Ask Italian

Chichester North, Chichester, >100£
03/09/2018: A wonderful experience from the time we walked into the restaurant up until we left. The service was excellent, and the food was one of the best Italian dining in Chichester. I did have a 2 for 1 on our meals, however, we were not treated any differently for having this offer. We will be back definitely.
02/09/2018: Given that Ask is a high street eatery its an excellent experience with quality Italian style food.. Its always a toss of the coin between a fine dining Italian, Carlucio's or Ask and whenever we go to Ask its always a pleasure and great value.. I often default to the Pizza Calzone which is always fresh, very substantial and excellent value at just £12.95, add a large Peroni and your evening is complete and to top it all the staff will remember you if your a repeat diner which always adds that finishing touch..

Dom Italian Bar & Restaurant

East Wittering, Chichester
19/08/2018: Such a lovely place so friendly and the food was amazing, we recently went to italy and the food was exactly the same 100% recommend.
18/08/2018: Service was absolutely brilliant. Very authentic and felt welcomed in to an Italian family environment. From the outside it does not look like much but don’t judge a book by its cover! This certainly one not to be missed! Also had an extensive vegan menu which catered well for my wife’s food allergies! The focaccia went down well with our 11month old who was very entertained by the staff.

Carluccio's - Chichester

Chichester East, Chichester, 20-30£
19/08/2018: I hear Carluccios are struggling a bit. Well to be honest I am not that surprised. The food is OK ish but way over does the founders connection as a way of propping up pretty average fair. Service is again OK ish but a bit scrappy and staff could be trained up a bit in the basics of food service. Bringing food out before you have finished a course, not clearing when you have, missing the detail.
13/08/2018: From this and a previous visit, I think the food and atmosphere are both good, the place seems authentically Italian and also looks friendly and well run. The location is also a plus being near to but just off the main road away from the traffic in a nice part of Chichester. I would happily recommend it for special occasions, business entertaining, or just as a nice place to eat out.

Zizzi - Chichester

Chichester South, Chichester
24/08/2018: 9 of us went here on Tuesday 21st August for one of the groups Birthday, i was the only one who had been here before (it was a works Christmas Party in December 2016) and i said they wouldnt be disappointed and everyone was happy with their meals. I had the spaghetti carbonara which was everything a carbonara should be, plenty of spaghettii with pancetta ham and wild mushrooms in a nice creamy sauce and above all it came out piping hot showing that it was freshly cooked. I had this dish at another restaurant in Chichester about 9 months ago and they oven baked it and it was dry and hard, completely wrong! For dessert i had the tiramisu which was lovely and light with a good flavour of coffee, a good size portion too, some of the desserts ordered by the others looked rather small on comparison. The restaurant is in the old theatre which gives it an atmospheric feel, we sat up near the open cooking area which would have been where the stage was. You could see the dough being stretched to make the pizza bases and then a bit of a process of the toppings being put on then being put in the huge over with a large paddle. The oven looked to be gas fired. Adjacent to the pizza oven there was a chef at work on a range making the other dishes in various pans on the hob, occaisonally you saw the flames going up which added to the atmosphere. I had a large bottle of Peroni 660ml which seemed rather steep at £6.70 but works out cheaper than the 330ml ones which i think were 4.20 each. As we were a group of more than 8 a 10% service charge was added to our bill, it says its optional but we paid it rather begrudgingly and for that reason i only give a 4* rating, everything else was perfect
24/08/2018: Lunched here this week. Melted cheese starters were ok. Both mains were a little disappointing, the chicken salad was mainly leaves very little chicken which also tasted somewhat processed, the lasagne was a lot of sauce with little solid content. Desserts were fine.

Prezzo - Chichester

Chichester South, Chichester, 30-45£
29/08/2018: My friends and I have been coming to Prezzos in Chichester every month for the past four years and wouldn’t think of going anywhere else! The serving staff are all lovely and the food is great. 5* rating
29/08/2018: We were seated near the till, on a table for two so had little space, and were more aware than we would have liked of the conversation between staff and customers and staff. It was early evening and there were many empty tables available. We had informed them that we were paying with Tesco vouchers, if this was a factor in our seating it was short sighted as we won't be returning. The food was good but the pricing was odd - I ordered the 'light' pizza which was the same price as my husbands but half the size! The side orders of chips were minuscule but cost £4.50 each. The same price but half the size of the chips I'd enjoyed at a lovely spa restaurant a few days before.

Frankie & Benny's New York Italian Restaurant & Bar - Chichester

Chichester South, Chichester, 20-30£
01/09/2018: booked a table were show to it but had a very long wait for service one waiter running his tail off while others standing around watching, very over priced dinks and luke warm food order fish and chips, fish had no batter. The waiter tried his best but would Never go back
26/08/2018: I purchased a groupon voucher for a meal for 2 for £19.95, we visited today and even though I did have a voucher the service was terrible, it took 20 mins for them to come and ask what we wanted to drink, there were 4 members of staff stood chatting for that amount of time. When we came to order the waitress basically sat on the back of the booths chair pretty much on my shoulder, I asked for ribs and chicken and they had no ribs left so I was told ‘you should just have the chicken’ I wanted the ribs and I said no I will choose something else, then she proceeded to tell me just to have the chicken three more times.

The Pizza Pasta Pub

Donnington, Chichester
19/09/2015: Had a good meal here for reasonable money. Portion sizes were decent as was the quality. Can't remember what the service was like, but no complaints. Tad cramped inside but you can't have everything!

Pizza Express

Midhurst, Chichester
16/07/2018: Really nice and modern restaurant. Air conditioned, so very cool on these hot summer days. Lovely waiter, great pizza!
20/04/2018: My husband and I were staying in Midhurst for a wedding. So decided to have dinner at Pizza Express because it was close to our hotel.
