This restaurant was amazing, we have been tonight and had a delicious 3 course meal, food and service brilliant, thank you.

This is a fantastic Italian restaurant with an extensive menu and wine list. It certainly caters to all tastes. I had the Penne Polio ai funghi with a creamy sauce and my wife had the Penne arabiata, both excellent. We finished off sharing a trio of cleansing gelato. I highly recommended this restaurant.

I have just spent a few days in Eastbourne with my elderly aunt. We were staying nearby and visited this lovely restaurant on our second evening. We are so glad we did as we returned on the following two evenings, until the end of our stay. The menu is extensive, the food fresh and flavoursome and the atmosphere relaxed and friendly. The staff were incredibly warm, accommodating our needs in a very helpful manner. Thank you for three excellent meals - sea bass, pizza and pasta - on three consecutive evenings. Above all, thank you for making feel so welcome.

Good food good service - need to expand vegetarian options

An unassuming great Italian restaurant with a wide variety of dishes from which to choose and a fabulous atmosphere. We enjoyed it so much we booked to return the next night.

We went to Rosetto restaurant on Wednesday for dinner and loved the restaurant, the Staff (especially Nancy) and all the other Waiting staff, the atmosphere and, more importantly, the food. It was delicious (Tiramisu was yummy 😋) We liked it so much we booked to go back the next night and we will certainly visit again when we are in Eastbourne. I'd post photos but can't see how to do it.

Lovely little Italian in the heart of Eastbourne freindly staff and food was fab ,didn't book but managed to get a table for 3. Will be returning in December before out trip to The Congress .

Served with wrong meal, waited 30 mins for correct, no apology and when declined to pay the manager threatened to call the police

Small simple, warm and friendly, great atmosphere for a great meal. We dined pre-theatre from the specials board. I had Seabass fillets with a lemon butter and my dinner partner, cannelloni with veal. my Dining partner thoroughly enjoyed and cleared the plate. I was bowled over by the size of the portion and the quality of the fish and the delicious vegetables and lemon butter sauce served with them. The staff were friendly, informative and helpful. Based on this experience, I highly recommend The Rosetto. Enjoy.

Amazing food and fantastic service. We tried it once a couple of weeks ago before the theatre and been there twice since and planned another booking for the 12th of September.

I am posting this review because I emailed the restaurant about this matter but have had no reply, so the poor service continues! On Saturday 10 August I booked a table for 3 people for 6pm, we were a few minutes late arriving due to parking but not by more than 5 minutes. Two of my party ordered from the pre theatre menu and had 2 courses which you advertise as £16.95. The other person ordered from the specials. Our starters were served quickly but we then waited a long time for the mains. Upon asking about our main course at 7pm we were told it would be 5 minutes, in fact it arrived at 7:15 piping hot, too hot to eat. This meant that we were unable to eat our food and had to ask for it to be put into containers to take away. We explained that the theatre show started at 7:30 and your waitress said not to worry, it would probably start at 7:45, she was totally wrong, it started at 7:30 on the dot so just as well we didn't take her advice! I have now realised that you also overcharged us, the bill states 2 course pre theatre £19.95 when in fact your menu states 2 courses are £16.95! I am so disappointed in your service, especially because my husband and I had visited just a month ago and had a wonderful meal, served quickly and all delicious. To have recommended to my friends that your restaurant was great and then experience such poor service and then be overcharged is embarrassing to say the least.

We have been coming to Rosetto for several years now and this small family run restaurant continues to deliver. A large menu with specials of the day, a simple wine list and friendly service is what you get here. No frills but good quality raw materials cooked well. Always on our list to return.

Good food at good price and quickly made to order, but no hovering or rush to get you out; wine tad pricey. Busy so book.

We spontaneously got a seat for four because we wanted to eat a little earlier. Otherwise, be sure to reserve at least in the high season. Super delicious food from the starters to the main courses to the desserts. There is more than pizza and pasta here. But they are great too. Not cheap, but for us it was worth it.

Lovely buzzy ambiance for an early evening meal. Service was friendly and professional. Delicious whitebait starter and crab linguine main (both were specials of the day).

Great restaurant and service. Food quality and taste is great. They don’t do mocktails, but if you request them for it, they’ll do you a really good one with oranges, lemon and strawberry syrup. lovely retro music too :)

The pasta was very delicious, the attention and they let us enter with our dog.

Moderately busy Wednesday night. Had the antipasto misto which was great value. Followed by pizza with chicken and mushroom. Great base and tangy sauce. Chicken tender. Colleague's carbonara was very rich and looked great. Staff were nice too. Grazie mille.

