The old lady was out of her depth and needed more help, we left after a long wait for nothing and could not even guess when we would get anything, shown to a table and left to stare at our menus.. Went to La Turka very similar service but at least we did get served but at a price..

I keep being drawn to this restaurant, it has to be the most beautiful building at the harbour, the food is excellent and the wonderful husband (chef) wife (front of house) partnership is wonderful and heart warming 😘. Our party went for a late lunch just before closing, we were the last customers of the afternoon, didn't affect the service or quality, and when presented with our choices it came with smiles all round. Thank you and see you on our next visit to beautiful Ramsgate.

Wonderful food, great friendly staff.

First time visiting Ramsgate and so glad we found this gem of a restaurant. A beautifully preserved building and fabulous food. The tomato garlic bread was so tasty. Also child/toddler friendly. Will definitely come back it was like walking back in time. I loved it! Thank you.

An unpleasant and rude old woman is an administrator. She constantly complained that she was alone and it was hard for her, she was dissatisfied, although there was no one else but us! She ruined the impression of the restaurant. Terrible service. Never again! Some details: 1. We needed a table for 12 children. At that moment, only 7 children made an order, the other children did not have time to make a choice, and all children were asked to leave the pizzeria. We only had a budget of £180 so we may have needed a bit more time for each child to choose. 2. If this is how you do your business, then good luck! 3. FYI - there are many restaurants around your pizzeria with better service!

The Lady called Luciano who served us was really kind and willing to help.

We have been to Alexandra Italian restaurant in ramsgate several times now and we're never disappointed. The food is lovely and always fresh lots of dessert choices too.

Our waitress was a lovely traditional Italian lovely senior (70s) mature lady. She was spritely on her feet, was courteous and please barring her face mask. Now the good was exceptionally delicious. Credit to the master chef. We'd definitely come here again.

Informal family run restaurant, lovely staff. The food exceeded our expectations, pizza better than ones we've had in Italy and dessert beautiful. We will definitely be back

We loved this restaurant. Great food and excellent gluten free options. The staff had full awareness of cross contamination. It is one of the cleanest restaurant I’ve experienced.

Fantastic food. The pizzas were light and fresh. Loads of flavour. The sauce on the starter of belly pork was warming but not too spicy. We will definitely come again. Good value for money

Having lived it the area all my life I had never eaten here before, and oh how I've been missing out The food was fantastic there were 4 of us eating and every one of us thought the food was great and very reasonably priced The service was great as well. The only thing that wasn't perfect was it's a little bit noisy and the chairs were a little uncomfortable Anyway don't let those little things put you off the food and service more than make up for it and I very much look forward to my next visit

Popped in by chance with my partner and our 2 children (6 and 2). We aren’t from the area and had just come into ramsgate for a few hours. WOW! What a gem this place is. Staff so friendly and accommodating. Food fresh and amazingly delicious and was so quick from ordering to table. Will definitely be back.

Staff were very efficient and very helpful. Food was delicious and a beautiful family run restaurant.

I was told by the husband that all their wines were suitable for vegetarians and all of them had the green logo showing this but when we sat down and ordered suddenly he wasn’t sure that the ones you could have per glass were suitable for vegetarians so I had to buy a whole bottle when I only wanted a glass. So I felt a bit tricked. He was pleasant though. The wife, who I have found rude before, wouldn’t answer me directly when I asked her were there only two vegetarian choices for the desserts of which there was a long list that didn’t have the green V logo. She confused me by saying check for yourself. I then thought she had mistakenly put a V instead of VE because the choice was so limited. She spoke with a mask on and I am hard of hearing and I couldn’t pick up everything she was saying. When I asked her if she could stand back to ge able to remove the mask just so I could hear her by reading her lips she refused and was obnoxious. I remembered then why I hadn’t been there in so long, I remembered she was a difficult woman the last couple of times I had been there. She should have just said yes, that there were only two vegetarian choices and not answered me in an ambiguous way. She also could have taken heed that clearly if desserts are bought in which they were, tgat she could have chosen more vegetarian choices and not argued with me about it. She made the evening unpleasant after it had started so well prior to entering the restaurant.

