Really disappointed with the food and service. Visited early on Sat 15th March. First server was great, attentive and said no problems when I asked if could have calzone without the chill (I have an intolerance) Food arrived and as I was eating the calzone realized that there were chilli's in it, this really spoilt the meal for me. We asked for some tap water during the meal and had to call the waitress over and ask for a second time. It wasn't busy at all. I mentioned to the waitress that my meal contained chilli's when I specifically asked for them to be taken out. Her attitudes to this was very lacking and she said she would mention this to the kitchen but from the attitude I didn't feel confident. No one really apologized to me for this error. Thankfully I didn't have a bad reaction to the chilli in my meal but this could have spoilt my evening at the theatre.

Extremely slow service. Disappointing as was a family treat. Didn’t order dessert as had already been there for 2 hours with very bored children after a long wait for food.

Came for a late valentines meal with my partner and we couldn’t find any faults whatsoever! Has to be one of the prettiest restaurants I’ve ever been to being an old church. The food was absolutely outstanding, the best pasta and sauce I’ve ever had. The baked cheesecake was delightful. All staff were brilliant, Tom was so enthusiastic and friendly, he really made our evening that much better, he seems born to do customer service. Friendly, funny and also professional! All in all it was a brilliant evening. 10 out of 10 across the board. We will 100% be coming back!

We had a lovely valentine's night meal at Zizzi's Cheltenham. Our server Maddie was so friendly! The atmosphere and service was absolutely amazing :). The food was beautifully presented and tasted wonderful - from starter all the way to desert. I highly recommend Zizzi's to anyone - where else in Cheltenham can you go and have lovely food, great friendly service and in a converted church!

Excellent birthday meal for my daughter. The service was top class! All the staff were really friendly without being over the top and went out of their way to make it special. Little stuff like making sure food came out quickly for the kids makes a big difference. The food was all really good quality. Not cheap overall a very good experience.

Lovely meal for dad's 90th birthday. The lady serving make it really special. Thanks. Only downside, it was a bit chilly in such a large old building on a cold day. Best take a jumper.

A big disappointment today Tue 21st. We arrived at the restaurant around 3 PM, but the staff completely ignored us, even though the restaurant was empty. This is the second time this restaurant has let us down.

Ordered our family meals via Uber Eats as have eaten many times in the restaurant and always enjoyed the food. Food turned up and was stone cold (lasagna, pizza, sweet potato fries). Kids very upset, adults frustrated, all hungry. Won’t be ordering again.

My husband and I celebrated our 9 year anniversary today at Zizzis at it was amazing. The atmosphere was lovely, the service was brilliant and the food was delicious. Our waiter, Tom, was so friendly and made sure we had everything needed/wanted. His reccomendations were spot on (the lemon drizzle martini was perfect) and he checked on us throughout our meal to ensure everything was OK. Rebecca, the manager, also makes the best cappuccinos! She must do it the proper Italian way, which is hugely appreciated! We will definitly be returning and Zizzi's will now be our regular spot, thank you!

Lovely quiet village area with a lovely village hall and a nice playground at the back.

It is a lovely setting, but it was very cold inside the restaurant. When I ordered a latte with whole milk, I was told that they don't have any whole milk. Then we were told that they had run out of cups, meanwhile there were only two tables occupied in the restaurant, our table being one of them. Two of my nieces said that their pasta dishes were bland and my sister said the same about her lasagne. When it's came to paying, my niece informed the waitress that she had vouchers and the waitress rolled her eyes. We had said at the beginning that we didn't want the optional service charge adding, but waitress added it anyway. The bill was so confusing that we didn't realise this had been added until afterwards. The waitress had shown some singular orders as a three course order and had lumped a number of orders that way, which made it difficult to work out individual bills. It was a birthday celebration lunch for two of my nieces, so we could have done without these hassles. We won't be going back, or recommending this restaurant. Very disappointing.

I’m a frequent visitor to Zizzi restaurants, this was my first time in Cheltenham zizzi and it was comfortably my worst experience at Zizzis. Firstly, though its novel being in an old church it was absolutely freezing inside, We had a booking at 7pm we ordered pretty quickly and got our drinks and starters quite promptly. However it took the staff over 30 minutes to remove our plates after we finished our starters. We then waited a further 20 mins for our main course, I enquired to a waitress as to why our mains were taking so long she simply replied that everybody was waiting and that the kitchen was backed up without offering a reason as to why this was the case. I should add the restaurant was only 25% full, we also 2 couples sit down and then leave after speaking to one of the waitresses without ordering anything not sure why that was the case. The staff seemed to care about the takeaway orders more than the restaurant orders. Was not impressed, staff are very unprofessional.

