Wildwood in Chichester

Very quiet on this occasion but the service was outstanding and the food was delicious. Highly recommend Wildwood. The waitress Molly was absolutely fantastic.

This afternoon we took advantage of the lunch menu that allowed you to get two courses for about £15 which works out really good for money. We had calamari and garlic bread starters which were delicious and filled you just enough to still have space for your main. For mains we then had spaghetti bolognaise, chicken burgers and a pizza which were all a generous portion and tasted so yummy. Our servers were very attentive and helpful when coming to split the bill at the end and overall our experience was good even when we made a last minute decision to come here. Thank you!!!

A Great restaurant we stopped here for lunch and really enjoyed it. The staff were friendly and professional and the food was lovely I had the Mushroom pasta and my partner had the small plate pizza and salad which was amazing! Drinks were also really nice the atmosphere was chilled and the restaurant itself was clean and modern! Price was slightly on the higher side but with the quality of food and service worth every penny! Would definitely recommend

We booked a table 30 minutes before we turned up after making a last minute decision to go after not eating here for a year. We were not disappointed! The staff were lovely and attentive, and the food was just as good as I remembered. The food is good value, and we also used our 20% off food student discount. Would highly recommend for a meal in Chichester!

I went to wildwood last night with my family for my sister’s birthday. We had a lovely server called Pedro, who was attentive and friendly! The only negative thing I will say is that the music was coming from a laptop or something quite tinny!

My lasagna was a little dry, but still good. The group I was with all seemed to enjoy their meals a lot. Service was excellent and the atmosphere is wonderful too. Very glad to have found this relatliveyl large yet somehow also quite intimate restraunt.

Ordered a couple of pizzas on here Friday night just before 6pm on uber eats, They didn’t arrive till 8:30pm and were stone cold. Wouldnt order a take away from here again.

Had a large table booked (29) for a birthday meal, the manager was extremely helpful when it come to booking and sorting it all. On the night the food was really good all arrived together and hot. Staff are very friendly/helpful but most of all the staff where very understanding of all our needs.

Food is pretty good. Think the waiter was new as he did some strange things, like leant across another person to grate parmesan on my food. Restaurant was quite chilly.

Really didn’t enjoy the food unfortunately, the pasta was over cooked , the sauce was quite watery and was not much chicken or cheese in the dish however they were extremely busy so could just be a one off. The staff were absolutely lovely but would probably not be returning.

Called by early evening on New Year’s Eve and pleasantly surprised to get a table, good food and very good service by lovely staff. First time visit to Wildwood but not the last! Never had a garlic bread with mozerella and onion chutney like theirs - so tasty!

Just been called by Chichester Wildwood on Xmas Eve, had a table booked for 8.30pm and they wanted to change our booking because they want to go home.... you are in hospitality, accept it!?! Shocking behaviour from a chain.... we chose Wildwood because it was near the station where a guest was arriving - so we are now going to a local business (not a chain) that we love and have supported throughout the year, restaurants chains don't work...

Visited for a bit of food and bottle of wine. All starters we had were lovely. Kids festive menu was a bargain and well worth it! All service was fantastic, very attentive and patient with the little ones! Thank you

Went for a work Christmas Dinner. Had a great time. Lovely staff and food was delicious. Only thing I would say is the food wasn't very hot but it was busy there and we had a large group with us.

Eaten there a handful of times and we always get takeaway, they’ve given us cold lasagne multiple times. When we asked for it to be warmed up it was still cold… Will not be eating there again

Located a short walk from the railway station on the way into the city centre wildwood offers a good range of meals with gluten-free options available. We ate on a saturday lunchtime. The restaurant was almost empty but there was quite loud music playing which was distracting. The staff were friendly but the food took a while to arrive, although when it did it was very tasty. A decent enough place but nothing special.

I had food poisoning at this Wildwoods restaurant. The manager was unhelpful and unapologetic. The subequent customer support was as appalling as the food. I had many emails from different people and was eventually ignored in the hope I would go away. Disgraceful, amateurish and insensitive response, no compensation offered. DO NOT GO THERE.

