Beautiful food, fantastic staff, great menu for all tastes. We cannot recommend more highly,it's absolutely a must to go to . Price range for all budgets. Perfect little touches with complimentary warm potatoes cakes and a lemoncello after dinner 👌 The salmon with a pistachio cream and kale with garlic and chilli was superb. We will definitely be going back to try more of their menu

Serving staff delightful and did their best for us, kitchen definitely overstretched. Starters fine but an hour's wait for mains. Daughter's carbonara like scrambled egg with burnt bacon. Couldn't face waiting even longer for dessert. A shame as could be so much more...

Starter was okay. The main was bland but I was so hungry after waiting nearly 2 hours. I asked the waiter for salt and pepper and she seemed very annoyed at me. She said Italians find it offensive if you ask for salt and pepper, however we are not in Italy and I can't taste my food as it is so bland. Its a shame because this restaurant used to make such beautiful food. Must have changed hands

We enjoyed a warm welcome from the waiters on arrival and were shown to our seats. The waiter heading to Mercia was particularly friendly. I chose the salmon and prawns with sauté potatoes recommended by the waitress which was tasty. My husband said his duck was very good. On the desserts my husband’s Tiramisu was fine but my chocolate pudding tasted salty to us. We mentioned this to the waitress when she asked why I had left it and she said, ‘There’s no salt in it I watched them make it!’ There is a training need there I feel.

I used to visit this restaurant on a regular basis but found another better local alternative. I went back to Little Sicilian with a friend last Thursday for the first time in about 18+ months to see if / how things might have changed. We were, to say the least, very disappointed. We arrived at 7.20 for a 7.30 reservation. We were welcomed and shown to our table immediately and gave our order shortly after. We then waited about half an hour for starters to arrive. Unfortunately, at 9.20, two hours after arriving, we got fed up waiting for our main courses and asked for our bill up to that point. This was brought to our table without a single word of apology. The restaurant was not busy but the speed of service was atrocious. On a positive note, starters were excellent. Shame we didn’t get to mains though! If you’re looking for the BEST Italian restaurant in Broadstairs “Sardinia” wins in every respect.

There is a plethora of Italian restaurants in Broadstairs, but as a local, in my view only two are worth a visit. Alberto the Chef de Cuisine and owner is of Sicilian descent and brings the joy of dining on the delightful island into every aspect of his charmingly intimate establishment. The ingredients are carefully chosen from the very best local suppliers, and are wonderfully fresh. His menu, including the daily specials, offers many truly original delights, and the cooking and presentation of each dish is truly unequalled in the area. Alberto has clearly taken similar care with his wine list, so the best of both Italian and Sicilian wine are represented. Levels of service from the skillful and enthusiastic team are exceptional, in fact it's not unusual to have a dish served by Alberto himself. Such levels of care and personal attention are quite unusual. One word of caution. This is called The Little Sicilian as it is quite small, so be sure and book you table to avoid any risk of disappointment.

The Little Sicilian isa smaller restaurant located in a side street about 5 minutes away from the town centre, UIt was fairly quiet on the evening we dined here. The service was exemplary .A varied choice on the menu. One of us had Pork Medallions and the other the Duck both of which were good. The only negative for us was the price of wine even the house was wine was vastly marked up.

If I could rate this place zero, I would… I’ve never been thrown out of a restaurant before for complaining about their food. The owner is clearly temperamental about their shop bought baguettes and their frozen chips, served with tepid carbonara…great negronis, though…there are better Italians in Broadstairs.

