We were recommended this by the croucher s hotel and when we arrived we're given water then left for 10min before a waitress came over who had already taken an order from people who came in after us, I am a coeliac and when asked for a glutenfree pizza was told they had none so therefore could not eat there very disappointed as then had to find somewhere to eat. Couldn't eat in the hotels restaurant as a wedding was on there.

I have eaten a lot of pizza in my years. This is some seriously delicious pizza. My word it was tasty. Not even kidding I almost ordered the same thing all over again. My friend had pasta and it was aromatic, flavourful and delicious as the pizza. The staff were friendly and helpful. They helped with recommendations. Always around to help with anything needed. They had great beers but not a load of them, which was ok because what they had was tasty. The one negative, the cappuccino was 5/10. It needed to be stronger.

Enjoyed a family dinner here on holiday, the pizzas are ample and nicely cooked. Service less attentive after it got busier. Good spot.

6 years on and still giving great food and great customer service. Totally recommend

I work here and can vouch for the quality of everything, everything is cooked to order with fresh ingredients and sauces, I’m just the kp and eat here on my days off the food is so good

Sorry to say that we were recommended here but our experience was awful. The service was poor, we waited for over an hour to be served and was dished up a burned pizza. It was black at the edges and peppers were black and dried up. Sauté’s were just boiled potatoes. We complained and the worst aspect was the chef said it wasn’t burnt. Thats worries me that the chef think black pizzas are ok! The attitude of the staff was bad and condescending

Absolutely excellent. Fantastic food and service. Bit of a creature of habit I always have the Pork dish, which they have slightly changed, and I must say is even better now. Great friendly service with food and drink served in a timely manner. Our go to restaurant when working in Chichester, would definitely recommend.

Excellent food and service - disappointing cocktails

We stopped at the CH Ristorante yesterday and ordered 4 pizzas and drinks, not knowing that one hour later, we still will be waiting for our pizzas. How long does it take to make 4 pizzas? Hmm, it took them 1 hour and 15 minutes. I could walk home and make my own at that time, but we paid beforehand. As it was getting cold outside after 45 minutes of waiting, I asked if we could come inside instead of waiting for our order under their gazebo. As there was a free table, they said, 'yes'. I was grateful, at least for this, still waiting for our food. After 1 hour and 15 minutes, our 4 pizzas finally arrived. Honestly? A similar thing happened to me at a different place, but once they realised that we sat there without our foid for longer, they apologised and got us free drinks. But this hasn't happened yesterday. Nothing, but a dry apology. Awful customer service! We've noticed that they've had a second pizza oven, but it wasn't on, so we asked about it. The staff said that they've staff shortage. Ok, I understand, but if you've staff shortage, you know about it and you should tell everyone ordering food that there's a long waiting time. It has happened to me before that places had this issue, but they warned people about it and about the long waiting time. We wouldn't have ordered the pizzas if we knew there's such a long waiting time. This wasn't professional. I've members of family working in gastronomy, and this is not a way they would ever deal with a problem or customer care they would offer in such cases. Simply a disappointment and a disgrace. The manager should know better and teach their staff better customer service. What a shame, simply awful!

Visited here with friends for lunch today and whilst the food was delicious, the service was outstanding! Will was very knowledgeable, professional, friendly with excellent customer service skills. We will definitely return and would recommend.

Would have given zero stars if I could - we ordered 4 pizzas and still no sign of them after an hour. The table next to us waited an hour and a half. The place is run by incompetent morons - avoid!

As guests of Cottage, we booked the table in CHK. The service was very chilled. They even offered us a table outside, although the reservation was inside. The glasses for drinks were dirty, same as catlery. The food seemed to be OK until I found a fly in my dish. I showed it to the waitress and she said: Oh, fly?! But she took my plate and I was told my dish is being redone. However it come back after 5 minutes cold. I'm not sure how it has been redone. Anyway, they added service charge to our bill and seemed not to be bothered to serve "an additional portion of protein" to breast feeding mother. I don't recommend this place.

