Prezzo - Chichester in Chichester

We arrived at around 2 ish on 6th April 2023. Our first impression was that they were closed it was very dark and quiet. We did some some other people sitting at tables so we waited by the sign that said "Please wait here to be seated"... And we waited, and we waited, and we waited... At last, a staff member came into view from behind the bar. He then diligently avoided eye contact and proceeded to completely ignore us. He disappeared back into the kitchen. That's OK I thought, he's probably telling somebody that there are customers waiting to be seated. The same staff member made another brief appearance behind the bar and once again ignored us. Game over, we left and went on to have a fantastic meal at a restaurant called "Bill's" just around the corner. Rule 1, page 1: Even if you're busy, do not ignore customers ever! "Apologies for the delay folks, somebody will be with you very shortly" is all he needed to say in order for you to keep a customer and avoid a scathing review. What you have done is loose me as a customer, not just in Chichester, but nationwide, forever. Which is a shame because I really like your food.

Literally the worst place ever, we ended up feeling so uncomfortable because of the rude staff, the hairs in our food, and the wrong order. We asked for a jug of water and a waiter legit went “oh for f@@@@ sake”. Please don’t go here. X

I love this restaurant . Although it’s more expensive than , for instance , Ask , it has bags of character . The staff are really professional and friendly . I had calzone which was very filling and my partner had pasta , there is a huge range of choice here . Lots of choice for vegans / vegetarians , plus desserts and wines . I will return again .

Overpriced and disappointing. We went out as a couple for a rare treat without the children. We had a voucher which we thought would provide good value for money. Alas, this was not the case even with the voucher. I had the beef in red wine and some dubious, looking grey mash potato. I have had ready meals that looked and tasted more appealing. My wife had some non-descript pasta. This arrived at the table, still partially frozen. We complained and another dish was provided for her after some delay. The staff were not overly apologetic, and bearing in mind that my meal alone cost in the region of £20, it felt extremely overpriced for the mediocre food . In hindsight, we should’ve gone next door where the menu was more to our liking and provide is better value for money, even without the voucher.

We visited as a group of six. We have visited 3 or 4 times a year for some time. It has always been an enjoyable experience but this time was a great disappointment. Two of the main courses had a most unpleasant taste and the pizza, though very tasty, was cold. The staff went out of their way to correct the problem and really couldn’t have been more helpful or professional. A special mention must go to Simona the manager who really showed exceptional customer service skills. She was a joy to deal with. We received the bill and offered the cash but were informed that they were not allowed to accept cash. We had seen no signs nor was there any warning of this on our online booking. Fortunately we were able to pay by card but it was very inconvenient and annoying. If our cash isn’t good enough for Prezzo I have no doubt that other restaurants will be more than happy take it. We won’t be back.

Fast service, tasty food, good value for money and allergen options. Had a late lunch with 4 friends here and it is exactly what it says on the tin….enjoyable Italian food at a reasonable price. A specific gluten free menu with plenty of options. Using a voucher code it was £67 for 4 of us including a glass of wine. Happy days

Myself and my partner went out for date night, we had one drink before we left the house and a drink with our food. The food was delicious ( highly recommend the truffle fries, Ragu and truffle mac and cheese) the waitresses where lovely however we had finished our food and my partner ordered a cocktail to finish I changed my mind and didn't want a cocktail and asked for a vodka instead, the barman replies with " you've had enough" I was so offended. I payed the bill and left. Totally put a downer on our night after such lovely food. Very disappointed with the service received from the barman maybe some customer service training is required.

We went here with a friend for lunch and had a lovely pizza and glass of wine for 14.95 and also 2 x pastas and wines for 14.95 each. You have to ask for the lunch menu as its not automatically given to you. The service is friendly and although the restaurant was very busy you didnt feel rushed. Our favourite out of all the pizza restaurants in Chichester.

Brilliant building nice atmosphere, food tasty and the staff was absolutely amazing, we haven’t been dining with prezzo for a long time but we will be returning soon

Sunday afternoon. Seated quickly, and ordered within 5 mins. Friendly and efficient staff, and food was great. A breath of fresh air having just walked out of Pizza Express due to non existent service.

