Pizza Express in Basildon

Pizza express is the only one for me. I don't do other pizza's. The staff are so friendly and uber helpful. Always great!

Went for a family meal. Pizza and dessert were on point. Recommend the Funghi pizza and the Honeycomb slice dessert. (Only thing that was so-so was the Bruschetta starter. Using mini pizza and pesto just didn't go. Not a good Bruschetta!). Our waitress was attentive and accommodating. RECOMMEND.

Can't go wrong with Pizza Express. We've always had friendly waiting and quickish service.

We went to pizza express on Monday I use a mobility scooter when we arrived was a bit worried about leaving it out side but before we had a chance to decide a member of staff opened the door for us to come in with the scooter all the staff were lovely and helpful and the food was excellent we had a lovely time thanks

Usual high standard, great for reliable family meal. They also are very careful about dietary restrictions.

The review is for delivered food: absolutely ridiculous presentation, very scarse in ingredients and tasted old and stale, although delivery took only 30 minutes the pizza was cold. Never ever ordering again, worse pizza i ever had

Really lovely atmosphere food was great staff so attentive & helpful A++++ My husband is very fussy with his Pizza and they never disappoint to cater to his needs. All in all a super restaurant that we will return to regularly x

A family birthday meal out with 2 six-year olds and a 1 year old! Could've been tricky, but the staff were absolutely fabulous from start to finish. Nothing was too much problem. Food was as you'd expect (we do like their thin crust pizza). They even plated up the birthday cake and lit the candles for us ..they even sang to us! The staff totally made our experience a good one. Thank you.

Not much choice for gluten free, chillies on most pizzas, not everyone wants hot spicy food, generally not worth the money

We enjoyed a lovely birthday meal out with my partner and son. Julie our server, was fantastic and really made our dining experience all the better. The restaurant is spacious and relaxing. The food was delicious and well presented. Julie made sure our dessert was adjusted according to our taste. Would definitely recommend

Tasty and hot pizzas and good drinks and service, toppings on pizzas are a bit stingy and the price is quite high for romane ones especially Updated Dec 2023 Got a table at 1045 and was served by Julie who delivered us two lovely pizzas, olives and wine. Great service, late at night and for £46 plus tip was a tasty late night meal

Got delivery via Uber eats.. unfortunately the driver was over an hour late. So the food was freezing cold. However this was no fault to the restaurant. I heated the food and it was really nice. I plan to come here for my 20th birthday next year

Me and my partner had a delicious meal for lunch today. Our waiter Amy was extremely friendly and welcoming.

Been here for a second time with my bf and the restaurant is still great to go on a Saturday evening. I had the goats cheese pizza and my bf had the margarita and the pizzas were delicious. We also had deserts and they were nice aswell. The servers were great as well excellent customer service. If you any of guys love pizza this is one restaurant I recommend. 🍕

A great pizza express experience! We booked in advance for a group of 30 and they were able to accommodate. Not only that but they were really prepped to manage our orders. The food all came pretty much together and payment at the end was easy. Food was on point as usual! Thank you for making easy for us.

The waiter that served us was welcoming on arrival and attentive throughout. We couldn’t have asked for a better service and the food was great. Our order was correct and every dish was enjoyable. Best meal out we’ve had in a long time.

Lovely clean aesthetically pleasing restaurant, friendly polite staff and food is very good. Pizzas do not take long to arrive, very expensive for what you are getting and soft drink prices are way too high.

Last minute visit to Pizza Hut at Basildon festival Park last night. We got there not too long before they shut the kitchen but Carla our waitress was more than welcome and advised we didn't need to rush. She was polite, welcoming and very helpful providing us with info on the deals. I'd come back just to be served by Carla again (give that girl a raise) ;) - only reason it got 3 stars was due to portion size of the pizza. 5 Star for service!!

Its a shame food is lovely but when it comes to delivery its terrible if you have an allergy or need to make an amendment you have to contact the restaurant however i have rang 19 times and they never answer or pay attention to order notes and this is the only way to complain

I visited today, food was incredible. However, We had two servers that made us feel very awkward. We were both very polite said please said thank you for everything. Maybe they were new or little shy? The interaction was awkward and made as feel uncomfortable when they approached us as if we had done something wrong? but they were overall attentive and asked if we required new drinks. Overall a good experience.

Came in for a treat lunch for our Anniversary. The restaurant was pretty empty as it was a Wednesday lunchtime. The food was absolutely delicious! Really fresh and full of flavour. Amy, our waitress, was very helpful and attentive. She even adjusted my dessert slightly to my request, which I was very grateful for. Would definitely dine here again in the future.

Our daughter had her birthday party at Pizza Express Festival Leisure at the weekend. Kids Pizza Making Party. Our party host i believe was the manager (unfortunately i didn't catch her name) was absolutely amazing. Kept us updated throughout the party about what was happening next. Was amazing with the children, explaining everything to them. They had so much fun creating their own pizzas and eating them! Would highly recommend this restaurant for a childrens party.

We had a great dinner there for my brother in laws birthday, there was a large group of us, food was great, and considering how many were in the group (20+ adults and kids)we didn't have to wait long for our food, as always the staff were amazing and couldn't do enough for us! Our waitress was Julie and she was great with the Kids and even the awkward adults. Will definitely returning

Most disgusting services, food was undercook staff didn’t come up check up starting using cleaning products around us so all we could smell was cleaning products when we was eating, ceiling was falling off manager and waitress had attitude and was very rude

Basildon Festival Leisure Park - We have been here many a time for dinner with our little girl and it’s always been good, but tonight stood out for us. Julie was our waitress this evening and she was exceptional she made our evening, especially our daughter’s (3yo). Julie was friendly and helpful. She even let our daughter go and select her own drink from the fridge as she’s going through the independent stage and it made her night. She was friendly and courteous and even though it was a busy evening we never felt awkward asking her for drinks, she was always on hand to help. Julie is an asset to you and we will definitely be returning to this branch hoping to be served by her again Thank you Julie!!!

Sam the manager was great. On one of my previous visits my there was a problem with my order. I reported to Sam and he said he would do something to make up for it on my next visit. I honestly wasn’t expecting him to remember but he did. Great service by Sam and his team.
