The best restaurants serving Italian food in England

Pizza was cold, not fresh and poorly made. I’ve had it many times before. It was terrible tonight.

I requested that the delivery driver didn't knock on the door as I'm staying with a host and it was late. They ignored my request and woke my host up. The food was very average.

Fantastic village pub with a great garden and added bonus of an outside bar that also does the best cocktails at a great price. Happy hour 3 till 7 Mon to Fri is a bonus when you finish work and fancy a beer. Great atmosphere and the staff are very happy and helpful. Leon's food is delicious 😋

It’s a great place Luton airport but my flight go cancelled happened quite a lot or it gets delayed a lot times.

An exceptional experience at the St James branch. Lunch here can be cheap if you pick their two or three course menu, but as it was a treat for us, we went off the main menu. I could have picked everything off the menu, it all sounded great, and we went for three main courses: cured trout with blood orange, and porchetta; mussel Linguine, and Rigatoni with a fennel ragu; skate wings, and pork chop, with greens and fried potatoes as sides. A rosemary posset between us was all we could manage for dessert. All were excellent, and it would be difficult to pick a favourite; seemingly simple dishes, but great flavours combined and cooked to perfection. Staff were so lovely, cheery, helpful and just lovely to chat to about the dishes and choices. For the pasta course (which you can have as a main size) they brought spare plates to make it easier to share. Overall a great treat, and we'll definitely return.

The food was wonderful BUT , the service is unbelievably slow we ending up leaving before we even got our desserts as they took so long Such a shame .we won’t return to this location

This was the worse italian meal I have ever had, would not recommend I was so ill through the night and the next day I missed the new year.

Really disappointing experience. The main issues we had were with the milkshakes and the bill! As other comments have mentioned, the milkshakes tastes like milk, that's it. I told a member of staff and asked them to keep the oreo shake. It was then remade, we assumed this was comped but it wasn't. Even though I asked them to take it back. After the shake was remade it still tasted like nothing but milk. Then came the issue with the bill, we were charged for an item that we were told was out of stock, and then charged extra for ice cream that was supposed to be apart of the dessert ordered! We raised these issues with the manager who seemed to struggle to comprehend the fact! This was such a disappointing experience in comparison so the positive experience we had quite some time ago. In addition to this, there were 2 birthdays at the restaurant and the service they were offered was awful. A song was played and sparkler was given ontop of a dessert. No smiles from staff, the desserts were plopped onto the tables with no eye contact and no semblance of care. I felt for the young child and lady who chose the restaurant as their birthday locations as it seemed they weren't given any care by staff. Really disappointing, you've absolutely lost repeat customers.

Visited with friends after visit to the Theatre. We all had starters ,which were very tasty ,especially the prawn starter . Some bread would have been nice with the prawn dish to mop up the sauce . Our mains were good on the whole, three of us had pasta dishes and one opted for the breaded chicken escalope but unfortunately this was a little dry . We all enjoyed our visit and the offer of 50% off our food was an amazing offer . Will definitely return when in the area again .