I was with friends, 4 people in total, We had Top quality food, really friendly staff, And prices were fair. At the end we were walking back to the Marina, Hayden very kindly, went out of his way to show a safe route back. Young blond guy was running the restaurant, loved his enthusiasm throughout the evening 👍

Had lunch today, unfortunately I had the beef lasagne which was both dry and overcooked to the point the top was burnt possibly the worst I have ever had and not to the standard I have had during previous visits. Graham Fisher

Great pizzas and reasonable prices too.. a bit noisy and extremely hot. Shame we couldn't eat outside with plates..

Poor service, poor food, nice venue. The staff were milling around, chatting and talking about how bad some of their customers were; despite being asked three times for ice. Despite trying to catch someone's eye, it took 30mins to pay. The pizzas are OK. No better than a home made one, except with only a cynical smattering of topping. The haddock and crayfish linguine looked and tasted like discount/last day of best-before tescos "fresh" pasts. The crayfish was overcooked tasted like it came out of a bookers briney pot. The haddock was nice, what little there was of it, but the pasts and nonexistant sauce were dire. The venue is had a nice feel and style. I wish the food was as authentic as the Italian name for the pasta. Could be great, I wish it was great, alas it is way off the mark.

Superb pizzas. Why have we only just discovered this place?

Not eaten the pizza yet, as waiting in the car for my take away. But lovely warm welcome from waiter, who helped make up a veggie pizza of my choice and is bringing them out to the car for me when ready, because of the rain! What great service, and all with a smile 👍

The overall experience was awesome. I’ve enjoyed it and so did my nephews. It was of the cough adventure and definitely will be going back.

Not to sure about all these negative Nancy’s are going on about in the below reviews but they were totally wrong. Glad we found this place the staff were really lovely and positive came straight over to us for drinks & food. Our starters were really tasty and good size portion. The pizza was fresh and had loads of toppings we boxed up to take back home as it was huge! Easily one of our stop offs on the way home and would thoroughly recommend it. The service was quick for us and even though it was busy, still felt very attentive. Thank you!

After so many negative reviews, I thought I really should say our experience this evening could not have been better, the food was excellent and the service was very attentive. I went with the prospect of a sad evening meal, but was rewarded with a lovely evening.

A birthday family meal tainted by lazy staff! Table booked well in advance, children and adults. Drinks took 20mins+ and still they forgot one. If they were busy I’d understand but there were four staff just stood chatting looking at us as if we’d hugely inconvenienced their evening by just being there. Food huge delay-first pizza arrived (we only ordered five so there shouldn’t have been such a time difference between them coming) and the last one came 12 minutes later. So much for eating at the same time! We had one child who can’t eat eggs or dairy. It was as if I’d asked for their grandmother on a plate! They managed to get a calypo after two requests - desserts included on kids menu but they charged us an extra £2 for the poxy lolly! Then, after such shocking service, they slipped £30 on for service. We made it clear we were spitting bill and not paying service. But they told us there was X outstanding on the bill so we paid it and guess what, they charged us the service. Food was nice but the service left a very sour taste. Management, get down there and kick some butt. Even the chefs were stood around at the bar with the plethora of staff glaring at us at 2130-no kitchen to clean or food to prep?!

Super tasty pizza, delicious garlicy mushroom bruchetta and even better tiramisu. We picked up take away but the place looked great and would definitely like to visit again and eat in

Really good food but this comes at a price This was my second time and given my first I decided to give it another go after a bad service experience. I have to say the second visit was ideal.

Really disappointed. Pizza had something moldy on and the spaghetti bolognaise was runny and tasteless. Had to get a meal after eating here. They only took the price of the pizza I didn’t eat off, even though it ruined the meal and experience. Would not go again.

Zero customer service, 2 tables out of soooo many were taken, the rest reserved, by the sound of it for nearly 2 hours!!! The staff unfriendly and unhelpful, left for Lamb Inn, were served with a smile and within an hour we left with full bellies and smiles on our faces. Something to learn from them...

