Good Italian food. Varied menu served by friendly staff

The food and atmosphere are fantastic. Was a little disappointed as a side dish of chips I had ordered. Only turned up when I had finished the main meal. This is after reminding them as soon as the meals where brought to the table

My wife and I along with a friend spent New Years eve here, after a wonderful meal my wife had a fainting episode the staff responded instantly and couldn,t have been more concerned and helpful. A lady { who was a nurse} along with her daughter who I believe is called Lorna dealt with the situation and were absolutely amazing. Many thanks to all who helped, my wife is fine again now thanks to all concerned. Garry Howarth. .

We have visited Luciano's a few times in the past, and chose it this time for my wife's birthday. The menu items we chose varied from good to average. Wine was good but at a premium price. What spoiled the evening for us however was the attitude of one of the female members of staff: We booked for 6pm and arrived on time. just over an hour later we were just finishing dessert, with some wine still in our glasses, when the lady in question came over to us and told us in a very direct manner that she needed the table and we must go to the bar to finish our drinks. I can understand that had we been a casual drop-in without a booking, they might squeeze us in on a tight timetable, but at what is supposed to be a decent restaurant where we had a properly made booking I would not expect them to be attempting to rush us out in what was a very rude manner. We objected and were allowed to finish our drinks at the table, but felt unable to be relaxed at all from that point onward, and we left sooner than we would normally expect to do, feeling that we were not wanted. On the way out nobody, not even at the reception desk, spoke to us at all. Won't be going back.

A family New Years Day lunch at Luciano’s Millstone situated in Adlington was fantastic, great surroundings, superb attentive staff and excellent food. A lunch menu and a full Al a Carte menu was available offering a wide selection of their finest dishes. All the food was cooked to perfection which is a credit to their Chefs. We will certainly be making a return visit. Thank you for making a special day so enjoyable.

We were at Luciano's at the Millstone on Christmas Day, visiting with family including our 2 year old Grandson. The restaurant was so well presented for Christmas with a very warm and friendly atmosphere and the staff were very welcoming. We had a leisurely drink before being shown to our table by a very friendly and personable young lady called Jessica. The meal was absolutely brilliant and the staff could not have been more attentative throughout the meal. The meal itself was absolutely first class and the meal for our Grandson was fantastic. There was no rush between courses and the staff were always on hand during the meal even though the restaurant was so busy. Once again a special mention to Jessica, also to a young man named Charlie who served us very professionally throughout our meal. Also a mention to Domingue who was serving us our drinks. Thank you all for a great Christmas Day meal.

Here with family on Christmas Day. Fantastic food and the staff were absolutely brilliant with our 2 year old boy. Special mention to Jessica and Charlie who served us, they were very professional and friendly all evening and the cheesecake was exceptional.

Booked for 24 people here and the service was incredible. The food came out at the same time and was 10/10. Every single plate was empty. Thank you to Megan for looking after the group! Massive help. Can’t wait to return

We had our Christmas dinner at luicianas at the millstone.Everything was fine until we came to pay the bill.The first bill was totally wrong so we sent the bill back only to receive another bill worse than the first one and so that went back.Then we got another bill for over a thousand pound .That was worse than ever.So we waited and waited by this time nearly everyone had left and so we went to the till.Were we were greeted with a waiter and we think the .manager.After another bill wrong we finally got the food bill right the manager then said we will waiver your drinks which wasn't much so we paid the bill .Only to be told by the waiter your drinks are so much you need to pay we said the manager who was stood there told us he'd waiver drinks because of upset.then the manager said no pay for drinks.So we had to pay.We were late getting to our relatives out because of all upset.Really sorry about this because in the past we have loved this restaurant

Lovely ambience and attentive service. Chicken liver pate served with a piece of toast too small for the dish. The other slice of toast was okay. Other diners with the same starter were scratching round for bread to finish this. Soggy bottom pizza I could only eat half of, and the pancetta topping was undercooked. You could only eat the pizza with a knife and fork so the wheel cutter supplied was optimistic and somewhat redundant. "Sorry. The kitchen is busy" really wasn't good enough, and you don't like to kick up a fuss. Our waiter was great though. He knows if he asks about the food to expect an honest response. This was Christmas Eve. So it wouldn't out me off returning as overall the experience was great.

