Nice if you like microwave food

Service very slow, despite the restaurant appearing fairly empty. Staff however, were lovely. Only food criticism is of the Lasagne bites. Presumably off-cuts from the main course portion, they were just deep fried pasta, no cheese or sauce and therefore tasteless.

Delicious food delivered nice and hot in lovely recyclable packaging, happy delivery driver scampered here faster than Usain Bolt - Bellissimo

Great food, atmosphere and service

The food and wine was absolutely superb and our waitress, Kate, was exceptional. She was there when we needed her, but didn’t hover over us. A fabulous dining experience, it made our weekend!

No garlic bread as promised after spending the minimum amount. Pizza not sliced. Chicken was so less.

Unfortunately the processing of orders here does not, or is possible to not - work. While various tables put in their orders and were served, our order, after being one of the first tables to arrive, was forgotten. Only after reminding the staff, then waiting again an abnormally long tine, we're we finally served. I suspect it has more to do with the establishment being short staffed (one waitress and one bartender) than anything else. But one does have to wonder why/how a table sitting for an hour waiting to be served would not get the attention of said waitress and/or the bartender/manager? We got the summer 3 course option and we were there a total of 3 hours.

Went on Sunday evening at 18.30. Was quiet - as expected, service was absolutely wonderful, food was fresh, tasty and hot. Really enjoyed our evening. The staff make this place a very pleasant place to eat. Would heartily recommend.

Nice place for meal on a Saturday teatime. Good food and great service from the two waitresses Kate and Imogen. Friendly cheerful and attentive. Enjoyed the pizzas and the tiramisu is the best. Will be back.

We had not booked and were at this restaurant due to poor service at Presso where we had booked. They fitted us in. they were friendly helpful and the food was some of the best Italian i have eaten in a while. our server "Holly" was simply so friendly ( she got the biggest tip i have ever given) it was that good Highly recommend this restaurant and we will be back.

Lovely food and kind staff, I recommend the rosemary bread starter and fettuccine bolognese! They also do small desserts with coffee, which is very nice for when you’re full but still want a small treat! Beautiful restaurant and nice atmosphere, clean toilets with accessible toilets available, and great menu to choose from

Holly was so lovely, great service and very friendly :) food was amazing - we had the calzone carne piccante, and the mushroom risotto with chicken. So much flavour in the risotto!

The Burrata & Pancetta Carbonara was legitimately one of the best I’ve ever had. Fresh pasta. Pancetta perfectly cooked. Delicious.

The food was bland and we would have appreciated better quality food if perhaps smaller portions. The food is not good value for money and we felt we wouldn’t come again.

We visited Cheltenham Ask on 2nd May for lunch and was welcomed by a friendly server, food was lovely as usual, I had the trout, but what amazed us was that this young man was serving everyone on his own, he was organised and kept no-one waiting, well done, wish I had taken your name.

A group of us met here. We had vouchers for a free cocktail, they were all really nice. I chose the passion fruit martini which I really enjoyed. All the main courses were delicious. The service was very good, thank you to Kate who looked after us so well. See you again when we all meet in Cheltenham. Ask is a nice location in Montpellier with nearby parking.

Kate was serving us this evening for our date night and she was fabulous. Very friendly and attentive but not obstructive to us enjoying our meal as well as giving some great recommendations where requested. Food and drink was also great, very much recommend the Affogato for dessert!

Our waiter Charlotte was FAB! She treated us really well and grated cheese and really smoothly!

Visited Sunday 21/04/2024 at midday. Had garlic bread starter which I shared with my wife and we both agreed it was one of the nicest we’ve had. Tried the meatball piccante and my wife had the gnocchi for our mains. All good. Though initially my pasta seemed cold but it hadn’t been well mixed with the meatball sauce which was hot. Overall though we both enjoyed the mains. For dessert my wife had the caramel sundae which was really good. I tried the pistachio and raspberry tart, which was ok but dry without any cream or ice cream. So that was a little disappointing but overall, not a bad meal. Staff were excellent, prompt and polite service, attentive enough without being over bearing. Overall we felt it was a decent lunch and would definitely go back.