We booked on line a few days before to make sure we got a table, we were having a belated celebration of my husbands birthday. On the day of the reservation we got a call to ask if we could come in 30 mins before. When we arrived we were sat at a table for 4 which we didn’t mind as the tables for 2 are awfully close to others or in awkward spots. We sat and waited. Another couple were seated about 15 mins after us. We were then asked if we wanted “another” drink to which we said we hadn’t even had one yet so ordered a bottle of wine. About 15 mins later, the other couple were handed food (we still hadn’t ordered). I flagged down a waiter and said that we still hadn’t had our order taken. He was very kind and apologetic and took our order (we ordered from the veggie/vegan menu). We were then approached by the host who asked if we could move to the other seats on our table to make way for another table of two who were seated on an awkwardly positioned table. 5 mins later our first course arrived. The bruschetta was delicious and full of flavour, the arancini was bland and lacked seasoning. 10 mins after our starters our waiter came back and said “I’m so sorry to ask this but could we move you both to a different table so we can use this one for a table of 4”: We obliged and helped the waiter move our stuff. About 10 mins later, my partners main and side arrived…nothing for me, but other tables were also getting their food. My partner went to use the loo while we waited and when he got back my food still hadn’t arrived. I spoke to a server who went to check and a few mins later came back with my main and side. ALL food was cold, the pasta was on the harder side, kind of chewy. The flavours were all okay. The fries which were listed as deep fried chips for £3.95 were a small bowl of McDonalds fries, it was as though they had gone to McDonald’s and got a bulk order on fries for the night. We didn’t stay for desert as the whole evening had been mediocre at best. We had always wanted to visit the little Sicilian but we certainly won’t be returning and I won’t be recommending to friends.

We had a lovely family meal here this evening. We were just looking for a nice, relaxed family meal with our 2 young daughters and it was perfect. The girls loved the kids menu which had really generous portions and was delicious, and my husband and I really enjoyed our mains. We were pushed for time so unable to stay for desserts but definitely would if we went back! A lovely local, super friendly restaurant, which considering it was almost full at 6.30pm on a Wednesday evening speaks volumes!! Thank you.

Not only the food is amazing, authentic and cooked to perfection but all the staff went over and beyond to make us feel welcome and to make sure that we had a great experience. It has an authentic italian menu, with plenty of vegan and vegetarian choices so everyone can enjoy. Amazing Amazing Amazing! We had the breaded fried anchovies, veggie arancini (sooo good!), pasta with crab sauce, and deep fried seafood but I only took pics of the last one as we ate the rest before taking any picture 😅

A must do if you're visiting Broadstairs; make sure to book! Very cute and atmospheric, with very friendly knowledgeable staff. Special mention for Briar, who is fab. Everything we had was impeccable, but the catch of the day; one lemon sole, one sea bass deserve a special page of their own. Simply grilled, and accompanied with v flavoursome sides. We chose 2 x saute potatoes, the chilli and garlic kale, and the green beans. Absolutely delicious. Bottle of pinot, 2 x tiramusu, 2 x amazing espresso martini and 2 complimentary limoncellos! Ultimate satisfaction. A definite recommendation, we can't wait to return the next time we visit

We have been here many times and always had a fabulous experience. It is lovely to have properly traditional Sicilian meals, which do differentiate the restaurant from your classic Italian restaurants, and the atmosphere and service is always top notch. Have to give an extra shout out tonight as the menu did not include our daughters’ (10 and 4) usual favourite but when I mentioned it to the waitress she (of her own volition) asked the kitchen and they made it as a special one off for them. My daughters inhaled it as usual and it was hugely appreciated that they went to this extra effort. Do go here - we have only good things to say and are looking forward to returning again very soon.

We first tried this restaurant a couple of years ago and it was amazing. The food was really delicious and there was a great atmosphere. It felt very authentically Italian. However returning this year something has clearly changed. The whole feel of the place was different and the food was not great. I gather there has been a change of ownership or chef, and sadly it shows. I had a pretty tasteless seafood risotto and my husband's pork was extremely salty. The staff were very friendly but I'm afraid the food was not a patch on what it was and we were very disappointed.

After the little personnel blip in late 2023 and the sad loss of Pietro and Alex, the Llttle Sicilian has returned in belting form. The new front of house team are friendly and welcoming and Roberto is steering the back of house team to even greater heights of culinary excellence. Our lunch today was truly fabulous. I have enjoyed the Agnello Rustico before, but todays offering with the green bean side was just amazing. Broadstairs is very lucky to have such a good range of quality restaurants and the Little Sicilian is one of the best places to enjoy authentic Italian cuisine in town. Roberto and the team are really delivering the goods. Keep up the excellent work!