No issues at the Millstone! My family visited on Christmas Day and had a fantastic time. Our party was initially a booking of 8 but reduced to 6 on the day due to illness. We accepted the fact we would still pay full price for 8, given the fact the menu was unique to Christmas Day and would otherwise be wasted. The Millstone even packed up the guests’ food who couldn’t be there and this was very special. Moreover, since ice cream couldn’t be taken away, our waiter offered a round of drinks! No complaining here! Obviously Christmas Day is pretty pricey per head but I can understand why. Service was on point with each meal being delivered promptly. Personally, I had the steak which was cooked to perfection and was delicious. Every member of my family enjoyed their food too. The kids Antipasti starter may have not been ideal for a 7 year… Nevertheless, we had a lovely time. Thanks to the team on Christmas Day and we’ll be returning again in the new year!

As a family we always choose to come here as the staff are amazing, the food ridiculously good and we have never had a bad experience. Beats any manchester restaurant we have ever been too.

A refreshing change and quite superb service and food

Visited for a Xmas evening out, four of us, the ambience of the place was magical. My only gripe was my friends had chicken in a sauce, this came with fries, no veg included or even the option for veg, the price wasn't cheap, so feel they need to add vegetables with fries or even better new potatoes. I'm giving 4 stars, for my meal, which was delicious, I had the sea bass which included veg and fries, so better value.

Fabulous night out with friends, food was superb and service attentive and friendly. Very lucky to have this close by.

Service was good, very polite and professional. Seating was extremely cramped for 3 people on a small 2 person table. Food I would describe as average at best, pizza and garlic breads that greasy the toppings slide off. Lobster ravioli dry and the fregola di mare had a massive lump of battered soft shell crab on top of it, which was not sold as battered. Definitely won't be rushing back.

What an amazing place to eat . Proper elegant . Honestly not massive on this type of food . But boy I'll be back ! Was so so tasty . And the level of service is tremendous .

What a fantastic evening celebrating my husbands 50th birthday with family. We were greeted with a lovely warm welcome and all staff throughout the evening were very friendly and attentive. We were a party of 22 and they were able to deliver an excellent meal for each of us. Everyone absolutely loved their meals . The atmosphere was fab and the whole experience was perfect for our family celebration- thanks to you all🥂.

Got charged twice for a dessert we only ordered 1 of, which also arrived late to the table. No response from customer service email sent 1 week ago.

100% recommend Lucianos. Four of us had lunch today and it was perfect, thank you. Service was very friendly and attentive from the moment we arrived, great cocktails, food was totally delicious and ambience was wonderful. We will definitely be returning.

It was my wife’s big birthday so my stepson and partner took us out for a meal I have never been there before but I was really surprised the restaurant is really nice and vey bright, the staff are absolutely amazing especially with our little grandson they made a real fuss of him. The food is very good and very tasty not to badly priced either certainly we would go again.

Vegetarians avoid! Gnocchi is absolutely disgusting, it’s floppy and sticks to every bit of your mouth. The olives are cheap, the sauce has no distinctive flavour and is far too thick. I was offered Parmesan even though it’s made with meat product and that’s even on the menu in seal marked as vegetarian. The rice balls smelled of unclean fat and again are gloopy. The tables are cramped and the tablecloth was actually dirty even though we arrived at lunchtime, not that there’s ever an excuse. Then they have the cheek to add a service charge to the bill without mentioning it! The staff were nice but the food was not.

On a particularly wet night we were greeted with a very warm welcome and enjoyed a first class evening. Food was varied well presented and tasty. Our servers Megan, Amelia and Kia looked after is in a very efficient and professional manner they were a credit to the establishment and I hope management are aware. To finish would I return a definite yes.

Perfect place for celebrating. Cocktails and wine choices are great. Set in an old style building which gives a great atmosphere. We usually travel into Manchester for this type of quality so it's great to see this level of service and quality closer to home. The birthday singing is fun! Our server Megan clearly loves what she does and nothing was too much trouble which makes a massive difference.

Very enthusiastic staff with passion for service and food. Lovely area, some of the best presented and varied Italian menus, all done very well. The crab is a bit small, but every item is done perfectly well, and the portions are large. A large selection of alcohol and they even accommodated the children and elderly well. A real 5 star in this area.

We had a lovely meal here this evening. We all enjoyed the food, service & atmosphere. The food is not too expensive and there is an extensive choice of drinks. One negative is that the music is very loud so can make having a conversation is hard going if there are a group of you.

The menu is fairly wide and of good quality. Staff are friendly and provide a professional service. Music is a little loud in restaurant so makes it bit difficult for conversation. Good for children in summer with outside play area.

The food as we’ve found before is very good but the service was very intrusive and pushy for our group of 7. We were asked about drinks from 3 different waiters even though we’d already ordered, then asked to order our food before we sat at our dining table. More than once. Then as we immediately sat in the restaurant asked again! Being a supporter of slower food I found this too much! Food was very good but service certainly needs to be about the customer not how quick the service can be over!

