Zizzi - Chichester in Chichester

Ticks all the boxes. Good food, great service, great atmosphere. The energy of the waitresses was incredible. They were flying around so fast they were just a blur!!! And yet when you needed something they were there instantly. The restaurant was really full and busy but they made it feel that it was all under control.

Zizzi is situated in South Street, Chichester. It is a large restaurant with seating both down and upstairs. It is a very old building about 300 years old. It has a very large menu of all courses from which to choose. The food when it was delivered was relatively quick, hot and well cooked and presented. The staff that worked at Zizzi were efficient and very friendly and wanted you to enjoy your experience. Overall a good experience, but there was a cold draft in the air, possibly coming from the air conditioning.

Arantza was amazing, the power went out but still accommodated everyone and made a lovely evening! 100% would come again :)

Last weekend we went to have dinner. It was very crowded because of Christmas but the service was really good and food was amazing. I'll repeat without doubts.

Had a 80 birthday meal for my friend, it was very busy at the time, access to the ground floor toilets was not accessible and very poor table layout. The service was very slow, our meals were brought out late and at different times. Then the waitress by access through the ice cream pudding over my friend. The service all together was poor and we were questioned why we were not paying a service charge at the time of the bill. They did then take it off the bill and gave my friends 25% off her next meal. But personally my self I will not go back. This is a real shame as I have had much better service in the past.

Very disappointed!! We’ve been to several of Zizzis restaurants and always had a good meal but unfortunately tonight it was not the case. The restaurant is very tired looking. My husband ordered pasta with prawns and salmon in a carbonara sauce. It definitely wasn’t carbonara just a white sauce and was quite dry. I had a pepperoni and mushroom pizza which was very greasy. The green salad had old lettuce in covered with lots of cheese to hide it! The water jug was not clean! The waitress, Caitlin, was very nice but when I complained she didn’t react to it.

Ordered bottled peroni which came to me warm. Had to ask to change for cold one. Happened second time around and their excuse was they had to fill up fridge. You'd think a restaurant like that would have a walk in fridge to keep drinks cold for replenishing. Partner ordered pork belly. Very Very fatty and came with chips instead of the potatoes, which were soaked in grease. Were not told about this swap. I ordered prawn linguine. This was bland and tasteless. Service was good and atmosphere was OK apart from waitresses dropping drinks on stairs 3 times. Not their fault as expected to walk up 2 flights with trays full.

Group of 8 meet once a month for dinner, working our way mostly around Chichester. Ordered from the three course menu. Food was delicious from starter to dessert. Service was top notch with enough interaction to be friendly but still professional. All of the group were impressed with the service and tasty food. Having visited a pretentious restaurant the month before (TI) where we experienced poor portion sizes and terrible service, you blow them out of the water! Only issue raised: why are you not taking cash? Use it or loss it!!!

This is a nice Zizzi’s. Have been here before but this time it was slightly busier with a few larger parties so service was slightly slower than previously. Still the usual Zizzi standard.

Fabulous food and incredible service. Very pleasant staff. Lovely ambience. We both had pizzas which were totally delicious.

We had a lovely meal here on a busy midweek night . We shared a chicken stack to start and I had a salad for the main course . Service is fast efficient and friendly . The restaurant is large and on two floors , I believe it was an old historic theatre . Great menu .

Unfortunately we did not enjoy eating at this Zizzi’s, the staff were very attentive and the surroundings were lovely but the food (pastas) were mushy, overcooked and stodgy. I wouldn’t recommend.

It was awful, orders the mushroom risotto and it came out balanced and mushing like it was over cooked. Asked if it was possible to get another one made and came out within 3 minutes, was just as terrible as the 1st one. So I asked the manager how they cooked it and he informed me IT COMES IN FROZEN!! Im sorry but when did we start paying £16 for a ready meal! We then carried on to order something a margarita pizza and you can’t go wrong with that, it was edible but nothing amazing. The customer service was sub-par and even had the cheek at the end to ask for a tip. Definitely avoid

We came here for valentine’s day and despite it being busy the food was unreal. We hosted a boys 13th birthday party on one long table. Zizzi were amazing with their personal service producing 18 delicious pizzas and garlic bread promptly as the boys arrived with plenty of jugs of tap water and even let us bring our own birthday cake which they kindly lit. I'm quite shocked to see all the reviews mentioning bad service, we went yesterday (Thursday 6th Feb) & had a really nice late lunch, & rarely for us, had what we felt was attentive & efficient service, worthy of the tip we left. I've marked down slightly as my partners meal was not served hot enough, we suspected as she'd ordered a starter & side dish as her meal & i'd ordered a pizza, so maybe the timings caused the issue, but this was quickly fixed by our friendly server. The main meal small issue was soon forgotten tho when they brought out the banana & chocolate calzone, just wow! Nice vibe here, our second visit, & we'll be back for more calzone dessert!

Went here for a friends birthday and I must I enjoyed the whole thing from start to finish was most impressed with how clean the lavatories were. I will be most certainly coming back. As for the food it was insanely great. Also, they have a wide choice of all different kinds of wines and I genuinely loved their offers of all kinds of teas.

Having enjoyed before I took a friend for a birthday meal. Called in on Friday evening, having been to several branches of Zizzi (including this one) before. Service was slow despite not being very busy, although the staff were friendly & polite. Our food on this occasion was very poor! My lasagne was bland & seemed to have been microwaved. My partner's pizza was like a piece of card & the topping very scarce. Frankly, you would expect much better.

29 of us visited Zizzi on a busy Saturday night for our work Christmas party; from start to finish, Andy (the GM) and Shay gave fantastic service which made the evening a great success! Nothing was too much trouble for them and just want to say thank you for enriching our evening. They’re both credits to the restaurant and we will definitely be returning!

We passed by this restaurant and called in for our evening meal after a long day working away from home. The staff were very friendly and the service was superb. The food was presented very well and full of flavour. I would call again.

Lunch group of 6 adults. The two who had pasta were happy with their meal. Us pizza-ists were a bit underwhelmed. My son said he thought Pizza Express was better and my wife and I separately felt the Rustica pizzas were disappointing: their blurb "Pizza Rustica. Our signature pizza - hand stretched that bit further for a bigger base, a crispier texture and more toppings." On my Campagna, I probably didn't have a whole mushroom, there were bately half a dozen pieces of ham and a few more bits of pepperoni. Not exactly luxurious on any pizza, let alone for an extra £2 or so.

My son & I ate dinner at Zizzis last night. Such a nice place to eat. Lovely decor - exposed brick, plenty of tables & you can watch the chefs work.

Decided to go back as in the area again. Food wise our starter was good - sharing antipasto - but our pizzas were bland. However, our main issue was the wine. We ordered a bottle of Merlot which was supposedly the Zizzi favourite. They had none in so offered us a taste of pretty much all their red wines, and top marks to the waitress for her efforts. All of them are pretty poor, especially the primitivo which was awful. We settled on a cheap and cheerful bottle at £14.95 but really shouldn’t of bothered as we left most of it. Maybe this is down to personal taste but we were very disappointed and would not return for this reason.

For a Monday night Chichester was surprisingly busy and I had been unable to get a table in both Prezzo or Pizza Express so went into Zizzi. Although busy, I was welcomed promptly and given my choice of tables. I was on my own so expected to be put in a small table out of the way but the very friendly lady gave me a booth which was nice and made me feel quite comfortable with my book and glass of wine.