I have been visiting the Chichester Prezzos for a number of years each with a group of friends. Previously the service has been fantastic along with the food but with recent management changes unfortunately these standards have dropped dramatically. On our last visit the service had been slow, following finishing our mains we waited at least 20 minutes for the plates to be cleared and no coffees/ drinks/ puddings were offered. Another 20 minutes went by (now 9pm) for the waitress to inform us they were closing at 9.30pm. At this point we asked if we could see the dessert menu only to be told the kitchen was now closed. We were told that we could have ice cream as they serve this behind the bar so we did order some, however it looked like it was served by a 5 year old, no scoop just splattered into the bowls. Again once finishing dessert there was no urgency to clear the table, despite closing at 9.30. We had a meerkat voucher to apply which we use on every visit but on this occasion apparently we could not apply to the pudding (which has never been any issue preciously). Unfortunately we will no longer be visiting due to the service getting increasingly worse, which is such a huge shame as we’ve been regular customers for 5+ years!

As we were one of 3 or 4 tables in for dinner with 4 members of staff working you’d imagine that the service would be fast and efficient, not at all. Ordered drinks at the start and water for the table, we didn’t get the water and had to ask again when the food came out. One member of the party wanted a large Peroni and was told they had run out of large, which is fine except we later saw a staff member drinking one so you hadn’t run out. As for the food service, we had ordered starters and mains but when the starters came out the waitress said there had been an error entering the order and all the food is coming out now so we had starters mains and side all out together on the table. Food was nice as expected. After mains I ordered dessert, just me, and every other table had finished eating. 1 slice of cheesecake, pre made, not cooked, should’ve taken 1-2 minutes, but took a lot longer. All in all, service was not good at any point.

Usually our go to restaurant, the last 3 times however have put us off entirely and so much so we doubt we will be back. First visit, service was that slow we ordered drinks off of the app which the manager quiried and didnt seem bothered about our feedback. Second visit, we sat out in the garden and we were just neglected! Surrounded by dirty tables, we waited an hour and a half to just have 1 drink and our starters! We had to go to the bar for everything, when we got a drinks list the barman didn't think to ask if we wanted drinks etc. When explaining our reasons to be leaving it just seemed normal to them which made us leaving annoyed as we left hungry and it was too late to go anywhere else. Last visit, we were there to give the benefit of the doubt and use the complimentary voucher we were given due to the second visit. The food was nice and came out quick, Service was slow again, without many tables in, seeing a lot of customers as did we have to go to the bar to ask for things. My partners Pornstar martini wasn't nice - not entirely sure how they are making them! When it came to the bill they were reluctant to honour the voucher. Having amended the bill 3 times the time this took meant we were late for our scheduled plans later in the evening. Seems a lack of leadership/ manager presence as service is very slow and scattered even though not many tables, the servers don't seem interested in looking after the customers - more so bottling up and putting away cutlery giving the impression they just want to close down! Used to be lovely food and service, not sure what has gone drastically wrong in such a short period of time.

I attended this restaurant for my 21st birthday, which I will say to the staff the set up they had done for me was lovely, they had put 21 balloons up for me which family had asked and taken in. However, that's about all I can say was good service wise. The food was really nice, just disappointed with the fact that our garlic bread came out when we forgot our starters - clearly forgotten about. The service was so awful, there was only about 4 or 5 other tables in there. Was just left to ourselves and not asked how anything was and felt very neglected, had to get someone's attention every time when we wanted something, with staff standing round doing nothing. Another major issue was warm beer, for £7 a bottle I would expect cold beer, no excuse for warm beer and when questioned was told there was none cold. Wouldn't have ordered it if was aware when ordered. Had a pornstar martini and it tasted horrible, however the rum punch I had made up for it and was delicious. Luckily I had a 2-4-1 voucher so not too bad priced but left disappointed on my 21st birthday and ruined the rest of my evening. All in all, the food was great, but the service was shocking and won't be returning anytime soon

I Came here, because we thought we had been to Zizzis, pizza express and ASK and thought we’d give Prezzo a go. It was awful. I won’t complain about our server as he was obviously knew and I didn’t want him to feel like he was doing a bad job as it’s a tough industry. However, the food was worse than my own cooking. I had the oak-smoke salmon pasta and my partner the Pepperoni pizza. My pasta was barely “creamy”, the salmon was like a meatball, brown and chewy, so probably frozen and the sauce honestly tasted like it came from a jar. My partners pizza was bland, the pepperoni was worse quality than Tesco, almost like cardboard soaked in oil and painted red, I would rather a Goodmans frozen pizza any day compared to it. The chips tasted like they got them out of McDonald’s leftovers. Garlic bread didn’t taste anything like what it should. In my honest opinion, it was as if I’d just brushed my teeth, before eating everything. I couldn’t even describe the taste. I’m not one to complain to a server, as I know how rubbish a complaining customer can make you feel and I know during these times they will have had it hard. The bill came to £28 with the eat out to help out, which is obviously Amazing for two starters and mains with a drink each, but when Wagamama’s is cheaper with three starters and a main and amazing food, It’s clear why these places are normally quiet.