We went there to celebrate/honour a new chapter in life. The couple were friendly prior to booking. He was friendly chap although he did say they had vegetarian red wine but once in restaurant it turned out I’d have to buy a whole bottle ( my partner doesn’t drink wine) because he suddenly wasn’t sure if the house wine which was the only one you could buy by glass was vegetarian or not and wouldn’t just give me the name of it to google myself. The chef came out with the food but didn’t ask if we wanted anything, pepper or chilli oil, we had to ask for it and find it ourselves. Thr dessert list was brought over. Out of about 12/15 choices there were only two with the vegetarian logo. The woman, who I have found rude and obnoxious in the past, didn’t come over to help when I asked her was that it, was there really only 2 choices because I didn’t want either of them. I wear hearing aids but had forgotten to put them in. She wore a mask so I couldn’t lip read which helps me hear. I told her I couldn’t hear her but she just told me, from a distance, to look at the list myself. So then I got confused. I wondered if their V label was incorrect and they had meant VE so I thought that was why there was only 2 choices because she told me to carry on looking at the list. When I questioned this she talked with her back to me so I struggled hearing her at all. When she eventually came nearer I asked her could she briefly remove her mask so I could hear her better. We then established the fact that there were indeed just 2 vegetarian choices. I gave valid feedback that this wasn’t enough choice and as obviously they bought in their desserts could they not make more of an effort to buy vegetarian ones. I asked her for the bill . She then went outside to my boyfriend who was smoking out there to talk about me behind my back and telling him tales which was really annoying that she couldn’t just accept what I had said and leave it there. I had to ask her again to just let me pay because we had now finished. I feel a bit tricked regarding the wine although the gentleman was friendly and polite and perhaps there was misunderstanding, I’m not sure. He should be the one front of house, not the wife because she’s moody and sarcastic and rude. A disappointment and a reminder of why I hadn’t gone there in such a long time. The wife and the cold abd awkward atmosphere in there isn’t inviting even though the room itself is exquisite.

Very good, will come again. The pork ribs are very delicious. The wide noodles are top-notch.

Without doubt the best pizza I've had in years. So tasty. Great salad too. Friendly staff. Location is perfect to watch the world go by. We sat outside and looked over to the harbour. I would recommend a visit.

The owner is a rude waitress. She is very slow and grumpy. Maybe it's time for her to consider to retire? Food was just Okish. Not very tasty to be honest.

The food is amazing. Well known for it’s lasagna and spaghetti, but also for the pizzas. As I am allergic to cheese, the chef gladly accommodates. Closes early, which is a shame but understandable as the owners are in their late 50’s (😉), but they make me smile every time.

Enjoyed an extraordinarily good Italian meal. A reunion dinner for seven old friends, we were delighted with the quality of the food. I had a fantastic starter with chargrilled vegetables and garlic bruschetta, followed by the house speciality pizza, a thin crust delight as good as anything I have experienced in recent years. Our gang enjoyed wonderful desserts, and very good value wine. Nothing extravagantly fancy, just top notch home cooking. A really friendly atmosphere. This has got to be one of the best value for money restaurants in Ramsgate, in a beautifully refurbished building.

The restaurant is located in a lovely building. The menu is quite limited - pizza and a small selection of pastas. I had a pizza Calabrese and it was the best pizza I've had in years. My wife was also pleased with her pizza. Everything else was OK.

We have never used this restaurant before although we have been to ramsgate many times. Facing the harbour it is an excellent location. What a good experience it was. Family run so not a chain. Service excellent and friendly. Food freshly prepared tasty and plenty of it. Excellent value for money we will definitely go there again.

Don't be put off by the scaffolding and lack of diners! Food was incredible - fresh and delicious and excellent value for money. Italian couple (owners) were really welcoming and the young waiter was brilliant. Also, 1st class for hygiene - laminated menus cleaned between guests. Only thing missing was some ambient music, but really a real treasure of a restaurant :)

Brilliant Italian restaurant in Ramsgate. The restaurant must be family run because out front is a lovely, sweet lady who should be enjoying retirement but is serving, chatting, waitressing and front of house all at once. The food is brilliant always good, been here 3 times and each time it's delicious! You wouldn't say it would have top restaurant aesthetics but it packs flavour! The restaurant itself is a bit dated and could do with some uplifting It has become a regular on special occasions for us and family so would return and will now always recommend.

Unbelievable considering We have been regulars for 30 years and given her thousands ££ as a family .on arrival refused a table and Maria Denied booking made ( it was and confirmed … cu Father’s Day said Maria) She turned her back on us and said no no no booking made . Utterly untrue . Very hurt at lack of loyalty and accuracy . Suggest you retire Maria gracefully . Grateful for all the good times and huge tips . But today unacceptable. Your young waiter clearly embarrassed. Happy retirement Maria and poor husband 😄🎺

Such a great tasting and value for money menu. Clearly the owners have been here a long long time and are both Italian. Friendly , warm , inviting and situated in an incredibly art deco building overlooking the harbour. I’m not sure why this place wasn’t full when we were there on a bank holiday weekend Sunday evening .