The staff were very welcoming and looked after us brilliantly. We were a party of 22 and our food and drinks arrived promptly. The service from the staff and Kate in particular was exceptional.

Our granddaughters like to eat at Zizzi's so we took them there for a treat. We had booked for 5pm and arrived a few minutes before. We were shown to our table and the restaurant was quiet with only 5 other tables occupied (about 10%). There was one lady serving and the supervisor who were busy clearing tables for the next 20 minutes. We were then asked what we would like to drink but we were informed they couldn't take food orders for another 10 to 15 minutes as they were waiting for a chef to arrive. The lady behind said that she had been waiting 40 minutes for her food. That's not easy with children I said. Anyway they did take our order after 20 minutes and a further 20 minutes our food arrived. The girls enjoyed their pizzas, my wife's chicken pasta dish was OK. My Ragu pasta dish from the special pasta section was not great, no visible meat, just sauce and not generous portions. It was very cold outside and the inside was cold as the heating couldn't cope with the large interior of what was once a church. My wife kept her coat on during the meal. The heating in the (tired) toilets was turned off. The staff that were there were really trying to cope. There is and has been a staffing issue which I think is the responsibility of the management. I did try to fill in a feedback sent to me by Zizzi but there is no way to explain the service issue. The feedback is predominantly about the food which except for the kids is marginal. I would think twice about coming back especially in the winter.

All fine, though the heating didn't seem to be very effective and we were a bit cold!

Poppy, our waitress was brilliant! Older daughter and I (actually, our whole family) have always very much enjoyed our trips to C'ham Zizzi's since it opened, many years ago. We have a vegan + vegetarian in our family, and always find we actually have a choice on the menue. The food is delicious, the service smiley and very good (especially Poppy) and the ambiance beautiful. Long may you stay open!

Lunchtime on a Monday. Hard to create atmosphere as only customers there, but great Xmas decorations and tunes!

We had a nice visit to Zizzi Cheltenham. It was very busy, all tables full. The waitress we had (Kate) was excellent. There were 11 of us, and apart from 1 or 2 minor things we had she dealt with us excellently. No one complained about the food or the wait times so a thumbs up.

Friendly efficient service from Steve. Good food, swiftly served, at a great price. We'll be back!

A group of 7 of us went to Zizis before heading to the cinema. The food was excellent and the service was very fast so we got to our film on time. We ordered quite a lot of food and several meals had changes. Ada, the lady who served us, was very attentive. The only thing I will say is that I found the room quite cold so I kept my coat on for the meal.

First time in Cheltenham and it's beautiful! Utterly gorgeous welcome from the fabulous Bekkah, total queen, love her to bits, totally fabulous addition to any team! Lovely service from Ruby, all spot on with attention and requests. Beautiful setting too, would recommend!

Food took well over an hour to come out and the beef ragu was pretty dry and had very little meat. The starter and desert were nice.

Ate here the other day. Was absolutely delightful food. I had the beef ragu and a beautiful honeycomb cheesecake. Could not say a negative word about the dishes. However, I did feel my experience was ruined by the atmosphere. The managers in the background (I think I can recall that one was called Steve) didn’t seem to be treating their staff very well. A lot of angry gestures and at one point I think one of the poor girls was crying. It was a beautiful place to eat and the food was great but was ruined a little bit by the poor management.

Nice pizza but on the expensive side. It was very cold inside and I noticed people sat down with their coats on. The toilets were very cold with little evident hot water and a cold hand dryer which made it worse. The service was slow to start but very pleasant once you got their attention. I went here when it first opened many years ago and it had a buzzing atmosphere with tables on the balconies too. Just seemed on a Friday night a little sad.

I had a wonderful time yesterday evening at Zizzi’s. My pizza was marvellous and my server Jacks delivery was magnificent which really enhanced my experience. I will 100% be back.

Not a bad experience here. Situated in a nice part of Cheltenham, not too difficult to get to from the centre. Food was ok, granted it was a set Christmas menu, the prawns were good however lacked flavour in the pasta. The tiramisu was still frozen when received. The starter was great, so credit where it's due.