We had our table booked for 14:00 and everything was fine, the meal was nothing special but was acceptable we then had our coffees and left, no sooner had we got into the street we we're accosted by the manageress who had run out into the street loudly saying in front of people that we hadn't paid, it was only when my wife had to rummage through her bag in the pouring rain to find the paid receipt the your manageress scurried back into building.This completely spoilt what should have been a pleasant experience, it made me feel ill as I had a stroke about 9 weeks ago and don't need this sort of upset. First meal out as a family since lockdown and it was brilliant. When we arrived the waiter explained all the Covid precautions to be aware of and the different methods to order. The food came really quickly and was really tasty. The staff were all really friendly. We will definitely be going back. I must say.... this is the first time I’ve been to a prezzo (and I’ve been to loads) where the service has been quick and really good. Prezzo is known for slow service but this was better than ever before! Keep it up!

Went in today for a treat with my family and inlaws. The waitress couldn't have been ruder if she tried. My father in law asked for a lager shandy. She told him he couldn't have 1 and would have to order 2 drinks:1 larger and 1 lemonade.She then brings him a large Peroni. And a small lemonade which she slamed on the table. When I said excuse me that she should be a small lager She was rude and aggressive and said it was to avoid customer contact if he wants another. I requested she get a small one and she huffed off. No one at our table was drinking and this was a perfectly reasonable request.The food was absolutely gross, half burnt, half not cooked (my tomato and pepper sauce just contained slice raw cold pepper-not even slightly cooked) no one came back to ask if our meals were OK, i to go and find the manager. 1 main and salad was removed from our bill. We will not return to Prezzo or recommend it to anyone.

Our first visit to Prezzos in such a long time. Staff were all clearly aware of what needed to be done and were sanitising and cleaning all the time we were there, this gave us confidence and we all felt very safe.A limited menu in place but still a good selection on offer. A great meal plus 40% off with a discount voucher. Good choice on menu & staff very friendly. My wife had a gluten free pizza which was really good. I had Spaghetti meatballs Al Forno, very tasty & a good size portion.

Went in here not long ago to have dinner with a friend and the food was really good. I’m a vegetarian at the moment and they offered a good selection of vegetarian meals. I enjoyed coming here would definitely come again. The staff here are also polite and helpful

I don’t know where to start....Came here with a few friends a couple months ago and the service was very poor and the food was cold, we then ordered a coffee with desert which came and was also cold (it wasn’t very busy) food was okay to eat cold but you can’t drink a cold coffee let’s be honest! So we told the waitress and she came back and said I’ve microwaved them for you so they are hot now.... we were all a little baffled as I’m sure restaurants can’t do this.She then had to identify who’s coffee was who’s from our lipstick on the cups!! We explained to her that she can’t microwave coffee as it creates a thick skin on the top (which it did) she then made us another around of coffees from scratch. I don’t recommend this place at all!

I recently enjoyed an early evening supper with a friend at Prezzo, Chichester after a long day’s shopping! We spontaneously ordered champagne, just because!! The staff here are always friendly, attentive and professional, which is refreshing. We ordered a large garlic pizza bread, with balsamic onions and mozzarella to share, followed by a large garlic mushroom pizza and a large goat’s cheese and red pepper pizza! Everything was super delicious and perfectly accompanied by the champagne! (Our eyes were bigger than our stomachs and so we asked for ‘doggy bags’!)This is a great franchise of Prezzo and comes highly recommended.

We were visiting Chichester for the first time and had a restaurant gift voucher for 3 courses with a glass of wine. Having a good experience of previous Prezzo's we choose to eat here. The service was friendly and efficient. The atmosphere was very nice with lovely Xmas decorations. My husband and I both had the breaded mozzarella which was a huge portion. Then he had a Pizza and I had the spagetti carbonara, both very good. Finished with Sticky toffee pudding and ice cream, huge portion and lovely. I would recommend this restaurant and good location right on the main shopping street.

I've eaten here twice at lunchtimes lately using Meerkat meals, 2 for 1 vouchers. The food really is good. The Pizzas are massive and have always been perfectly cooked. A little measly on the peppers, but hey ho. The Prawn starter in Italian marinara sauce is excellent. Service is good at lunchtime, and it always has a good atmopshere. I don't normally choose chain restaurants as first choice, but living locally, this is a regular for me now.

