My partner and I came here for my birthday and had a lovely meal. The quality of the food was high, the service was good and the restaurant was clean throughout.

Had a really nice meal and Izzy took amazing care of us. She had an impossible table of unruly children to deal with, and she handled it with grace and professionalism.

Izzy did a great job. She was hard working and lovely to us when other diners were behaving badly. Management took care of us.

Definitely recommend great service and food

I went to Wildwood Billericay for lunch yesterday with my family (7 of us in total). Firstly I would like mention that the staff were very nice, they were obviously rushed as it was a weekend, but remained polite and food arrived quickly so no problems there. My issue with the experience is simply the fact that the quality of food is so average/disappointing. I'm not expecting fine dining but the quality is identical to a Weatherspoon's but you pay nearly 3 times the price. I had a buttermilk chicken burger with sweet potato fries - it was as basic as McDonalds chicken burger, and the potato fries were burnt - it cost over £16. My dad's spaghetti bolognas was a tiny bowl of spaghetti - with very little meat and the sauce was oily and watery. My brother's calzone was a decent portion size (very large), however the taste was (again) bland and uninspiring. I just feel the menu is great - lots of great options to choose from, and to be fair the price isn't too different from places like 'Bills', 'ASK or 'Prezzo' however the execution is shocking. It's like they don't have chefs but instead someone in the kitchen is just heating up average ready meals. Other similar restaurants with similar prices serve the same kind of dishes but are so much tastier to eat. I feel bad writing negative reviews, but some other reviews have included comments on the average/bland food, so I feel I am not the only one. I will go again, as its local and have friends/family who like it, but I do hope the food improves.

Poppy provided us with exceptional service today. Consistently checking on our orders, being very attentive, & overall providing very polite and swift service. The food was great as well. No complaints.

Wildwood is our go-to local, the menu updates regularly and the restaurant is comfortable and well kept, but what sets it apart from the rest is the service...always fun, efficient and courteous, they work seamlessly as a team , literally nothing is too much trouble .... Thank you Laura and the gang for another lovely evening.

Another great evening with friends at this location. Server was very on the ball when looking after us, including a coeliac and dairy allergy. Their gluten free pizza is the best of any high street chain. Will be back!

Me and my partner both thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Wildwood and highly recommend it! The waiter was an absolute diamond, (unfortunately I have no name) but it made the experience all the better. Garlic bread with caramelised onions to start, I had the vegan burger with chips and dessert was absolutely spot on too!! Great prices, great atmosphere.

Really nice Italian restaurant. The artisan sourdough pizzas are enormous. Had to leave half but they provided me with a take out box. A relaxing lunch and the cocktails are marvelous. The best long island ice tea I've had for years!

I wouldn't recommend it,they have just tried to charge is for a bottle of wine and beer we didn't have, definitely won't be going back ever

Great food, well presented and priced. Was asked about drinks prior to being given a menu/list, however which was odd, and when I asked to see the menu first the server left for 10 minutes.

Great food with a calm atmosphere. The food was good quality and was put together very nicely. Prices aren't too bad given the variety and taste. Clean inside and good facilities. Service was good, nothing overwhelming or overbearing. The whole experience was nice but lacked something special or particularly memorable, maybe stepping out into something new on the menu could fix this. Id recommend this for a lunch or relaxed evening dinner.

It was a very rainy afternoon, and we popped in here for cover. What a good move. The food was well presented and very tasty. I had the Roma Chicken, and it was cooked with a bacon topping and fresh vegetables. Smothered with plenty of olive oil.

Food was very nice, service was great - only negative is they just want to cram all tables in by the window, so everyone is on top of eachother, your trying to eat your food as people are stacking up waiting next to you having conversations - when there's plenty of other tables available - but otherwise great

This was our first time visiting a Wildwood restaurant. It looked very nice on arrival, decorated lovely, and tables spaced well apart. When we were shown to our table, we were asked what we would like to drink before we even sat down!! We asked the waiter if he could come back in a minute once we had sat down and looked. After ordering our food, it promptly arrived. Both our meals arrived hot and presented nicely. Though upon tasting, this is where we were disappointed. I ordered penne arrabbiata, my partner ordered carbonara and garlic bread to share. Both dishes were extremely bland, with very little to no taste. The garlic bread was very thin and crispy (literally like eating crisps) with no garlic taste whatsoever. We did not finish our meals, in fact my partner didn't even eat half. We were not asked once by any member of staff how our food was - they didn't seem to care. I ordered dessert as I was still feeling hungry and also hoping I'd have one decent meal. My choice was the cookies and cream cheesecake, and thankfully, this tasted lovely. I really enjoyed my dessert. We would never return to a Wildwood restaurant. The food lacked taste, the staff did not seem really interested, and overall, it was a disappointing time here.

