This quirky café is located in a fairly idyllic South Downs village, surrounded by lovely old houses. We went for coffee and cake; we both had the enormous pistachio croissants. Coffee was very well made and service was very prompt. When we visited the staff were putting up Christmas decorations, so the seating area was full of people, and it was difficult to navigate around the tables. A small point, but the menus consisted of a wad of sheets of paper with options for coffee on the top sheet, and lunch on those below; it would have been nice to look through and think about whether we might return for lunch another time, but they were swiftly whisked away. A full menu on a large laminated sheet might be better. I had hoped to buy a few 'stocking fillers' from the items for sale on the shelves, but they were all so expensive as to be out of my price range. While there make sure to visit the fascinating 14th-century church of St Mary and St Gabriel just up the hill, which contains many extraordinary monuments and much stained glass.

Staying locally on the South Downs, we couldn't decide where to go on an unexpectedly cold & snowy day. Eventually we chose to stay close by and visit this fabulous quaint and quirky little Italian Café. It was on our list of 'must visit' while in the area, so what better time to go. We arrived around 2pm and was pleased to find that we could get a table. Warm, cosy and welcoming, a lovely young man gave us a choice of tables. All members of staff were friendly, helpful and super efficient. The menu has a lovely selection of Italian dishes to choose from. My husband chose the focaccia toastie with baby-leaf salad, parmesan shavings and balsamic dressing. It was stuffed with Prosciutto, mozzarella, pistachio pesto, and rocket. I chose the balsamic mushrooms and canallini beans with rocket, burrata and a slice of toasted sourdough 😋 both were absolutely delicious. The coffee and chai latte went down well too, especially our second cup which were accompanied by amaretto, pistachio and almond sweet treats. We would highly recommend visiting thus wonderful cafe should you find yourself in the area, we will definitely be returning on our next visit to West Sussex. Thank you La Follia

This is by far my favourite cafe in West Sussex!! The food is divine, the staff are always so friendly and the atmosphere is buzzing, yet sophisticated. Located in the quaint village of South Harting is a perfect place for a post dog walk lunch, a half way bike ride stop or a coffee and croissant catchup! For my mother’s birthday we hosted a private event in the evening for our friends with a set menu. It completely supersede our expectations and we had the most wonderful evening. I would 100% recommend!!

This little Italian cafe (and antique shop!) lived up to the praise of Tom Parker Bowles in May 24. Small menu but plenty to mix and match. The waiter and staff were ever so friendly and pleasant. I want to be back soon, and would love to try the monthly 4 course dinner

Great location in the heart of a beautiful west Suusex village. Simple menu, excellent Italian food, generous portions. Great coffee options including cortadas. Jolly and welcoming environment. The staff were polite, friendly and helpful. Only (minor) gripe: free wifi (with no password) should have been offered as phone reception poor.

A fabulous treat out of the house with our newborn son. Spiced coffee and masala chai with delicious cakes to share. Wonderful to see and hear everyone in the cafe enjoying their afternoons.

La Follia has just opened in South Harting, West Sussex and is an absolute gem. Serving Cicchetti - best described as Venetian Tapas - La Follia has excellent house wines and soft drinks. The Cicchetti are delicious and as filling as you want them to be. Their coffee is the best I have tasted other than my own! The staff are very friendly and the service is excellent. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming. They also sell a small range of the most delicious Italian goodies that you will want to take home. Trust me, you will want to linger! Adjacent to La Follia (and in the same building) is Lamb & Newt selling the most eclectic and tasteful re-loved antiques and home-ware creatively displayed and well priced. If you are anywhere near South Harting La Follia is a perfect place to stop and be refreshed. I can't recommend it enough

Great welcome from new owner, staff and lovely new menu and still a great standard as set by previous owners. I took my daughter for the first time and we both really enjoyed our food. Lovely soup followed by vegetarian meatballs and pasta...no dessert as too full. Will definitely return

Lovely location but the service was not very good. No spoons to eat pasta with, when asked the waiter just shrugged and said they didn’t have any. Ordered a dessert, which unfortunately the waitress dropped part of it in front of us, then said they didn’t have any more. On checking our bill we had been charged for the dropped dessert. Overall food was OK, but so we were surprised with the lack of service. Would not go here again.

We used to regularly visit here and order takeaways during Covid times. The pizzas used to be great. On Friday we returned with a group of friends. Service was warm but incorrect on two orders, which they swiftly rectified. However the pizzas have gone seriously downhill. Nasty cheap greasy cheese and flat bases, no resemblance to the authentic pizzas they once produced. We will not return.

Very quiet on this occasion but the service was outstanding and the food was delicious. Highly recommend Wildwood. The waitress Molly was absolutely fantastic.
