I was welcomed well by Dan, Bojana is always pleasant in regards to customer experience. Great service, great staff always smiling, great atmosphere and always making me feel comfortable to come back. Dan and Nico always offer a great service

Nice place to go. Staff were friendly. Service was slow, it was not busy when we went, so items on the order were incorrect or missing. The food was lovely, I had the Marco Polo pasta, very yummy.

We went on a Sunday around 5:15pm, the restaurant just started to get busy, we could see there are altogether only 3 members of staff, when the restaurant get busier and busier, they still keep on smiling and giving all they can. Especially the 2 male waiters that served us, they are very friendly, polite and very hard working!! Even though there's a bit of a wait for everything, but seeing how hard work the staff there, we have no complain but praise of their amazing services. We do would like to visit again but hopefully, they'll have more staff.

Very clean place ,Food was extremely nice the best go to place for italian food on dates . Lovely waiters ,nice atmosphere with good music playing very kid friendly they have colouring in pages and also kid menus that are very good for the price. Nothing bad to say about the place .

Was great. Wished we had made a booking before coming because it took sometime for us to get the food. But was worth the wait. Food was delicious. Will definitely come back. Will definitely recommend to others.

I ordered dough balls with garlic oil, vegetarian pizza and mojito. All was good in taste. The environment was also good. The menu had good options in that. The only problem was that the service was quite slow. They also have good two course and three course deals which is economical. Altogether it is a good place to visit. Bella italia is my go to place everytime.

Not great. Staff weren’t very pleasant and pushing us to leave as soon as we finished eating even though there were plenty of free tables and other tables still eating. It was uncomfortable.

Superb friendly service and great food

I had a large group in for my birthday celebrations and had a lovely time, the staff were amazing, Patricia in particular, and the food prepared by chef Nico was fabulous. We all had a lovely time and really enjoyed the delicious food and friendly atmosphere

Poor food for price paid.... Was barely hot.... Carbonara was very dry, tasteless, and cold on top, boiling underneath so after you tirned it once it was all cold..... There were 3 of us that went and did not enjoy the food whatsoever.... Staff lovely and polite but food standard terrible for amout paid..... Def won't be getting anymore of my money

Staff were in a bad mood - As someone who's worked years in hospitality i understand completely if there needs to be a wait or if staff need to take longer for service, however we were greeted straight away with attitude, and when we eventually got seated another cold remark about how they're pretty full up and if we even wanted to be served we needed to use the app which we struggled with as there was no where to order, meanwhile tables arriving after us were receiving table service and food, after asking for help we got laughed at and ignored multiple times and after around half an hour someone came to take a drinks order being very cold and pressuring making us order food and everything on the spot, making us feel guilty for wanting to be served, at 20 i wasn't allowed a cocktail unless everyone on the table had iD which not everyone had on them unfortunately, food was cold too but leniency can be made as they said they were busy. Hopefully just an off night for staff just felt a bit downhearted as had looked forward to an evening our all week!

Great service! We were served by Patricia, who way very helpful and polite.

We had Bojama(?) as our waitress. She was extremely attentive, friendly and made our experience absolutely wonderful. We felt very well looked after and couldn't help but sing her praises. She really outdid herself!

Food was brought out cold and had mouldy fruit in my drink. Very unwelcoming. Will not be going here again.

Took the kids here and everything was great, just what we expected. They kindly gave us colouring stuff which kept the kids busy whilst our food was being prepared. Service was quick. A restaurant ideal for the whole family.

Richander was one of the best waitresses we’ve ever come across and I think she needs a pay rise but at the very least recognition for her hard work and effort.

Really nice atmosphere and a friendly service. Good prices and very tasty new dishes. I recommend it!

Absolutely amazing. Excellent food and service. All member of staff smiled even if they weren't our assigned server. The overall atmosphere of the restaurant is very warm and cosy. I highly recommend this place if you want a good day out with amazing food.

I had high hopes for a delicious Italian meal from this place, but unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfying. We decided to order delivery, eagerly anticipating the flavors of authentic Italian cuisine in the comfort of our home. However, what arrived was a complete letdown. The pasta lacked any semblance of sauce, leaving it dry and tasteless. There was a glaring absence of salt or seasoning, making each bite bland and uninspiring. To add insult to injury, the supposed buffalo cheese on top turned out to be more akin to flavorless mozzarella that resembled hardened plastic. As someone who appreciates the artistry of Italian cuisine, I was profoundly disappointed by the subpar quality of the food from this restaurant. It's disheartening when a restaurant fails to deliver on its promises, especially when it comes to something as beloved as Italian food. I sincerely hope they take customer feedback seriously and strive to improve the quality of their dishes in the future.