I came to Zizzi this evening and thoroughly enjoyed my experience. The food was decent and well priced but what stood out was the service. A young lad called Jack was a fantastic waiter for me and my girlfriend and we will definitely come back thanks to him!

Monday night, family meal out. Food was average. Prawn/lobster pasta was excellent, though teenage son was disappointed by the carbonara. Pizza was good. No better or worse than any other pizza chain. The big cavernous church space should make it a exciting venue, but the atmosphere was very flat, and cold, on the Monday night.

Had an amazing meal in zizzis today with a few friends for a late birthday celebration. Our waitress, Morgan, was amazing nothing was to much she was very knowledgeable and attentive. She really made our experience stand out and always had a smile on her face. The food was amazing alway love the pollo piccanta 🤩

From the moment we sat down, Morgan was attentive, warm, and truly went above and beyond to ensure we had the best time. Not only did Morgan know the menu inside out, but they also had amazing recommendations for both food and drinks, perfectly tailored to our tastes. Every dish arrived at the perfect time, and Morgan’s genuine enthusiasm made us feel like we were dining with an old friend. It’s rare to find someone who cares this much about each guest’s experience, and it absolutely elevated our night. If you’re lucky enough to have Morgan as your server, you’re in for a real treat. Thank you, Morgan and Zizi Restaurant, for a wonderful evening. We’ll be back soon!

Great venue, good service but none of us liked the food. I’m a pizza addict but didn’t want to eat more than half mine. Won’t be returning.

I regularly come to this zizi’s but was extremely disappointed with the service i recieved. We were one of only 2 tables in the resturant yet we ordered our drinks and then watched the 2 members of front of house staff walk around (I understand that the other table was a larger table but they werent serving this table and were still not making out drinks) and clean tables while no one made our drinks. We watched the chef’s getting annoyed as they were putting our food on the pass and no one was coming to collect it. After a while one of the chef’s had to go into back of house to get someone to run the food as the manager was seemingly just sat in back of house. I understand things get stressful as I worked for ask italian as a manager for nearly a year and i know how the company works. After the food was brought over we asked for water (which we had asked for about 20 minutes prior) and the manager made a comment about “where am i supposed to put it” and i understand having a joke with your customers but it honestly just came across as rude in this instance. Like i said i come to zizi’s quite regularly and the food never disappoints but the service was nowhere near up to standard this time. Also the pasta crisps weren’t offered which i know are supposed to be

I’ve only been once and had pizza and some starters. It’s not the best food you’ve ever had but it’s a good 4/5. The interior is amazing, I will definitely come back to try something other than pizza.

Choose this as a treat for my 15 year old. Zizzis' Chelt was shocking. Left feeling hungry, ripped off, and totally uncared for. It's been along time since I've had such a bad dining experience. They seemed keener on geting the deliveroo orders out. Main meals were around £19 but portion size was like a starter and not that tasty. Writing this to save others from wasting their money and time. Booo!

We stumbled upon this church-turned-restaurant in Cheltenham, and we didn’t hesitate for a second before going in. The experience was awesome. If you’re in Cheltenham, I highly recommend stopping by for a pizza. You won’t need to pray for the food to be good because it’s Zizzi, and they never disappoint!”

Everything was great. Especially the place is amazing.

Came here with my family and was a car crash from the outset. Was greeted by a girl at the front who looked like she’d never smiled in her life. We told her that we didn’t have a booking and she looked at us like we’d shot her cat … she then said there was no space and we proceeded to look around at about 50 empty tables. After a bit of commotion, eventually the manager on duty, Steve came over to save the day and offer us a table. Happy we were to finally be seated, we ended up regretting as although the food was fine, the service received from the team, and in particular Steve, was awful. I’d never seen such unhelpful and unhappy people at a restaurant… it felt like we were more at a funeral! We used to attend here back in the day when there was beautiful piano music being played by a young man, the venue was busy and the service was amazing. 0/10 for Steve and his team as we would’ve had better service walking around a graveyard. Will not be returning. I also hear the staff turnover here is quite high and delivery drivers refuse to pick up orders from here due to the way they are treated. I wouldn’t be surprised!

This is an amazing restaurant. The service was absolutely amazing and so kind. The food was so delicious and there is a huge variety to choose from! Definitely worth visiting and definitely worth trying!