This is a fantastic place to eat, it was quiet but don’t let that put you off, the owners were really friendly and helpful as my wife has an allium allergy. The chef made a wonderful pasta with wild mushrooms, fresh tomatoes, chillies and vegetables. I had a great pizza with a wonderful homemade pizza base. The place was absolutely spotlessly clean and when we left they even lent us an umbrella as there was a thunder storm (which we gratefully returned).

A beautiful experience. As soon as you cross over the threshold Alexandras takes to a beautiful riviera. The building is stunning and the interior is impeccably kept. The welcome here is perfect, calm and friendly. To begin we chose the mixed olives with pizza bread and the olives were huge and deliciously fresh and rich in taste For the main course I chose the cannelloni with spinach and chicken, which was homemade and delicious, opting for a salad on the side dressed and featuring the usual suspects with a touch of fennel. I'm not usually one for desserts, but the other courses weren't heavy and so there was room for something sweet. I chose tirismusu as I knew it would be great. It was everything a dessert should be, so light and beautifully made. I cannot wat to go back. Lucky to get a seat as an early walk in, but worth booking a table to ensure you don't miss out.

Unfortunately we didn't have a great experiance. My family were down from the midlands to visit us (there were 8 of us) Within a few minutes of being sat down we were told we couldnt make a drinks order until we ordered our food, which we weren't ready to order but twice we told to order the food quickly as they had a party of 12 coming in, the staff then stared at us until we were ready to order. When we ordered the food and the drinks were taken at the same time anyway! Some of the food we had was bland but some dishes had were nice (peri chicken) We will not be returning here and wouldn't recommend it on the customer service alone.

Out for Valentines / Wedding anniversary, at Alexandra Ristorante. Food and service was excellent, will be going again and sampling the menue again.

We chose this restaurant primarily because of their dedicated gluten-free menu, which was fantastic, but also the three non gluten-free eaters were bowled over by the gorgeous food. Everything was well presented tasty and fresh. The interior, with its beautiful period features and quirky decor,...

Came here as a walk in at around 7pm ordered drinks and starters, asked for longer to pick mains as couldn't decide, was asked twice to hurry up, so sadly ordered something I didn't really want, which I couldn't really eat as was too hot...

After viewing reviews, had to try. Unfortunately Overall Disappointed. Spaghetti very dry, this was obviously reheated. Did not keep up to its ratings.

My favourite Italian restaurant. Lovely food.

We love Italian food and most of the time it's good. But this restaurant is an exeption to the rule. The food is so very good. I had (as a starter the maincourse) penne all' Arrabbiata. The best I ever had. My husband choose as a starter John's Insalata Caprese. And again best ever. Both a pizza as main: really really delicious. Yes I can recommend wholeheartedly this restaurant.

If you want delicious Italian food then this is the place to come, you will not be disappointed. I highly recommend the Maria salad as well as the ribs & save room for dessert. Wonderful restaurant, cannot wait to go back.

We had a delicious family meal for our son’s 3rd birthday. The building is lovely and the food was so tasty and authentic. We’ll definitely be visiting again, it was a great place to go as a family.

I have been twice, strongly recommend the meaty ribs, I had the small portion first visit, it's so good that I had it the main portion in second visit. Garlic bread and tiramisu were of great quality too. I can't wait to go again and try other items in the menu.

Asked for parmesan, went to walk away before i finishes so when she came back i asked for chilli oil . she said you need to ask all together and i charging you for all these extras... Had a fantastic three course meal, great atmosphere inside, the woman who served us was very lovely and made us feel welcome. The food was absolutely perfect, cannot fault this establishment. I urge everyone to try it out as the authinticity of the flavours is magical.

Excellent food and welcoming staff. This is one of the best Italian restaurants in east Kent and deserves a lot more recognition. Outstanding value for money, very fresh, large portions, attentive service and plenty of options. If anything, the prices are probably too low so people (wrongly) don’t think of this in the same calibre as other local Italian’s, so we always leave a tip! The interior design isn’t as fancy as other Italian’s but it feels authentic (I lived in Rome for a while and many of the restaurants there are in this style). The owners are lovely - an Italian couple running it. Highly recommend this place!

Four of us went for lunch. Don't letter scaffolding outside put you off. The interior is absolutely fine. We each had pizza and we all agreed they were really good. So tasty and the bases are gorgeous. Reasonably priced too