If waitresses could be cloned, Kate would be the chosen one! Best service I’ve ever experienced even when requesting for the vegan pizza to be made vegetarian! Thank you

I went to ASK italian with a booking, at 6pm, for context we are three young female adults. We were served instantly with great service. Once the main was served we had it on our table for over an hour. We had servers see us and walk away when we had been obviously done for 40 minutes as we had not touched our plates or cutlery. Yet, we the table wasn’t cleared. Once a member of staff realised, they gave us the dessert menu and left, they did not clear the table. Nor did they return to collect our dessert order. We had another member of staff (there has been 3 by this point) ask if we had even been served our dessert. There was no communication. Loved the food though.

Best staff , best food and best service

Good lasagne (piping hot) and reasonably good tiramisu. Service very good (although very few customers present). Only criticism would be failure to remove dirty dishes (more than once).

Estimated delivery time got to 2 hours after I ordered, so I went and collected it around an hour after ordering - ridiculous wait time, not the first time I’ve had the same problem with the same restaurant. Won’t be ordering again and I want my tip back from just eat 🤬

The food is delicious and just the right amount. In the mid-range, cost wise. The 2 reasons for the 3⭐ are the toilets have obviously been flooded at some point because there was a musty smell and they were sub-standard. And the other reason is even though 2 of our servers were very attentive and polite, the guy that gave us the bill came across arrogant and annoyed that we paid separately and that we refused to pay the service charge (£16) 😕 But despite that, I will go back again.

We were served by a waiter called Jack who was very presentable and efficient. He was very polite and made the whole experience very pleasant. The restaurant was clean and well kept and the food was well presented and good value for money. Would definitely recommend.

Received a snooty ‘welcome’ at the door in Cheltenham — so went elsewhere..

Really disappointing dining experience. Our starter came out on time but tasted of nothing. We then had to wait 60 mins for our mains to arrive and we only ordered a pizza and some gnocchi. The manager was very apologetic but it felt insincere. The fact that he saw us waiting for our meals and didn’t even think to come over and ask us if we’re ok. I ended up having to approach the staff for an update. I ended up getting them to pack it up for takeout as I was pressed for time. I’d also add they were only at 10 percent capacity so not sure why everything took so long. Won’t be eating here again and advise to avoid at all cost.

On arrival I asked if there was gluten free menu, and luckily there was. After being seated we were informed the flyer had been broken for a week and there were no fries, or courgettes fritti etc. In a week they couldn't they have got a replacement? Poor start. Another 20 mins still waiting for the gluten free menus, which was actually folder. on the normal menu they identified what could be done as gluten free, why did they not say anything. 10 mins later not a sign of a waitress so got up to leave. On way out was told they were busy!!! about 6 tables and 2 waitresses and a bar man. Ridiculous service. Went to Franco manca. Brilliant and great service.

If you like ASK then you have no taste. It is AWFUL and certainly far from authentic Italian.

I spontaneously made a reservation for a group of 11 individuals on Friday evening. I arrived at the restaurant earlier than the scheduled time and was warmly welcomed and attended to by Gez. The service I received was outstanding, described in the ASK language as truly AMICI. Moreover, the quality of the food exceeded my expectations. A very happy guest - We will be back

Quiet lunchtime, a fairly long wait for food in a relatively quiet restaurant. Once food arrived it was lovely and very well presented. Staff were friendly and attentive. What really lets this restaurant down is the toilets. They are located in the basement and smell really damp and look very dated and in need of a spruce up.

Food here is amazing and the place is absolutely stunning. Very inclusive for those with allergens. Our server Freya was so kind and helpful with letting us understand the menu options as well as her fast service. Would so go back again, and of course a huge thank you for Freya for making our experience so excellent!🤍

Fantastic tasty food. The pizza was a little on the cool side.

Dreadful service. Untrained youngsters as waiters/ waitresses chattering around providing no service at all. All other restaurants were booked out on 23 Dec whilst Ask remained empty - probably for this reason. Food remains good but it took 2 hours for us to get our starters and mains. Investing in experienced staff who ensure service is being delivered would make a big difference.

Spent a lovely evening at Ask Cheltenham. We were seated very quickly, our server Charlotte was very helpful. Food was good.

Scarlett looked after us very well. Grate atmosphere food (pizza, pasta, cheese cake) and drinks. However risotto was a bit bland and undercooked/ not creamy hence a taken off star.