Food was ok, but service not as good. No warning that dishes were scalding hot when brought to the table. Cutlery for desserts was just placed at one end of the table, not given individually.

This was the second time in a week that we dined there, and although there was a little mixup with 2 special requirements, they quickly put them right and also gave us a discount. We were all very impressed with the food and service and will definitely be going there again soon.

Food quality was average. I had a pizza which was good quality and my partner had the burger which was described as ok. The venue is pretty nondescript. Customer service was not great unfortunately. Staff were simply ok. There was a lack of friendly interaction with customers and it felt as if the waiting staff didn’t really want to be there. The restaurant was also expensive at £75 for three mains and three drinks. With the current cost of living crisis, I believe restaurants need to up their game. Wildwood fails in this area.

I visited here while working Goodwood festival of Speed on the Saturday when the event was cancelled, 4 of us had dinner here, nice variety on the menu everything from Pizza to Spaghetti to Steak food was delicious & great size for the price, welcoming staff & beautiful old building the upstairs restaurant room is stunning, really lovely Italian restaurant Definitely visit here instead of the Carluccio's !!

Tasty food at a reasonable price. Atmosphere is okay, too, but there have been a few times when it has been completely empty in there and it has felt a little awkward. When it’s busier, though, it’s fantastic.

My first visit to wildwood. Had the £10.00 menu. Pizza was burnt at the edge, not many staff on duty. When we went to pay they sprung a 10% service charge on top, no sign, no warning, didn't think that was allowed any more.

We placed an order on Sunday night, which was delivered promptly, great pizza, brownies and drinks perfectly cooked, would definitely recommend.

Excellent. We had a Risoto. They have menu kids and the pasta is well served and my kids love it.

Visited today and had some really good pizza. We were welcomed at the door and service throughout was excellent. Had to say that as there are so many reviews saying it isn’t! Draft beer was very good. Coles all served by the bottle and with ice and a slice. Tap water also served with ice and lemon. Pizzas took a while to come but the place was full on a Tuesday night.

Appalling. Italian food? The lasagne was clearly microwaved, hardly cooked on the top and cremated on the bottom. Ribs tasted like cleaning liquid and were missing the chips. Pizza was cold and undercooked. Calzone had tomato when it was only meant to be bechamel, where the person eating had allergies. I haven't had worse take away in years, and it all came to £70. Just stick to Ask Italian

But my recent delivery experience has been awful. The pizza had less ingredients, was prepared carelessly and it wasn’t sliced.

Lunch was a delight, the greeting and service very attentive the service staff looked after us professionally and in an excellent manner. The burger was tasty, the pasta al dente as it should be, and the Cobb Salad rich with varieties. We will be happy to come back again!

Limited celiac food choices. Would not visit again until foods suitable for celiac expanded.

We used to love this place and highly recommend it but after the last meal we had here was disappointing I wrote to the manager twice to try to get a response but I didnt even get a reply so, sadly, we wont return unless they respond.

Me and my partner enjoyed a wonderful valentine's meal there today (14/2/23). The food was delicious. The staff were really friendly. Would 100% recommend. We will be going back again. The only problem we had was that two members of staff seemed to be having a disagreement which continued for a while and caused one of them to become upset. This was something that could be seen by us as customers. This could have been dealt with differently (maybe off the restaurant area). However, this did not take away from the evening. Lovely atmosphere. Food very well priced with nothing too!

Good casual restaurant. Food is good and relaxed environment February 2023 update The quality of the food at this restaurant has fallen a bit. I had the mushroom melt. It was small and so boring that I could have fallen asleep eating it if I hadn't been occupied looking for the melt element of the meal. The chips, however, were great. The restraunt's decor is looking tired and in need of a refresh

Went to wildwood for the first time today and wasn’t I good experience unfortunately I ordered risotto which came with chicken. I noticed that the chicken was raw. They apologised and said the chi hen is precooked and frozen and that’s how they buy it . They did offer to cook something else and took the money off the bill but I’m hoping I don’t get food poisoning!!