Visited with Friends for dinner that's was very disappointing. Two of us ordered the prawn cocktail special for a starter one plate had 3 prawns and the other two prawns they sat on some salmon mousse with a few salad leafs the other two starters were ok. The mains where three was passable but nothing for what's being charged and one friend had the chicken escalope with pasta that was extremely disappointing, the escalope was dried out and tough that was awful. The response by member of staff was poor when I suggested they knock this off the bill that was refused. I will say that the complaint about the lack of Prawns and the dried out chicken was at the end of the meal were we should have said something during the meal. All in all for a £50.00 a head meal that included a bottle of house wine and an over charged bottle of prosecco it was very disappointing. Folks there are other Italian restaurants within 10 minutes walk that are better and cheaper.

Having been coming here for years and it is still the go to place for an evening meal out. Went on a packed Saturday night and everything was as faultless as always. Amazing food and attentive front staff. Will be visiting for many years to come!

Nice atmosphere, lovely staff, as a vegetarian we had amazing choices. My friends had a wonderful tagliatelle with crab followed by a traditional tiramisu. I had the most amazing crepe cannelloni florentina followed by a lemon cheesecake. The cocktails was so tasty and refreshing. The food was amazing. Will come back for sure!

What a fab little find, very busy with tables booked but the lovely lady found us a table downstairs. We had calamari for starters which was lovely, also mushroom bruschetta, one of the best I have had. Mains carbonara for me which I could have licked the plate clean, other half had calzone which portion size was massive. Very much enjoyed. I highly recommend a visit especially if you are planning to go to the theatre as it’s across the road. We will defo be back. Staff were the loveliest team and very friendly. Thanks

I had the lemon bass fillets off the specials menu. It was divine. Glad to see there were gluten free options too. Would deffo eat here again if we came back to the area. There were 3 of us dining. 2 drinks each. £90

Spag bol tasteless....in fact a dolmio sauce would probably taste better ...al forno better as well... Didn't hang about...

Superb food and good service. We ate there on a Saturday night pre-theatre. You could choose from I'm a pre-theatre set menu or full a la carte. My wife had an excellent sea-bass and I had a delicious creamy mushroom and chicken risotto. Highly recommended.

We were staying nearby for one night and hadn’t booked anywhere for dinner so took a stroll. This lovely restaurant was busy and so we chanced a table for two. I’m so glad we did! The all women team made us feel so welcome. The specials were varied and we both went for the prawn cocktail - it was the best I’ve ever had! Mains were absolutely delicious too and I wish we’d had room for desserts! I would return in a heartbeat the next time we are in Eastbourne - this restaurant was one of the highlights of our rare night away.

Myself and my wife visited Rosetto on a whim yesterday to celebrate her birthday and I have to say it was utterly fantastic. The atmosphere was good, the service superb and the food absolutely excellent. The cheeky snifter with coffee was a lovely touch. We loved it and will certainly be back. Thank you!

We popped in on a quiet Thursday evening. What a gem. The lovely waitress and food was exquisite. The best lasagne I've ever had. We will definitely return and highly recommend the restaurant. !!

I last posted a review 2 years ago, scoring a 5. We have been back a number of times travelling from another county to eat here. However tonight's experience was at the other end of the ratings. Not sure what has happened but my fish was cold, it went back to the kitchen coming back not much warmer. My husband had nearly finished his meal which was meant to be a celebrity evening. We decided to call it a day and didnt stay for dessert. The staff were ok, but not massively engaging and we felt they were going through the motions with a disingenuous apology. Time to bring this chapter to a close, a once great restaurant but unfortunately no longer.

This was my first visit. Though friends have been telling me to go for ages. First as you walked in the door there was a real buzz. Was full and the atmosphere was great. The food was excellent. A Prawn Cocktail. But not the old 70s one. Was superb. Followed by Tagliatelle and crab. Dressed in the shell with garlic. Quite delicious dessert well I’ll have to go back. I was to full from the first two courses. Even though this lovely restaurant was full the service was very good. I will return highly recommend.

A very nice restaurant, good food but expensive for what it is. The most over priced drinks ever.

We have been here a couple of times before and there has always been consistency in the high standard of food and service. Prawn cocktail was like I had never had before with a delicious Salmon mousse to set off the prawns. Cannelloni with veal was delicious as was the steak. Whilst we were there the staff were making an anniversary couples evening extra special with confetti and decorations on their table. They go the extra mile. We have got to know Jess and she is always there with a smile and excellent suggestion's for food. Always a good evening. Thank you Rosetto!

My wife and i popped in for a meal and will be going back. Great service and lovely food. My wife loves italian food and she thought this was one of the best she had ever had. I'm a bit of an all round eater but loved the meal and the place. Thanks to everyone there.

Have been here before whilst on our annual trip to Eastbourne for the pantomime . Always excellent service and fabulous food.