The restaurant was empty, but the bar staff said the restaurant was busy. We ate in another restaurant and passed by. The restaurant was empty, only a few people were sitting.

Fantastic kids birthday party,delicious pasta , can't love enough strawberry lemonade mocktails. Lovely waitress Charlie was so friendly and helpful.

Went with family. Food was great - I had the meatballs and spaghetti and a cheesecake desert - and it was a great atmosphere which allowed us to have a proper catch up. Good value for money and the service was very good, with the waiter seeing to us in a professional and friendly manner.

My family and I go here a lot and the food has always been good with excellent service.

We have been at Bella Italia at the end of February and ordered a starter and a pizza, and kids menu. We opted for them instead of Pizza Hut because we wanted some signature dishes. All I can say is that their signature is not executed as planned. The atmosphere was alright, tables sticky, but clean. The alcohol served in £2 glasses from ASDA, the drinks are dissolved with water, we ordered aperol. The kids menu starter and pizza were bad, dry and tasteless, good chips. Our starter was bad, tasteless and uncooked. The pizza looked like some child prepared it, as it was Uncooked, we could barely eat half of it and gave up. I believe the place can be better, but will not come again and will not recommend it.

We really enjoyed eating out at Bella Italia Basildon. The waiter serving us was really friendly and we got our food really quick. We both really enjoyed the food as well. Would definitely recommend!

Never been to a bella italia before but it was a pleasant visit. We went for the £5 pasta deal which was incredible and saved us a lot of money. Our server was wonderful however due to being understaffed service was relatively slow. I tried the gamberoni pasta, was absolutely delicious!! And the tiramisu too is great.

First visit to this chain of Italian eateiries and mixed feelings. Positive points: fast and efficient service when needing a quick bite before moving on elsewhere. Very friendly and efficient staff. Lovely Via Roma draught beer.Quite busy late Saturday evening when visited and very impressed with speed of service. Not so positive: main course I ordered - smoky carbonara pizza was quite bland....was expecting something more tasty tbh... didn't order any other food due to time constraints but prepared to give it another visit to evaluate once more.

Went before seeing a film and service was friendly enough if a bit by the script (asked three times if we had allergies). Food however was very disappointing especially at the price.

Food was alright, came out fairly quickly but the waiter who served us was brilliant. Polite, friendly, quick with drinks and overall a lovely man.

It never turned up. Can’t call anyone as it’s a front for Bella Italia so call them and no one knows what’s going on.

Our first visit was staying for the weekend with family. Quite busy when arrived, big groups, families and couples. Lucky to get a table. The staff was attentive and very polite. Ordered food, Marco Polo & Pizza and tea for 2. I was surprised that food came within 20 minutes, seeing the amount of tables. Good was on point, fresh, flavourful and ££ price too. I definitely recommend it to friends ***** stars!

Food / some of the courses were poor to average. Even when dining in a Italian chain restaurant I do not expect to be served ‘smooth’ shell, frozen meatballs only half smothered in what is an decent sauce to disguise them, we’re they even real meat? I do not recall these being as bad in other Bella Italia restaurants. Feels like this restaurant or the business of late are sourcing ingredients from lesser suppliers in a bid to increase profits. Why did they drop their wonderful crab ball starter off the menu? Olives served without any cocktail sticks when raised we were told that the entire restaurant, it has what is supposed to be a functioning bar, does not have any in. My Light ‘N’ Stormy cocktail was fine but had two wedges of browned limes in, seriously- how long does it take for citrus to spoil like that then - if they are then don’t put them in someone’s cocktail. The tiramisu martini we sent back and we’re told that they didn’t have the correct ingredients, clearly tried to make it up with watery ingredients. Hardly surprising going by the three tiramisu’s that we were served for our final courses they had no idea what one was supposed to be like (see earlier review by another customer, they weren’t wrong!) - the worse tiramisu we’ve had since being served a plate of chocolate-dusted shaving foam in a Miller & Carter (Lakeside, before it sank). Main courses were fine, the chicken Milanese very tasty as always. Porchetta pasta Christmas special was OK. The Basildon Bella Italia served up the polar opposite, just as terrible, sent two of them back and requested one be taken off the bill. Dry and barely any mascarpone to be seen. Really unfair on the staff as they were fine but unable to offer the best service.

We had a table booked for 4 of us to celebrate our son's 3rd birthday. Service was attentive, polite, not in your face :) throughout our lunch. The food was nice for all - adults and children. Would've been nice if there were more customers in the restaurant for a bit of atmosphere but saying that we had a great time (considering we were with kids ages 3 and 4:))!

This was the worst meal I've ever had in a bella Italia the waitress noticed I'd left it and there was no charge...left hungry 😒