Pastas were excellent and made with fresh ingredients. The cannoli and ice cream for dessert were tasty. There are many vegetarian options in the menu.

Bad body language. They were busy but disinterested in entertaining us even with a drink standing up outside (which was very quiet and dead) because of what looked like a badly organised event on their field. Shufflers and repetitive music and stone island wearing peeps clearly paying for the night.

A work colleague recommended CHK, so thought we should go. Wanted to book for a Saturday night, managed to get booked but a little earlier than we wanted as they were fully booked. It quite a small place inside but I must say the food was amazing, we had a sharing plater to start then we both a pizzas for mains and tiramisu for dessert. Up there with the best I've had and would recommend. The service was a little slow but for us that wasn't a problem as we weren't in a hurry. Once the weather get better they have a lovely outside space which we will try.

Unfortunately a bad experience with the staff and chef calling us a liar. The food I must say is very good but ordered extras on the pizza which were not on there. We spent £90 and quibbled over £3.. argumentative staff is never a nice experience, such a shame we won’t return as the food as good. Maybe a new manager and chef, waiting staff very nice but Disappointed by the management and chefs attitude.

Some of the best Pizza I’ve ever had! (I’ve eaten a lot of pizza) my partners carbonara was extremely fresh and packed with flavour too. Will return for sure!

Stopped for lunch and ended up waiting an hour for two pizzas, and then one of them was missing the main topping. Got a refund for the wrong pizza when we asked, but pretty poor service.

Don't go there I wasn't impressed with the service or the taste of the food, or being lied to.was told that we can't have pasta as the chefs having a break, for an hour which is ok but very strange as was a large party of people on a table behind us, obviously had booked, I wanted the pork fillet but was told they don't have any so really what they should have said was were only serving terrible old pizzas, to you. But the people behind you can have what ever they want, even the pork because by magic they had it.. it was a long long time before we got our terrible pizza, it's a shame as we would have frequented there and told our friends but we hate being lied to and patronised, don't go there terrible .

Unfortunately this was a very disappointing visit. On the phone we were told we would have a table inside. When we arrived we were told we had to sit outside. We ordered olives to nibble on while we waited for pizzas, but they never arrived until about 45 minutes after we arrived and only when we chased them. The pizzas arrived after about 1 hour 10 minutes, and after we had chased them. It shouldn’t take over an hour for pizzas in a pizza restaurant. We had somewhere else to go after so this really spoiled our evening. When we asked for some sort of gesture the waiter said he would, but still produced the regular bill. When I spoke to him again he said he would have to speak to his manager. The manager then rudely kept me waiting whilst he dealt with some paperwork. Eventually he apologised, said they were very busy, gave us some discount. I think part of the explanation is they take takeaway orders as well. Any restaurant should be able to cope with the number of diners sitting in their restaurant, but here they seem to prioritise over their dining customers!!

Great Italian restaurant. A great selection of Pizza and Pasta. Caters for Vegetarians and the staff are very responsive and friendly. If you are in the area it would be worth visiting.

Booked a table and added notes to the reservation that we had a small well behaved dog that we were bringing with us and wanted to sit inside. The reservation was booked more than a month ago. Queued up at the door to introduce ourselves to be met by a loud and rude voice from the far end of the restaurant, “you can’t bring your dog in!” I told one of the waiting staff that I made it quite clear that we were bringing our dog and didn’t want to sit outdoors. She agreed and said that she had called twice that day. I asked why no message was left and was told their phone system was new and she had no idea how to leave a voicemail. We decided to go elsewhere for food but what use is being told the same day dogs are not allowed in their restaurant. So if you’ve got a dog and want to sit in the restaurant, don’t waste your time. We went to a place called the Bosham Inn and they had no problem with dogs, and the food and service were second to none. I highly recommend going there.

One of my favourite pizza places around. A wide range of options with whatever toppings you can think of. Attentive service and nice inside and outside (weather permitting) seating options.

