I went on a sentimental return visit, and was delighted. The Restuarant has been elegantly refurbished, and the menu remains excellent. I started with Insalata Tricolore, followed by Spaghetti Basilico with teo glasses of Sangiovese, rounded off by Mango Sorbet and a Limoncello. All delicious, generously portioned, attractively presented, and reasonably priced. Despite being busy, the staff were most friendly, attentive and efficient, and the overall ambience of the place was lovely. I will be returning, and I highly recommend others to visit this authentically Italian establishment. Molto grazie, Cristina, for making my evening a special occasion!

Looked for somewhere to eat in Sunbury to celebrate the success that 3 of our ladies had, in in completing the 100k Ride the Night for ladies cancer charities. This gem of an Italian restaurant did not disappoint. The food was excellent, the service was very good and the ambience was very pleasant. A very good experience and good value for money, highly recommend Capriccio.

We needed a quick dinner before seeing a show and this was perfect, the food came out quickly and was a good portion and value for money. I would definitely recommend going here when your not in a rush though to properly appreciate it! The waitresses were also very nice. :)

I have eaten here with my family (who live locally) for a number of years now and it has always been a lovely experience. The service is immaculate, the staff very friendly and the food fab! Parking in the carpark opposite (almost) … don’t forget to pay … I can recommend the Insalata tricolore ( I always have it ! ) then meatballs or crab ravioli or steak. A wonderful little diamond of a place.

It appears a bit run down outside but inside is beautiful. First time I went the arrabbiata pasta was a but too al dente and cold but second time was really good. Really recommend it.

I have been to this restaurant several times as well as take always. Very good authentic Italian food, reasonably priced and great service every time.

We’ve eaten in this restaurant almost monthly for the last 5 years. It has been excellent for the family. We returned in late June after it had been recently revamped with our 2 young daughters. When we arrived, we were amazed to find that the kids menu option had been removed, so our 7 & 8 year old would have to order adult portions! We did not stay and will obviously not be back until our children can do justice to an adult portion. This is a very strange business decision and especially for an Italian which are renowned for their treatment of children! This rating has no relevance for the quality of the food

Consistently good food and service. Christina is fantastic. Not sure about the new decor - very dark and nightclubby. Also need to have some alternative milk options for non dairy people.

Excellent service, pizzas were delicious and fresh. Starters were good portion sizes but a little disappointing that they weren’t freshly made.

Visited this place last Saturday with hubby and close friend. Was recommended by another friend. Very friendly staff and clean and cosy feel to the restaurant. The house wine was very good and the meal was fine overall and typical of an Italian restaurant of old. . I would eat there again, and recommend to others.

Have previously been with family, and dropped in as was in area for work. Traditional menu, good value prices and very tasty. Pavarotti pizza was a little heavy on the chicken for me, but it was still delicious with a side salad and very filling. Would visit again.

Called on Saturday Morning at 10am and phone was answered by the stand in manager who I later found out was called Saf. I had been told they were fully booked on Friday evening by a young lady but decided we really wanted to try it as it’s our first visit to Sunbury and we had heard about it. After calling Saf back at 10.30 he had managed to squeeze us in at 8.30pm which was perfect for us. On arrival we were greeted by Saf and shown to own table. We ordered from the extensive menu and were very pleased with the quality. The wine list was also very good and so we indulged ourselves there as well. The whole experience was made special by the attentive but not overpowering staff. We had a great evening and, if your in the area and lucky enough to get a table. You must try this place Guys! Enjoy!

We visit the area often to see my father and always try and pop into Capriccio. It’s the best place in town. The food is always good. Can recommend the risottos, the pizzas and all the pasta dishes. The house red is very drinkable! And the service is always on point, and pleasant. A favourite.

My partner and I regularly order takeaway pizza from here, and sometimes eat in. It’s always a great meal, and very friendly staff. I should’ve written this review a long time ago, but kept putting it off! A credit to the small town of Sunbury!

We returned to visit Cafe Capriccio as it was my sister’s birthday and it’s one of her favourite restaurants. The menu offers good quality Italian food at reasonable prices, staff are always friendly, courteous and polite. Another very enjoyable experience, food quality is excellent.

Carpriccio is a simple looking place, like most good restaurants. They offer really nice specials covering meat, fish and vegetarian tastes and I have found to be always excellent. For comfort food they have really good quality Italian staples of risotto, pasta and pizzas. I love the atmosphere which is always lively, sometimes noisy, but it really feels like you've stepped into Italy. Very efficient and friendly staff. I’ve visited with friends and family, as well as colleagues and business clients and always had a good experience.

My friend and her partner for the past few years have stayed in Sunbury and always head to Capriccio after their first visit was excellent. My partner and I joined them this year to celebrate her birthday and I could not recommend this restaurant enough. The atmosphere was fantastic straight from the start. The staff were very welcoming and attentive, and made the evening truly magical for her and us, the guests. What really made the evening was the fantastic Italian food on offer. We had starters, mains and desserts and we were certainly not disappointed with any course that was brought out.

Ate here lunchtime as member of a group of over 40. Even with such a large number the food was good and service slick. Good food for reasonable prices. Tiramisu was superb and generous portion

Excellent service staff - nice wine selection - pleasant atmosphere. It's a rather small place but very charming. I reccommend their Carbonara.

