Came here to celebrate my friends birthday at the start of august on a Friday night. Didn’t have a booking but we were quickly and easily sat down. We all ordered starters and mains. Our starters came quickly and I had the meatballs which were delicious and a good portion. Would order again. Then, for mains I ordered the pizza rustics with goats cheese and balsamic onions - delicious. However, the service time on the pizzas was slightly drawn out. I’m not certain how long exactly we were waiting for food but it was definitely a long time. The table next to us (also a table to 3) managed to be seated around the time we finished starters and got their food, and finished in the time that we were waiting. I am aware that they possibly forgot about our order, which is okay, mistakes happen. However, it would’ve been nice if this was explained to us. Instead we ended up being here for around 3 hours, mostly waiting for our pizzas. Anyway, food was good and would recommend the pizzas and meatballs, will have to come back to try cocktails!

Awful experience. Chefs took forever to give me the food to point where I just left. Staff today had 0 service and no smiles at all. Waste of time and money

Arrived before 7pm on a Saturday, plenty of space. After 8pm, there's a queue forming. Food was really good. Thanks for the front of house that helped us to find a socket for charge!

We had a lovely family meal here today. Served by Savannah who was really welcoming and friendly. She was very helpful while we made our choices. Both food and service were great. Baby friendly venue as well, our grandson really enjoyed himself. I'm sure he can't wait until he is old enough to sample pizza or pasta! One downside their coffee machine is broken and it would have been nice to finish off with a coffee.

Just visited Zizzi's in Cheltenham for a birthday lunch for my wife's birthday. The food was fabulous, well presented and piping hot. Our waitress was very pleasant, helpful and made the whole experience lovely. Thank you for making her birthday a treat.

The best Italian pizza, pasta and salads! The garlic bread is so good! Savannah was amazing and all of the staff are so pleasant and helpful! They make you feel so welcome and feels like they love what they do! Atmosphere is perfect. Great experience and a must to do!

Awful service. Got notified rider was at restaurant at 7.25pm but food didn't get delivered. App kept updating with a later and later delivery time been though the restaurant explained that the rider hadn't turned up (they did try to help me). There's no way of contacting anyone from just eat to get another rider. Eventually the food turned up just before 9pm but was not fresh or hot and by then it was too late to want to eat.The rider did not explain where he had been for over 1.5 hours even tho I asked 3 times. Please provide a full refund plus compensation

We went for lunch today and the food was really yummy, really nice interior and so much choice. Savannah was our waitress and she was so lovely, bubbly and attentive! We will definitely be back soon ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Me and my friend came Tuesday 11th June. They were really busy bless the team but they absolutely smashed it. Speedy service and really kind staff. Whoever the manager on shift was did a great job of leading the team. Food was banging!! Thank you!!!!

First time here after hearing a lot of good about it. Savannah was the best waitress we could ask for so incredibly useful, chatty and just made the atmosphere so much better. Would literally come back anytime and will definelty be back soon

A unique location, good food, friendly service.

This is a little outside of the main shopping area which may account for us being the only ones there on a Thursday lunch time. But it is so worth the effort. What a place! A converted church keeping many of the original features. Makes for a unique and atmospheric dining experience. Pizzas excellent (I had the lower calorie Chicken which was surprisingly ample as well as delicious). The service was also excellent (yes I know it was just us) but the waiter was extremely friendly and attentive. I’ll definitely be back and I would highly recommend. Also a lovely walk through beautiful streets from main shopping area.

Wow!! This place is just gorgeous! A stunning space. We visited on Tuesday evening. The young lady who served us was so beautiful - a welcoming, vibrant and energetic personality who was so willing to do all she could to make our experience wonderful. Then there was the food...my goodness. The best vegan pizza we have ever tasted - the rustics vegan harissa 'meatball'. The best vegan lasagne we've ever eaten - vegan rainbow lasagne. This food was next level delicious and clearly made with great care. Thank you for a wonderful experience, Zizzi!