Had the best evening dining here, our waiter (Eddie) was very knowledgeable and even gave us wine tasters as we were contemplating which to order. We both were very impressed by his warm and welcoming demeanour. The food was phenomenal, we couldn’t decide so shared two plates. The coffee and ice cream was also outstanding. Can’t wait to visit again. Quiet, laid back atmosphere, beautifully decorated and staff who care. Highly recommend ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Extra appreciation for our server Eddie!! He ‘made’ our experience 🙌

All the staff are really friendly and welcoming. The pizza was nice. My only negative would be the pasta (seafood) was a very small portion, was overpriced for the amount served. That said, we would return for pizza 😊

Had our works Christmas Dinner here for the 2nd year! 👌👍 very good food every meal from starter to dessert were delicious, freshly cooked great ingredients definitely worth a visit best pizza/pasta restaurant in the area in my opinion. Keep up the good work.

Food was well priced, good portion sizes and good quality! Saw another table get a calzone, looked big enough to feed 2! Milkshake was amazing, definitely worth the price tag. Cocktail (english garden) was sickly sweet unfortunately

Absolutely great evening with 11 friends on a Friday night before Christmas. My first visit and it was brilliant. Service couldn’t have been better, pizza was brilliant and for a large group we were really looked after. There was a small accident at the table where one of the group knocked a drink over a pizza. The drink and pizza were replaced swiftly free of charge, which was very much appreciated. Will be coming back!

We eat the restaurant today, was a lovely meal. Was relaxed, not rushed great service the food was lovely so much of it and they even will box up the left overs for a takeaway would eat here again highly recommend.

Decided to go with a friend who loves Italian food and CHK didn't disappoint! The food was fantastic and service on point. Venue is delightfully different to chain restaurants and looking forward to trying it in the summer, when the outdoor section will be great. Will definitely go again!

I took a group of 23 diners to CHK on Friday evening. Great atmosphere, excellent food and a really friendly and professional service. We will certainly return.

Absolutely wonderful evening. The service was excellent and still friendly. The food was delicious, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND the apple pie thing for dessert 😛😛😛 We were the last ones in there on a Tuesday night and didn't feel rushed or like they were waiting for us to leave. Which made me very happy.

Visit on the 26th.. So why only 3* ?.. simple really & as 1 of my guests fed back, the lack of a stand alone fish inspired dish on the revamped menu, was & is in our collective ( 4 ) opinion, a mistake !.. You offer a stand alone steak option & a number of dishes where shell fish is included, but no fish dish..🤔🤔. Taken in it's entirety, we did enjoy our evening, though I did feel that the gap between starters & mains was a tad too long. Fingers crossed you give consideration to offering a fish inspired dish again..

Online order lost. After entering all info, received confirmation text. No record of the order when I arrived. Said I would have to wait an hour. No sense of urgency or customer service.

Best pizza I’ve ever had - and I’ve lived in Italy for 3 years.

The team are super attentive and the atmosphere is very nice with the big oak trees outside. The kitchen team pushed the boat out and adapted one of the crab pasta dishes to suit my dietary requirements. Much appreciated! See you soon

The service is painfully slow! They don’t have enough staff to cope with a busy evening, been here 3 times and you have to wait at least 1 hour for a simple pizza every time. Not worth the visit!

So, this our regular post West Witterings stopover for an evening meal en famille. So far so good. Happy to accommodate our Vizsla outside and good, honest pizza & fresh pasta. Until yesterday evening on our daughter’s birthday. My wife’s gluten free pizza looked like it had come out of an amateur bbq - blackened all around & tough as old boots. We’d waited nearly half an hour, so weren’t encouraged to accept the offer of other one from the waitress…When we complained to the Manager, she unhelpfully reminded us of the waitress’ offer & eventually took 10% of the bill. Oh dear, talk about lost opportunity to delight regular customers! And to add salt to the wounds, the noisy table next to us were using foul language in front of young ones! Not our evening!