This evening we had a terrible experience here. I booked a table for 4 people for 9pm. We arrived at 9.03pm and we watched as the waiter effectively gave away our table. There was no apology or explanation we were just told to go to the bar and wait. We stood there for 10 minutes without any further acknowledgement. We then asked the waiter how long we would be waiting for and he rudely told us to talk to the manager (who had been preparing drinks the whole time without offering to get us one). He said that the tables were not ready and apparently 'our'table was for a group of 6 (we watched 3 people order). We then asked if he would call us when the table was ready so that we could wait in the pub. 45 minutes later, we got a phone call. By that time we had gone to The Flower pot, and had ordered pizza there instead. When we told him that we didn't intend on going back, he said he was happy! What a rude manager! By the way, the customer service in the Flower pot was exemplary.

The best cocktails you will find in any restaurant or bar for miles. Cafe Capriccio are by far our favourite restaurant with the friendliest staff and consistently great food, catering well for both my partner who is vegetarian and myself who enjoys the beautiful steak they prepare. Make sure you book in advance as they are so good they are always busy and you do not want to miss out.

Friendly service, great food reasonably priced. Busy so nice atmosphere - focus on Italian staples (pizza pasta rice). Have had risotto here twice and it’s been perfectly cooked on both occasions.

Took the wife and mother here as it came recommended. It just wasn't worth our time and money. Service was very slow. I appeared that locals where served before other customers regardless of what order they entered the restaurant. Staff spent more time and effort with the locals. Drinks where slow to arrive and food even slower. Food was very average and the steak over cooked despite asking for it rare. I would also say that some of the food we ordered was cooked from frozen and not fresh. Wont be going back and don't recommend.

As it was my sisters birthday we arranged to meet her in lower Sunbury and had a very good lunch in Cafe Capriccio, we’ve been several times as it’s one of my sisters favourite restaurants.

The menu is quite poor , the service quite slow . I choose a steak, that wasn’t bad and had a good sauce. I will not recommend it

Stick to pizza or pasta. I had calamari and it was obviously from frozen. The pizzas never disappoint and they also do take away. Always very friendly and they remember you when you go back.

I have dined here regularly with my father for many years, and Capriccio's has always delivered great food, with great ambiance and unfailingly friendly, helpful staff. There are always a few 'Specials' on, my starter of broccoli and potato soup was exceptional, my (main menu) spaghetti gamberetti delicious. The wine is good, so are desserts! I always look forward to my next visit, so - highly recommended!

Had a wonderful meal for Dads 87th birthday - he loved it as did we. The food was out of this world and the place was buzzing - real good feel about the place - very good service and helpful as Dad never had Italian before!! I would reccomend for Lunch or Dinner both outstanding.

Small Italian restaurant with a clean modern dining area, Italian speaking staff complete the atmosphere. A nice casual, relaxed place to eat. Mainly pasta and pizza’s with other traditional mains. Not the biggest menu but enough for a few visits.

On Friday 6th October we booked a table for 8. We were greeted most cordially and shown to our table.The orders were given, some of us did not order starters but all ordered mains.The starters arrived and it wasn't until the starters were finished that about 20 minutes later the mains arrived, allowing all of us to eat together. My personal choice was lamb shank which was superb. As my wife had a broken arm she ordered a bolognese sauce but with another type of pasta which was not a problem. The whole experience was superb.I would highly recommend this restaurant.

As a family we have had a few great evenings and meals in this restaurant. The menu is limited after a few visits but lots sf pizza’s and pasta.

Very friendly staff and a good solid menu which is well executed. I don't usually comment on pricing but it was resfreshing to find the add ons which all too often put a sting in Italian restaurant bills were either not there at all or modestly priced. The clientele seemed local and regular, we just popped in on a flying visit. Crab ravioli starter lovely, calves liver hot the spot perfectly.Well deserving of its high Trip Advisor rating.

Meet family in Sunbury park to walk down to see the flotilla of veteran little ship that have survived from Dunkirk.My sister has eaten at Cafe Capriccio on many occasions and has always said how good the food is. We had booked a table and when we arrived were warmly welcomed to our table, we decided on a large garlic bread to share for starters which arrived and was delicious.My wife and sister opted for the chicken risotto and I choose the chefs special spaghetti without the mussels but with additional prawns.Food was delicious, nicely presented and very good value. We called to book quite late and despite the fact that Sunbury Regata was on they still said they would try to fit us in. They called us back when someone had left and said it was fine. The food was amazing. The staff were friendly polite and attentive. The food arrived quickly but when we asked for a gap after the main course they were fine with it. They did not rush us. Thanks for a special meal and a birthday whiskey.

We had dinner here for the first time recently to celebrate our wedding anniversary. This place had been recommended by a friend and we really loved it here. Lovely staff, friendly and attentive and a great menu too with lots of options to choose from.We hope to go back again soon.

We have eaten in this small privately owned Italian restaurant many times, as we can walk there from our home in less than ten minutes. The menu and wine list are unsurprisingly fairly limited, but the quality of the fare on offer is very good indeed. The staff are extremely helpful and friendly and we have never had a meal that was not both delicious and enjoyable. Good value, very tasty Italian food.

First visit here with some girlfriends, it was a Thursday evening, we had booked but the place was packed, very busy, very noisy. Not recommended for a romantic night out. The service was really good, very attentive, the food was good, not great but certainly good, a huge portion of pasta which was a little off-putting, hence a fair bit was left on the plate. The waitress did explain that we could have ordered a smaller size, which I would certainly do if I returned. One point to note, which did somewhat take the edge off the evening, there is one table, directly to the left as you enter the restaurant, you are sitting in the opening of the main door, the restaurant is busy, people go in and out constantly, arriving, leaving, smoking, and chasing children. It is a very disruptive place to sit and also cold, in fact, ruined my evening, hence the 3 stars. I would return but would insist on sitting somewhere else. I am really surprised this has not been flagged by other reviewers, very unpleasant place to sit.