Honestly can’t rate Zizis highly enough. We ordered 8 different things off the menu and there were none that disappointed us! The pizzas were cooked perfectly and the pasta was a decent sized portion. Our waitress was lovely and service was nice and fast. Such a lovely setting in the church and just a really nice restaurant overall. Would definitely recommend trying the garlic bombe- absolutely delicious!

Can’t tell you bad this was. The only saving grace was the lovely waitress!!! We arrived & waited at least 5 minutes for a very abrupt male (I assume the manager!!!!) to show us to the table. The waitress came & took our order, drinks came reasonably quickly & 2 salad starters arrived 20 mins later!! 40 mins later I asked how long our main courses would be & was told 5-6 mins they eventually arrived 15 minutes later. 55mins between finishing starter & them arriving!!!! To describe the food as below average Is an understatement. It was pretty awful. My pasta was certainly reheated by microwave or other means & was rubbery & chewy. Whilst we were waiting there was always a queue of deliveroo men or other, most had masks & hoodies on which could be intimidating for some. As it was a warm evening was a little confusing as to why wear this. Maybe they should be made to wait outside the building & customers inside the restaurant become a priority. Not a relaxing atmosphere to eat in with all staff charging around to keep up!!! Not even the wonderful building could take away from all the other shortfalls. Would not visit a Zizzi anywhere again!!!

Very tasty food and great value for money due to a half price offer, and excellent service, especially Vicky who was lovely 😊.

Visited Zizzi with my wife for dinner while we were in Cheltenham. The restaurant is in a very impressive old church and is an unusual venue. It is a large restaurant but when we visited (about 17.30 to 19.00 on a Saturday evening) it was quite busy. Not packed, but obviously a popular place for families and couples to visit. We arrived a little before the time we had booked, but that was no problem. The best thing about the venue, apart from the food that was as good as Zizzi meals always are, was the excellent service. Becky, who I think was the manager on duty, was great - very welcoming, efficient and friendly, as were the staff. I always think that restaurants with happy staff must be well managed. If there is such a connection this restaurant must be extremely well managed. Definitely well worth 5 stars!!!

I have spent 50 years on the restaurant business and tonight I think I had the worst service I have ever experienced it was woeful. No excuse whatsoever except bad sloppy and couldn’t care less management

We felt like having an easy and quick bite on a Sunday evening during a Bank Holiday weekend, but it was easier than we thought. A Zizzi has settled in this former church. What a location, really cool. The food is nice. We had a pizza with harissa chicken and a burrata tomato salad. All taste great and are quickly on the table.

Lydia was lovely and so helpful, food great and drink menu so wide ranging. Definitely be back

Haven’t been back for awhile and was pleased with the good quality of food and great atmosphere. Lovely building. Prices seem a bit high but it was a celebration night.

Food was great and the venue was beautiful. Our waitress Savannah was amazing and really made our trip! She knew the menu really well and helped us make our decisions without being pushy or it seeming like she was specifically up-selling certain products which was really nice to have.

I’m surprised to see negative reviews. Our food was delicious: Meat Sofia rustica pizza and Mushroom brindisi. The rustica was huge but we managed with two people, and the variety of meat had great flavors. Pizza crust could have been crispier for my taste but the harissa chicken, pepperoni, and sausage made up for it. Service was great and the place was empty for an early lunch. Would return if I’m in the area.

I absoloutely adore the venue! We enjoyed all of the food we ordered, and were able to pay with Tesco vouchers without issue.

Superb atmosphere & building, staff were very attentive friendly. The food was out of this world. The best Italian meal I have ever had, (Sept 2020). We have just visited again 9 months later, (June 2021) and the service was still outstanding as before. The food was awesome, we could not fault anything. For an authentic Italian experience it was bang on the money. Well we’re here again in April 2024 the 30th & our host Tom was very attentive polite and courteous. Superb service yet again and the food was amazing. Love coming here when we visit Cheltenham.