I came in with my boyfriend this evening, I had never been before and had really high expectations as members of my family have been and have said it was lovely. However we had booked to go to cinema for 9:40 and our meal was at 8pm and we don't spend too long at restaurants meaning we knew we had more than enough time . We arrived on time and still ended up waiting 20 minutes for our table whilst the servers were trying to take our food order when we hadn't even sat at the table. We had asked for a garlic bread to come with the mains and everything all together and we were sat at the table with the garlic bread before I got someone's attention around 5 minutes later to ask where our mains were. By that time the garlic bread had gone cold and the lasange I had just didn't really live up to the expectations I thought it would. The restaurant was also extremely hot and I felt very faint as the windows were closed and we were seated in an enclosed corner. Overall I'm a little upset and like I said I had really good expectations. I work in hospitality myself and I can understand it can be frustrating but it wasn't the best of experiences.

Great place to book a birthday! The staff singing happy birthday is fantastic and hilarious. I've never seen three birthday dinners in the space of an hour. Amazing food, big portions, and very reasonably priced. Beautiful setting and great atmosphere. The restaurant is a big building by some country so we had a walk before our reservation. 10/10 recommend

100% excellent. Megan our waitress was extremely pleasant and efficient (management potential most definitely). First class food, lovely ambiance, highly recommend. I am not a fan of service being put on the bill as I like to reward staff personally. I hope the said service charge reaches the staff. Will return as it is one of the nicest restaurants in the region.

Table booked for 7pm. Agreed to have a drink as the table wasn't quite ready. Got the drinks at 7.15pm from a bar that was stacked with glasses waiting to be washed. Given menus at 7.30 ( still in the bar sitting at a table that hadn't been cleaned). At 8pm we decided to leave having not finished our drinks. Offered to pay for our drinks ( 1 large red wine, 1 white wine and soda, 1 non alcoholic lager and 1/2 pint of lager). We were charged £15 and told that was an £8 discount. Clearly the drinks are expensive. There was no apology. Didn't get to sample the food which was a shame as last time we went it was delicious. In summary they were clearly overbooked and or understaffed. Management needs to look at yesterday evening and see what lessons can be learnt. We are frequent visitors to family and friends in the area and I don't think either us or our family/friends will be booking at Luciano's again.

Terrible management - massively overbooked. Weren’t seated until nearly 45 mins after booking time and that’s only because we had insisted. Starters nearly 1.30 after booking and mains nearly 2 hours later. Managers sending in serving staff to apologise because they knew they were completely inadequate in terms of management of a restaurant. Toilets queues, smelly and barely any running water. Food was fine when arrived. Plenty of other better places. Never again.

Delicious pizza. However i would question the pricing policy on the beer. I paid £3.50 for half a pint of bitter. A pint of the same drink was £5.50.

The food was very nice and tasty. The problem is there’s not much for your money . I had a rack of lamb which is meant 3 pieces of lamb and the roast potatoes was 3 bits from one potatoe wish I had taken a picture of it. My partner she had chicken and fries which was ample for her and was very nice. I had some of her fries because I’m still wondering how they could of called it a main what I had and for price it was a bit pricey been better with a few more potatoes and maybe some veg.

We celebrated our daughter’s baptism at Luciano’s and it was excellent. We had a large party and the food was outstanding and didn’t run out, despite there being some hungry mouths! Also, we had two people with allergies in our party and they catered for them superbly making special dishes. We had our own section of the restaurant but didn’t feel forgotten by staff who were continually clearing away, bringing drinks and making sure the party was perfect. The playground is exceptionally well maintained and kept the kids occupied! Thank you so much for all your hard work in making our special day so wonderful, many of our guests said they will be returning with their families!

I was pleasantly surprised by the delicious pizza. Much better than many pizzerias in Italy. Very kind staff to fulfill our requests, we had two children with us. I will definitely come back to try more.

From the minute we walked in the staff were friendly and welcoming. Very clean and great atmosphere. Food was excellent and just right amount of food. Couldn’t fault anything even the bill was lower than expected. Definitely recommend and will most certainly be back.

We came from Canada for my sister's graduation, 20 or so of us had dinner here. The swordfish was so good and servers were constantly present. My whole family really enjoyed it here!

I couldn't wait to try the food here, my husband tried the Pizza with chillies (which he didn't ask for) so he couldn't eat it as chillies do harm to his hiatus hernia and they told him ,"oh it comes like that, if you want plain, you have to ask for plain".I'm,m sorry but pizza is pizza 🍕 if he wanted chillies he would have asked for chillies but he didn't. Then it came to my chicken in white wine sauce which was way too watery. As far as I'm aware, chicken in white wine sauce is thick? And even though the restaurant said he doesn't have to pay for his pizza, I still had to pay for mine and I don't believe the staff were very happy with us at all. But we won't be going back. Service charge on top of the bill was too expensive. We never got a service charge teaching high school kids and that's way harder!