I booked the restaurant as I had a Tesco’s voucher to use on the food and I like this chain of restaurants. We were able to pick a table and the staff were welcoming and friendly. Our drinks came speedily. I ordered the king prawn and salmon risotto and my friend ordered the avocado, chicken and bacon salad. Both of us enjoyed our meals they were very tasty, the sauce on mine was delicious and the salad came with bread. My friend had a small lemon pudding served with coffee and liked it but on the menu it did state there was coconut in it which was surprising!Good meal all round thank you.

Visited on a Friday evening with 10 works colleagues. The service was acceptable and the food was fine for everyone. The only disappointment was the Gents toilet was out of order and we had to queue for the disabled toilet. We will certainly visit again as we always feel welcome.

First time eating here and the first thing that hit me was the fantastic customer service, the staff really helpful and friendly. We had booked a table for 1400 but by 1300 we were ready to eat, the manager sorted it out, even though they were busy and gave us a genuine smile when we thanked him. We had the 2 course Autumn Menu with a glass of wine all for £15.95 pp, great value for money, good selection and the food was really good. We could have done the 2for1 for a bigger choice, but we were more than with what we ordered. Will definitely be back, thank you

Good food, although I wouldn't go so far as to say that the menu offers real Italian cuisine... good dishes, however, and well cooked, as in many other restaurants in the chain. What is missing, in Chichester, is the quality of service: unacceptable. The staff is generally very rude, not at all welcoming, not at all friendly and does not hide in any way their thoughts: that your presence there is unwelcome and that they can't wait for you to get out of their way! After several disappointing visits, we decided to forget this restaurant, which is also close to home and in a very well-appointed setting. Last night, however, taking advantage of an offer received by email, we ordered pizzas to collect. Thinking this way to be on the safe side… When my daughter and I arrived to pick them up, though, the young girl at the checkout looked at us very badly. Not a good start. But it got even worse: "Are you all right?" she asked, in the same tone she could have said. "But what the hell are you doing here?" Great welcome! When I explained that it was a collection, she seemed very relieved. She pointed out three cardboard boxes, which were already on the counter and stayed there, to look at us (badly) until we went out with our pizzas. Another very disappointing experience. Too bad, because the food is good, the place is very nice and the pizzas were really delicious. Perhaps a more prepared and more polite staff could make the whole thing a pleasant experience. Too bad, really.

Went for lunch. Welcome unenthusiastic. Ordered drinks then felt rushed to order food. Starters ok. Ask for a time gap before mains felt like an inconvenience. Had to ask 3 times for a jug of water. Brought wrong wine to table. Mains, chicken and asparagus risotto bland, chicken leek with a creamy gorgonzola sauce tasted sour. Waitress said she had it for lunch and it was fine didn't really listen. Desert ok. Ask for bill the waitress had kindly taken the chicken and leek dish of the bill. When confronted about not putting our bottle of wine on the bill she admitted that her and the waitress she took over from had communicated. Good job we are honest. Eat here on numerous occasions, menu cheap but by no means cheerful, options very limited to previous. I think the service may improve if you put your team in a uniform and a name badge then they may have a bit of pride in where they work and there product. Far cry from the Arundel restaurant. Sadly may be last visit

We went in to the restaurant with a buy a gift voucher and treated so very well. It was it’s on special menu however the choice, although limited, was excellent. Portions were ample and the food was cooked to perfection. The staff were friendly and attentive. I am looking forward to a return visit.

Started with a chicken pasta dish which was average with overcooked dried and chewy chicken.

Had been given a voucher for set 3 course meal with wine. Found the food choice very limited and the food was poor. If you like decent food do not come here, chain restaurant rubbish, even the ice cream was the cheap low quality stuff. Staff and service however was excellent.

We visited Chichester for a short break and fancied an Italian meal and just happened to right outside Prezzo's and as we liked the food served by this chain of restaurants we popped in, the service and food was excellent, and the atmosphere was just right.

We popped in for an early evening meal. The restaurant was not too busy, which based on previous experiences this made the service better. The food was good this time round.

Went with three friends last night. The food at best was average. The topper portions on the pizzas were smaller than they were. The starters had also shrunk but the deserts were good value. The building itself is lovely and the service was good.

Went on bank holiday, staff looked like they didn’t want to be there, they took ages to take our order. While place needs a good clean and fit was so bland

Decided to take my family to prezzo as I am aware that is one of the oldest buildings in chichester. As we entered a waitress came to give us a table and menu. We had sharing pizza bites and another starter wich name I cant remember and 1 regular pizza each.