The food was so tasty, the lasagna in particular was so creamy! Such a peaceful and might I say beautiful environment to be in. Our waiter Lydia was so kind and polite. We come here a lot and always seem to be reminded that we make the right decision every time in doing so.

Me and my partner arrived late in the service for dinner and thought we would have to rush to get our order in and leave promptly. Not only did the staff make us feel incredibly welcome, they made excellent recommendations and insisted we take our time and enjoy our meal, regularly reiterating that there was no rush and that they were happy to have us. Tom and Savannah were both excellent servers and we will 100% be returning just for them.

We chose to come to Zizzi while visiting Cheltenham to celebrate our anniversary and it absolutely did not disappoint l! From the time we entered the restaurant, staff were warm, friendly and ensured we were served quickly but never felt rushed. Starters were delish (I had the mushroom brindisi & my partner had the prawn spiedini) and served hot. Our mains though, they were the star of the show! I took a gamble and went for the chicken calabrese and I am so glad I did - it was delicious, with a little kick of spice and so much flavour. The dish was comforting and filling and one I will definitely have again. My partner had the meatballs and said it was one of the best dishes he has had from Zizzi. Although Zizzi is a chain, the location to this particular restaurant gives it a different feel that sets it apart from other branches and it is this and the absolutely amazing staff at this restaurant that made it that little bit extra special. So thank you to all the staff who served us last night - you made an anniversary meal one of the best date nights we have had.

The service was very quick considering the large tables they also had in. All the food was delicious and there was a great range to choose from.

Good food at good value. Great venue. However the only fault is in the high heat there is no air con or fans!! I've been there about 7 or 8 times. It can be hit or miss. Sometimes it's great but sometimes it's very poor. I went at the end of October when there were Covid restrictions, and one family had a table of 6 people, and 4 of them were kids, they ran about the restaurant all time and made people feel uncomfortable due to the possibility of spreading the virus. They threw crayons around (2 ended up on our table), yet the staff done nothing. So glad when they left. The food can be good, but I am sure the calzone gets smaller everytime I go! Overall its decent and the venue is lovely. Update from April 2024, I went along with my girlfriend, 2 year old son and my girlfriend's mother. This was the 1st time we had been there with our son who is a bit of a handful. We went at 3pm on a Sunday as it was quieter. The service was great, the food was really good. I think it's a good family restaurant it's worth trying.

Great place on our doorstep, good food at reasonable prices. Very attentive staff where nothing seemed to be too much trouble. Food was really good - you can depend upon the calzones to deliver and it did. The venue is fantastic and has a good atmosphere.

I eat fairly regularly at Zizzi’s in Cheltenham. The food is always great, a little expensive, but nonetheless well worth it. My table server today was Tom, who was helpful and friendly in equal measure. He did himself and Zizzi’s proud, and I thank him for his service and happy demeanour. I’ll be back soon. In the meantime, keep up the good work!

Great food, good beer choices, if not a little pricey and first few visits were lovely. However one member of staff who served me and a friend more recently was very rude and patronising when we left. I presume that person goes by they/them from their appearance, use of language and overall vibe. Which is their decision of course, but they need to improve on their customer service and maybe 🤔 get some counselling and learn to smile 😊 more often.

Hands down best Zizzi in all the UK ! The venue is just magical and service is excellent! Food portion is OK, but I'd appreciate a bit more beef ragu in my pasta. It was 99% pasta and sauce and just 1% meat. The have a great deal on 3 course lunch for 25 pounds though so you can get this protein from starters such as incredible chicken or prawn skewers. I would definitely return when I'm in Cheltenham again.

Very good time, all 20 of us were served relatively quickly considering the size of our party and it was delicious and it was easy to pay for our own items at the end of the QR code, would recommend for a good mix of price and deliciousness