Me & my closest friends go to place. Everything is just so lovely. Staff are brilliant. It's always reserved under Jack but I wanted to appreciate my people. Thank you for the service.

We came here for my mums birthday dinner and I thoroughly enjoyed it. They catered really well to my young daughter, she sometimes gets fed up in restaurants but she loved it here. An impromptu visit to Wildwood and so glad we did. From the moment we walked in to the restaurant it felt really lovely. Greeted by a very friendly member of staff. Great menu choice and the food was served promptly but without feeling rushed. Our waitress Niamh was so lovely and was extremely attentive. Great atmosphere and we’ll definitely make a return visit very soon.

This is a nice relatively casual restaurant with nice Italian food. There is a diverse and plentiful menu of drinks, pasta, pizza and other mains. The food is very good quality and the staff are kind. It’s a decent price for meals out.

Recently, I almost never write restaurant reviews, but the most awesome waitress assisted for my Dad’s 80th birthday party at Wildwoods in Billericay, and she fully deserves to be recognized publicly. Niamh was her name and she was phenomenal. She catered to the seven children in the group – and all the adults effortlessly. She was efficient, intelligent, graceful, caring, and knowledgeable about the food. And she had this friendly demeanour about her that made us all happy and reassured that we were in great hands. By the end of our four hour meal, we were singing her praises and saying, "She's the best waitress we've ever had in Essex – and maybe even London!". By the way, the food is pretty good, the décor is very cool. The management ordered me in some non-alcoholic cava which went down a treat as many of the adults were driving or on medication (it being and 80th bday celebration and all!). I had originally popped in for a recce when considering other restaurants in the Billericay area. The deal was cemented when I was advised that we would likely have the entire upstairs area for ourselves and that they would order in non-alcoholic fizz - specifically Freixenet 0% which is much drier and less sweet than other versions. So thank you Wildwood for helping us to celebrate and thank you Niamh for the wonderful service! If I had the opportunity to give more stars, I would!

Went to Wildwood Billericay for my birthday this evening. Service, food, cost and waitress (Lili) were all amazing. Will definitely return.

Well, it's overpriced to say the least... when did going out for a quick bite with 2 ( with 3 glasses of wine admitted) come to £85... cost of living??? It's just not worth the cash.. Fishcakes - real average Bruschetta (if that's what it was).. flat bread with bit of a jar of sundried pesto. Carbonara - dry and bit rubbish Arancini balls .. ok (best bit) Rocket 'salad'.. 50p of rocket and 4 shavings of parmesan... £4.95!!! We had 2 😆! Not a 'bad' place, but I won't be going back... ever... unless I get a 2-4-1

Food and service poor beyond belief. Under cooked prawns are dangerous, cold burger is horrible staff too busy chatting to serve the nearly empty restaurant. AVOID

So we experienced your dinning on the 24/3/23, for dinner of a group of 15 of us... the food was lovely and the staff was lovely and patient especially having to deal with our group haha. The restaurant itself was lovely and well decorated, very welcoming from the manager. The food was a good portion size and very tasty. The garlic prawn starter was very flavoursome. But I would especially like to thank your staff member Grace having to deal with our party and the kids esepcially :) very well mannered and patient, a total credit to the buisness

Sat waiting to be asked if I want to order a drink or some food for over 30 minutes. When asked if I could order I was ‘greeted’ by a moody waitress. Food sat on the side for 5 minutes whilst takeaway order’s packed, food arrived luke warm. Definitely not worth visiting.

Won’t be booking at this branch again. I had booked for six at midday today to celebrate my birthday with friends. On arrival the place was shut. We banged the door, rang the bell and I phoned till 12.10 ish - no answer. How long do you wait (six ladies of a certain age in the cold in January!!), so we went elsewhere. I rang them when I got home and of course they were full of apologies and excuses, but all it needed was a note on the door. The person said they were alone, but where were the chef and kitchen staff?? There are plenty of places to eat in Billericay so I won’t be bothering to book here again.

For a "chain" restaurant... This place surprises, in providing consistently good food, with friendly and often jovial/cheeky service in the most positive way... Recommended.