I’ve put off going to Prezzo for a while as the last time a group of us went (Christmas eve) lots of items were off the menu and the place lacked atmosphere, staff almost seemed to want to get rid of us making what should have been a nice relaxing get together, a tad stressful.

I’ve been eating in Prezzo Chichester after a long time, and I’m never disappointed! Staff is absolutely friendly and talkative ! I would recommend 💯 as it’s amazing! P.s.: I saw some comments down here, I honestly think some ppl are just to fussy 😌

early lunch visit so our service was good, hardly anyone there as it was midweek. Sat outside as it was a warm day. My salad was very disappointing, chicken dry, bacon almost non-existent, lettuce limp and the portion unimpressive. I will probably visit Prezzo again but will not have this salad.

Left after twenty minutes of sitting at a table without being even offered a drink. When I asked the staff member why this was she shrugged her shoulders and walked off. That was enough for me. Moved the family to Wildwood down the street and had a much better experience. Get better staff prezzo !!

I was in Chicester again and i decided to go to eat somwhere and when i pass Prezzo i just remember i been there one year ago with my girlfriend to eat and those people treated as not so good because i asked for a extra slice of flat bred for my king prawns starter as the starter was cooming with only 2 tiny slice of bred.

We normally like this restaurant but it was uncomfortable today because it was hot. They had a fan, but that just pushed hot air around. It was a relief to get outside into the normal early evening air. The food was nearly as good as usual - just two exceptions - the Pizza Vesuvio used to have red or green chillis on top - now they just have a few sweet chillis to make it look pretty. The fire was created by the chilli oil. When asked for vinegar for the fries (with the burger) we were presented with balsamic which is just not right on fries - the response was merely that they do not have malt vinegar. From 19MKM19's review, I understand there is an amazing garden! Why were we not told about this?

Went to Prezzo's to celebrate a birthday and claim our free bottle of Prosecco. Slight delay with drinks as the dishwasher had broken down so glasses were being washed by hand but otherwise service was good. Food well up to usual Prezzo standards and reasonably priced. It was a very hot evening and there was no air-conditioning but fans had been placed around which helped a lot.

Te three of us all enjoyed our lunch here yesterday. I ordered two starters rather than a main and loved both-the buffalo cheese in my caprese salad was amazing and my meatballs so good. Service was fast and friendly-I'd love to be able to eat here again!

I had a lovely lunch with my friends in May, the weather was nice and the waitress recommended to sit in the garden. The garden is amazing, the food was delicious and the service was spot on! We tried their new gin&tonics;, the Signiture G&T; one of the best mixer I’ve ever had.

It was my second visit to this particular prezzo in last couple weeks. After my first experince I inveted couple of my friends for early dinner to this lovely restaurant. Once again super food and really friendly and great service. And the best part of it is the availibility of beer garden in the back of the restaurant. Not many other places in Chi offer this option. I've visited this restaurant few days ago with my boyfriend, we had an amazing meal. This time we set outside where we have been surrounded by trees and flowers. Not to mention that they allow dogs in there, it is hard to find a place where you allowed but we happy we found the right one.

I celebrated my birthday here with my other half. Had such a perfect evening, lovely atmosphere and attentive staff, it was busy but waiters were fantastic. I even got a free bottle of Prosecco for my birthday!! Thank you for a lovely evening!

When you are next in the Chichester area do try the best Italian restaurant in town for lunch or dinner. You won't be disappointed.

Used a Buyagift voucher on may 14th and was very impressed, the waitress think she was called Melinda she was from Budapest, was really good so friendly polite and friendly, nothing too much trouble. The food was excellent and the restaurant cosy. Well done Prezzo the best one of your restaurants we have visited, thank you.

Very good food, attentive service, lovely atmosphere. had an early dinner before visiting the theatre, would recommend as a good place to eat beforehand.

Had a lovely lunch and drink at Prezzos in Chichester, there was 13 of us and the service was excellent and the food was amazing. Great lunch 😊

First time here & wasn't disappointed. Lovely old Tudor building with lots of beams & Prezzo giving it a whole new lease of life. Arrived at a busy time so were a tiny bit slow getting served with drinks & first course, but as the lunchtimers started to leave the service sped up a bit. Friendly staff, nothing too much trouble. Baked mushroom starter was delicious. My spicy Calzone was tasy, but not as spicy as expected & just everso slightly the wrong side of warm. The Pinot Grigio was excellent, as were the 2 ice cold Perronis. Overall a little expensive for what is essentially Pizza & Pasta, but there's a good choice. We'd visit again for sure.

Prezzo always provide good quality food and friendly service. Varied choice of courses and pleasant surroundings.