We stumbled upon the restaurant whilst walking to our hotel. The staff were super friendly and really accommodating with dietary requirements from gluten free to vegan. All their food is made fresh in their kitchen and tasted amazing. The restaurant had a lovely atmosphere and would really recommend visiting

A cosy little restaurant with a lovely ambience, very good food and service. The blackboard starter of whitebait was quite large and a little too much battered but tasty. The smiling waitress suggested a small plate of spaghetti with clams to follow which was perfect and delicious.

We had a fantastic meal at Rosetto before attending an event at a local hotel. The staff were extremely welcoming and friendly throughout our visit, and nothing was too much trouble for them. The food is all fresh and cooked to order, which is really evident in both the quality and presentation. This really is a hidden gem of a restaurant in Eastbourne, and we will certainly return now we have found it.

Excellent food! Nice tasty seabass and as a starter cozze al pomadore, nice lasagne all just perfect!! The Negroni had prosecco, which is also nice! A Negroni can have that…otherwise it is too ginny anyway

This cozy Italian restaurant has left the best impressions! Hospitable hosts, delicious dishes, beautiful presentation…I recommend to everyone! Can’t wait to return and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend to anyone looking for somewhere to eat in.

We went as a walk in. Staff were not the usual friendly kind ive come across in the numerous italians ive been to before. Starter was adequate. Mains passable considering we both ordered one of the more expensive offerings, don't order garlic bread if more than one person wants some as you get 2 slices. The desserts were extremely disappointing....The cream is squirty cream and you get the size of a 50p and the tiramasou was the worst I've ever had. We had a bottle of pinot which was cheap and disappointing. There are absolutely loads of Italian restaurants in Eastbourne so go elsewhere.

The restaurant was able to accommodate us on late notice. Upon arrival at this establishment, waiters and waitresses were friendly apart from one, who seemed to take a disliking to us. Very unfriendly, and despite us ordering one of the starters as a main meal, they only gave us two small pieces of bread and subsequently charged us for more bread. The tagliatelle special was watery and had no flavour. Waiter put the plates down without asking which meal was whose. Despite being an authentic Italian restaurant, we were not offered parmesan with our pasta mains.

I didn't enjoy the food. It is overpriced for the quality you get. I had seafood spaghetti. The mussels were dry. I came on a busy day (the airshow) and I was told that it was extremely busy so I shouldn't expect any better!

We came at a BUSY time for the Restaurant. The Eastbourne Airshow. We were sat outside because we were told that there were no tables inside. Only to watch the next group come in and be offered a table inside because someone had finished with the table inside (we know that they did not have a reservation) . We asked why we couldn't have the table inside instead and was met with confrontation from the staff. Then, after getting a table indoors after a LONG wait, we ordered our food and was disappointed. The margharita pizza we ordered came as a meat and olive pizza and when we asked we were responded with a question of 'so what, you don't want this one?' No we want what we ordered please. The mussels we ordered were dry and not cooked properly and in the end left uneaten. One prawn in the seafood only. The steak was JUST ok, but not worth the price they were asking, as well as the £2 surcharge for sauce. Overall, we would not come back, nor could we recommend this to dine in.

*ALLERGIES REVIEW* this place is fantastic for nut allergy service! Very knowledgeable, educated & extremely conscientious. Knew ingredients but also double checked & also showed us packaging for extra piece of mind. Going the extra mile which makes us allergy parents, very happy. Food is incredible, so much so that we went back again the night after. Thank you for being amazing, we wish more restaurants were like you.

Amazing service & very tasty, fresh food. Nothing seem’s too much for any of the staff. We have eaten here several time’s and are always very, very satisfied and full. Their profiteroles are to die for!! You won’t be disappointed dining in this family run restaurant.

Met friends here for dinner and a catch up, what can i say ? all of the good reviews are quite right. Great service lovely food , close to the theatre and a short walk to the seafront Will definately visit again.

My wife, myself and our best friend visited this restaurant last night for the first time and were beyond impressed with the food and the service. We all chose the three course pre theatre dinner offer. My wife is a Coeliac and they catered for her dietary requirements very well with GF pasta. Every course was absolutely delicious, beautiful flavours and well presented. Staff were friendly and attentive. This is a restaurant we have been meaning to try for some time and will definitely return in the not too distant future. Brilliant all round. We can’t praise the flavours of the food enough, thank you! Don’t visit this restaurant unless you LOVE amazing Italian food!!!

We dinned twice at the restaurant last week, the staff were friendly, efficient and the food well worth paying for, the portions were large and as we were the last ones in, the staff shared there water melon with us! The whole place had a family feel to it with children occasionally appearing from down stairs.
