurant. The staff are really fun and love a bit of banter with their customers. We go there often and have never been disappointed.

This place is easy to walk past without noticing it (as I have many times!), but it's really rather special inside. It feels very authentically Italian, and the staff are all Italian. The décor is attractive and classy, the music is played at the perfect volume, and the staff are very friendly. We had the lunch buffet, which offered a large choice of tasty and healthy dishes (mostly vegetarian). The desserts looked delicious, but we were too full after the buffet, so we'll have to try them another time. Well worth visiting this little corner of Italy...

Visited on a rainy Sunday and the restaurant was not too busy. We just had a snack of coffee and garlic bread. The food and drink was good, however bit disappointed to see so many tables in cleared, and for a while. We were a little unsure of what to expect initially given the untidy tables and that whilst not unwelcomed, felt that the one member of staff was a little busy. We would go back, as the coffee was good.

Came here as my partner had always wanted to! We were not disappointed! Pizza’s were lovely! Only thing I wish we had done was got one to share as our eyes were bigger than our bellies! But that’s not a bad thing on portion size! Also had an iced coffee which was so good I got one to take away with me when I left! Will be going again :)

I keep coming back to this wonderful Italian restaurant for their great buffet and good house wine. As soon as you walk through the door one of the waiter's or owner takes your order and if you decide to choose from the buffet you are given 4 choices of delicious rations razionis.

Went for the first time today, the restaurant is small and cozy, only a couple of indoor tables. Decor is dated but not taccy as it brings character due to it all being related to Italy.

Have been coming to this fabulous place for best part of a year now.Coffee is superb along with a variety of other drinks on offer.The food lunchtime is a buffet style extremly reasonable with plenty of choice.Dinner is like any great Italian resturant again plenty of choice.I recomnend linguine pescatoria (fish linguine).Plenty to get excited about which is rounded off by the fantastic service.The two best personalities that stand out so warming friendly welcoming are Genaro and the lovely louisa...nothing is too much trouble.Excelkent service.Very happy customers...always.

Called in here on the way to watch cricket, what a good find it was! Good choice of breakfast and coffees . Food ordered and after a short wait the breakfasts were served. The food was outstanding and ample sized portions, all cooked fresh. The waitress was very friendly. Selection of teas and coffees available . Very good value for money.

Called in early Sunday morning after travelling from Essex to visit Saffrons for a cricket match. Coffee and teas just fine and excellent freshly cooked breakfast.

Been past a million times and finally went in this evening to eat with my other half. Food was brilliant very fresh and tasty, the best Italian I have eaten in a long time. Went on a freezing April evening and despite there being only a handful of customers the atmosphere was very pleasant and the staff friendly and extremely helpful including providing a takeaway container for our left over olives. Good thin crust pizza and a nice touch is that you can order extra chillies at no cost. A laid back no nonsense family restaurant. The complimentary drinks with coffee also was a good warming touch on a cold night !

Food is still good and excellent coffee, but the place has become dirty. A visit to the toilet brings back the smells of Naples. There are trays of pizza dough stacked on the floor, the kitchen is 2metres from the toilets and the food mixer is working on the floor. The toilet was dirty and smelly and had not been cleaned for a while. It has made us think twice about returning.

We visited this place at lunchtime and it was straight out of any town or city backstreet local restaurant/cafe in Italy staff were funny friendly attentive and very helpful there was a small wait for our order that when the pizza came it was traditionally Italian wonderful base quality tomato and mozzarella with hundred cent first grade toppings we couldn't manage a desert but we had a coffee which was amazing and we ended up buying a bag of beans to take home with us you must visit the place even if it's just for the coffee

I got there early and had a drink whilst completing some work with no stress. Once my sister arrived we had a drink and space to chat. When we got around to ordering food it was lovely.

Went here on Saturday with some friends as we were heading off to the theatre for a a 50th birthday. First time here, this was based on good reviews on TripAdvisor.

We booked early thank goodness as it is a very busy restaurant. The staff are hilariously funny and welcoming with wit and charming banter. We went for the buffet meal which was tasty and generous. It was amazing we arrived at 1pm and left at 3:15, we had a lovely time. Oh, the coffee is quite delicious. We will be back soon...highly recommended...

Genuine Neapolitan restaurant. Good, simple food. Simple decor. Central location round the corner from the Station. Friendly and helpful staff.

My wife and I eat there when visiting the town, and recently took a friend along. There is a chilled buffet bar, a la carte, and daily specials. Most of the buffet selection is available daily. Food is then heated. The a la carte and daily are cooked from scratch. The owner is the chef and creates a welcoming atmosphere. Food is mainly Italian but with some Spanish and British choices also. All very tasty.

Excellent fresh and homemade cakes and great coffee. You can also buy the freshly ground coffee to take home. Very tasty pizzas and good value lunch buffet

A friendly café-restaurant with an outstanding and reasonably-priced lunch buffet plus a number of Italian specialities, sometimes with a concession to Uk taste. One of the few places in Eastbourne where you can get a good expresso and where they understand the meaning of a "caffè lungo".

The restaurant was nice and cozy, with great selection of dishes at a very good price. I did enjoy my meal and coffee, so did my mother! I was so tempted to try the dessert, however the portion was so filling that made my pudding stomach go away. I strongly recommend this place.

I've been something of a regular over the past two years. Popping in for a plate of Seafood Linguine and a glass of red at lunchtime before the school run. Even if the Seafood Lingine is not on the specials board the chef will always freshly prepare it. I've had this dish all over Italy but never as good as at Mamma Mi in humble East bourne. Gennaro always greets with a big, cheery Ciao making sure everyone who comes through Mamma Mi' s doors feels incredibly welcome. It is, quite simply the nicest cafe in Eastbourne serving the very best, freshly prepared and authentic Italian food.

Great fun. I went twice on consecutive days. Pizzas were very nice and so was the pasta. Very nice service and affordable prices.

We have just had the most fantastic pizza party at Mamma Mi where 12 children from 3-6 years old made their own dough (with help from parents), prepared their pizza and helped to put it in the oven. A truely authentic and memorable experience for all. Best of all, they tasted AMAZING too and were well and truely devoured as party food (never seen little people eat so much!). It was the first children's party they had held and Louisa (beautiful 'front of house' lady) and Davido (pizza chef extraordinnaire) really did an amazing job at managing the logistics and making everyone feel so welcome. It was an excellent, value for money, delicious experience. Thank you all so much!!!

The service and staff at this restaurant made our visit a brilliant experience. Huge amount of character and really good food. We had just made a 9 hour drive from south west Cornwall and felt totally re-energised within minutes of being seated.

I return to this restaurant on a regular basis, purely because of friedly feel . The staff work so hard to make every visit memorable. The food and coffee are always of an excellent standard.

There isn't another place for loads of miles where to eat authentic Napolitan/Italian food and the prices are incredibly fair