I don’t even know where to start for this review as exceptional and extraordinary are not enough to describe my visit at Little Sicilian Restaurant in Broadstairs. I had a very high expectations from this restaurant as my sister did have lunch here before last summer and still talk about it with high regards and awe. Lunch for two, with my sister, on Saturday 3rd February lunchtime, we were greeted by a lovely waitress with a nice table by the window, nicely set, as we start our lunch journey with a basket of bread, and some mixed olives and as it simply as it sounds the olives, a mix between black and white marinated, were full of distinctive flavours to combine even a plain slice of white bread. Then we share the started by two, “Sardine alla Beccafico”, which set the tone for lunch with a beautiful feast for the eyes, 3 lovely sardines butterflied open and battered, served with spiced red onion jam, capers, raisin, pine nut topped with peashooter salad and pink peppercorn mayo as decoration. A very sophisticated dish, beautifully executed empowering every single ingredient with every bite. I would have gone for a second and third portion if it wasn’t time for the main to be served. As a main I ordered a trancio Di Tonno, which it was the pièce of résistance. An exquisite seared tuna steak served on a bed of wilted spinach and roasted halved baby potatoes again topped with some peashooter salad as decoration. The tuna was cooked superbly and as I didn’t have to use the knife to cut as it was tender but yet not dry. Then I understood the excellency, cooking knowledge and the passion of the chef. I was literally in heaven and I was without word as it was the best tuna steak I had in U.K. in 23 years. I was full and I wouldn’t have ordered the dessert but as everything was so tasty I indulged myself in a Tiramisu for pudding and again no disappointment, as the presentation with strawberries, blueberries and mint leaf and gold shards was so beautiful as well as so scrumptious. I don’t normally disturb the chef as I know how busy it could be, but this was a must, It was an honour to meet David the chef along Roberto the owner of the restaurant and thank them for this lifetime culinary experience. It was definitely a privilege to eat at Little Sicilian and surely I will never forget this occasion. I will suggest a visit for to this beautiful venue to everyone visiting Broadstairs as it is definitely ia restaurant second to none.

Gorgeous meal in this restaurant re-born. Its new menu is impressive -including vegan and veggie options with a bigger more varied menu with some really mouth watering specials (large pasta tubes with meatballs and strips of filet steak in a rich tomato sauce), mixed with a few typical Italian dishes (such as tempura-style very lightly battered calamari with home made mayonnaise, and lasagna). And a much larger and more varied dessert menu. Little Sicilian will be seeing much more of us in 2024!!

What a place What great food What great service. 20 of us today and I couldn’t ask for better service and food . If you know Posilipos and like it then you would love the little Sicilian more room and space food I would say a lot better atmosphere and staff very attentive, A family dinner today from great grandad to 3 year old ( was given a high chair for the little one ) Service was top notch We sat upstairs and I did think because it’s so cold that the upstairs would be cold too but NO it was off with my coat and jumper as it was so warm and cosy. Everyone in the group agrees food was banging I started with a Bottle of house red I had starters ( rice balls for me , yummy ) Main ( crab spaghetti ) Desert ( cannoli ) I got to taste a bit of everyone’s food around me again yummy . Our 6 year old ate all of he’s pasta dish ( as recommended by the staff ) Then coffee I think for 20 people it was great value for the money , we ate at Posilipos last month and that was more money and there was only 12 of us . I’m not dissing Posilipos I’ve been so many times I don’t need to read their menu but if you’ve been then you know it’s good but the little Sicilian has the edge specially with the space you have . To all at the little Sicilian- your doing a great job from booking , food and service . Keep up the great work Thank you

The atmosphere and food here are excellent. It has a cosy feel to it and you feel welcome as soon as you walk in. It's on a quiet street away from the main high street so is very relaxed. We had the Sicilian platter for two to start which was a great way to try a bit of everything with a varied mix of dishes. The arancini and pizza bread were delicious. For main course we both had gnocchi, which were very good portion sizes. I usually go for either a tomato or pesto pasta so the Gnocchi Al Pesto Siciliano was the perfect blend of the two. The sauce was thick and rich in flavour. My partner had Gnocchi Gamberetti e Pistacchio which he very much enjoyed as had a subtle pistacchio flavour and a generous portion of prawns. We went for a bottle of Bonacosta Valpolicella to accompany our meal which it complimented perfectly. A subtle initial flavour with a kick of pepper at the end. All of the staff were welcoming and our server asked us at perfect intervals if we were ok, crucially never catching us with a mouthful so we could answer! We will definitely be back here for dinner.