I walked into this pretty restaurant and was warmly greeted by a man whom addressed himself as the manager. He was kind, polite and welcoming plus asked about my daughters nut allergy and saw to our allergen request with his upmost ergancy. The food itself was decent I had a chicken burger which was really nice and my daughter had a goats cheese penne. When leaving the restaurant the manager kindly wished us well and was a highlight of the experience, as I really value the small things. Overall it was a pleasant experience and worth the money

Went on a Saturday. Reasonably busy downstairs, noone upstairs which would have been full pre pandemic. Waitress not really interested, but then not just ger. The whole group including manageress were just hanging round bar chatting. Even when orders came out of the kitchen they carried on chatting before taking luke warm food to customers. Food was ok but not really worth the money. Wont be going back.

A really lovely restaurant in the middle of Billericay High Street. We'd booked a table for 8pm, but at that time there wasn't much need to. The food was delicious, and the service was spot on. There was some confusion over which "Philly Cheese steak" we'd ordered (we went for the pizza rather than sandwich), and they more than happy to send the erroneous sandwich back and return about 10 mins later with our huge pizzas!! Price-wise, it's very good value. We both had 3 courses and a drink, and it worked out at £37 each. Not too shabby. Atmosphere was a bit lulled, but it was 8pm, and to be honest, it would've probably been noisy had we visited at a more peak time. All-in-all, we had a really nice time, and will definitely be going back again.

Absolutely fantastic. If I had to be a little bit critical, I would suggest that they got some bottles of real ale. Service was wonderful and the food was amazing. Everybody at our table thought so too. Great Pizza and great salad.

Really good meal on a Saturday night. Surprisingly quiet. Only knocked a star off as our friend found a 50p in her salad and had to get a new one.

Right from the start , it was clear that the staff didn’t want us there. Online booking allowed us to book a 8.45 slot. However we were told when we arrived that they shut at 9 for food orders. The waitress was very dismissive and made it very obvious we were not wanted there. Perhaps management needs to alter the online bookings to end at 8.15? It actually says the restaurant closes at 9.30pm online. Food ok but not worth the £49 we were charged.

Pizza as good as any I've had anywhere (including Italy!). Only complaint is no draught beer, so I was forced to drink wine (not a lot force though) :)

Went here today for a family meal early doors. I found the food, for a chain restaurant, to be a cut above. I had a calzone and the mrs goats cheese pizza...the calzone was super with a smokeyness and the pizza was strong goats cheese, which i like. The kids mopped up their pasta and pizza 👍 If it was wildwood or pizza express, id go wildwood 🤘 Ths staff were great many thanks

Garlic bread has no garlic, fries have been fried numerous times, cheese on pizzas not melted. Can tell why it was so quiet at 8:30 on a Friday night

Friendly staff and the food was good, only downside was that I was told they didn't have a beer glass to match my beer, and if I'm happy to wait for one, and was left with the bottle, asked for a normal glass!!

Date of visit 18th March 2022. Table was booked for 7.30 arrived abit early, I had meatballs and spaghetti and husband had the spag bol, both meals were really nice, very reasonably priced. Would defo go again and would recommend to others. Waitresses and bar staff were friendly and on the ball. Restaurant very clean and modern, menu had a good variety to pick from

Visiting form Ireland had a beautiful meal very good staff and a lovely atmosphere. Well worth a visit.

Just ordered calamari & a calabresi pizza as a last minute light dinner for 2. We’ve eaten at wildwood before but a few years ago. The calamari was good with a mild sauce although only delivered in a bag. (A small pot would have been better) the pizza was lovely (Pork sausage, Milano salami, prosciutto & peppers) really crispy base and addition of rocket was gorgeous. Ordered it on Deliveroo which was easy & the driver was respectful and kept his distance.

Had a table for 10 for my mum and dad's golden wedding anniversary. Nice table in our own secluded area, good service, nice food. They looked after us great. Would recommend. Large car park opposite.

Visited yesterday evening having booked a table for 20:00 for myself and 4 friends. On arrival the restaurant was busy with a nice atmosphere and the table we were given was in a quiet area and was comfortable. Our drinks arrived promptly, but the waitress was quite put out that we were not ready to order immediately and that we asked her to give us 5 minutes to read the menu. The food turned up very quickly but was lovely and we all enjoyed it. The alarm bells should have rung when our waitress who was not overly friendly said that the ovens had been turned off so we could not have a hot dessert option. The desserts arrived which were delicious but then when we asked for coffees we were told quite abruptly that the restaurant closed at 21:00 so we couldn’t have any further drinks. We really feel that when booking we should have told we could have only had the table for an hour. This, together with the less than friendly waitress (another member of staff was lovely) means we will not go back again.