A nice relaxed dining experience for mid week - relatively quiet, but I know at weekends it's buzzing and may not suit some people . Good authentic Italian recipes, bar area available to start your evening off with a drink and review of the menu. Overall excellent as usual.

Went here for dad’s birthday and let me tell you now this was the best restaurant I’ve been to for a long time. The food was outstanding , the managers on door were friendly and welcoming , I sat in the bar waiting for family members and was immediately greeted by a staff member with menu’s to look at and a drinks order . After being escorted to my seat in the restaurant I was then greeted by a lovely young girl called Megan who was very knowledgeable and clearly knew what she was doing , then my beautiful food came out by a tall ginger lad who was unbelievably polite and constantly checked if the food was okay . Must say lucianos is employing the correct staff !!! Congrats !!

Came on Father’s Day, we hadn’t booked but this was no problem as we were accommodated and seated at a table quickly. The food and service was excellent, delicious sea bass and tiramisu, great atmosphere, busy & thriving. My mum mislaid her handbag, staff were concerned and helpful, all ended well, our thanks and apologies.

As locals, we come here often. Great service, served by Megan last night who was professional, friendly & kept drinks flowing. Food was exquisite. Will remain one of our favourites ❤️

After passing this restaurant many times we decided to stop for lunch. We were very impressed by not only the decor but especially the food . It was superb , the lobster spaghetti was so good that we asked for some of it to come home with us , which was sorted in seconds Very friendly staff , quick service , exceptional food with amazing cheesecake Will defo be back

The restaurant and bar area are very classy. The outside area is well kept. Big car park which is needed for this popular restaurant. It's great for a special occasion or an intimate dinner. As a first time visitor on Bank Holiday lunchtime, I have no complaints. Everything, and I mean everything was faultless. Lunchtime table for two as a walk in, staff welcoming, waiters and waitresses very polite, attentive. The service was fantastic. The food was superb. A starter, two mains, two desserts and a drink for less than £35 pp. Absolute spot on. We will return for a nice evening meal and a few glasses of wine without a doubt

Yeh it was OK. Went for food after a big walk. I had the pepperoni pizza which was alright... admittedly my perception of most pizzas is they are all very similar, so I'm probably not the best judge. The food did take aaaaaaggggesss to come tho,but maybe because it was a bank holiday, but it did look big enough/not full enough to cope. Some of the others said their fish was pretty dry too, as was my kids chicken goujons.

Just really disappointed with the service, it was recommended so not sure we will return, had to wait half an hour for a desert spoon, then when we ordered coffee they totally forgot about us so it took an hour atleast .... not good

Went for our anniversary tonight and it was awful, feel like we wasted our night. We waited 45 minutes for our starters and when they finally arrived they were wrong waited another 40 minutes for our main courses and I only had lasagna, it wasn’t hot and it was dried up. My husband had beef which was tasteless and should have been roast potatoes but they were boiled potatoes. Will never go again! There seemed to be a lot of people waiting long periods of time tonight.

My only negative comment would be that after taking us to our table, it was almost an hour before the food arrived, which made it difficult as we had a 6 month old and a 3year old with us. However the welcome was good, the staff polite and professional. I would definitely go again. The menu was very varied and the food quality excellent. Everyone in our party enjoyed their meals. Though my grandson said the yorkshire puddings were not as good as mine. I think he was trying to score Brownie points 😂😂😂 Thank you for an enjoyable experience.

One of my new favourites :) Not the fastest, but we were not in a rush and we had a great time. The surroundings are beautiful.

The food was fabulous. I got a Margherita Pizza and a salmone Giallo. The desserts were also amazing. I got an Italian Vanilla Pannacotta. The staff were very friendly. I recommend to have the salmone Giallo. I would definitely come again.

We ate at Luciano last Saturday night, there was a large party of family went for a birthday. All of our guests enjoyed their meals, but nearly all had something to say about the staff. At the end of the night I just paid the bill and went home. It wasn't until the next morning when I got asked about the bill that I noticed a discretionary 10% service charge added to it, as you can guess with a party of 12 people with meals and drinks it was a good amount. I have looked at the menu and just under the allergies' information it says about this but it's not that noticeable unless you are looking for it. We were not asked if we wanted to pay this which I find unreasonable and therefore I have decided that we will not eat here again .

Our first visit to Luciano's at the Millstone mid afternoon and I strongly recommend you visit. Francesco was brilliant and funny, the food is excellent and the wine too. We will definitely be going back. Thank you.