Wildwood via just eat delivery was awful they forgot the pudding the lasagne was half the size and cold Arthur the mam at Wildwood was arrogant and rude

Do not ever order anything for take away!!!! Restaurant is showing you will get the food in 20 minutes and 1.5h later nothing the all possible apps just keep showing time changing longer and longer so obviously the restaurant doesn't have the capacity to serve TAKE OUT. Any sensible manager would switch off all take out services like deliveroo/ubereats/just eat before the shift if there is no capacity. Very poor service.

Wonderful front of house team took our tables allergies and intolerances seriously. There was a delay in the kitchen with one steak, and originally some of our food came out cold. However, the FOH staff and managers were very apologetic, quick to change our meals and I had a delicious Risotto. Other a small BOH issue with cold food, I couldn’t fault the FOH staff for their reactive behaviour.

This was a family Christmas visit before going to the theatre. We booked a day earlier on the website and this was excellent. A return confirmation email in two minutes. However, we turned up to the restaurant bang on time and we’re ushered to our table by a young gentlemen (only one working in the restaurant) although we were the only table at 5pm, so no bones there. The same gentleman took our drinks order which included a bottle of water for everyone. We then went on to order the food. One Philly cheese steak sandwich, one penne pasta, one carbonara, one rib eye and one bolognaise. The food arrived and the carbonara was only warm. The penne pasta was clearly Nuked as was the dauphinois potatoes. We looked for the waiter and he was no where to be seen. We eventually saw him behind the bar on his phone and requested the water we hadn’t received. He agreed to bring the water, but finished his phone session first. The water arrived as we had finished the meal. Children had a pudding and we asked for the bill. He asked if everything was ok with the meal to which my wife replied that her Carbonara was only just warm. He did not give any response at all to this and just walked away. It was only after we had paid the bill and left, that we noticed we had paid a discretionary 10% service charge for service where we didn’t even receive lip service but instead were blanked. This is extremely disappointing for such an establishment £130 bill is more than pub grub money and the food and service were not as good as pub grub.

I have been to Wildwood multiple times with both family and friends and the food is always lovely and appropriately priced. The staff are welcoming and the restaurant has a lovely atmosphere - especially at Christmas time.

I wanted a Philly cheesesteak. I went here because they have Philly cheesesteak. I ordered the Philly cheesesteak. I ate the Philly cheesesteak. My Philly cheesesteak craving was sated. Thanks Wildwood. I deducted a star because the seating was too cramped

Ordered take-a-way confit duck for £16.95. Not impressed... Small, salty and cold. I won't be doing that again.

Service for our main course was a little slow but food was excellent and staff were very attentive given that it was so busy. We will definitely return. Far better than the local Ivy. 🙂

We had our works Christmas meal here and we all came away thrilled with our experience. The Christmas menus were perfect and catered for everybody, even down to special requests with certain items. My first visit to a representative of this particular chain. I had no preconceptions as I've never seen another one or even heard of the brand before. It looked appealing enough to lure us in and, although the decor didn't seem to reflect any particular style or influence, it was attractive, clean and tidy, whilst well-laid out with ample room between tables. We received a bright friendly welcome without the usual probing about reservations. Maybe because very few were in when we arrived, although numbers built up healthily during the lunchtime period. The menu seemed to be biased towards pizza and pasta dishes with a few grilled items on offer too. I'm not a big pizza fan under normal circumstances but I did find my head turned by something called a Philly cheesesteak, mainly because of the steak reference. What turned up was quite a large, oblong, very thin-based specimen with ample meat and cheese, although not much indication of the supposed chimichurri sauce that was also mentioned. Helpfully pizza-cutter separated, it was easier to eat as finger food and I actually quite enjoyed it; filling and tasty. Mrs EPR had a four-cheese equivalent, indicated as "festive" due to several blobs of cranberry. Just about room for dessert, and I was very happy with my lotus biscuit cheesecake - very rich and creamy. Mrs EPR's apple crumble was value for money although somewhat well-nuked. I made a large glass of montepulciano easily last during the meal, its quality was far better than I would have expected. During our stay only one guy was looking after all the tables and doing so with considerable ease. Other staff, including our friendly greeter, seemed to be lurking at the back of the room for a very restrained lunch break. Overall, we enjoyed our visit quite a lot. No rush, a civilised atmosphere and efficient service so not a lot to fault. We'd be happy to call in again.