If I could give this restaurant no stars, I would. The service was very slow, but absolutely worse of all was that I explained I was vegan and I asked for a vegan salad which they said they could do. They then proceeded to give me a salad with meat in which I didn’t recognise as I haven’t eaten meat for 40 years. I was absolutely distraught when I realised what they had done. I will survive this but if they made a similar careless mistake like this with someone who had a food allergy, they may not. Shame on them.

Driven 20 miles to have a crab pasta as we have done twice before unfortunately the dish this time was dry and lacked any cream the crab was hard to find . Got the impression this dish had been cooked a little while and dried out. It was served lukewarm overall poor . It has put us off travelling that far for a disappointment. Neville

Booked a table on an extremely hot evening, arrived to be told we had to sit inside where it was absolutely boiling hot. Outside tables were reserved but we were told their outside table reservations were not working on line?? So how has anyone reserved a table outside ? We asked to sit somewhere outside and was told we could sit in the field but we had to come in and order it would be takeaway food only and an hour wait!! The hosts were extremely rude and unhelpful and made us feel like they couldn’t care less about finding their customers a table in 27 degree heat. All they did was blame goodwood ! If you book a table in advance you should have priority and in this extremely hot weather with all your outside seating, you should be organised and serving customers outside with the space you have! No management no customer service, didn’t even eat here and would not return. Ridiculous rules and unorganised business in general.

We keep coming back! Good pizza/ pasta menu. Good variety of toppings. Service was attentive and friendly. Relaxing lunch with my adult son. Ticked all the boxes.

We were one of 3 tables booked together. Our group were all seated at the same time but one table were not permitted to order for an hour after being seated and then waited over an hour for their food. Meantime other groups were in and out of the restaurant having had 3 courses. No apologies given or explanation. When we complained we were spoken to incredibly rudely and no offer to reduce the bill. Begrudgingly they took off the service charge. Never had such poor customer service and the food did nothing to make up for it. Pizzas were soggy and unappetising. So that’s 24 customers who won’t ever be returning which is a shame as we have a holiday property in the area.

Terrible service! Table booked for 1730, pizza arrived at 1930 Waited 2hours, no apology just the ‘supervisor’ (a lady) denying we had waited that long! No customer service at all! Clearly a problem with the restaurant perhaps the owners should be looking into the issues! Could be a lovely restaurant, unfortunately would not recommend nor would go back.

This is by the far the best pizza in Chichester, possibly ever. It's freshly made and there is an amazing selection of pizza flavourings. We've been 3 times in 2 weeks. We simply can't get enough of this place. It's in a beautiful setting and we enjoy eating outside. On a Friday and Saturday they have the bar outside, which is fantastic. The staff are lovely, very efficient and friendly. We've been very impressed with Hayden and Charlie who have served us each time. Highly recommend.

Just popped by for spontaneous lunch with a friend. We couldn't have wished for a better venue, albeit weather non compliant! Staff offered friendly welcome, couldn't have been more polite and helpful. The menu is varied, offering options for every taste. We tried both pizza and a salad, each of them were superb. Value for money I thought was excellent. Plenty of parking available. I'll definitely be back soon.

This past visit would have been my 5th since it opened. Previous visits were V v good. This one, just, well, bad all round. More table servers standing around chatting than doing their job. Waiting way too long for our table to be cleaned/cleared and all the while the staff - when not chatting - were laying cutlery & napkins for empty tables !! Waiting way too long for desert ( 20 minutes) which we eventually cancelled 😡 we received Zero service, and they got zero service charge. Note to owners: must do better if you want to maintain regular clients.

So pizza is great and tasty. Sitting outside on lawn also nice. Picnic a great idea. But the staff are a bit clueless and lost. Spoils the atmosphere as they seem to be a bit untrained. That puts pressure on manager who is at least trying. Would not come here for sit down meal as staff spoils atmosphere but would do take away or picnic on lawn.

Delicious! I ordered something I normally wouldn't (like a stuffed focaccia), and it was beyond delicious. Very clean and nice people!