Only had the meat pizza from here but it was wonderful. Attended with a vegetarian and a vegan, and both of them enjoyed their respective meals.

Nice place to eat and rest in a nice atmosphere in Chichester Food and drinks are good value for money and the place is really warm and elegant. To the staff 6 stars!! they are great and always smiling, ready to help you and guide you trough the menù. Well done guys!!

Just staying one night in Chichester and don't know the area so googled restaurants and Wildwood came up. Been to the one in Epping before and wanted to go back as they have the most amazing sticky toffee pudding. We had a lovely meal and the pudding was just as good as I remembered. Only 2 waiter staff working, but they were on it. Very friendly and polite and despite being busy had everything organised beautifully. Thank you for a great experience 🌟

The welcome and customer service throughout was excellent. We had booked a table for early evening and once again we enjoyed our meal. The Antipasti is delicious and beautifully presented. We both had large Pizzas as we know how good they are. This restaurant is well worth a visit if you enjoy good food and service. Thanks once again Wildwood.

I came here with my partner yesterday and was absolutely blown away by the service and quality of the food. The waiter was really switched on to allergies and made sure that the kitchen were aware of my partner’s gluten intolerance and suggested the tiger...

I paid £15 for a lasagna and that is all I got no chips no salad not even a bit of garlic bread literally just the lasagna not even salad garnish I really can’t believe it!! When I asked for parmesan cheese this lady came out in bare hands holding a lump of it grating over my dinner then wiped her hair to the side. After spending £42 and £4 added for service charge he then brought my change back and said it’s 6 p short I have no change and walked off that is so wrong if anyone should be out of pocket it should be them not the customer I know it’s only 6p but it’s the principal that he done that instead of giving me 10p and making himself out of pocket by 4p after a service charge of £4 is just laughable so we asked for our service charge back! Definitely would not be going back 🤢

We always bring our friends and family to this friendly restaurant. They enjoy the atmosphere and a great menu with great staff. Chicken Nduja is recommended and the lasagne is consistently good.

Realistically they should be charging more, the food is authentic and cooked with care, the service is fast, the staff are helpful and polite. And the bill is close to half what I expected. Really good place

Had a really lovely meal with the family and great service, maybe a little on the pricey side but definitely worth it. Also I have to mention that the Mozzarella and caramelised Onion garlic bread was probably the best I've ever had, it's worth going just for that!

My son was at Chichester university for 2 years and on a Thursday and almost every Monday we used to go as a family down to see him and have lunch here, food used to be really really good I recommended to many of my friends, they used to do a student day with discounts for students, tastecard, Thursday deals. My son wanted to go back and visit Chichester and have a meal there, we were all. Very disappointed. Food was not worth the price. A bowl of lettuce with a few chickpeas and grains £12 ? No more deals, no more discounts !! My daughter had a plate of spaghetti bolognaise could not see the meat at all just plate of dried pasta.. starter bruschetta 1small slice of bread with a few tomatoes thrown on the top. I mean it was very poor came out hungry… what has happened to you wildwood. I wished we had gone to one of the appetising places across the road. To top it off they added a tip.

It’s difficult to distinguish this restaurant from the multitude of other modern bistro-type establishments which are everywhere (think Cote, Bills, Prezzo etc.). However, it’s also difficult to argue against the model - clean, welcoming dining space, extensive menu with influences from many different cuisines, polite,...

Great portion size, pizza crust is nice. We particularly enjoyed the chilli infused oil. Raspberry lemonade was very good. Service was excellent
